Varieties of Ads for Your WordPress Blog site
Tumblr media
Pay Per Sale
Anyone register as an affiliate for any program like ClickBank as well as search the products relevant to your web site. The site provides you with link rules, banners, and other tools in promoting their various products. Your career is to post those hyperlinks on your site. Each time a internet user becomes a paid member during your link, you can earn a payment on the sale. The amount may differ. Don't just pick the top paying advertisement. Chose the best product and your conversion pace will be much better. Pay each sale is a one-time settlement to you from the sponsor. wpads.com
Profits Share
Each time you generate a customer, you earn a percentage on the income. For example , many locations will employ a 60%/40% umph share plan which means you receive 60% of the first good discounts, and also credit for each thirty day period that user remains an affiliate. This is a great way to generate in the long run income, especially on sites which you believe are high quality that could update enough to keep the actual surfer interested. This is specially common with some dating vendors who are membership based. Every single revenue sharing program posseses own respective payout rates listed.
Pay Per Click
Some areas offer pay per click traffic when you get paid each time a person keys to press on the ad creative you aren't using. Some places shell out $0. 01-$0. 03 dollars or more. If you can find $0. 03 cents per click or maybe better, then definitely utilize program. This is good for web sites who can disguise ads to take a look like content, so that the end user clicks them without even with the knowledge that it's an advertisement. Often double-check the sponsors terms, incase this form of deceit is not permitted. These works extremely well on any type of site, while banners, in video advertising, or straight up text backlinks. You can really earn a fantastic income with places similar to Google AdSense if you're clever with your ad placement, as Yahoo AdSense tries its far better place relevant ads on your own site. Your job is to keep an audience who will not mind clicking an advert or two.
CPM
This is short for cost per thousand opinions, with the M being the particular Roman numeral for one 1, 000. You place a provided championship on your site and get paid out anywhere from about $1. 50-$3. 00 for every one thousand thoughts you provide. If you operate a high traffic site and also can't figure out how to convert your own personal ads into sponsor product sales, then use the CPM process. Only sites with high number of page views can benefit from this method. Usually site visitors trade sites will plast typer their sites with CPM ads because they put a whole lot crap on their sites how the user is confused plus the site can't convert revenue anyway.
Pay Per Electronic mail (sometimes referred to as CPA rapid cost per lead)
Every time a user submits their email address contact information, you earn anywhere from some cents, to a few bucks. It is more widely used in email marketing. Should you be going to collect email contact information on a website, then you should keep these things for your own promotion instead.
Shell out per time period
I've available tons of ads using this method since I didn't feel like currently being on top of statistics on a daily basis, delivering reports to buyers, and having annoyed with minuscule troubles from other webmasters. So what I have was sell any given promotion spot for a set price tag on a per month basis. My spouse and i gave people discounts whenever they paid for three or more several weeks. One sponsor paid us $20, 000 via verify, up front, for a six month 300×250 banner advertisement.
WordPress site owners, bloggers and content creators are often looking for the best ways to make money with their audience and returning visitors. One of the best ways to accomplish this is through the use of placing ads on your site. WPads.com is a great site for learning more about the best free and premium plugins to start adding paid placement advertisements and banners on your site. The most common ads to start running on your site are Google Adsense and MediaNet. Try both of them today and see which is best for the monetization of your site.

Promotion Designs
As I began to enjoy the work I have created using the Mock up tree website, I thought I could quickly create some other pieces for Self Made. I wanted to ensure we explain our vision clearly as visual imagery really plays an important role in this project, especially when presenting. Its important our slides aren't too text heavy which is why images can aid our brand and what it does despite there not being a lot of text. When discussing each factor as a group, we thought promotion needed some more time as we hadn't thought much about it as we have been so heavily focused on our garment designs. I began to make our website alongside our Instagram which helped us feel confident within this sector. Its important that we get the best out of Instagram and its featured in promoting a business. This is why I have created this Instagram advert that we would use in order to reach our set demographics. This social media algorithm will assist this goal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When thinking and scrolling on Instagram I tried to gain some inspiration for what to create. As advertisements are to frequent on social media now, I looked through my own to see what I could include. I knew that I needed to add as much content in the short given time in order to engage a potential customer which is why I added Julia's illustrations. As this was a image rather than an video, I created a section of the video if we were to advertise our brand. I added the cherries as well as other brand identify elements which I thought would be best.
When saving the work to see what my work looked like within the template, as you can see above, a lot of the work was cut off. This is because I was unable to work in the actual layer meaning I had to create a separate document. I didn't knw the coordinate measurements for the document this is why my work got cropped.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While thinking and researching ways I could fix this, I began to work on some of the smaller elements. This template was rather easy to create in comparison to the packaging designs as there isn't much to change other than the sponsored content itself. The only thing I did was add in our brands profile picture and Instagram name. This name is different to our official account username as I thought it looks more realistic if I used our intended name. When creating our accounts original name, ‘Self Made’ was taken meaning we had to make slight adjustments to our name. This was frustrating as this would be harder for our audience to find us and certainly more time consuming. As I mentioned before, our audience defiantly have a shorter attention spam meaning they don't want to spend too much time typing in random symbols and letters trying to find our business.
After this, I began to fix my previous problem with proportions. In a CAD lecture, we looked at creating the best sized documents for Instagram and how grid layouts play a big part in making sure these proportions are right. I thought that maybe I could use this learnt technique to get the right layout of my ad work. I did this by creating a new grid layout and then trying to transfer the same grid into a separate document so I can make my work fit into this grid. However this wasn't possible or I hadn't learnt the right technique for this meaning I couldn't get the right proportions. In the end, I had to keep moving all the layers around and saving it in order for me to see its results. This was a long winded process however, I eventually got there which you can see below. I also got rid of our logo as it didn't look right in the advert. This would be at the end of the video advert instead.
To conclude, I think this is my least favourite piece of work as I thought it looked quite messy in comparison to the other stuff I have done. The website had actually been covered by the Instagram bar meaning the customer cant see our URL and the only way they could interact is by swiping up off the post. If I was to do this again, I would use the new updated illustrations and maybe try a new design rather than the cherries. I would also add some more engagement text so the viewer could understand what we are selling and why.
Tumblr media
Akvile DeFazio (2021) from www.business2community.com states: “While any form of visual content can perform well, brands typically see more engagement on video ads—about 38% more. As a visual platform, images and videos are powerful in driving more engagement than on other more text-based social platforms.
In terms of CPM (Cost per 1,000 impressions), Instagram costs since January 1, 2021 have been ranging between $2.50-3.50 for better performing campaigns and their respective ad sets.”
This means using vide advertisements will give us the best outcome from advertising online. They don't cost too much and we shouldn't use too much of them incase our work begins to look like junk. This is from my own personal experience as I find the more I see the same advertisement the more I become annoyed and don't want to look at it.

What Everyone Needs to Know About Influencer Marketing [From an Influencer]
New Post has been published on http://healingawerness.com/news/what-everyone-needs-to-know-about-influencer-marketing-from-an-influencer/
What Everyone Needs to Know About Influencer Marketing [From an Influencer]
Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by HSN + QVC for their Next Big Thing Product Search. I have been compensated for this post. Scroll down to learn more.
I recently sat on a panel where I had the opportunity to discuss the importance of influencer marketing. “Influencer Marketing” – it’s a term that’s thrown around a lot these days. So much so that conferences are dedicating entire panels to it. So clearly it’s something worth exploring, right?
The term only began appearing a few years ago and I so wish I knew who came up with it. Most of the articles I’ve seen on influencer marketing are written from the perspective of the marketer or PR agencies. I’m sure they exist out there but I’ve yet to come across an article about influencer marketing written from the perspective of an actual influencer – a name I begrudgingly have embraced as my job title. It’s a little self-indulgent for me but I’m learning to accept it.
Unless you are an influencer or work in PR/Marketing I’ve found that not many people understand what an influencer actually does and what influencer marketing is all about. I’ve also heard it diluted down to someone who promotes stuff on Instagram. If only it were that simple. So I thought I would break down what influencer marketing is all about from the perspective of an influencer. And in true influencer fashion, this post is hashtag SPONSORED by HSN and QVC for their Next Big Thing business opportunity….The 12 year old girl in me who spent hours staring at the TV watching the home shopping network has never been happier.
But first…
WHAT IS AN INFLUENCER?
As much as I hate the term “influencer” it pretty accurately describes what I/we do. In essence, influencers are people or small communities that influence people’s decisions. We’re viewed more as word of mouth or your knowledgable friend giving you a great recommendation rather than a magazine ad or commercial. Whether it’s where to eat in Boise, the best matcha powder or how to save money on your groceries, Influencers share their personal perspectives that in turn influences their audience’s decisions.
How they go about doing this differs from person to person (more on this below) but the premise is pretty simple: human shares life + products/services they use and audience watches and potentially follows suit.
HOW DID I BECOME AN INFLUENCER?
Did I set out to influence people’s decisions? Absolutely not. If you’ve been following The Healthy Maven since it started almost 7 years ago you’d know this. THM began as a place for me to explore health and wellness and connect with a like-minded community. I never in a million years expected millions of you to be reading. And I’d like to believe that most influencers started this way.
Most influencers started with a unique perspective to share and as a result an audience grew around them. This was certainly the case back in 2013 when I started and the term “influencer” didn’t exist. I had no idea I was starting a business, let alone becoming an influencer. I felt passionate about something and took a risk in sharing it. What’s unfolded is simply a result of this passion and a lot of hard work. Like I mentioned above, it is not my favorite term but it seems that more and more people are becoming familiar with it so I’m learning to be okay with it.
WHAT DOES AN INFLUENCER DO?
Like any profession, what an influencer actually does differs from person to person. I like to remind people that there are many types of doctors or lawyers. Likewise, there are many types of influencers. Some focus more on lifestyle and take their followers around with them all day. Others focus more on content creation (recipes, how-tos, DIYs etc…) and you know little about their personal life. Some talk about food. Others share workouts. Some were on the bachelor (lol). There is an influencer for everything and which platform(s) they choose to use can vary.
The Healthy Maven for example tends to be more focused on content creation with a little bit of lifestyle on certain platforms. Blogging is by far my biggest platform, however I also share my work through social media, YouTube and podcasting. Some influencers focus exclusively on Instagram. Some sell products of their own. There is no catch-all for what an influencer does.
I am well-aware of the fact that THM is not rocket science and certainly isn’t saving lives. However, I’d like to believe my content is valuable and useful and/or can provide some entertainment value even if it isn’t the most valuable information. Most of what I share is not sponsored i.e. not paid for by a brand. However, some of my work is sponsored as it pays my bills and allows me to share content that I don’t have to charge for.
WHAT IS INFLUENCER MARKETING?
Influencer marketing is a type of digital marketing. Many people are familiar with advertisements they see on websites and in videos. These are both types of digital marketing. Influencer marketing happens in a couple of different ways but the one most of you have probably come across is sponsored content. Sponsored content is a transactional relationship between a brand and an influencer (blogger, vlogger, instagrammer, podcaster etc…) where the influencer is paid to promote a product. In theory the influencer uses the product and/or loves it but I’ll chat more on that below.
Influencer marketing can also be through non-payment transactions (i.e. free product) or affiliate marketing (i.e. tracking code where the influencer earns commission).
Like any type of traditional marketing or other types of digital marketing, influencer marketing is a part of how companies spread the word on their product and drive sales. This is especially true in the last few years as influencer marketing has proven to be comparable or better to other marketing channels (source).
WHAT FOLLOWERS/READERS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT INFLUENCERS
I am both an influencer and a follower, however being an influencer has given me a unique look at the world of influencer marketing from a consumer’s perspective. Biggest thing I’ve learned: DON’T TRUST EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE INTERNET. Of course, I’m not doing myself or my industry any favors by sharing this but it’s true. I don’t believe that a credential makes someone an expert but likewise, I don’t believe that someone with confidence telling other people how to live their life on the internet makes someone an expert either. I look for two things when it comes to influencers who I follow:
1. How extreme are they in their language?
2. How much self-awareness to they *appear* to have
If someone conclusively believes they have the answers without the research or proof to back it up, I run the other way. You’ll notice that for anything that I share that is not anecdotal, I provide scientific research. If it’s purely anecdotal or not proven by science I will always include a disclaimer that this is my personal experience and to follow with caution.
I also consider my job a responsibility, and one which I do not take lightly. I assess whether promoting something, paid or not is actually in the best interest of my audience. There is plenty I don’t share on here because it would be irresponsible to do so. If they cannot assess their own needs vs. the needs of their audience (and yes they are often one in the same!) I’d be apprehensive to follow.
Other things to note:
a) When we are paid to talk about something we are legally required to disclose this. #Ad and #sponsored are usually the two ways to denote this (#partner or #brandpartner does not count – stop using these!). Laws vary from country to country. For example: in the UK you are legally required to disclose if something was sent to you for free, even if you didn’t get paid to talk about it, however this is not the case in the US.
b) The last point I want to make is all about why influencers get paid. From an influencer perspective, we get paid so that we can continue to do this for a living. If an influencer does their job well, their content is equally as valuable whether its paid for or not. For example, this post is sponsored by HSN + QVC for their Next Big Thing campaign.  HSN + QVC. My job is to bring awareness to this campaign since it could be a huge business opportunity for YOU. If not, I’m still sharing information regarding what it means to be an influencer and how influencer marketing works. I’d be writing this post whether it was sponsored or not. Make sense?
From the reader’s perspective I also can see why sponsored content feels annoying and inauthentic. There will always be people who don’t do their job well and choose sponsored work that is not the right fit and/or do not provide something valuable for their audience, sponsored or not. I am grateful for this opportunity every single day and am deeply aware that YOU have given me this opportunity, however your girl still has rent to pay so I can only hope that my audience can understand and appreciate this and most of the time you do.
WHAT MARKETERS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT INFLUENCERS
I’m not going to lie, this portion of the post is what I wish I could send to every marketer that has pitched me inappropriately, expected me to work for free applesauce and/or thinks I’m a hired actor. Apologies in advance if this sounds a bit aggressive…
1. We are small-medium-sized businesses
At least many of us are businesses. Some people consider their platform more of a hobby, which is totally cool but many of us do this for a living or a side-hustle. Please treat us with the same respect you would any other type of business partnership.
2. We are also people
What makes us different from other business partnerships is that we are people. It’s also the reason influencer marketing is so effective. Our audience sees us as friends and a word of mouth recommendation. We are not actors and have spent many years building trust with our audiences. So yes, please treat us with respect, but keep in mind that we are sharing our lives on the internet and this is an incredibly vulnerable position to be in.
3. We are not desperate for your XYZ product
Well, maybe some of us are but for the most part, you are not doing us a favor by sending us free stuff making it our obligation to talk about it. I work for my audience, not for the marketer or brand so if it doesn’t serve my audience, it doesn’t serve me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m incredibly grateful for the privileges this job has afforded me. That being said, I put A LOT of hard work into The Healthy Maven and it’s incredibly demeaning when you think I should be so lucky to be able to talk about your product or service.
4. Not all of us work the same way
Not all of us are professional. Not all of us consider this a hobby. Not all of us operate with the same standards. Like I mentioned above, consider influencers through the same lens as you would any profession. We exist on a spectrum and work in different ways. It is up to you, as the marketer or brand to find the best fit for your company.
QVC + HSN Next Big Thing!
I do want to finish this post by sharing more about QVC and HSN’s new Next Big Thing search. QVC + HSN (yes that’s the home shopping network!) are asking you guys to submit your businesses in a cross-country wide search for the next great business idea. Whether you’re selling a product (fashion, jewelry, accessory, or beauty brands etc..), run an Etsy shop, have a small ecommerce business, they want to know about. You can submit your idea HERE and they will review all the submissions until July 12th, 2019. From there they will choose finalists to come to one of four submission events in mid-August and finally they’ll select who will be featured on HSN. Here’s a breakdown:
Submit your idea! Between 6/13-7/12 you can submit your idea via a submission form on QVC. You will need submit a video telling about your story and product.
Buyers for QVC & HSN will review the ideas and decide who will move on to the next round!
The final round will be at one of these locations: West Chester, PA, Seattle, WA, New York, NY or St. Petersburg, FL. The finalists will be paired with a mentor to help them prepare and will have a prototype to present.
Again, submit your ideas HERE.
I hope this post can be help for you in understanding influencer marketing – and especially from the perspective of an influencer. At the end of the day, we are just people, trying to figure our own lives out and trying to do well by the audience which most of us never knew we’d have. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity every.single.day, but I’m still human and make mistakes. It’s also a bit nerve-wracking to see where all of this is going to go, however I never could have predicted I’d be here so I’m trying my best to enjoy the ride.
As always, open to your questions/feedback. Feel free to share them below.

What marketers should know about Hulu’s new ‘pause’ ads
New Post has been published on http://www.readersforum.tk/what-marketers-should-know-about-hulus-new-pause-ads/
What marketers should know about Hulu’s new ‘pause’ ads
A few weeks ago, media platform Hulu unveiled a new “non-intrusive, viewer-initiated” ad unit that plays when viewers pause the show they’re watching.
Hulu is currently testing the ad with Coca-Cola and Charmin, and expects to make it generally available for select content by next quarter.
The availability of this type of ad is the clearest sign yet that advertisers are acknowledging the marked rise in streaming video viewing, and a shift in how people consume media.
But is there a place for subtle, static ads in the age of louder and bigger? Hulu certainly thinks so, and so do marketers.
Screenshot of the new ‘pause’ ad in action | Hulu
‘Non-intrusive’
Jeremy Helfand, vice president and head of advertising platforms for Hulu, said that its research showed that “consumers generally preferred ads that were subtle and non-intrusive, and that extensive audio and video when pausing was considered disruptive. These insights led us to take our current approach to pause ads, and the research so far has shown a positive response from viewers.”
“Just as consumers’ viewing habits have evolved, their expectations for advertising have also changed,” Helfand said. “Viewers no longer accept an irrelevant, intrusive ad experience and appreciate when brands tell their stories in authentic and integrated ways. To stand out and continue engaging their target audiences, brands must rise to the challenge and flex their creative muscles to go beyond the traditional commercial break.”
Going with the flow
These types of subtle ads can be a good thing for brands, according to Jackie Pecquex, digital media manager for ad agency KW2, who added that she would try Hulu’s new ads.
“I like pause ads better than mid-roll in terms of not messing with the viewer’s content flow,” Pecquex said. “The industry as a whole is moving toward less-interruptive and more user-assistive ad experiences, and that’s a good thing for growing brand affinity. Thinking back even five years ago, things like desktop, rich-media screen takeovers and pushdowns were a lot more common than they are today.”
Dan Goman, CEO of video supply chain platform OWNZONES, agreed.
“We can say from experience that two success factors stand above others,” Goman said. “Don’t be intrusive or annoying. Sounds simple, but it’s easy to cross that line and users will drop from your platform as soon as it’s crossed. Focus on tailoring the experience to the individual. Make the user feel understood.”
Goman acknowledged that marketers are anxious for the wealth of data that OTT marketing provides, but he warned service providers, content owners and marketers to center the user experience.
“The data is available, the users are hungry for content,” Goman said. “There’s no excuse not to offer them what they’re looking for.”
Fighting ad fatigue
“Publishers aren’t respecting frequency caps they claim are in place,” Pecquex said. “There are a lot of complaints from viewers about the same ads being served back to back, in every ad break, etc. Static ads help by adding another (less intrusive) ad unit for advertisers. People complain less about banner frequency than video.”
“There are a lot of ad frequency complaints with OTT, so introducing static placements is a smart move for building scale and mitigating those frequency concerns,” Pecquex said.
The number of subscription OTT video service viewers was expected to hit 170.1 million in 2018, more than half (51.7 percent) of the U.S. population, according to eMarketer. As connected TV and OTT scale, advertisers will need to look for new ways to acknowledge viewer behavior and find ways to connect.
“I think non-intrusiveness and user-relevance are what people are looking for,” Pecquex said. “They want ads that provide solutions and value. Marketers need to make sure that’s at the core of their advertising.”
But Anne Frisbie, SVP, global brand & programmatic, North America at mobile ad platform InMobi, said we’ll have to wait and see if they catch on.
“It’s always great to see innovations from leaders in the industry,” Frisbie said. “Creation of new ad formats that are aimed at helping to increase the amount of premium video inventory that is available is a good step. With that said, it remains to be seen whether and how buyers will embrace these ads and at what price point.”
