i firmly believe that if vincent benitez died, lawrence would follow so quick it wouldn't even be funny. like he gets the call and as soon as the words register, *boom* -> that was his heart giving out

and if lawrence died first, benitez wouldn't die immediately. but a part of his heart sure did. and he'd carry on with his papal duties for as long as he could, but he'd never be the same as he was before lawrence's passing

#lawrence just wouldn't be able to handle the grief #or the stress of managing another conclave #better to be gently scolded by benitez up in heaven #then to oversee a 100+ of his most irritating sob coworkers once more #and benitez would try to make lawrence proud #and do right by him during his years #but he's sure not going to delay his death #if it means he gets to see lawerence </3 #lawrenitez #thomas lawrence #vincent benitez #conclave
