QUEER SLUR HERITAGE POSTS
Hi! You can call me Fairy (any pronouns). This is a blog for queers, fags, dykes, trannies, fairies, fruits, and everybody else under the rainbow. You are welcome here. (Unless you're a fuckin TERF in which case get the fuck away from us.)
The blog runs on a queue, but feel free to submit things! We do tag by word for the sake of finding things more easily, but if you want your post removed please reach out to us and be respectful.
🇵🇸 Click here for a list of verified fundraisers for Palestinians trying to escape the genocide- please donate if you can!

How do I submit a post?
Thanks for helping out! You can either DM it or send the link via asks.
Why is [this] not a heritage post? usually the reasoning is either that it doesn't have enough notes (minimum is 10k), or that the only "slur" used is queer. We have chosen not to mark posts using queer as heritage posts unless they are explicitly discussing its use as a slur, and taking pride in that.
Why don't you consider queer a slur (for this blog)? Language evolves- the word queer has reached a point where it is used commercially and academically, and is often just used interchangeably with LGBT. For this reason, it is no longer a slur in the same sense as "faggot" or the like. Personally we still regard it as a slur specifically because its history as one and its former meanings hold importance to our identity.
Why you you switch between using I and We? This blog is run by a system, and we have the tendency to use these first-person pronouns interchangeably. We'd rather not get farther into it on this blog.
I'm [insert queer identity] can I call myself a fag/dyke?
yes.
But I'm nervous because [identity related nuance or specifics].
Still yes.
Can I call myself a tranny?
Look, you can call yourself whatever you want if you feel it fits you. I don't actually care that much nor do I have the authority to grant you a faggot pass or whatever. You can do whatever you want forever and you need no one's permission. I love you be free
