i swear the hardest part of my writing style (particularly in long stuff) is that i have one too many reoccurring items/motifs. and it's like... now i have to remember a million tiny details and use them again!!! i swear, at this point cmd f is my best friend with how much i use it. i can just search a key term and be like you! i need you! and move on. like even with my notes i still forget things sometimes. i just had to search "raccoon" because for SOME REASON i decided to reference a nameless character and her taxidermy hobby more than once. and like... it's cool!!! it makes the worlds i create feel a lot more real and, i dunno, connected? like if all these characters grew up together they obviously know the same people so they should be referenced more than once. but also! it's so much work LMAO--
#benji writes fanfic#benji writes original fic#world building is fun until it's not LOL#i love adding randos too idc if you shouldn't give character to someone that's never gonna exist again#they deserve to be real no matter what =(#and bc this was brought on by a sdv fic... i love making irrelevant npcs into real characters#welwick my beloved#they're non-binary in this fic#i can and will add queer people to anything and everything#take a shot every time a random oc (technically) appears in my fic (when i post it) and a dab if they're queer
