brOTP —Asuma sensei!!! i feel like she's a little sister to him, kinda. He just attracts people who are awful drinking buddies, and she's no exception. She likes to get him in trouble, push his buttons, and be a huge pain in the ass, but she's also an absolute riot and every once and a while she'll genuinely admit that her life is much better with him in it.

idk LIKE. i just want her to have some stable and comfortable relationships, and Asuma seems like he's got good boundaries and such an extraordinarily chill vibe that I think he'd be a really good friend for her.

OTP — eeeh??? i don't know. Therapy, I think that would be beneficial to her.

nOTP —...Yamato...I know the Yamato I write doesn't apply a label to himself, but I def see him as gay. Also, I think that Anko could be a LOT. for him, and she would get really frustrated with his tendencies toward caution + preparedness in all things. Like, loosen up a little, dude! Christ. Not everything needs a five step plan. I know this is (as far as Anko goes anyway) popular ship based off their shared Orochimaru trauma, but I feel like they'd have a stronger basis for a relationship (and this case I mean friendship) based on Anko liking sweet and fried foods (which Yamato dislikes), and Yamato being neutral to positive on spicy foods (which Anko dislikes).

Going to dinner, ordering a full meal, putting on each others plates what they themselves will not eat, and filling each other in on the latest Jōnin gossip (because, deep down, I think we all know that Yamato is a bit of a busybody, and Anko is transparently a troublemaker and a drama enjoyer, not even deep down at all).

random headcanon —She's not a fan of bitter flavors either! Most teas are a little bit bitter, so she tolerates it well, and certainly more than she tolerates spicy foods, but she's not a fan. Mostly, she likes tea ceremonies for the ceremony of it. Also, the sweets balance out the bitterness well, so that's fine.

unpopular opinion —i think that she, specifically she and sasuke should have teamed up to kill orochimaru for good, and that orochimaru should have stayed dead afterwards. thanks for coming to my ted talk.
