"Fine, I knew you wouldn't anyway...now go! I wanna sleep!" I exclaim as he chuckles and ruffles my hair before leaving.

After spending my day scrolling through social media, watching dramas and eating, I feel asleep for 3 hours and didn't realize I had a visitor until I woke up at 4 p.m. to see someone's hand on my forehead. I pushed the hand away as I tried and struggled to get up, I let out a huff when all of a sudden I could feel my body being pushed upwards.

"What are you doing here?!" I exclaimed at the sight of Jeno sitting by my bed.

"Shut up will you?! I just came to 'check' on you." he said making me huff as I tried to lay back down only to be pulled up by him again.

"Well, you checked on me. Now you can go." I said as he scoffed and flicked my forehead.

"I'm....I'm sorry okay?! If you're offended then I apologize." He mumbled making me quirk my brow up in surprise.

"You're...apologizing?" I asked as Jeno flicked my forehead again.

"I'm not repeating my words." he warned as I rubbed my forehead.

"You're insufferable." I said as he huffed.

"By the way...we're going on a camping trip. Just our class." He muttered as I tilted my head.

"A field trip?" I asked as he shook his head.

"A leisure trip. I already gave your name. Don't you dare cancel it!" he warned as I hit him.

"You didn't even care to ask me?" I questioned as Jeno gripped my jaw and pushed my cheeks together tightly making me wince.

"Ahh-led goh-" I winced in pain.

"Like you said, we have a job to do so fucking adjust." he said and got up.

"Where are you going?" I asked as he scoffed and threw his bag over his shoulder.

"Where else? Home." Jeno said before walking towards the door as I watched his figure walk away from the bed.

"Oh-" I said as he cut my words.

"I expect to see you at school tomorrow." he said in a surprisingly calm tone and left without any other word.

"Why is he suddenly so sweet?" I mumble and look at the door before wrapping myself in my blanket to sleep.

[ 5:34pm ] with the summer air whisking in from the open window and fluttering the curtains with a heated wind, it starts to become tiresome to feel warm breath fanning down your neck every time the boy next to you exhales. and much to your dismay, his attention is too wrapped up in the film playing in front of him to worry about- or even notice- the uncomfortable temperature of his cuddles. you wiggle a bit in an attempt to take at least some of your personal space back, but when the arms around your waist only squeeze you back in, you know it was all in vain.

jaemin shifts when the credits finally begin to scroll, and a hot, heavy sigh rushes into your hair, his mind now solely on you and the feeling of your body against his; his warm lips dance against the skin of your neck and leave ticklish open mouthed kisses in their wake. the humidity seems to bother him none. you have to let out a whine. “jaem, it’s hot.”

“yeah you are,” he hums, snuggling further into you, sucking a spot into the skin under your jaw. the smirk you feel on his lips lets you know he’s annoying you on purpose. you grumble, prying your boyfriends body away from your overheating one. he finally pulls away, reluctantly.

“you’re so clingy sometimes,” you huff, fanning yourself with your hand.

jaemin sits up straight, shock prominent in his sparkling brown eyes as he looks at you. “me? i’m the clingy one?” he gawks. you roll your eyes at him. he watches as you reach for your drink on the bedside table, swirling the ice around.

“don’t act surprised, jaem, you’re the clingiest boy on earth,” the exaggerated scoff that jaemin let’s out paired with the grumpy cross of his arms makes you giggle into your straw.

“i’m sorry, i seem to remember how someone wouldn’t go to bed last night unless i was there to use as a body pillow,” the boy retorts. “oh wait, actually,” he brings his hand up to his chin in fake thought, and pauses for a moment. “no, yeah that’s every night.”

you narrow your eyes. “is that really the game you wanna play? jeno and renjun don’t even let us sit together when we go out because you never let go of me.”

“they’re just sad and jealous,” he waves the statement away like nothing. “let’s not forget that you called me like a hundred times last week when hyuck needed help house sitting.”

“the cat missed you!”

“please, the cat barely even knows i live here!”

jaemin shrieks as you lunge toward him, pushing him backwards onto the bed and trapping him beneath you.

“our cat loves you and you know it.”

jaemin’s eyes are wide for a moment as he adjusts to what just happened. he feels his wrists pinned beneath your hands and your thighs holding his hips in place. his hair hangs in his face, and he shakes his head to whip it away and see the smug look on your own face hovering above him.

“what now, huh?” you provoke.

jaemin grins up at you. “aren’t you just the cutest.”

“don’t patronize me.”

but when you feel the muscles in his arms move under your fingers and see the smirk that’s making it’s way onto his pink lips-

“don’t you dare.”

the mischievous glint in his eyes-

“na jaemin. don’t do it.”

in an instant he’s on his feet, and he’s got you in the air, draped over his shoulder with his arms wrapped tightly around your legs that dangle in front of him. you yelp, clutching the fabric of his t-shirt in your fists.

“jaemin! put me do-”

before you finish he’s already spinning, and the colors and shapes in the bedroom bleed together in a dizzy blur. you whine loudly as the force makes your mind whirl, and you squeeze your eyes shut, tucking your head between his shoulder blades.

thankfully, he has enough courtesy to stop before you become too dazed, but his words still seem jumbled when he speaks again.

“who’s clingy now?” he mocks your tone from before, referring to your form firmly hanging onto the snarky boy. you only grumble. you wiggle your legs in his grasp to be let down.

he chuckles, grabbing your waist and bowing his body forward to let you fall backwards onto the bed, only you forget to let him free from your fists, and he falls with you, catching himself by planting his hands on either side of you before he knocks the wind out of you.

“geez, i know i’m handsome but you can’t even let go?” he quips. you squint at him and his stupid cheesy grin that’s still spinning in your dizzy eyes. “how about a kiss to make it better?” he asks sweetly, leaning down toward you, pursing his lips and making sloppy kissy noises.

“oh, you’d like that, wouldn’t you?” you push his face away, and he flops down on the mattress next to you. “you can’t go an hour without a kiss.”

jaemin gasps. “can too! i bet i can make it the whole night!”

you scoff. “please, i bet i can make you kiss me right now.”

“yeah? try me.”

jaemin crosses his arms, but the second that he sees your lips up in a little pout, your eyes shimmering- how did you make them do that so quickly? god, he made a mistake.

“nana,” you coo, reaching out for his hand to play with his fingers. his heart swells.

“noooo that’s not fair!!” he moans. with one word you already know you’ve won.

“what’s not fair?” you tilt your head. in his brain jaemin knows what’s happening, but his heart explodes. he tries to get up and leave, but you pull him back down on top of you again, trapping him against you with your arms around his neck. he gulps.

“nana, kiss me?” he bites his tongue. but when he feels your fingers dance up the back of his neck to pull at his hair, a small ‘please’ escaping your pouty lips, he completely folds.

jaemin dips down to capture your lips in his, soft and sweet. you smile against him triumphantly, tugging him closer and deepening your winning kiss.

when you pull away, you find a pout of his own on his lips, his cheeks a deep red. you smile at him, pressing a small kiss to his nose.

“i hate you,” he says, but his lovestruck eyes betray his words.

Waking up with a bad headache never felt good but you quickly sat up. Shocked by how cold the concrete floor felt. Last night was weird…all you could remember was hanging out with Renjun. Watching him make you dinner and dancing around the kitchen. Everything was fine until he gave you a glass of wine. Once you finished it your head started to spin and your vision started to get blurry. While you tried to ask what was happening, Renjun shushed you.

“it’s okay baby, soon everything will be perfect! Happy little family like we talked about” his hands came up to hold your head before brushing your hair with his fingers. “just go to sleep”

Hurriedly you tried to stand up but felt a chain around your neck hold you back. A soft laughter made your body go completely still. “you’re so cute!”

“Where am I?” you asked dreading the answer

“you’re with me” You finally saw the face to the voice you came to love so much. He didn’t look like Renjun anymore. Yes he physically looked like himself but there was something different in his eyes.

Tears filled your eyes. Not knowing if you were crying because of everything happening or because you will get to see Jaemin again.
