just got home from a night out catching up with my school (girl)friends! hard to believe we're all 30 or nearly there haha, where did the time go-- I was a bit awkward at first as always but also due to old self-loathing over not having been a very present friend... working on that but it didn't take long to feel like nothing had changed, which I'm very glad for!

we did a full gauntlet of puzzle rooms at a place in the city (and had a surprise 5th party member when a young boy needed a group and we just so happened to look very approachable to staff lol), had a lively dinner at a britpub and also a quick jaunt for churros afterwards and it was a lot of fun! I made my birthday-ing friend a bookmark with old photos of the gang so she has a piece of home with her when she goes back to Japan, which she seemed to enjoy, and some goodie bags for everyone with one of every loose chocolate in the store that I spent the past month amassing bit by bit at the end of every closing shift lol to make up for all of the birthdays I missed during the time we had drifted apart. hopefully next year I can catch up with them over there when we go to Japan again as well!
