thinking back on it i feel so bad for any of my middle school english teachers because i was 100% insufferable to have
#icarus speaks#i was SUCH an overachiever but only when it came to english#bc i Loved reading and writing#like. would get in trouble for reading in class levels of stuff#in 6th grade we had to read like. i think 100 pages? it wasn’t a lot#and log them + vocab words over winter break#i think. iirc. i read either 5k or 10k#and logged EVERY vocab word i found#then in seventh grade we had a month-long essay/research doc#where we had to pick a book. read it throughout the month. and then write about it#i finished the entire thing the Day after it was assigned#and THEN in 8th grade we had to write i think a minimum of 3k words#of a creative writing piece where you expanded upon an epilogue of the giver#i wrote. 10k words.#these r just my Biggest infringements but by god 😭#very surprised none of my teachers snapped and just killed me#it would’ve been. extremely justified
