(This fic is still very early but I am already obsessed with it! Ryan moves into the abandoned Hackett’s Quarry camp, isolating himself and only finding comfort in the only radio show and its host. I love the atmosphere this fic creates and I can’t wait to see the full mysteries of Ryan’s backstory be fully explored.)

The attention to detail to change the dialouge, tech and every little pop culture reference 80s is so good and well researched, And the way Ryan and Dylan’s relationship develops, with more of a secret romance than one sided pining is so good!)

(This is a really cute fic! Abi has a secret admirer and can’t figure out who it is, although her fellow counselors have an idea. Loved the oblivious Abi, flirty Emma dynamic and the reveal was so cute.)

The seven counselors were thrown head first into a situation they absolutely were not prepared for. It's close to the end of the night, half of them have turned and they need to fix this before it's too late.

(This is a really good rewrite of the ending, reuniting all the uninfected counselors, having them face off against all the werewolfs, including their friends, and making the fight against Silas more badass. The action scenes are so good and I much prefer the epilouge here than the actual game. It also has battle couple Laura and Max!)

(Ryan and Dylan go to the scrapyard and Dylan turns. I loved the dynamic between them so much and the hurt/comfort vibes were great!)

“Dylan?” She breathes, hardly believing it herself.

Dylan gets infected and turns into a werewolf. Somehow, that still doesn’t stop him from saving his friends.

(Dylan turns but uses his abilties to protect Kaitlyn and Ryan. It has a great poly couple moment. The scene where Kaitlyn and Ryan are fighting over who gets to kiss Dylan first was so funny and wholesome!)

Remember how Dylan throws himself in front of Kaitlyn if Emma turns in the van? Remember how they literally say nothing about it? Yeah. I fixed that.

"What were you thinking?" She demands, anger and relief and terror colliding to create a boiling chasm in the center of her chest. "You- You- I can't believe you!"

He has the audacity to huff a laugh, seemingly oblivious to her stress only ticking higher. "Didn't know I had a heroic side?"

(An extended version of Dylan throwing himself between Kaitlyn and werewolf Emma. Again, love the hurt/comfort vibes and Kaitlyn and Dylan’s bond is written so well. The resolution we deserved!)

What if, prior to the game events, Dylan and Kaitlyn had a couple of enlightening conversations? After all, we know how much these games like the butterfly effect. What might change? 

(Another poly get together fic, where Kaitlyn and Dylan decide to combine forces to try and seduce Ryan. The dynamic between the three of them is very fun and flirty. All the jokes between Kaitlyn and Dylan were really funny.)

(This fic explores slice of life Laura and Max after the events of the game as they move in together, get engaged and figure out their future. It’s a nice mix of soft domestic moments and them addressing their trauma after what happened. Really cute!)

(This fic covers Dylan and Ryan before, during and after the game. I liked the end half where they reconnect and settle down together years later and all the soft moments that happen. There’s only one E-rated scene and it’s easy to skip if that’s not your thing.)

This was what life was truly about. This was what life should have been. This was what life would be, from now on, with them.

(Ryan, Dylan and Kaitlyn meet up a year after the game and catch up. They try and figure out their relationship. I loved all the dialouge in this, so funny. There’s a bunch of cool character details too.)

Three Days Later…

‘You look nice mummy’ Max said as you were applying your makeup and pinned up your hair.

You were wearing a white blouse with black jeans and black suede boots, which was the outfit that Max had picked out for you.

‘Well, you have really good taste young man’ you said to Max, giving him a kiss as you did.

‘Are you going with Cillian?’ Max asked and you nodded, telling him that Cillian and some other friends were going to dinner and the theatre with you.

‘Did you kiss him yet?’ Max then asked out of the blue, causing you to drop your lipstick into the sink.

‘What makes you ask that?’ you laughed, unsure where he got the idea of kissing from.

‘Well, Aunty Evelyn said that, when two adults like each other a lot, they sometimes kiss each other. That’s why Uncle Cian sometimes kisses her’ he explained, causing you to swallow harshly.

‘Okay’ you chuckled while picking up your lipstick and applying it carefully.  

‘I think Cillian likes you mommy and if you want him to be your boyfriend, I think you need to kiss him’ Max explained, causing you to laugh out loud.

‘Right. I will keep that in mind’ you chuckled before telling him to get ready for his sleep over at uncle Cian’s house.

An hour later, Evelyn picked up Max from your house after she finished work and took him to her house. He was always quite excited to have a sleep over with his cousins.

When Max arrived at your brother’s house, he was quite surprised to see Cillian and greeted him quickly with a hug.

‘Don’t you have a date with mommy?’ he asked, causing both Cillian and Cian to laugh.

‘Not for another hour Max’ Cillian said and, just as he did, Cian corrected Max, explaining to him that it wasn’t just his mum and Cillian going on a date.

‘There are other friends coming too’ Cian pointed out and Max nodded before pulling Cillian aside.

‘What is it?’ Cillian smiled as Max began to whisper into his ear so that his uncle couldn’t hear it.

‘Mommy watched you on TV yesterday. On Netflix. I wasn’t allowed to watch it. I think she wants you to be her boyfriend’ Max whispered, causing Cillian to chuckle.

‘I doubt that Max, but thank you for telling me’ Cillian whispered back, somewhat amused by your son’s attempt to become a little matchmaker.

‘Don’t tell her I told you, okay?’ Max then said and Cillian nodded with a warm smile.

‘Your secret is safe with me’ Cillian whispered back before telling Cian that it was time for him to go home and get changed before dinner.

‘Dinner and then theatre with Laura…well have fun’ Cian chuckled, causing Max’s eyes to widen.

‘And mommy’ Max said quickly, correcting his uncle, which Cillian confirmed.

When you arrived at the restaurant, it didn’t take you long to find Cillian and Laura who had arrived just moments before you did.

Unlike you, Laura went all out with her outfit, wearing a dark dress and black high heels. The dress complimented her figure and you couldn’t help but get a little jealous about her cleavage.

You hoped that, after you had Max, your bust size would have increased but it never did and whilst your hips had gotten fuller, your breasts stayed the same.

It was also obvious to you that she had just had her hair coloured and cut. It looked almost too perfect.

‘Would you like a drink?’ Cillian asked after greeting you with a friendly kiss on the cheek.

‘A glass of wine would be great, thank you’ you said, seeing that Cillian and Laura were having a bottle of red wine.

Cillian was quick to pour a glass for you, not waiting for the waiter to do it, before complimenting your outfit.

‘Thanks’ you responded shyly while watching Laura roll her eyes and, it was at this moment, that Robert arrived and took the seat next to you.

It didn’t take you long to order and, as you were waiting for dinner, you were talking about the play and the book on which it was based.

‘Have you read the book?’ Cillian asked Robert and he, of course, shook his head.

‘I don’t like reading much’ he explained, causing Cillian to raise one of his eyebrows.

‘How do you read your scripts?’ Cillian then asked and Robert simply shrug his shoulders.

‘I force myself to read the ones dad gives me. He reads them first, weeds out the bad ones so that I only have to read the good ones’ Robert explained, leaving Cillian speechless and leaving an awkward silence around the table.

Luckily, just as you ran out of things to talk about, the waitress brought out your meals and, just as she did, Cillian spoke up at the same time you did.

‘Can I get some tabasco please’ you both asked at the same time, causing the waitress to laugh and you couldn’t help but giggle yourself. You didn’t know that Cillian was a fan of spicy food just as much as you were.

‘And jalapenos if you have some’ you then quickly said before she left and Cillian followed on with a quick ‘me too, please’.

‘How can you have a burger without tabasco and jalapenos right? It’s crazy’ Cillian laughed, smiling at you as he did.

‘Absolutely, it’s madness’ you joked, causing Laura to look at you somewhat annoyed again.

The waitress returned with a bottle of tabasco and two side dishes of jalapenos.

‘That is disgusting’ Robert said when he watched you and Cillian drench your chicken burgers in sauce and top it with at least ten jalapenos.

After dinner, you had a few more drinks as the play wasn’t going to start until 8 o’clock and, over drinks, Laura couldn’t help but bring up her kids before asking about your son Max.

‘Isn’t it bad for him to be here for three months, unable to see his father?’ she asked, causing you to swallow harshly.

‘Laura…’ Cillian went on to say, wanting her to change the topic, but she didn’t back off.

‘I am just thinking that he would need both parents and going on a self-discovery trip like this is a little selfish, isn’t it?’ Laura went on to say and you couldn’t help but shake your head in disbelieve.

‘You have a child?’ Robert then asked rather shocked and you nodded.

‘Yes, I have a son. He is five and I am his full-time carer’ you huffed out before taking another sip from your glass of wine.

As soon as you said this, Laura sighed and asked you whether you are keeping your son away from his father on purpose.

‘I know you are young, but you need to know how important it is for children to have both parents around. I have been working with kids for so many years and saw a huge difference in children who are co-parented. You really need to make this work Y/N. You cannot just think about your own wants and needs’ Laura said as if she was your teacher and you were her student, not even taking a breather and allowing you to speak up.

Eventually, she had driven you so far that you stood up, holding back your tears and placing your napkin onto the table.

‘Stop! You don’t know anything about me and I need you to stop! Please!’ you huffed out before excusing yourself.

‘Y/N, hold on’ Cillian said as you walked off.

‘What did I say?’ Laura asked, unsure why you had gotten so upset.

‘Her son’s father died in a car accident three years ago. You just can’t make assertions like this about people you don’t know’ Cillian said to Laura as he stood up. For a second or two, he looked at Robert who wasn’t bothered by this situation in the slightest.

Then he chuckled and walked off, following you towards the lavatories.

Without putting much thought into it, Cillian barged into the women’s bathroom which is where he saw you leaning against the basin, trying to clean up the makeup that had smudged beneath your eyes.

‘Are you alright?’ he asked, running his hands over your arms.

‘Yes, I just still struggle with his death sometimes’ you said, trying to force out a smile which is when Cillian took you into his arms.

‘I am fairly sure that’s normal Y/N’ Cillian said as you pressed your cheek against his shoulder.

He smelled incredible and you didn’t want him to let go of you.

‘You do realise that this is the women’s toilet, right?’ you asked and Cillian chuckled.

‘I know’ he laughed before letting go of you and giving you a warm smile.

‘Do you want me to take you home?’ he then asked, wiping away some of the fresh tears that had left your eyes.

‘You’ve got a date with Laura, you really shouldn’t leave’ you chuckled with your eyes still teary.

‘I much rather watch another movie with you’ Cillian then said and you nodded in agreement.

Yuletide 2020 Letter

Dear potential writer,

I truly hope all is well with you and yours. No matter what state you find yourself in, my wish is that Yuletide boosts your spirits and gives you the extra jolt we all could use to usher in the new year. 

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and thank you in advance if you decide to write anything for me!

Below are my desired fandoms and pairings along with story ideas that I would love to see written. Please don’t feel stifled by my prompts; I’ve also listed my general likes and dislikes at the very bottom of this letter if you decide to go a different route.

Little Women (2019):

Characters: Amy March and Theodore “Laurie” Laurence”

The main reason I adore this adaptation is because it made me see why Amy and Laurie ended up together. They had very similar worldviews and fit so well what the other needed. Both deserved to be with someone that valued them for who they are. With Laurie, Amy was not just financially secure but with someone who encouraged her to express herself creatively, politically, or however she chose. With Amy, while she grounded Laurie in reality and challenged him to be the best version of himself, he didn't have to fundamentally change to make her happy.

Story ideas:

These quotes really show how Amy's perspective on life was different than her sister's: "You are your family's hope." (Aunt March) "I’ve always known I would marry rich." (Amy March) That's a lot of pressure on someone so young. We heard some of Laurie's thoughts, mostly that he didn't think Amy should feel ashamed for wanting that. How would some of that pressure continue even after she got married, and what would Laurie say to make her realize they were in life together as a team and she didn’t have to suffer the weight of the world alone?

The conversation between Amy and Laurie in the painting studio showed just how level-headed and intelligent she was. Laurie, while not wholly agreeing, was respectful and didn't discount her thoughts. It would be interesting to see the impact on their story if Vaughn hadn't arrived, and this had played out more. Would the proposal have happened earlier and/or how would later scenes be altered as a result of further conversation?

What did the other characters think of Amy and Laurie's relationship, and how did it change after seeing them interact more as a couple? It would be interesting to read about Meg, Marmee, John, or some of the other characters realizing they were genuinely a good match for each other.

Post-canon, I'd love to get a glimpse of what kinds of conversations they had. Did Amy encourage Laurie to pursue a career and find what he was passionate about (music perhaps as Laurie mentioned writing an opera)? And similarly, did Laurie encourage Amy to pursue her art? Did they continue to have in-depth conversations about societal pressures and expectations of gender in certain economic classes?

Tenet:

Characters: The Protagonist, Kat, and Neil

Tenet is the first movie I've seen in theaters since Star Wars IX. There have been some mixed reviews, but my love for Christopher Nolan sci-fi films combined with the experience of stepping foot in a theater again made it a wonderful experience for me. Sure, the plot could be confusing at times, but it was fun trying to fit certain puzzle pieces together and oh so thrilling when things just clicked into place in the most satisfying ways.

I adored the dynamic between Neil and the Protagonist. The easy friendship, the banter, the suits... everything. I also loved the relationship between the Protagonist and Kat. It started off as each using the other but transformed into one of genuine care on both sides. Ever the romantic, I definitely saw something more than just friendship between the two and was slightly disappointed the movie didn't explore that aspect more.  

For pairings, I’m interested in friendships between all of the characters. I’d be interested in seeing a romantic relationship between Kat and the Protagonist if you’re up for that, but not between Neil and Kat, nor Neil and the Protagonist. If you really want to give a romantic partner to Neil, I'd be fine with Laura (or an original female character if she’s not the focus of the story), but please, no slash. While I’d be ecstatic to see all three characters together, if you can only find a way to fit in two, that’s wonderful as well!

Story ideas:

Even though Andrei Sator is gone, there are still other players in the game, some like Priya, who want to eliminate Kat or even abduct her with the delusional idea she can continue her husband's work. The Protagonist (and Neil, if you so choose) ensures no harm comes to her, and he realizes that keeping her at a distance may not have been the best idea.

I personally don't buy into the fan theory that Neil is Kat's son Max; however, I do find the idea intriguing and would be up for reading about how that worked. The Protagonist breaks his rule and sees Kat, helping to raise her son Max/Neil and eventually teaching him about inversion.

The Protagonist doesn't have to wait quite as long as he'd thought to see Neil again. It can be the Neil who had already met him and knows about Tenet or the Neil who knows nothing about inversion.

What conversations did Neil and Kat have while the Protagonist was asleep after almost freezing to death? Maybe Neil explained the finer workings of Tenet and inversion more in-depth. Perhaps they discussed the Protagonist. 

Clueless:

Characters: Cher Horowitz and Josh Lucas

This movie set the bar high for teen romantic comedies. How can anyone ever beat 90s Alicia Silverstone and Paul Rudd? Plus, the relationship between their two characters is fantastic. Josh and Cher just bring out the best in each other. Cher shows Josh that he doesn't need to be so serious all of the time and that people are more than their outer appearances. Josh makes Cher want to be a better person, and he believes that she's not just a pretty face. Their banter and playful moments always make me smile.

Story ideas:

Knowing Josh and Cher end up together, this brings a heightened awareness to rewatches. They have so many casual touches and exchanged glances (when did Paul Rudd's eyes get so blue?) that it's hard to miss their natural chemistry. It may take quite some time for Cher's dad to notice anything has changed because they don't act all that different from before. Is there something that makes him finally take notice? How does he react?

Sort of related to the last prompt, there's a moment where Josh decides to go to the dance to keep an eye on Cher and Christian, and you can tell by Mel Horowitz’s smirk he realizes Josh has a crush on Cher. Does he do anything to push it along or play matchmaker just like his daughter?

I've always been curious about whether or not Josh believes Cher's story about being assaulted in the car by Elton and then held at gunpoint. We skip over Josh pulling up to the phone booth and go straight to Cher already being in the car. How did Josh react when she reiterated the story, and does he instantly believe her, or does it take some convincing? I'd like to see if he comforts her and if they both go together to tell Cher's dad what happened.

Cher is obviously very intelligent socially, if not always so much academically. When it comes time to apply for college, what does she major in? And how is Josh a positive influence in Cher's life, encouraging her to be ambitious and not letting negative comments from guidance counselors or teachers dissuade her?

Things I don’t like:

Alternate Universes – For the specific fandoms that I picked, I really like the universes as they are. I’m definitely okay with deviations from canon, but please don’t make Little Women into a supernatural werewolf story or have Tenet take place in a mundane coffee shop setting. (I don’t mind Soulmate AUs or something similar because those can be incorporated into canon with little change to worldbuilding).

Non-Con/Rape/BDSM/Sexual Violence/Graphic Sex – I like my characters to be happy and everything within ships to be 100% consensual, no question about it (mentions of non-con if it occurred in canon is fine). I also prefer plot over porn, especially with one-shots.

OT3s – Two people per romantic relationship, please. Any more than that makes me uncomfortable.

Character Bashing - Unless a character is a bad guy in canon, I don’t want to read hundreds of words about how awful they are, especially if they are one of the characters that I requested. Don’t take it out on the characters. If you hate my pairings, just write gen.

Things I love:

Hurt/Comfort – There is nothing I love more than one character comforting another. The hurt can be physical, psychological, or both.  

Happy Endings – I’m all for the realistic endings… but if they could be plausible AND at least happy-ish, that would be amazing.

Expanded Scenes/Contorting Canon – Feel free to expand scenes and change up the canon to your heart’s content as long as it makes logical sense.

Humor/Banter/Snark – I thrive on this stuff.

Bonding/Building Relationships – Whether it be a friendship or a romantic relationship, I adore reading about two people growing closer together. When characters know each other so well that they can have conversations with just their eyes or anticipate the person’s next move (especially if it’s to the surprise/confusion of everyone around them), my shipper heart is thrilled.

Dark to Light – Seeing a character come out of a bad mindset or situation and get better is so satisfying.

Some headcanons for F.T.W.W.W.:

After he learns what Billy’s been through, Rex makes sure Billy’s safe. He hates the fact that Billy doesn’t have anyone he can turn to and so Rex always tries to make time for Billy, even though they live on almost opposite sides of the world. Rex gets up early or stays up late so he can teleport over to California from Japan to make sure Billy’s okay and if Billy’s not, Rex is there for him and tries to make Billy feel better.

Rex knows he’s no substitute for the family Billy needs and Rex wants Billy to just stay in Japan with him and the Taylors but Billy won’t do it because he still needs to protect Max and Rex hates it. He hates that Billy won’t take care of himself, even though Billy’s doing it for Max. Rex doesn’t stand in the way, though, and just does his best to patch Billy up afterward.

And when Rex has to return to the future with his biological parents, he tells Billy and Max everything and understandably Billy’s pissed. Billy knows he can be angry around Rex because Rex is cool-headed and knows what he’s going through, but Billy gets so mad this time that he just full-on punches Rex. And after he realizes what he’s done, he runs away. But Rex doesn’t blame him for this, doesn’t think Billy’s like his father (no matter how much Billy believes otherwise, especially in the wake of this event), and so Rex tracks him down. He drags Billy back and comforts him and loves on him, trying to get Billy to understand that it’s not your fault and I don’t blame you. It takes a while for the message to get through.

And when Rex has to leave, he insists on Billy promising to contact his Max and Zoe and that he can always call on them if he needs them because they are there for Billy, just as they are for Rex. Billy doesn’t wanna promise, thinks it’s bullshit, but Rex makes him promise anyway and Billy’s fully planning on going along with the promise. Until Rex’s sudden return, that is.

While Billy and Max don’t go with the rest of the gang when they search for the Space Pirates, Billy is stressed out by the fact that Rex was in danger and so he gets into way more fights with his father, more than usual, and Max is mad at him and understands where he’s coming from but it’s frustrating, seeing him like this, and so she convinces him to spend some time with Reese to get away from their family and get his emotions back under control. And while he’s staying with Reese, Billy gets to know more about Rex’s side from her, Rod, and Laura and they learn more about him in turn.

And maybe Billy also gets to meet Dr. Owen and Owen can tell that Billy likes Rex? And with his own failed ventures into love, maybe Dr. Owen tries to help Billy like Rex because he can see how much his adopted son cares about Billy and can tell that Rex definitely likes Billy back. So while Rex is time-hopping, Owen is playing matchmaker with Billy, his not-quite boyfriend.
