will say murder drones rules on terms of aesthetics and concepts and animation and character design but when it comes to writing its. well i think it has issues similar to hazbin hotel where they have a lot of ideas for character exploration *and* overarching plot that seem to conflict with each other's space almost solely because of the nature of its production (that is, it's made on an episode by episode basis with the expectation that there might not be funding for the next one in the case of MD)

#labz.txt #i look at HH as a case study of the pitfalls of the indie animation to streaming platform commission scenario #and MD (and to a lesser extent TADC) is a case study on how YT free-watch platforms rely primarily on merch sales to fund the next episode #and become essentially toy/merch commercials in the process #raise your hand if youve ever seen 900 plushie promos be pushed out for an analog horror project in between episodes #i do think that MD has improved in the last 2 episodes but man it had a really rough start #if i were in the shoes of th glitch producers id think about selling a patreon type subscription for early access content and bonus feature #also like you can totally have both a plot and a character exploration episode but its really fucking hard to do so #especially if ur plot seems more like a contrivance the characters are pushed towards rather than something they seem 2 actually care about
