LISTE N. I JUST HAD A CONVERSATION IN DISCORD ABOUT JULIEN STAYING WITH SOMEONE FROM SEASON 1 FOR A BIT BUT I HAVE SOMETHING EVEN SADDER. So Julien (since he had a language barrier with likely everyone) probably stayed off to himself in the corner of the competition most of the time. When Airy starts talking, counts down, and then there's a shadow in the sky? What if one of them yelled for him to look.

Everyone started running away, it looks too big, it looks like an avalanche, and they yell for him and push him a bit. And it turns out those two get out of the way, just a bit - they're pinned from the waist down. Of course they still die, and Airy is apologizing only to one person who understands, but they die slowly, pinned down next to each other, holding hands as they go.

Julien watches this person next to him beckon to something out in the distance he can't see, and he knows there's nothing there, and he's scared because he sees nothing there but there's something there, obviously. Is something wrong with him?

He can't keep them forever, but maybe they give him something to remember them with. They point at their house - look, it's this green one, you can come see me when you want, okay? And they smile and run off and Julien is clutching a license photo in his hand and after everything he can't remember their name, but he remembers their kindness.

And he hopes they made it home.

AUG..... AUGHHHH......... CRIES AND SOBS. WEEPING AND LAYING DOWN ON THE GROUND. GONNA CRY FOREVER AND EVER

MAN.... the idea of him having something to remmeber them by.... maybe just maybe. once julien gets home? hes able to use the license to find out who they were. maybe go to their family, and give them some sort of closure. its been ten years, they may have recovered somewhat, but getting some confirmation instead of just a vague idea that theyre gone, and proof (because why else would julien have their license?), that SOMEONE had seen them in their final moments. that they would have SOMETHING that their loved one had on them when they disappeared, some sort of record of them before they were gone entirely

(julien wouldnt be able to tell them about the waiting room. itd make it seem like it was an elaborate joke, adding something so otherworldly to the end of something that probably STILL hurt. but i think it would help julien himself to at least know that they were happy, before they left. they were certainly scared when they died, but they werent scared in the end)
