I recently started cussing on my blog and in my head and when I’m alone irl.

I’m very very sorry if I don’t know what an abbreviation means, I’m kinda new to the internet so if it’s the first time you are using the abbreviation with me i suggest in (these thingys) putting what it means, it will help and reduce confusion and I thank anyone who does.

a dynamic duo gets back together

"Dallon! I brought home takeout!" Christopher called as he walked into the apartment. Work had been keeping him busy and the investigation even busier, but he knew he needed to talk to the other. "Dal?"

Dallon took one of the boxes and almost cautiously peaked into it as if he wanted to appear uninterested in the food, when in fact he actually was interested in it. He turned his attention back to Chris. "Oh? That's good. So you like working for the newspaper?" He asked. "Aww well I'm glad the kittens were saved and are going to good homes." Dallon smiled, picturing a box of cute little kittens.

Christopher handed off a pair of chopsticks, but he also set down a fork for the other. "Yeah, I love it," he lied. This wasn't the adventure he wanted. There was no joy in it, but it was what Dallon wanted. What Dallon didn't know is they were one of the good homes. "I'm glad too. I love cats."

Dallon gave in and took the chopsticks, fully opening a container and pulling it closer before trying to use the chopsticks. He wasn't the most coordinated, but he could get a few bites in with the chopsticks before usually abandoning them for the fork. "That's good. I told you that you'd find something." He said, glad that his best friend found something he enjoyed. "Cats are pretty cool. They're all cute and fluffy. Cat videos are so great. They do the funniest stuff."

He sat down finally and pulled over the vegetarian dish he'd ordered for himself, opening the box and getting to work with his chopsticks. Chris had no difficulty at all. "I know, you're always right. Maybe, once things calm down, this place will start feeling like a home." He nodded as Dallon described the good in cats before stating, "Which is why one of the kittens getting fixed is ours. A black cat."

Dallon had managed to get some noodles and chicken on the table, having missed his mouth a couple of times. He finally gave in and used the fork. Dallon couldn't help but smile when Chris said that this place could start to feel like a home. He recalled the conversation the two of them and Gale had the other day. "You sure that's what you want?" He asked. Dallon's head shot up at the mention of them getting a kitten. "Wait really? We're getting a kitten?"

Christopher continued to use the sticks, getting his vegetable lo mein to his mouth like an expert. At the question, he just nodded. This was what Dallon wanted, so it was what he wanted. Seeing excitement on his friend's face he beamed, "Yes! We're getting a kitten. A little boy. Named him Binx-- if you're okay with that. They wanted a name to make sure we were serious."

Dallon almost asked him if he wouldn't rather have a home with Gale, but he stopped himself. If Chris didn't want to be with him in any sense then he would have left years ago right? Instead he focused on the excitement of getting a kitten. "Aww little Binxy. Yes I like that name. Thank you so much, Babe." He said, the pet name slipping out before he could even think about it. Dallon quickly looked back to his food, not sure if Chris would say anything about it or not.

His excited smile softened as the nickname came out, and taking the moment to dare, he reached out to touch Dallon's arm. "Yeah, little Binxy. I know Hocus Pocus used to be so terrifying to you, but... I thought it would be nice to honor the cat from it. Our own little protector as things turn from bad to worse in the building."

Dallon glanced back up as he felt the hand on his arm, releasing a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding. "Yeah I mean witches are scary, but I loved Binx and yeah that's kind of a good way to look at it." He grinned. He hadn't even thought of it that way, just recognized the name from the movie. "When do we get to bring him home?"

Christopher smiled to his long time friend then, feeling as if he had broken through a barrier. "The witches could be pretty scary. I used to have nightmares about getting my soul sucked," he admitted. "Mm, they said it would be a week before he was ready for us"

"They're definitely not as bad as ghosts, but that's because I don't really think that kind of witchcraft is really a thing, but I still feel like ghosts are." He frowned slightly, but nodded. "I feel like that's so far away. Do you at least have a picture of him?" Dallon asked.

"You see, I'm the opposite. I know a lot of people who have claimed to place curses on me and... Some of them seem to come true," he rubbed the back of his neck. At the request of a picture of the kitten, Chris pulled out his phone and pulled up the image, handing it off then. "Here you go."

He grabbed Chris' phone and looked at the kitten. "He's so cute. I can't believe you got us a cat." He said, looking at the picture a little longer before handing it back to Chris.

After Dallon left the room, Christopher went to the medicine cabinet and pulled out his unmarked pill bottle. He popped one of the pills then moved out to the living room to join the other. “So, what are we watching?”

Dallon shifted to press closer as he was pulled. His hand grabbed his shirt tightly as he kissed back his own eyes sliding close as he tried to pour his emotions into the kiss.

He followed the other as he moved, shifting to straddle him. He slid his tongue past Chris' lips, running a hand through his hair.

"You guess? Dallon, own it," he joked, placing his hands at the other man's sides. "You wanted me and you took it. If you want to act like this more, I'm definitely not complaining." He grinned, taking the remote and pausing the movie then. "You can be the boss, Dallon."

"Sorry. I mean no I'm not sorry." He said with a nod. "Yeah? You like that?" Dallon asked, raising an eyebrow. It had been kind of fun. "Right we were watching a movie. I kind of forgot." He laughed. He turned back to look at Chris. "Ok well if I'm the boss, then...take of your shirt." Dallon said with a small grin.

Christopher laughed at his indecision and shook his head. But then, at the command to take off his shirt, his eyes went wide. However, he obliged. "Alright, Mr. Boss. What's next then? Continue the movie?"

Dallon looked over him, running a hand down his chest. "You ask too many questions." He said, shaking his head. "What's the point of pausing it to just unpause it right after?" He asked, not understanding. Dallon leaned back in to give him a quick kiss on the lips before kissing along his shoulders and chest.

His face was growing red. This was way different from the times with Dallon before. Chris swallowed and closed his eyes as the hand traced over his chest. Then the kissing started and he bit his lower lip, "I take it that that's your way of telling me to shut up."

He nodded, trying to just think about Chris and how he missed being with him like this and not about their fight or how he'd been the reason he was hurt or the whole Gale thing. He kissed him back, running his hands down Chris' sides, gripping his hips gently.
