i cried this stream when i saw the sign, when i saw slime write “love you Flippa, thanks for all”, my crying doesnt happen often but i DID cry holy fuck.

Yknow the whole stream of dia de los muertos really hit home for me that, yeah  Juanaflippa is dead. the real juanaflippa is dead and she’s gone. and in the aftermath two broken people are left. flippa is seeing her papa, the one always trying his best to be the parent Juana needed, now a broken man because of her death and what he’s missing, and now fully seeped into denial about the “juanaflippa” that he’s takign care of now.

i love dia de los muertos for what it means for people, a time for people to remember people they love, to take this moment and acknowledge that yeah, they may be physically gone, but they are loved, they are kept in memory and will live on that way, it allows that fact to sit with them and still be able to smile because of the time spent when they were around.

this whole stream made me remember that, esp with slime and juanaflippa, because slime has never really had a cahnce to properly grieve. like he’s stuck in the cycle and barely reaching acceptance before getting dragged back down again. every coping mechanism he’s done: alcoholism, hurting himself, putting others down, trying to shift all blame and pain to mariana, litterally Gegg, so much traumadumping, some extension codeflippa, etc. all of that is to try and grapple and fight with that pain, to make it go away and replace it with something better. but really grief and its pains never go away, the sad feeling of missing someone never truly heals, people just learn how to live with it, to keep seeing the next day happy with it, no matter how much it hurts, slime never learned how to do that

he’s never had a chance to heal and learn to live with flippa’s memory in him, never learned how completely accept “yes, she’s gone and i might never spend more time with her again, but i’ll never forget her”

this day, he’s still deep in denial, he’s not truly willing to acknowledge juanaflippa is dead, no matter how much juana shoves the book about the her beign welcomed to the mictlān, the signs are there but he can’t bear to say it outloud she’s dead. he knows but he’s never going to face it until he’s forced to,

but he can have that moment, this day in the event place, to accept that moment isn’t going to last forveer and that’s ok, he has to go and not see juanaflippa in a while. at least the last memory he will have of Juanaflippa will not be that whtioe room under the cemetary, watch her be taken away and crying out for her. instead his last memory wil be hide and seek, hugs and happy flips, hanging with Tilin, seeing her so happy, the sign thnaking her

thanking Juana for being herself, thank her for existing, thank her for being the happiest memory i have, thank her for all...

and he is able to leave on his own terms, no rushed goodbyes because of settime limits. he is able to say goodbye, i have to go now.

it’s not really acceptance, but it’s close enough for the day, and for slime and what he’s going through, it’s enough

Sure! I've already spoken about him HERE though consider this current ask as a deeper dive now that we know more about him.

SLIME AND THE HEART ASPECT

To define: the Heart aspect concerns itself with identity and emotional intuition, and how one views themselves. Ironically enough Heart concerns with the mind itself in contrast to its opposite the Mind that deals with rational thinking, and the persona that one consciously puts on for the world. Wwhwh which is why I like comparing q!Slime (heart-player) and q!Quackity (mind-player) so much because while they are in ways similar, their places of concern are very different.

About Slime he's a very emotionally driven person with everything he does he puts his all into it, and those motivations often originate from how he feels about the situation. Big examples being HIS love for his daughter, HIS resentment for his wife back during the trial, and while these motivations involve other people. If it weren't for any outside intervention, a lot of the decisions he makes are absolute, thinking if he were to do things like kill the other eggs out of love and sacrifice q!Mariana because he couldn't forgive what she did, not to mention send HIMSELF into eggxile because he hates himself - that these solutions were his only way out. His determination is both his strength and his flaw in the sense his thinking can be so clouded by the one emotion - and that's what makes him such a Heart-player.

A/N: these next parts as go more in depth about Slime and relationships with other people with a dash of classpect lingo in there. The answer is above you, you do not need to read anything below ToT [ more undercut ]

Other than his emotions, identity (like Heart-players do) to Slime's character is also very important when thinking about him and the problems that stem from his self-image. It is the reason why Gegg exists to Slime as this separate entity - similar to what splinters are to Dirk Strider, Gegg is a division of Slime. I've spoken about Gegg and Slime's roles in under THIS thread, an extract:

Gegg is not only a coping mechanism but the part of him that still wishes to be loved- and when he is it’s addicting but it comes at a price for his honesty (and his literal voice). When he is Gegg there is a unique way he carries himself - he’s confident, ambitious, and a little silly the kind of thing that draws everyone near and he does so because he’s new. Charlie has messed up so many times he feels like a lost cause, and becoming Gegg exists as his second shot at life crime-free. Gegg is the part of Slime that embodies his desires, and Charlie is the part that represents what he believes he needs…. Or smth like that.

SLIME AND THE HEIR CLASS

(debunk) Alternatively Slime could also be a Prince of Heart (one that destroys the self) though based on peer review on that classpect's goals, I feel pinning Slime's goal as 'destroying heart' is a little too morbid for his story. Mind, you being a Prince of Heart isn't completely a BAD thing - I just don't feel destruction of heart is neither the right message or answer for Slime's problems. Furthermore, Slime does not ghost his opposing aspect (Mind) like the prince class usually does, Slime is NOT a rational thinker -- he is moved by the heart more than anything. A/N: 'ghosting' in classpect terms means to appear as the player's opposing aspect on surface level. Eg from the surface Dirk elicits Mind characteristics when in reality he is Heart. (LOL I just learnt what this was today)

Which leads to Slime's association as an Heir of Heart instead. This is the ability to invite the manipulation of the heart, and in other words quite literally become their aspect (yknow typical Slimecicle PC behaviour).

Slime being an Heir of Heart means he is easily swayed by his emotion as it changes constantly to new situations like from the Trial, to Eggxile, to the Elections and so on. He is also very empathetic to others and it is the way that he cares about them is what influences the choices he makes based on what HE thinks is best for the situation NOT because someone else told him to.

Notes from outside sources: "An Heir of Heart would have an amazingly well developed sense of compassion and empathy, and in fact may find it hard not to empathize with even the most evil and hurtful of people." -dahniwitchoflight This part connects especially to his friendship with Quackity (both of them), that while he was suspicious of his intentions throughout the debate Slime still sympathises with Quackity because he is his friend and the history they share goes too deep to abandon (psycho4psycho solidarity). Same goes for Slime and q!Foolish during the election debates. He doesn't hold any grudges for him when he understands that his apprehension stems from fear (something Slime has felt many times before).

"ASURA: The Heir of Heart is naturally protected by their splinters. The Heir’s splinters would exist as unruly spirit-like guardians who look out for them. In times of need the Heir can make physical manifestations of their splinters" - creative-classpect I absolutely love this take on splinters and heirs! Especially with Gegg in a way he to Slime acts as a guardian Slime will turn to him on the defensive. Honestly the ideal relationship between Slime and Gegg we might not ever see u_u

Looking more into Gegg's story during the Election arc we see examples of this power through his debates. His speeches inspiring change and consolation amongst other candidate runners to rally against the Federation. Yet at the same time these speeches can evoke fear, bringing out their true nature - like Foolish trying to shoot him, ElQuackity despite being a political rival instinctually diving to protect Gegg, influence on q!BBH to push through his paranoia and support Gegg while he was still in the running thus making that care package. Gegg was able to inspire those around him, and in the long run inspire Slime to one day love and accept every part of himself.

DAPDUO and Psicologoier Therapy Session: An interaction I think often about being the interaction between Slime and q!Roier (Melissa) during the therapy session with Quackity and how well it represents the difference in interactions between two Heart-players (Heir and Witch) and also how well it's a juxtaposition on where these two characters are in life despite having the same aspect. QUACKITY: Well maybe her (Melissa) more than anybody can understand us. SLIME: Melissa, do you ever think feel like you wanna be someone else? On one hand for personas such as Melissa, Roier is very attuned to them and works alongside them - whilst with Slime and Gegg it was a constant struggle to maintain control and cooperation until the very end as there were characteristics in both Gegg and Slime that Slime was struggling to accept.

SLIME: WELL MY HOUSE WAS ALREADY ROBBED. I GOT ROBBED OF A DAUGHTER. SO NOW I TRY TO FIND MEANING IN ANYWAY I CAN AND RIGHT NOW THATS FUCKING GEGG. SO IM SORRY IF IM NOT THE SON YOU WANTED ME TO BE!

SLIME: Everyone hates me. Every single person on the server I tried I tried and they all hate Gegg.

Oh shit and also:

SLIME: But... What if there's a chance Gegg really could make a friend, and that takes it away? QUACKITY: Gegg has one friend already - Quackity. SLIME: Then Gegg... Will help the friend that loves Gegg.

Evidence that as a Heir of Heart Slime's emotions can be easily swayed. This comes up again after the QSMP Dinner with ElQuackity showing the difference between the motivations between someone of Heart and someone of Mind who recognises the vulnerability of Heart.

I believe part of the reason that Gegg ran for president is not entirely because of Charlie being afraid of people using his past against him, though that is likely a part of it.

As Charlie said on Forever's stream, he feels as though there are two wolves fighting for control over the body. Charlie is one of the wolves, a broken man who feels he does not deserve love. And the other wolf is Gegg, a confident slimy guy who pushes back against the world.

He said that it's like a fight constantly going on in his body, and that recently, he is forgetting more and more of what happens when Gegg is in control, and like he's slipping out of control.

Perhaps it is not Charlie who wants to run, but instead uses the face of Gegg to avoid his past mistakes, but Gegg himself who wants to run. An anarcho-socialist egg, he does not have a limited number of lives and wants to see a world ruled by the people, not by a powerful government.

We can't be sure that their beliefs on the matter completely line up, either. After all, Gegg is running for president, not Charlie.

Along with all this, I think in a way, Gegg was a product of Charlie going through age regression. Some believe agere is a defense mechanism, while others believe it is a way for people to achieve a therapeutic goal.

Commonly, people who use age regression have childhood trauma, something that we know q!Charlie has- he mentioned growing up with an abusive father, one of eight children. His father killed his seven siblings and hurt him, causing him to have to grow up too fast.

Along with this, Charlie also stated that he uses Gegg as a coping mechanism, to have meaning in life because he felt he didn't have one after Juanaflippa's (third) death. Quackity was someone who enabled him, who helped him get the emotional assistance he needed.

Of course, age regression can also be the symptom of multiple mental disorders- this includes PTSD, major depressive disorder, and schizophrenia.

However, this wound up failing and spiraling out of control. Gegg was a therapy tool to deal with his trauma and find meaning, find some happiness. However, he was still neglected by his father figure and hated by those around him, even as an egg- something everyone on the island loves.

They love the other eggs. Why don't they love him?

So Gegg had to grow up too fast as well, which may have caused him to spiral and become something new. He broke apart from Charlie, being something difficult to control, something that fought for power over the body.

However, like Charlie feels like he's blacking out when he turns into Gegg, Gegg may feel the same way. It's possible that Gegg feels like it's his body, his little eggy body, but there's someone else in there. Someone who changes his form, someone who has control.

And Gegg hates it.

As can be seen with his political views and actions, he does not like to be controlled by more powerful forces. He wants to collapse the Federation, to bring it all down and have Quesadilla island be ruled by the people together.

So he probably feels the same way about Charlie. This other wolf in his body, one that's overwhelming him, but he's pushing back. He doesn't know who this wolf is, what this wolf is, but all he knows is he wants to be separate from it.

This leads to another topic - Geggtosis. During the second debate, Gegg handed out Gegg spawn eggs. This may be a way of him trying to free himself- by splitting off these branches of Gegg, it's possible he's hoping to figure out what this more powerful wolf in the body is, and how to overpower it.

This started with Charlie saying 'I can't run for president, but he can."

...Maybe it wasn't Charlie saying that. Maybe Gegg was forcing his voice through, to make himself heard. Maybe Charlie doesn't want to run for president, he doesn't want Gegg to run for president, but Gegg is getting stronger. He's pushing back more and more, making the gaps in Charlie's memory bigger and bigger.

Wow this post spiraled. I really needed to talk about Gegg, huh? But yeah, I hope you like my thoughts about the matter that is Gegg. :]

Sorry i just have to put this somewhere but. Im watching bobby and geggs conversation last night and getting literally so emotionally devastated. These eggs CAN'T die. i CAN'T Take It like. why does bobby have more character and emotional depth than characters ive seen on entire tv shows. Why is bobby the pixel egg going to make me cry violently 😭😭 He's a violent kid but he's still just a kid and he Knows he's going to die!! AUUUUHHHH

i think the moment that rlly punched me in the gut with bobby was when he expressed wanting to kill qslime. it initially seems on brand for a violent kid but then he says hes mad. hes mad because he lost his siblings. hes not a one dimensional character ya know? this a character who is having a valid reaction to a situation that he doesn’t understand. him being able to speak with gegg about it and get that closure from qslime himself being like i had no intention of harming tilin it was all an accident and bobby being able to forgive him and in a way tell slime to forgive himself. stop living in this coping mechanism that is gegg. and to have slime at the end place that sign saying he hopes bobby will make it out of this twisted reality. after we as a watcher know that qslime didn’t have the best impression of bobby and didn’t like him. in those few minutes we see qslime realize bobby is not just a violent kid but a person too. the sign as well really sets in the realization/reminder as a watcher of like oh no theyre going to die.. theyre all going to die and theres nothing we can do but watch. as these eggs who’ve grown to be their own people with complex thoughts and emotions are fated to die. this smp has some intense lore
