Truly, genuinely: did/ do people who ship Caitlyn and Vi actually believe/ believed they would stay together?

Originally, sure I shipped them, but as a lesbian I recognized that those two together long term were so toxic and messy that they couldn’t possibly last. That , even before season 2 came out, they would have the most earth shattering nuclear breakup ever
