Basic

⟢ his first name is Kiyoyume 

⟢ Yume is a Special Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer

⟢ His CT revolves around dreams and manipulating them. The gist is that he has the ability to invade a target’s mind and put them in a dream-like trance when they fight. He can then use the targets’ deepest fears, insecurities, weaknesses against them in various ways. This trance can also induce a phenomenon similar to sleep paralysis. Yume’s Domain Expansion creates a field of his own whim, basically an enclosed area where imagination is his only limitation. It’s more complex but I’ll put this here for now xx.

⟢ Since Yume’s abilities are heavily relied on mental capability, there is a limit to how much he can use during a certain time. Otherwise he risks insanity due to the lines between his imagination and reality blurring to the point of indistinguishability 

⟢ Yume (ironically) has really bad insomnia

Okay history time

⟢ Yume was part of Masamichi Yaga’s class and a fellow student of Satoru, Suguru, and Shoko. For the first half of first year, Yume was often seen interacting with Shoko rather than the other two. Their similarities in overall personality as well as interests rendered them as good friends, later leading   to Shoko introducing him to Satoru and Suguru. 

⟢ Although Yume went about the situation with incredible hesitance, their meeting went off without a problem. Even with the high contrast in Yume and Satoru’s personalities, it was clear that they connected without a hitch. The four of them became good friends and continued to stay in touch outside of class as well. 

⟢ There’s a lot more I could go into but I’ll leave their school lore at that lol

⟢ Unlike Toru who obviously continued on to hone his abilities after graduation and worked as a Jujutsu Sorcerer, Yume took a step back from the sorcerer world and ended up pursuing a career in professional fashion photography. Photography was Yume’s primary career for a long while before he started missing the action that came with being a Sorcerer. After a couple years, he switched to a balance of both sorcerer and non-sorcerer work. 

⟢ This half-and-half lifestyle seemed to work incredibly well, allowing for Yume to do what he liked while keeping touch with his friends.

⟢ Yume is officially introduced in Jjk canon a little while after Nanami’s first appearance. While Yuji was with Nanami to investigate the whole Junpei//Mahito ordeal in season 1 episodes 9-13, Toru had gone to go find Yume among his other tasks during the time. 

The two of them stayed in touch after school, but since Yume was constantly travelling for either photo shoots or missions from the higher up, it was mainly through online connections. 

Toru eventually convinced Yume to return with him to watch the Sister School Exchange Event in season 1 episode 14. That is when he makes his first screen appearance alongside Utahime.

⟢ Because of the fun Yume ended up having and realization that he missed getting to hang out with Satoru like they did as kids, he decided to pause his photography career to work as a sorcerer full time. 

⟢ It had been the most impulsive decision of his life, but Yume was incredibly happy with the results. Since it happened so suddenly, he ended up staying at the Technical College with Satoru. It was originally something temporary, but since Yume was constantly out on missions, it became a more permanent residence. He didn’t mind too much, considering he was right on campus for students and got to be with Satoru whenever their rests overlapped.

yeah, its just the 2 of them in the system ^^

giving a bit of context of the universe- basically, every time a child wishes their toy was real, a new baby is born with the memories of that toy. most of them end up forgetting this before they're able to talk, but because of trauma, the mc's personality split between the doll she was (calling her Dolly because all characters are still unnamed) and the girl she would've been had she had a good childhood (Lea, again all characters are unnamed im thinking these on the spot XD)

Dolly knows about the system. she knows she's an alter, she knows she's sharing a body with Lea, and she remembers everything that happened to her in her doll life (Lea meanwhile doesn't know shit 💀). at school, Lea meets this one girl (Maya), and since they get close Dolly decides to talk to her (Lea doesn't know tho). Dolly tells Maya about her (doll) life, and asks her to tell Lea about Dolly. Maya does it gently at first, but since Lea is deep in denial, Maya (still with the best intention) kinda gets her to remember her trauma between accidentally and on purpose

and about the ending, Dolly's existence doesn't go too well, so she ends up disappearing- this makes sense as a system, that when an alter goes through a lot of crap they go dormant, but I'm afraid if a singlet reads this they think the only way a system can be happy and/or functional is by becoming only one person

Here's my answer to this follow-up:

Cool stuff. I understand the background a little bit more now, and yeah, I can see where you are coming from.

You have a couple options regarding Dolly's departure from the story and system.

Option one: Stress that Dolly's departure was not something that Lea was actually happy with. Make them friends or even family, and make the departure full of regret. This is a sad ending, but not necessarily a bad one. You can bring Dolly back in a sequel, just know that whatever way you end your first volume, your readers will have expectations for future volumes.

Option two: Let Lea develop someone else in the process of the story. This person might act as a buffer to reduce the effect that Dolly leaving might have on the story or on Lea. I do not like this option personally, since it seems like a band-aid fix and Dolly is just being replaced.

Option three: Stress that Dolly is still alive, the dormancy is temporary, or that Lea is still a system in some way. Single-member systems are still systems. This is especially what you would want to do if you don’t want to write a tragedy.

Option four: Write what makes you happy and publish it— or don’t!—regardless of the consequences. There will always be haters, so as long as you feel your story is representing the right kind of people, you should be proud.

Moment of Awesome - Beatrice Davis/Birdy: Introductions in the form of Arthur and Felix, takes an unexpected turn when Jessica Jones graciously allows Bea to share her suite despite the telepathic nature of her power.

A hesitant smile formed on the smaller blonde's face, hand raising in a slight wave to the brunette. "Hello, Jessica, as Arthur said, I'm Beatrice, you can call me Bea if you'd like. I, uh, just got here last month."

Jessica regarded her suspiciously, gaze going between Beatrice and Arthur. "Um, welcome," she said, voice dubious. "You guys doing the rounds?"

"Bea here," Arthur said with an enthusiastic nod toward the blonde woman, "can't stay in the guest rooms forever. I'm showing her around and introducing her to friendly faces. We're seeing where the sparks fly."

“I have been rather reclusive unfortunately,” Bea laughed softly, unsure but unwilling to let her confusion show. “Have you been here long, Jessica? Two rooms, and now I’m thinking Arthur doesn’t live with you.”

"Uh, yeah, I - got here in the summer, I guess," Jessica said, her eyes flying guiltily to the unoccupied second room. Free rent was great, but you can't spend a significant portion of your life poor and take it for granted. She absolutely did not want this fragile little girl in her room asking delicate, stupid questions, but she still found herself saying, "I mean, it's fine, I guess, it's not like I own it or anything, so if you need a place to stay . . . " She trailed off, pained.

“Oh that’s so kind of you, Jessica,” as Bea spoke a hand came up to rest against above her heart. “I- Well, I mean, if it’s truly not a hassle, that would be so nice.”

A flash of confusion washed across Arthur's face. "I was — what I —"

He was interrupted by Felix, who had decided that Jessica's apartment had been sufficiently explored. His owner and he exchanged pointed looks.

"Bea, remember what we talked about in the hall? Jess should know what you can do."

“Oh! Oh yes.” Beatrice looked to Jessica, meeting her eyes throw her brows pinched together. “You should know, I am a telepath, and I understand if that changes your offer entirely.”

Arthur, for his part, locked eyes with Jessica to deliver the universally agreed upon look for "it is your decision," followed by the less universally acknowledged expression for "you can say no." Jessica Jones was a detective. She knew how to read people.

Expression frozen, Jessica looked desperately at Arthur, and saw the universal expression for "you owe me", perhaps with a frisson of "I'm a good person and this is what I would do". Whether that meant she owed him for the camera, for the place to stay (who did own this place?), for some past favor that Jess no longer remembered - it didn't matter, because doubling down and drowning your regret later had already been on the tip of the tongue. "Stay out of my head, and it's no problem," she said, managing to keep her voice relatively neutral, the tension in her hands disguised by the simple act of holding the camera box.

Beatrice’s eyes widened a fraction, confusion covering shock quickly. “Of course, Jessica, I don’t have any intention of being in anyone’s head without their say.”

"I," Arthur's voice was a cautious knife meant to cut any building tension, "am excited to see how this friendship grows." He said it the same way a man in a burning building might say, "this is fine," but he offered a pair of thumbs up to really sell it. "This'll be great."

Felix, doubtful, let out a small whine.
