Aluminum formwork system
The aluminum formwork system is a construction system for molding the concrete structure of a building. It is also a system for programming and controlling the work of other construction trades, such as steel reinforcement, concrete placement, and mechanical and electrical conduits.
The system is fast, simple, adaptable and very profitable. It is unique because it forms all the concrete in a building, including walls, slabs, columns, beams, stairs, windows, balconies, and various decorative elements, in accordance exactly with the design of the architects. The dimensional accuracy of the concrete work also results in a consistent fit of doors and windows. The smooth finish of the concrete eliminates the need for expensive plaster.
The aluminum formwork system provides aluminum formwork for RCC or RCC multi-story load bearing buildings and allows the walls and slabs to be poured in the same operation. This increases efficiency and also produces an extraordinarily strong structure with an excellent concrete finish. Due to the fine tolerance achieved in the mechanized metal formwork components, consistent concrete shapes and finishes are obtained floor after floor. This allows electrical and plumbing fixtures to be prefabricated with the secure knowledge that there will be an exact fit when assembling them.

FORMS OF ALUMINUM MIVAN:
Mivan is an aluminum formwork that is also known as MIVAN Shuttering. This type of formwork is developed for the first time by a European construction company. In 1990, Mivan Company Ltd. of Malaysia began manufacturing these formwork systems. Today, more than 30,000 m2 of Mivan Co. Ltd. formwork are used throughout the world. The MIVAN formwork has proven to be economical and satisfactory for the general construction environment.
Mivan technology is mainly suitable for building a large number of houses in a short period of time, using room-size shapes to build walls and slabs in a continuous pour on concrete.
Aluminum formwork is very profitable for repetitive building designs and for works on the base. This system is very unique, since all the components of a building, including slabs, beams, walls, columns, stairs, balconies and special bells for windows are made of concrete and there is no need for block or brickwork.
Parts of the MIVAN formwork: -
It consists of four components: beam components, roof components, and wall components, all made of high strength aluminum alloy. The modular nature of the Mivan aluminum formwork system allows easy assembly and disassembly of the formwork. The construction can proceed quickly with very little deviation in the dimensional tolerances. This system is quite flexible and can be easily adapted for any variation in design.
MIVAN formwork construction procedure:
The MIVAN formwork construction procedure is similar to the traditional type of formwork. The following processes are involved in the MIVAN construction:
1. Steel reinforcement wall configuration:
In this step, the reinforcing steel of the wall is used to form the structure of the building. This reinforcing steel supports the concrete until it reaches 50% of the designed resistance. This steel mesh is prefabricated in the factory and can easily be erected at the construction site.
2. Formwork placement:
As mentioned, the MIVAN formwork is ready to use, the formwork is designed and manufactured in the factory according to the required sizes of slabs, columns, beams, stairs and other structural elements of the buildings. For the formwork of the system of pins and wedges is easily mounted on site. The formwork can be easily removed from the structure once the work is done.
3. Pour the concrete:
Once the formwork is placed, the fresh concrete is poured into the formwork to form the shape. Once the concrete gains strength, the formwork of the structure is dismantled.
Simplicity: a system of pins and wedges in aluminum formwork MIVAN:
The beams are held in place by a simple pin and wedge system that passes through the holes in the outer rib of each panel. The panels are adjusted in a precise, simple and safe way and do not require clamps.

ADTO Formwork Technology Efficiently Helps Construct High-Quality Buildings
Formwork technology is constantly evolving to keep pace with the fast-changing demands of the construction sector. ADTO Formwork is the latest formwork trend in the international construction field.
Aluminium is used as the shuttering material in this technique which helps keep the costs low. Many prominent shuttering manufacturers are using aluminium for their products to cater to the rising application of construction works in the building industry. Many of these manufacturers also provide aluminium formwork on rent to enable builders to save on long term investment costs. There are several benefits of using ADTO Formwork in your construction work.
1. Speed and Efficiency
ADTO Formwork was designed to speed up the pace of construction work. By using pin and wedge joining methods, we can assemble the aluminium formwork quickly. Also, by setting up a supporting steel mesh before building the formwork, the casting process is sped up. All this enables the concrete to set in fast.
2. High Quality of Construction
By setting up an initial steel framework before the cast, the final building is much sturdier and more durable. This kind of high quality is not achievable with conventional techniques. When the formwork is installed around the steel mesh, and the concrete finally settles in the casts, the resulting steel-reinforced structure has immense earth resistance and strength.
3. Aesthetics
By providing an initial steel mesh and supporting slabs of aluminium alloy around the formwork casts, the concrete settles in a much smoother and even way. The finishing on the final walls is smooth and flat. You would not find any undulating surfaces on the walls if you use the MIVAN technique. When these walls are coated with beautiful paints, the final result is aesthetically pleasing and attractive.
4. Low Labour Costs
As the ADTO Formwork involves no bricklaying, you can make valuable savings on costs by not having to hire so many masons and assisting workers.
5. Less Maintenance
The quality of buildings constructed with ADTO is very good. They are not easily damaged and you do not need to spend a fortune on regular maintenance or repair work.
6. Reusable
Aluminium formwork is durable and can be reused multiple times with ease. You save money and the environment, both by reusing it.
No matter how good the technology, there are always some downsides to it. Some of the potential weak points of using the ADTO Formwork are:
1. Initial High Cost
The initial setup cost is higher in this method. But this is balanced out by the subsequent reductions in labour and time and also by the higher quality of the finished product.
2. Suitable for Regular Shapes
ADTO Formwork works best for geometrical and regular forms. It is not that good when used for custom shapes and structures.
3. Skilled Workforce
Aluminium formwork usage requires a skilled workforce. Although, this is again balanced out by the reduced number of workers that you would need to hire.
4. Initial Time to Setup is Long
It takes a long time to construct the supporting steel framework and the surrounding aluminium-alloy slabs. The following steps are though much quicker than in traditional methods.
You should definitely check out the ADTO with aluminium formwork for your next construction project. It saves time and costs while building better end products, letting you enjoy the best of both worlds!
