if dealing with mental health issues has taught me something is that your body can wait till you’re out of danger to hit you with the psychological consequences of said danger, so i often think about gaunt and how he seemed “fine” after the war, and that maybe when his body deemed he was comfortable, *safe* enough, the effects of all that trauma hit him like a fucking truck
