A really bad Momma CQ comic spin off
@alainaprana
A spin-off ending of the momma CQ fanfiction, all credit for previous events goes to their respective owners, sorry if I did not credit you, I probably could not find your name. This takes place directly after part 6 of the written story. Sorry for any “errors” (get it?) in spelling or grammar (still in high school), also sorry if this is too sweet for your bittersweet tastes. Anyways, here it is!
    “I miss you too…”
Mumbled an all too familiar voice that the previously peaceful group could not quite place. Every member of the group turned in unison to look at the speaker. Silence fell over the group, followed by feelings of anger, tension, disbelief, and joy. The speaker was a skeleton with what seemed like a two dimensional, rectangular cloud over one eye. He wore a white jacket with the palest pink tinge on the front that looked almost like- blood? Blood that someone had tried to wash out and a red tattered scarf.
A hesitant Geno was peeking out from behind a tall person wearing a black cape attached to a black hood, hiding the figure’s face. At the sight of everyone looking at him, and the sudden new atmosphere, he gave a small “eep” and he tugged on the cloak. In response, the figure snapped their fingers and a purple sheen covered what little the group could see of Geno before vanishing, Geno included. Silence once more.
Then, chaos
Error and Fresh sprang to their feet and launched themselves at the figure who- vanished? Then reappeared feet in front of them as they collapsed in a heap. They were too tangled up in each other to move their limbs.
“I’ll be at your place if you want to talk, oh, and uh, I wouldn’t get the police involved if I were you.”
Fresh and Error barely had enough time to scream obscenities before the figure disappeared in the same purple hue that had covered Geno not moments before.
“Sir?! Excuse me, sir?!”
Error and Fresh faced this new voice to see their mother shaking an unconscious man in a chair at a neighboring table. One look around later, and the group had realized that everyone in the restaurant was unconscious, their eyes were purple. On further investigation, the fires in the kitchen were all extinguished, as to not burn the building down.
  Later
Some people were coming to, the purple fading from their eyes. CQ was in a state of shock, being comforted by Ink’s mother while Fresh and Error were arguing with Ink about whether or not to call the police.
“What if whoever that was hurts Geno if we call the cops?” was Ink’s perspective.
Fresh’s was “That was NOT Geno, Ink! Geno is DEAD that was the whole point of this meal! To honor him!”
Error managed to chime in through his glitch “Whoever that was has Geno’s body, he isn’t resting in peace! I say we find whoever that was and beat them until they beg for mercy!”
“No.” CQ whispered. At the sound of her voice, the boys fell quiet.
“Whoever that was, they have my baby boy.” She looked up. Her eyes were empty, hollow, but with the most miniscule of lights in them.
“They said that they were waiting for us at home, mom.” Error cautioned.
“Who cares, broski? Let’s find ‘em and get our Geno back.” Fresh said, standing on a table and flexing his non-existent muscles.
“We should call the police at least. You know, get some back-up?” called Ink as Error and Fresh began to rush towards the door.
Ink’s mother informed them that she already had, just as the police sirens began to blare from the police station down the block. Seconds later, while being escorted into the vehicle on their way to the family’s home, police could be seen taking statements from confused and dazed restaurant patrons. The police had been unexpectedly formal. All were wearing some form of tinted glasses and only talking to ask questions, and very few words of comfort. Once in the cars, not one officer said anything, despite the yelling between the boys in the back, and despite the increasingly curious and frantic questions, mainly about calling for backup.
Once the cars pulled into the house, the police did not draw their weapons, but positioned themselves on either side of the family and escorted them towards the house. When CQ tried to stop one of them, they went into a semi-circle formation around the family. With the officials in front and on the sides of them, they only way foreword was into the house. The eye coverage could no longer hide the purple glow in their eyes.
“She is waiting for you,” spoke the lead officer for the first time since the family had seen him.
The boys stood in defensive stances between their mothers and the officers. When the semi-circle began to move closer, the lights in the house flicked on and the door swung open.
“Stand down, now.” A clearly feminine voice called. The hooded humanoid… thing (for despite its figure, this was clearly not a human) stood in the doorway.
“Sorry about that, when I choose to control something or someone, I do not like to literally pull the strings. I prefer to give them an order. I should have known from previous experiences to be more careful with my wording.”
Error and Fresh prepared to fly at the mysterious thing when she (it?) disappeared back inside the house with a call over the shoulder.
“Now, now, let us not be so hasty, we are all here for a purpose, and I am sure you are curious as to what mine is. Shall we talk about it inside? It is dreadfully chilly out there, you could get sick.”
Fresh and Error raced inside in fury with CQ, Ink, and Ink’s mother following close behind.
There, in the living room, the stranger was sitting in a chair. Chuckling softly to itself, it questioned the air:
“Are you still unsure of your decision? You could be happy again.”
“Pfffff! Like we could be happy when you have our brother’s CORPSE!” shouted Fresh. Error simply rushed at the thing, until he found himself flailing, suspended in midair.
“I’m here to help,” said it, now frowning. “You do not have to make this difficult.”
“Yeah. Yeah we do. This is so NOT cool broski.” Fresh managed to push through his teeth. It seemed that he was looking for an opening, or a blind spot. His hands were twisted into fists at his sides.
“Would it help if I told you why I am here? You may yell at me all you like, but it would only hurt him if you thought that my reason was false.” Error’s glitch was going haywire at this point; he was unable to get any sounds out at all.
“You can come out now, they shall not believe me otherwise.”
There was shuffling from behind the chair.
The stranger continued: “You like my Pokémon cards, right? If you come out, you can have them all if you want.”
“…even the Mew one?” Geno called quietly.
“Yes, even the Mew,” the young woman said, laughing.
Slowly, sheepishly, Geno peeked out from behind the chair, and stood next to the woman.
Silence once again.
“…You ain’t our bro. Get out!” Fresh’s voice was low, but furious.
“Fresh I-“ Geno started.
“GET OUT!” Fresh shouted.
Geno turned his head and began to cry. The woman, instantly at his side, talked to him in a whisper and hugged him. Shivers ran down Fresh’s spine as the thing glared at him from under its hood. The woman snapped her fingers and a binder appeared in the air and floated down next to Geno.
“A promise is a promise, here you go.” The woman said, handing the album of cards to Geno. Fresh was now pinned in place by purple magic, as was everyone else in the room.
“You aren’t gonna hurt them, right?” asked Geno and he wiped his tears on a patch of his scarf.
“I will not hurt them. That, too, was a promise I made. You know I hate breaking promises.” Cooed the woman.
“Now, on to business.” The woman whipped around to face Fresh, anger radiating off her.
“Speaking of breaking promises, Fresh, you yelled at your brother. I told you that you could not yell at him. Now look what you’ve done.”
“That ain’t my bro. I dunno who you are, but my brother is dead!”
“Would you like proof? Would you like a demonstration as to how your brother is no longer dead? He was dead, this is true. He is alive now. That is a true fact. I can do, quite literally, anything I want to. Whether it was killing you all, or stopping a war. I can do it.”
“You are not a god!” CQ screamed, struggling against the magic to get to Error.
“I never said I was. I am simply… a disciple of the multiverse. But THAT is a discussion for another day. Now, a demonstration of a revival.” They pointed at Fresh, and the atmosphere is the room… moved? Like the air itself was alive, it swirled around Fresh, as if a mini tornado was focused on him. Strangely, the wind did not disturb anything else in the room. Then, from under the door, from around the house, from seemingly nowhere, tiny rivers of dust came streaming towards Fresh. The dust covered Fresh, then moved towards the area where his missing arm used to be. His arm began to reform, starting at the stump, and creating the rest of the arm as it went down. When the last particle of dust was in place, the wind died down. Leaving the room silent, but for the sniffles of joy and hope from everyone is the room (except for Error whose glitch was just now beginning to fade). The purple light vanished in an instant, leaving everyone free to run to Fresh, Geno, and Error. Error got to them last due to having to be lowered to the floor before the magic around him disappeared. The stranger stood off to the side, with a small, bittersweet grin on her face as she watched the boys eagerly look through the Pokémon card album and remembered why she herself could never be reunited with the ones she loved. Purple covered her once again as she prepared to leave. CQ stopped her.
“Thank you so much. You gave me my boy back, and healed my other one. But I must ask, why? Why help us strangers?”
“Truthfully, I was drawn to this universe. As I said before, I am a disciple of the multiverse. I go where I am needed. If I had come sooner, as I had intended, Geno would never have had to be in the hospital for so long, he should not have had to die. This was my fault. I am so very, very sorry. I can anticipate your next questions as well. Geno did not trust me at first. In truth, he tried to run when I first revived him. It took a lot of convincing to make him believe that this was real and that I was not there to hurt him. You taught him well; do not trust strangers. After he was less anxious around me, he told me his story. Of course I already knew it, but I was afraid he would try to bolt again if I told him that I knew everything. I knew everything because, heh, I know everything. I know more than the smartest scientist in your world will ever know, more than anyone in this world will ever know. It was his decision to not return immediately, he was ashamed of how much he had worried you all. Of how much he had hurt you. It took months to help him realize that he was causing you more pain by you not knowing that he was alive. Even then, he was afraid the response to his showing up would be the same one that Fresh and Error did indeed have. I think my time here is just about up, sorry to cut this short, but I have things to do in other universes. They can keep the cards. Who knows? I might be back, though hopefully on a brighter note. Don’t worry about the police and the other customers at the restaurant, I’ve sent them to their homes and given them fake memories. Oh, and, uh, sorry about all the lies, but if anyone asks where Geno was, just tell them something, I’ll back you up in my own way if they go snooping. See ya!” With that, she vanished.
CQ simply stared where the person had been only moments before, smiled, and went back to join her three sons as they stared at all the extremely rare Pokémon card treasures that the gift held. That became the day of Geno’s return to his family.
