Made a pair of sagas for a weekly card design contest, the theme was a Universes Beyond saga, like godzilla and lord of the rings and stuff
Also they both ended up being 5-drop blue cards about world changing/destroying events that both get prevented in their games
#asks#custom cards#whoops forgot to set the rarity of Van Replicates Auldrant#and didn't capitalize treasure#also i decided the treasures should enter untapped but i forgot to change it#also whoops The Planet's Paralysis has the class reminder text how did that even happen?#also i just checked and you're supposed to spell out the number of tokens so it's supposed to be “five” treasure tokens not “5”#this is why i didn't submit them immediately lol#anyway The Planet's Paralysis is from pmd explorers#and Van Replicates Auldrant is from Tales of the Abyss#because i'm a tryhard and i couldn't exactly remember the plot of TotA i tried to look up cutscenes to make sure i was remembering it right#specifically the “replicas destroy their originals” part#found one cutscene where replicated LAND destroyed the original land with hyperresonance#but nothing about replicated people#obviously replicated people don't ALWAYS destroy their originals because duh but it might be possible? maybe? i don't remember?#eventually i just gave up#it's a jrpg so there's a LOT of cutscenes to pick through#the idea is still conveyed: replicate the world and destroy the original one#you don't actually get to copy and destroy lands because. no. ew.#imagine fighting a mono-color deck and just blowing up their entire mana base on turn 7#it's been a while since i've played either game because i misremembered the number of time gears in pmd:eos#i thought there were 6#i do very much like The Planet's Paralysis though#i think it communicates time stopping pretty well#logically it shouldn't freeze creatures but oh well#and then once you gather the 5 time gears it all gets fixed#is it a fun card to play with? probably not#also it freezes artifacts because otherwise it would be really strong in a deck with lots of mana artifacts#it's supposed to slow its user down too as a cost for getting 5 treasures so you don't get to ignore that#now i wanna try making sagas for my pmd fanfics
