obviously i have complex feelings abt waldorf education but also im a little skeptical of critiques that center around "occult" beliefs and practices it does feel quite satanicpanic to meeeee

#ugh i dont know....#i guess i wish we could have real conversations abt alternative education systems #like i am interested in a world where public institutions have the levels of care and holistic individualized attention #that every kid deserves #but often the only routes to access those are expensive and/or culty alt education systems #txt #like the waldorf system has real problems!!!! but when im reading criticism that centers on steiner's personal esotericism #and also calls folktales/fairytales like occult indoctrination #i just... i guess im tired of that #like you want to talk mysticism talk mysticism #i think that a meaningful understanding of play theory is a prereq to this conversation
