#having less than functional eyes is so fun lmao#yesterday i attended a training and at one point#the instructor was like quizzing us#by tossing a lil stuffed koala and asking a question#cool normal ykno#but. here's the thing. i do not have peripheral vision at all#you toss something at me sometimes i can track it but usually i lose sight of it and it wacks me in the face#so the first time she threw it to me i saw it coming and kind if caught it tho it did still hit me in the face#the second time tho. i was looking at the person who had just answered a question#bc i was like trying to follow the koala back and forbt#but see she had two koalas#so while i was looking away she tossed the second koala at me but i ofc did not see it AT ALL#and just got hit in the side of the head with a stuffed koala#and ofc as is typical someone then said to the instructor (who apologized) 'well u did say to be constantly ready'#at which point i had to speak up and be like look. i have a fucking 20 degree field of vision - if that. u throw me something#i will not know unless im looking right at u and even then i probably wont catch it bc i'll lose track of it while its in the air#its truly a Joy :)))#and bonus that its now short days approaching winter and i am Nightblind so i cant see shit by 4:30
