Hello, non-drunk Grizz here (several glasses of red wine in quick succession was certainly a choice lmao). Anyway, I'm so glad that people who don't shave their bush aren't as stigmatized as they used to be and considered dirty or unhygienic. I do wish that we were taught more about what is and isn't normal when you do try to shave, however.

I used to feel very outcast from the other girls because I never shaved, and they'd all tell me how weird I was for not shaving. I thought they were all crazy, because how could they put up with the itching constantly? As it turns out, shaving is one of the triggers for my eczema!

Since no one ever explained what shaving should feel like, I just assumed every woman who did so was walking around with their skin burning and itching constantly. Instead, I was just told that I wasn't doing it right. To even think about shaving I need those expensive "sensitive skin" razors that only last one or two goes, the expensive sensitive skin shaving cream, and then need to apply moisturizer every hour or so afterwards. And the moment the hair starts to grow back the next day? Oh boy, no amount of moisturizer is saving my skin from flaring up bright red in irritation. I'd have to walk around with no underwear or pants, because the slightest bit of rubbing and it's all over.

So yeah, I'm glad that society is heading in the right direction when it comes to women keeping their natural body hair. It's taken a fair amount of unlearning to stop viewing myself as disgusting and dirty for not being able to do something my body just can't handle. Suffice to say, I'm a lot more comfortable letting the bush grow wild as nature intended lmao.

This is where I point again to the early 2000s for putting women's beauty standards in such a weird fucking place. We had full bush in the 80s and part of the 90s and then ultra low rise jeans TOOK IT FROM US.

How could we let fashion companies do this. Think of all the pussies, cold and hairless 😢 angels without wings...

Anyway I think it's good that we are once again progressing past "women with body hair gross" which is such a modern invention anyway.

Women shaving was a marketing ploy by razor companies to sell more razors and society FELL FOR IT. Just like diamond engagement rings and purses. Smh.
