you know. i have seen a lot of posts that say something to the effect of “adult friendships are going to be different” which i get because aging tumblr population etc. but it rly comes across as “if you didn’t have a certain kind of friendship (i have a specific idea in mind but i will not specify because We All Know what i mean [editor’s note: i don’t because your experiences are not universal]) before you hit your 20s, you’ve lost your chance because all of your friends are getting married and having kids and have less time for you” and like. idk does that really need to be said

#the assumption there is that you will also have less time for them but uhhhhhhhhhhhh failed step one #it’s also just. a little discouraging lol #i’ve rly struggled to make and maintain friendships my whole life. you’re telling me it’s only going to get HARDER #and also idk. i have always felt pretty emotionally one sided. like i haven’t rly felt like i feel Heard yknow #never gonna have a Best Friend who idk i can hang out at their house uninvited and goes to cvs at 3 am for snacks #i am very acutely aware that my friends all have more important people in their lives #and i. don’t really. lately i’ve felt a little desperate for human interaction and idk. just sucks.#your 20s are incredibly lonely etc #but honestly it’s. not really anything new?? again does this need to be said #delete later
