I wasn't expecting it, but "The Case of the Prudent Prosecutor" turned out to be one of my favorite episodes so far. Burger has to recuse himself, and his entire office, from trying a case because the defendant is a friend of his. He asks Perry to defend him, Perry obviously agrees, and Perry gets him off.

Burger and Perry have some great moments, Burger clearly enjoys watching Perry try a case when he isn't the one on the receiving end of his "shenanigans", and Burger turns out to be a really good, kind friend. It was just a delightful episode.
