i should have all consuming negative emotions more often. i just solved such a major plot hole
#having an awful time but i finally figured out the sun vs the stars thing#ophilia starborn existed in the heroic age before the guardians of balance were captured by the citadel#she was chosen freely as a champion of lumira without having to wield the sunstone#it’s more like being blessed by a god than using a magic artifact#but lani is using the stone that lumira was trapped in#if lumira were free she could grant lani the power of the stars but trapped she can only grant her a part of her power#because all the spirits are guardians of multiple domains and their powers resemble them#like lumira is the sun and stars but elementally is fire and light#also this fits so well with how noxyns cuff is damaged and it’s user is more in tune with the shadows#and the whole thing where marion is apologizing to lumira saying she won’t take her back to the citadel#and hopes it’s the first step to repaying injustice#and also sets lani up to eventually break the stones and set the guardians free#and means argor will come out of hiding#i’m so smart sometimes. back to my despair though. i’m still having an awful time
