One day I’m gonna finally draw the scene from my one piece hockey au that’s been plaguing me for months…One day…
#it started from a joke with my friend but now I have a whole thing#it’s not fully done yet but I’ve got a portion of it figured out#this au will be centred around basically the paramount war but like. hockey. the focal point being ace’s death#WHICH in this au is just a horrible career ending injury (still from akainu ofc)#luffy still gets injured as well. Is out for a while and when he comes back or like around that time he gets traded#OR requests a trade to the strawhats (I’m thinking the Raftel Strawhats but idk if that name is good??)#and then it’s like his journey to the Stanley cup from there#I have whole like backstories for everyone and like some characters like garp or whitebeard will be retired players#who are still involved somehow. like whitebeard is a coach for ace and luffy’s team (they’re on the same team during/pre paramount war)#and I’ll get garp involved with the navy team somehow too. maybe as a trainer or something#‘cause I still want that relationship between him coby and helemenpo (whose visor will be tinted btw. in place of his blindfold)#roger ofc is still dead but he dies of his illness. like I can’t fit an execution into a hockey au if I want some realism#I have how sabo comes back and how he ties into dragon and everything and I also have a reason why dragon leaves garp#like it’s a whole thing#brook is a retired player whose now the DJ for the strawhats’ arena btw. and laboon is his son#his captain is still dead from disease (also was a player. like still his captian) laboon has a similar or same disease#and that’s how the doctor ties into it as well (he’s also still the one who treated roger)#brook and his captain had something btw. like laboon is their child. it’s very tragic still#keeping as much of the tragic backstory part of the characters as I can#I still have so much like in my head. I’ve gotta get to actually writing it all down fully and mapping out the league#rabbit rambles#one piece hockey au
