Edit: seems like people misunderstood what I meant when I posted this. In the context of what I’m talking about (Naruto), the point the writer is conveying is incoherent and badly flawed by the portrayal of the villains.
Kishimoto wants to convey to us that you have good in you despite the “darkness”. The issue arises when he uses characters that - by his own series morals - are morally in the wrong. He himself set up a system where someone is deserving of redemption. So yes the idea of “deserving” makes perfect sense for the story I’m talking about
#Obito Uchiha#orochimaru#masashi kishimoto#og naruto#naruto shippuden#Kishimoto#anti kishimoto#naruto#saw this and immediately had to share because it’s smthn I think a certain author should’ve held to heart😒#forever will be pissed that two genuine evil people were redeemed#what type of point were you trying to make Kishimoto? genuinely#because there’s a line that shows who can be redeemed and who is a genuine villain#and both orochi and Obito crossed that line so far that they can’t even see it anymore#sins posting
