like at least in Pluralism im doing something i have a proper interest in and she has allowed me to do digital art in my “““““non-contemporary art style”””” because thats not what the class is about. so im doing a topic thats interesting in a medium im experienced in and thus able to twist as needed.
the worst part is that the history class isn’t even explicitly about “contemporary art” as a genre?? its just about “art after 1989″. which is not the same thing. so when she argues that “anime style” (fucking bite me cunt) doesnt count, i would then argue she has no fucking idea what shes talking about. like, my ‘anime’ inspirations are all from the 90s onwards, inuyasha, avatar, pmmm, pokemon. you feel me? she has literally no fucking idea what shes talking about. its fucking garbage.
especially since im not a graphic designer, and thats basically what ive been made to do because i refused to do like. video or performance that involved my body or the bodies or others, because, and i cannot fucking stress this enough, i dont fucking want to. so im given a pass from the medium that could make me throw up, and thrust into a different type of art that isnt my scene. im not a graphic designer! i fucking draw characters and stories! this is fucking trash.
#and b4 anyone comes at me saying i shouldve known. the uni shoulda fucking rejected my application#it was ALL character work bitch! it was all drawn characters! the only ones that weren't were the animations using rigs+shapes#and i wasnt even applying for a degree where animation would fucking come up! the mother fuckers shoulda said#'yea nah you arent doing the type of art we teach here' and i coulda fucking. idk. gone and got a fucking job instead or smth#im just fucking annoyed. i fucking hate this specific teacher and i hate the class she teachers#EXCEPT for the lecturer. dario is fantastic. he's the only thing keeping me going yall
