It sucks because this skirt that I’ve had for almost a year has had the top ruffle come off twice and obviously it’s a crappy garment but I’m not exactly gonna believe that me giving it away to Plato’s closet and such stores isn’t gonna end up with it, in the best case scenario, being bought and worn for 4 months, then someone else, who will just throw it away, dealing with the tear. And I’m definitely not donating this to a shelter or other such place because the people who need clothes don’t need clothes that are gonna fall apart way too soon.

#this is definitely not my most worn skirt #considering it was white #and now greyed from not seperating my whites because that’s dumb #but it’s not worth saving for special occasions #and I’m very against the fearmongering around fast fashion quality #which is mostly made up bs by self righteous people #but I get joy out of wearing my skirts #and I want them to last #and I am the most reliable person to spend the 5 minutes mending the rips every couple of months
