its always a little amusing to me that Viltau has surprisingly strong anti-casteist views thanks to his hatred of 'typical' highblood attitudes, while still being a stereotypical highblood in other regards. like yeah he thinks lowbloods are unfairly mistreated and dismissed purely for their caste, but that's not gonna stop him from killing them (or any caste, he doesn't discriminate) and still tends to have higher opinions on lowbloods who are useful to him than ones that aren't
