"okay, you ready? we have to take a video for the instagram story." you asked towards the brunette in front of you who took a sip from his nestle water bottle. he swallowed the liquid, twisting the lid close and walking towards you so you could both get in the picture frame of your phone.

today, you were attending a live audience question and answer session, for a fundraiser, and to promote your new movie set to release in the next two months. co-starring in the movie with british actor, tom holland was an absolute dream. not only was he amazing to work with, caring, funny, and all-around a great guy, he wasn't so hard on the eyes either. it was inevitable for you to catch feelings, and you had even asked yourself, who wouldn't? he was charming, clever, and had a quick wit to him that made you weak in the knees.

over the six months it took for you, tom, and the crew to film the movie, you got the chance to travel to tourist attractions like paris, greece, italy, and more destinations that were every person's dream to visit, and were a once in a lifetime opportunity. whether it was visiting countries where love seemed to be the only thing in the air, or the fact that you were filming a new romance movie. the whole idea of love, and falling in love was the only thing on your mind, and that you were falling in love with tom holland. that same dork who spoiled avengers: infinity war, and endgame. but just like elvis presley said himself, you just couldn't help falling in love with him.

little did you know, tom had fallen for you the first time he laid eyes on you. the way your smile lit up the entire room, the way you genuinely laughed at everyone's jokes, the way you got along with his best friend, harrison, and brother, harry. to him, it was like he had met his soulmate, and to be fair, he might just have done that.

during the time of filming, you had formed an amazing bond that was unforgettable. you were quick to connect and get along with each other, in a friendly way, but the chemistry between you two was on another level. maybe it was because the feel of the movie made you two have to accentuate the feelings of love, or maybe it was the dopamine that was released in your body when you two looked into each other’s eyes, that made you feel euphoric and giddy. whatever it was, it was able to make everything seem so real and authentic in the movie. 

for the fundraiser event that you were joining, a group of selected fans were picked and welcomed to the event that would be able to ask their questions that they had for tom and you, while all proceeds went to an amazing cause. you had previously gotten out of hair and makeup with your hairstylist and makeup artist, kelsey and julia, before making your way backstage to meet with the organizers of the event and tom. the organizers briefly told you and tom a rundown of the day and what would happen.

you held the phone up at an angle, well enough to fit both tom and you in the frame, and after preparing, and making yourselves look good, you started recording the video.

“hey, guys! it’s y/f/n y/l/n, and i’m joined here today with the only tom holland!” you greeted the camera, giving a small wave and bright smile.

“we’re backstage today at the event, about to head out for the live q-and-a!” tom explained.

as he spoke, you turned your head to watch him, before looking back at the camera to continue your speech.

“we’re so excited for the event, and for our new movie that we can’t wait for you to see! we’re looking forward to answering your questions, and we hope to see you soon.” you smiled.

“bye!” tom waved, as you blew a kiss to the camera, then stopping the recording. you bring the phone down from where it was, watching over your small clip with tom leaning in next to you to watch as well. as you watched the video and felt tom close beside you, you couldn’t help but get a whiff of his musky, but sweet-scented cologne.

you handed the phone back to the communications executive for the event, and then we’re escorted closer to the stage as the time soon approached for when you were supposed to go on. your heels clicked against the hard, concrete floor as you walked down the hallway, trailing slightly behind tom.

"you nervous?" he asked as he turned back to you to look at you, smiling. he slowed down his pace, just enough so that you were now walking shoulder to shoulder.

"eh," you shrugged your shoulders, "nothing we haven't done before."

"no, i know. just 'cause it's our first movie not related to marvel, or anything..." tom trailed off looking down. you knew exactly what he was trying to get across and to be fair, it was something that you were nervous about, just as much- or maybe even more than tom.

"you mean because of the questions we might get." you said, putting the pieces together like a puzzle as you slightly tilt your head down while still looking at tom. he inhaled sharply, nodding at your response, before looking over at you and giving you a small smile. "hey, it'll be fine." you said as you reached over to place a hand on tom's shoulder and leaned against his side. "and so what, if the fans ask us more... provocative questions? it's kinda inevitable- we were in a romance movie." you laughed. tom let out an airy laugh with you, closing his eyes and rubbing his hands together- a nervous habit he always did that you had picked up on.

"i'm just nervous- y'know? i'm worried about the questions they're gonna ask- especially towards you 'cause you know how it is."

"i get you, tom. it's stressful. but, we can't control how other people act and choose to act towards situations like these that we're in." you replied, rubbing up and down his exposed bicep that seemingly made his t-shirt look exceptionally small and unproportioned to his body. it sent chills spiking down his spine just to feel your hand on his arm. it was the slightest action, but had the biggest reaction inside tom. "and, hey- who knows? maybe you'll be asked 'what was it like to film a sex scene with the y/f/n y/l/n?'" you laughed as you pretended to impersonate someone who would fantasize over something like that. tom just shook his head at your joke.

before you knew it, you were being introduced and escorted onto the stage, tom walking in front of you and up onto the stage. the fans cheer, while tom waves to the crowd and blows kisses from his hands. then, you hear the host introduce you, and that's your queue to walk up the metal stairs and onto the stage. the fans cheer louder and you shine a smile and wave to all the excited fans. you walk over to where the host and tom were situated, sitting down in the chair to the right of tom.

the event seemingly passed by quicker than you would have anticipated. you were asked questions about the movie, your personal life, and the occasional question about other movies you had been in.

"alright, next question," the host says, looking into the crowd with all of their signs up in the air, with numbers on them. "for, number one hundred-twenty-two!" he calls out, you hear a few screams and move your gaze over to the two girls sitting together, jumping up and down.

"oh my god, um- okay, my question is for y/n," the first girl said, trying to relax while internally freaking out that she got picked. "wow, uh- okay, first off, i love you. and um- what was it like filming a romance movie with tom? since he seems to fool around a lot." she asked through a laugh. you smile and look over at tom to see a fake, hurt expression on his face. you bring the microphone that was given to you, up to your mouth, and laugh while gathering your thoughts.

you let out a chuckle, "well, okay. i love you too, and hmm," you take a second to think, "you're right about tom fooling around on set, i think that was the one thing that kept us from filming most of the time," you laugh. "but my favourite thing about filming this movie with him, would probably be the energy he brought to work, and when we were filming, he would get into his character enough so that it felt like you were actually in the movie." you said, looking out at the crowd. "um, obviously, i'm in the movie, but i was just playing a role. with tom, it felt like i was actually in the plot and storyline, so- yeah." you smile.

"wow, now 'ya got me all flustered." tom said from beside you, and you both let out a laugh.

"now for your friend?" the host asked the first girl's friend beside her.

the second girl takes the microphone from her friend that was given to them by a crew member, and takes a breath before getting to her question, “uh- hi.” she nervously chuckles, “since you guys were in a romance movie, and from what we know- there were a lot of intimate scenes, i was wondering if it was hard not to fall in love with each other, and have you ever fallen in love before.” she asked. her question got a few gasps and cheers from the audience and you raise your eyebrows in shock at such a bold question.

you and tom both nervously chuckle, looking at each other, "y/n, do you want to go first?" tom asks, and you playfully scoff.

"oh sure, put me on the spot." you laugh. "well tom's an amazing person and i'm not going to lie, performing intimate scenes and getting to know each other on a deeper level for this project, definitely made it hard to not, fall in love, but i think it generally made me more aware of things related to that." you nod, glancing over to tom who was watching you intently. you didn't want to blow it, and spill your guts in front of a large audience, not wanting to be too vulnerable and wanting to keep things like your love life private from the world, "and have i ever been in love? to keep it simple, yes. but, it was a while ago and i wouldn't necessarily call it love. it was more of a ... blinded love. and i've had my heart broken- plenty of times to be more conscious of the decisions i make. so currently, am i in love? i want to think so? but, i'm not too sure." you nod your head, finalizing up your speech.

"tom?" the host asks, bringing your attention over to the man next to you.

"well, getting straight to the point, am i in love? yes." he said as he shifted in his seat, looking directly at you. as he said that, something about the look in his eyes was speaking louder than his words. putting the puzzle pieces together, you swallow thickly, realizing tom was in love with you.

you walked off the stage, following behind tom before he pulled you to the side, away from the rest of the crew from the fundraiser.

"look, i-i know what you're thinking, i blew it in front of all of them and completely exposed us, well- me. but-" he started rambling off, making you roll your eyes. "-guess not everything goes as planned. y/n, i'm in love with you. and i know from what you said on stage, you're vulnerable and scared, and your heart is fragile- but i want you to know that this," he motioned between you and him with his hand, "this, is something i'm willing to fight for. even if i have to wait until you're ready." he said with pleading eyes, looking at you. you were flabbergasted, you had no idea this was to come out of him. your palms were sweaty, heart racing. "y/n please say something." tom said, grabbing your hands with his own.

you inhale nervously, looking down at your hands that were intertwined with tom's, "for what it's worth. i'm willing to try." you weakly smile at him, looking up to meet his gaze.

tom let out a breath of relief through a chuckle, engulfing you in a tight hug before pulling away and placing a loving kiss on your forehead.
