got some writing done for nova au and I love it btw. she talks like a jrpg villain for no reason so from sonics pov he rescued like a twelve year old kid and she immediately started accusing him of seeing her as a helpless child going on weird monologues and repeatedly calling him “hedgehog” instead of his actual name. he just had someone kill themselves in front of him changing the trajectory of his life forever and that was probably a less weird day.

#sonic being fresh off seeing shadow off himself is a big part of why he’s so trusting of a strange little girl in a suspicious kidnapping #like. he doesn’t know shadow's alive and he’s 14 in this fic he's not doing great and so he misses the red flags when they have fun banter #I mean he picks up that she’s weird but he thinks weird sheltered autistic runaway not killer robot #and I mean. he’s not wrong. she’s a neglected runaway who has traits that’d be classified as autistic #though since she doesn’t have a brain let alone human neurology she can’t really be diagnosed with anything #but yeah. sonics not doing great and nova doesn’t care both bc her life is solely dedicated to killing sonic #and also. she Is metal sonic just roleplaying as her organicsona she knows shadows alive so she thinks it’s funny #there is a Lot of reasons everyone felt so betrayed by her and it’s not just that she was trying to kill them all
