all in all im still a hater of the one widespread english translation of kiss of the spider woman (book) but i dont like the movie all that much so i guess ill just tell people to read the book and like . take it with a grain of salt ←just googled this expression idk if its correct. but its a really good book so everyone should read it one way or another

#my main gripe with it (book english translation) is how he character voices get lost especially in word choice #and how a small thing like valentín saying 'my girl' instead of 'my partner' or 'my comrade' changes a lot about him . imo #especially in a book thats entirely dialogue #and also theres a racial slur that wasnt there in spanish -_-#chizitxt #i havent read all of it though so idk if theres more that i dont likw about it #i will get back to it eventually...#augh it also changes a lot of small cultural references like the characters drinking mate to them drinking tea . small stuff that lessens #the books impact to me.#jesus christ i made a million typos in the tags. whatever
