Can you, like, get real problems? I’m sure there’s a soup kitchen or a that needs an extra volunteer or a city council meeting you could go to.
Yeah. I do those things already and isn't it weird I still find extra time to tell assholes to get out of my fandom space.
So what public service have you done this week @rudyknight? In the last month? year? Hey, tell me real quick @rudyknight whens the last time you joined a counter protest?
Because my town has our own version of westburo baptist church and they LOVE protesting our pride events.
I had a bunch of fun.
Tumblr media
I used my hyperfixation of plants to block out their signs and ensure they didn't have room to protest on the sidewalk.
I got to practice my metal growling.
The preacher who had spent the entire night telling everyone we was all gonna burn for eternity in a lake of fire for just bein' ourselves Did Not appreciated me telling him I enjoyed fucking his mother.
But hey maybe your too shy to tell assholes to fuck off to their face.
I mean you didn't seem to have that issue here so I don't know what the fuck is holding you up in the real world, but hey, maybe this'll be a push to get you to stop white knighting assholes on the internet.
But hey there's a lot of other things you can do to help your community that ain't active protesting!
Whens the last time you went through your neighborhood and helped remove invasive species? I'm sure you've done that over the past few weeks, Right @rudyknight?
I've been slowly removing invasive honeysuckle and using it's bones to make yard structures.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've personally saved at least 5 adult trees in the neighborhood from an invasive plant called winter creeper that will slowly choke a mature tree to death if left unattended. It's already claimed a 100 year old maple a block away from me.
Tumblr media
Or you know as a little treat, for me, I've been completely redoing the closet that my hot water heater use to live in before it fucking exploded.
The water damage was... extensive.
Tumblr media
I fell through the fucking floor when I first started
Tumblr media
It's coming together baby.
Oh but man don't worry I still have So Much Time Left in a day to tell useless assfucks posting hate to my fandom to
Fuck Right The Fuck Off.
But you go on @rudyknight. You keep right on defending a useless prick who got caught being a useless prick from getting told they're being a useless prick.
I'm sure that useless prick appreciates it.
God fucking knows you ain't doing shit to be actually helpful.

You have the exact same narcissistic personality as my step parent. I’m disappointed in you honestly, I’ve been following you for some time and I’ve always enjoyed your posts…but this seems to far. The person apologized and admitted they were wrong, you’re not helping anyone by continuing this cycle of unneeded hatred. I know you’re a nice person but please, couldn’t you have correctly them they same way you’ve corrected me and others in the past that weren’t fully aware of the lore?
Goodbye Bel and followers, I enjoyed my time here but I don’t wish to be part of a community that directs such hatred towards people who don’t deserve it.
I couldn't have corrected them directly because they have me blocked. I wrote a post about their post to inform my followers and people in the tag in general because this specific topic has been a recurring problem in the Destiny fandom for well over a year now and I wanted people to get correct information. My post about them was not in any way hateful. Nor was it directed at that person, nor have they seen it, presumably, because they only thanked one person who explained the issue "politely" well after I did it already.
I say "politely" because I've done my post as politely as possible, despite the OP being continuously vitriolic towards anyone who attempted to correct them until they received what they viewed as "polite." And I'm not into tone policing.
I'm also tired of people posting the most outrageous crap knowing that they lack the necessary information. OP admitted to not having the patience or the time to read all lore books. Why are they then making a statement about a complicated lore relationship that has been constantly misinterpreted by the fandom? Literally the original post should've been "Hey can someone fill me in on the details about o14" and OP would've received 20 replies with people quoting lore books from memory about their blorbos.
Also thanks for starting the post with an insult and then saying we shouldn't insult people! Top notch. Also goodbye? I'm not directing any hatred, believe it or not, other people can act independently and have their own reasons to be annoyed at OP, but okay. Goodbye then.
I got another related anon which I'll reply to here before the read more section:
Tumblr media
You can see the drama, if we're gonna call it that, here in this post, including previous drama. I won't police whose content you're following and if you enjoy Ceo's content, I won't really tell you to stop or to leave. That's a choice for you to make. But definitely check things for inaccuracies, even if it's just fanon, because fanon can heavily influence how people think of and engage with the media. Most fanon is harmless, but sometimes it's not and this whole thing with o14 is an example of fanon that can lead to people being actively homophobic and racist (not necessarily Ceo, talking just in general because it has happened before).
For full timeline of events:
Original post (I didn't look for it, it appeared in the tag. I don't have people blocked because I'm the only bitch in this space willing to engage with people posting blatant lies so I bear the burden of seeing all of the shit takes).
The first comment on the post is from a friend of mine, which is how I know it was the first comment:
Tumblr media
This comment explains the lore as succintly as possible in the space of a reply. I guess it says the argument is dumb so that's too rude? OP's reply:
Tumblr media
Dismissing the correction because my friend said the argument used in the post is dumb. Not looking into the lore, not asking for proof for the correction, random praising of one's "relationship skills" and dismissing everything as "an opinion."
My friend decided to take back the "dumb" thing and posted:
Tumblr media
OP:
Tumblr media
Still nothing. It's just an opinion.
Two of my other friends also caught up with the post and commented:
Tumblr media
At that point I made my post and then a few other people also commented on OPs post about how they are wrong. At this point OP has still not asked anyone for clarification and hasn't gone to check things by themselves. They also made another post in which they tried to absolve themselves of being wrong by saying we just don't understand what it means to criticise media which is a fairly rude assumption to make about 10 people telling you you're wrong. When another friend commented on that post, the reply was extremely childish and dismissive:
Tumblr media
This friend of mine was blocked after this so he couldn't have made a reply or offer any substantial corrections. I guess OP unblocked my friend later to reblog his art. It's quite rude to block someone telling you about being wrong and then reblog their art as if you don't care about the artist's opinions or them being a human being, you're just here for the art. It's just a really weird vibe that other artist friends I have confirmed about being a pattern.
This reply was also mocked by an anon and OP which is fairly shitty as these three words were not the focus of the reply. The point was that if you don't know, then find out before you post. If you don't think lore is easily accessible, you can ask someone directly.
It's not until someone else took the time to reblog the post and correct them by posting pretty much exactly the same thing I did (with the exception about being wrong when it comes to Savathun controlling Osiris' body) that they decided to acknowledge corrections.
You're right, my entire blog is about helping people understand lore, but some people don't want to understand and are quick to be rude, dismissive and aggressive when corrected even once. Not the first nor the last time here. OP reblogging this post is especially funny because it's made by a friend who also initially commented on the original post and was dismissed. My friend also had a visceral reaction to the tags because the only reason my friend had to post this is because of OP. So that's basically 15 people trying to reach OP through different means and attempts to correct them until they finally budged after being spoonfed the lore directly .
Strange for someone who has this in their bio:
Tumblr media
Speaking of, this comes from another discourse where my friend politely asked if OP could tag NSFW content as "NSFW" because it's showing up in the main tag unfiltered. OP insulted my friend and refused to do so until I made this post and I guess the issue started making rounds so they finally buckled and said they'll use the standard tags. I consider this discourse done and over with, but I still absolutely detest OP's willingness to die on the hill of them not being anyone's "babysitter" and not being responsible for making sure minors aren't stumbling on untagged NSFW. OP has also reblogged a hateful and aggressive post full of misinformation about me from almost a year ago which was, I suppose, sent to them because there's no way to find it unless you look for it specifically. In this reblog they also continued to claim it's not anyone's job to protect minors so I am very put off by OP, to say the least.
This isn't helped by the anons they're getting where OP is bonding with random anons whose idea of a good time is insulting me and reporting to OP about my posts which is extremely funny considering they're bonding over how *I* apparently have a fanclub. Pot, kettle? I assure you, I do not.
Tumblr media
Actually, I can read, unlike OP who admitted to not reading lore but having enough confidence to post about it. At least when I post things, I check my information. I also don't post about shit I know nothing about.
OP has always been rude and dismissive first and while yes, I have the patience to reply to people nicely, my patience is also not infinite. I am also obviously not going to chase after people who don't want to be corrected. I made a separate post detailing why the OP was wrong and left it at that. I received an anon who was equally frustrated with OP so I replied. It's apparently a quite widespread sentiment. I'm sure people feel the same about me too, btw, which is understandable.
And while OP has since decided to change their mind and learn after half the fandom was dismissed at first and we had to drag the corpse of this lore discourse to their doorstep, I've not yet seen any indication that they will apologise for the "Titans are dumb" take.
I also tend to get hate anons for "posting drama" so let's be clear: I made this blog in order to try and clear out the cesspool that was Destiny tumblr. I lurked in the tag for a year and I finally buckled when I could no longer stand the absolute shit takes going unchallenged and rampant homophobia and racism and other bigotry being completely unchecked. My first post here is replying to someone being homophobic about o14 being official. This blog exists because the straw that broke the camel's back was virulent homophobia against o14. So while my wider "brand" is posting lore essays, my original brand was and will remain to be tapping into fandom discourse and drama. So whoever is not into that, I will not be offended if you leave. I also tag these posts as "discourse" so they can be filtered out and if anyone wants me to tag them with additional tags, feel free to let me know.

Hello everyone. Today (August 2nd 2020) I noticed a blog who earlier tried to accuse me of being a terf has once again made another post about this. This time she accused me of some other things and since her post suddenly started gaining attention, I decided to clear some things up and reply to every single claim she makes in her post.
I’m genuinely tired of all of this.... So, there’s a insanely popular atla TERF (@what-would-azula-do) blogger that’s been attacking me and my friends, and she worked with a group of TERFs to ban my og spop blog. I literally just made this blog but I’m tired of getting attacked by TERFs, so I’m making a call out post (ew ikr) to end this.
I am not a terf. I did not work with a group of terfs to ban your blog, you did this to yourself by tagging your post with “terfs please interact”, “terfs do touch” and other tags. You’re attacking a minor with false claims that are easily debunked. I have not been attacking you or your friends, I don’t even know who your friends are. I specifically added the “please do not send op any hate” tag when I called you out so my followers wouldn’t harass you.
Tumblr media
First off, what-would-azula-do is a pretty obvious crypto TERF. She reblogs and creates a ton of TERFy posts that might flow off the radar of cis people, but directly harms trans people. She constantly reblogs and makes exclusionary feminist posts that exclude trans women, and use TERF rhetoric, and she doesn’t have any trans or non-binary mutuals. She also just posts full on TERF shit a lot, and whenever she gets called out she gets defensive and deletes the evidence. I got this info from an anonymous trans woman that pmed me, but she also used to just be a full on out TERF in 2016, and posted transphobic slurs and memes regularly, and also was a SWERF. Allegedly she deleted the blog and remade with her new main and the what-would-azula-do sideblog. Again this is just an alleged anon tip but I believe it. She also ships a pretty TERFy atla ship (tyzula) that à ton of TERFs on tumblr ship. Now I’m going to go to a huge pile of shit already, ONE OF HER MUTUALS IS LITERALLY AN OPEN TERF.
You say I reblog and create a ton of terfy posts. Which ones? I only talk about atla on this blog and actually make an effort to tag anything else as “off topic”. I don’t think I even made a post about feminism on my blog. You also say I don’t have any trans or nonbinary mutuals, do you have any proof of that? You contradict this claim further in your post (“Has trans mutuals even though she’s a TERF”). You say I post “terf shit” a lot, could you provide screenshots of that please? And according to you, “whenever” I get called out I delete the evidence. I got one anon once when I accidentally reblogged something from a terf I wasn’t aware I was following. I personally wouldn’t call my reply to this anon “defensive”. You say you got info from an anonymous trans woman that I used to be a full on terf in 2016 and that I posted transphobic slurs and memes regularly. In 2016 I was 13-14 years old and I didn’t even have a tumblr blog. I don’t even know how to address the tyzula thing. How is a ship “terfy”? And just because I reblog art, doesn’t mean I actually ship it? I reblog art of several ships just because I like the art.
Unholy-lesbian is one of what-would-azula-do’s TERF mutuals (she has about three crypto TERF mutuals too) that’s just a full on TERF. She was really into the TERF sphere a month ago but went crypto when she became mutuals with what-would-azula-do (probs to protect her crypto TERF identity) she said she’s not a TERF anymore, but she still reblogs TERF rhetoric and all her mutuals are TERFs. She also put TERF in quotation marks which means she probs thinks it’s a slur, which is TERF rhetoric. She’s also a gold star lesbian which means she excludes trans women from her dating pool. I’d go into this bitch more, but this callout ain’t for her.
Could you please give me the usernames of my three cryptoterf mutuals? Look I’m not going to deny that unholy-lesbian was a terf a while ago. She told me this yesterday or two days ago when I talked to her about your post. She also told me she was done being a terf because the community was so hateful all the time. She’s 15 years old, don’t pull her into this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m friends with her so she can find a welcoming and nice community in the atla fandom. She’s on the right path now, do you seriously want to go hate on her for this?
This is a lighting round of all the shit she did, and also her track of aphobia and ableism, so here we go:
I literally have autism and adhd myself.
Used the t slur on her old blog (alleged)
No I haven’t? Could you provide proof of this please?
Has trans mutuals even though she’s a TERF
You contradict this earlier in this post, once again without any evidence.
Misgendered an artist on what-would-azula-do and didn’t apologize
Who? I use “they” whenever I don’t know the gender of an artist. I wasn’t aware this ever happened and I’d like to apologize to said artist of this claim is true
Liked an aphobic meme
Which meme? Also my likes aren’t even visible.
Mutuals with an aphobe that bullied an ace kid off tumblr
Who?
Uses her queer followers as props to denounce her being a TERF
This is ridiculous. My followers know I’m not a terf so of course some of them are going to defend me and support me.
Gaslight her former nb mutual
Who?
Reblogged from a TERF with TERF in her username
Yes and I addressed this already. Someone sent an anon about this, I deleted the post, unfollowed the user I wasn’t even aware of following in the first place, and thanked the anon for telling me about this.
Said the r slur on her main
No I didn’t? Do you have a screenshot of or a link to this post? Also I literally have autism, as I have mentioned earlier on this blog.
Slandered a queer artist on what-would-azula-do
Who?
WORKED WITH TERFS TO DEPLATFORM ME (A NB LESBIAN OF COLOR)
I reported your post once because you were accusing me of untrue things and harassing me, a minor, and you were threatening to murder my followers. I didn’t work with terfs at all, they came to your post after you tagged it with “terfs please interact”
Tumblr media
And what does your sexuality and gender even have to do with this?
Even if she wasn’t a TERF (which she is lol) she worked with TERFs to ban my blog that exposed her, which is violently lesbophpbic and nbphobic.
Your blog was banned because you were harassing a minor and throwing around false accusations, not because you are a lesbian or nonbinary. I did not work with terfs to ban your blog, as I have mentioned twice earlier.
So y’all really shouldn’t follow or support her anymore, unless you’re a TERF just like her. (Dm me for screenshots, I didn’t want to post them here since she’d just gaslight me)
Please post all of the screenshots you have in a reply to this post.
Also, could you stop harassing my followers. This is just incredibly gross behavior.

A Matter of Jurisdiction
A lovely anon asked if I had anything to add regarding one of my recent tags, the gist of which was “In DMC, do you realize how much trouble Governor Swann’s letter would have caused (for the EITC) if it made it to England? Because Beckett did and he was not taking any chances.”
Because I am terrible at being succinct and because I love talking about this, I’m going to expand more generally on what I said in my tags on the post in question and approach some other questions about Lord Beckett’s authority later posed by the op of the original post. [Links to the relevant posts can be found in the replies, as Tumblr hates links.]
I will, fairly, preface this by saying that skimming Beckett’s PotC fandom Wiki does answer all of the questions regarding the EITC’s actions, and, to put the TL;DR at the beginning, that answer is often just “Lord Beckett had royal authority (and enough money) to do whatever he wanted.”
Nonetheless, if you’re curious how I’d nerd out over analyze the situation, please read on!
[A further note: I am not a historian, nor am I an expert on the alternate universe in which PotC is set. If I am, at any point, wrong, please let me know.]
While the main focus of the original PotC trilogy is the conflict between pirates (representing freedom) and the British Crown (representing, among other things, constraint, control, and exploitation), there exists within the British “side” a kind of internal conflict and this is what we see at play between Cutler Beckett and Weatherby Swann.
If you understand Beckett to be a merchant of sorts and the East India Trading Company to be just what it says on the tin -- a trading company -- then it might seem entirely out of order that Beckett invades Port Royal, crashes the governor’s daughter’s wedding, and disrespects (indeed, arrests) Swann the way he does. However, so far as legality goes, Beckett doesn’t cross as many lines as one would think (or, perhaps, the lines are not quite so clear). This is because Lord Beckett has the same royal authority that Governor Swann does and because the EITC is no mere trading company.
The EITC is a deeply politically invested entity. The Company operates with a royal charter, which means that it was granted certain rights by the monarchy. Specifically, the EITC has extensive military and administrative capabilities built into it. (I’ve even seen it referred to as part trade organization, part nation state.) When operating in the Indian Ocean and other areas outside of the jurisdiction of the British Crown, as it was originally intended to, the Company acts as an arm of British imperial power. This becomes a problem when the EITC attempts to exert said power where British Crown authority is already established, such as in the British Caribbean.
Swann is, of course, the king’s governor of Port Royal; his authority derives directly from the Crown as well. In fact, Weatherby Swann is said to be close friends with the king. However, the fact that Swann has personal ties to the aristocracy and Beckett does not doesn’t make their powers as unequal as one might think. The structures that each is part of are just about parallel.
The situation is not: Crown → Aristocracy → Merchants
But rather: Crown → Aristocracy & → EITC
While Beckett has been granted the title of lord by DMC, there is still a difference between those born into such a status and those who were not. (It’s sort of a big deal, especially for Beckett. His family had been wealthy merchants, but none of them had ever held a title.)
Because the two men have fairly equal standing in terms of pure authority, their being at odds become a tricky matter of jurisdiction. In other words, who has the right to exercise his power where? This question vexes both Swann and Beckett, and they’re both keenly aware of it from the moment they come face to face. Neither can claim absolute authority outright, but both have unique cards they can play to shift the situation in their favor.
A few scenes in DMC highlight the chess game that Swann and Beckett are playing, though I’m afraid it was never a game that Beckett intended to play fairly.
In the opening of DMC, the EITC invades Port Royal as Beckett arrives to arrest Elizabeth Swann, William Turner, and James Norrington. Some key things to understand here:
The invasion is not solely to make the arrests, but rather to establish Port Royal as the EITC’s new base. Beckett clearly has that intention (and royal approval for it) before showing up. That said, was invading the place entirely necessary? No, but it is a shock tactic.
Some of the first things said to Lord Beckett are, by Governor Swann, “Lord or not, you have no reason and no authority to arrest this man.” and, by Elizabeth, “We are under the jurisdiction of the king’s governor of Port Royal and you will tell us what we are charged with.” The Swanns are obviously under the impression that Beckett is out of line, but he isn’t.
Regarding the arrests themselves, all of the warrants are legally valid. Elizabeth, Turner, and Norrington did, as the warrants say, conspire “to set free a man convicted of crimes against the Crown and Empire and condemned to death.” Beckett’s decision to use the prisoners rather than simply execute them is, on the other hand, entirely his own abuse of power.
Another important scene, of course, is when Governor Swann attempts to save Elizabeth by having her sent to England.
Swann’s lines in this scene very clearly show his particular type of power: that based on personal, aristocratic ties. For example, “Our name still has some standing with the king.” Even the captain he makes arrangements with is “a friend” -- the only kind of person Swann can trust given Beckett’s new authority in Port Royal.
When Swann tells Elizabeth, “Perhaps I can ensure a fair trial for Will.” we especially see where his power ends. His authority in Port Royal, and regarding those who are not his family, is now weak. His best hope there is to enforce existing standards (i.e. a fair trial).
The entire premise of Swann’s decision here is that he knows that he can’t contest the warrants. However, there is a possibility that he can leverage his ties with the aristocracy to get his daughter off the hook. That personal power is only certain to work in England, out of the reach of Lord Beckett’s power in the Caribbean. Swann is very smart to use his personal ties this way though anyone would have to admit that it’s not exactly legal.
A line that was cut from the film reinforces all of the above (which is likely why it was cut): “There are still men loyal to me here, and Beckett is still wary of my ties to the Crown.” Swann, due to his position as governor and personal connections with the British aristocracy, has power that -- while not necessarily a threat -- could conceivably challenge Beckett’s actions. Lord Beckett knows this, but there isn’t anything he can do about it at this point in the film.
Now, considering that (earlier) Swann openly discusses helping Elizabeth escape in front of one of the EITC soldiers when he visits her in prison, it’s no surprise that Beckett suspects something is amiss and sends Mercer to investigate.
The scene in which Mercer kills Swann’s hired captain and arrests the governor is, perhaps, the most high-stakes political moment in DMC. Mercer not only catches Swann breaking the law, but he intercepts Swann’s letter to the king. When confronted, Swann knows that his gamble has gone horribly wrong.
Swann is arrested on the same grounds that his daughter was, conspiring to free a convicted criminal, which effectively strips him of his authority and, worse, puts him at Beckett’s mercy. More than that, his letter to the king is Beckett’s first real proof that Swann is a threat on a larger playing field. Before intercepting the letter, Beckett only had suspicions to go off of, and any move against someone you’re not sure is an enemy could create an enemy. With the escape attempt and the letter, Beckett has both legal and personal grounds to arrest the governor and, later, blackmail him.
While we never discover the exact contents of the letter, it’s likely that Swann wrote more than a plea for his daughter’s pardon. Elizabeth is his main concern, but it would be unlike Swann -- a man with an admirable moral center -- to not mention the way he feels about the EITC and Beckett’s conduct in Port Royal. If such a letter did reach the king, there is no way that the king could ignore it outright. There would be repercussions of some kind, and a royal inquiry into the EITC’s dealings at the very least. It’s important to remember that, while the Crown pays little attention to the EITC so long as it’s making money, the Crown very much can tell the EITC what to do if it sees fit -- which is the last thing Beckett wants. That said, I’m not certain if Swann’s letter would have meaningfully shut down the EITC in the Caribbean, and it almost certainly wouldn’t have gotten Beckett arrested. In any case, Beckett avoids the whole problem by ensuring that Swann’s concerns -- whatever they are -- never reach ears that are able to do anything.
In the following scene, in which Elizabeth steals the letters of marque, it’s interesting to note that Beckett’s line about how “loyalty is no longer the currency of the realm” is both ironic and bold. The only reason it’s even remotely true is because Beckett makes it true. He is more than aware of the power that loyalty can have, and he goes out of his way to keep that power from being a threat. Loyalty is still very much a currency of the realm, but it isn’t of much use if there are no transactions being made (i.e. Swann’s letter never reaches the king).
A final scene in DMC that is worthy of note is that in which Lord Beckett blackmails Governor Swann.
The scene opens with Beckett saying, “There’s something to knowing the exact shape of the world and one’s place in it, don’t you agree?” This is, obviously, a thinly veiled threat -- a reminder to take note of one’s place in the current situation.
Beckett effectively threatens Elizabeth, who is currently a criminal among criminals and being hunted as such, and uses Swann’s concern for his daughter to force the governor to work for the EITC.
Even here, we explicitly see the jurisdiction matter playing out. When Swann asks what Beckett wants in exchange for Elizabeth’s safety, Beckett is more than clear: “Your authority as governor, your influence in London, and your loyalty to the East India Trading Company.” Beckett uses this opportunity to appropriate the governor’s power. While Beckett now technically has the highest authority in Port Royal, he nonetheless ensures that his only possible competitor is working for him, bolstering his power rather than being able to challenge it. Like we see in every case, Beckett will not kill someone that can be more useful to him alive.
We can also revisit the conflict between Beckett and Swann in the terms Beckett uses: currency versus loyalty. Again, the irony is immaculate. While Beckett’s every move is made on the premise that currency is more valuable than loyalty, he himself values loyalty enough to buy it -- the very thing he says Swann “hoped never to sell.”
If you’ve reached the end of this post, dear reader, I commend you. That said, there are a few caveats to consider. Namely, much of Beckett’s PotC Wiki seems to imply that he had the king’s support and, no conniving required, would have been able to exercise authority over Governor Swann. In that case, things like Swann’s letter are less important (beyond the matter of Elizabeth’s safety, of course). I’m assuming that much of what “actually” happened rests on the details of the EITC’s expansion into the Caribbean -- which Disney handwaved in the films for the most part and only later expanded on (somewhat) in things like the novelizations, which I have not yet read.

“Reasons Why I ~Shouldn’t~ Ship RemRom” Masterlist
(Companion to: "Reasons Why I Ship RemRom" Masterlist)
After a year of shipping RemRom, I think I’ve heard every argument against it. I decided to compile a masterlist so it’s easier to copy and paste a link the next time I hear the same argument for the zillionth time. (Obviously some of the reasons and explanations overlap, but I tried my best to keep them separated and organized. Am I missing a reason? Shoot me an ask and I’ll add it!)
Some apply to me personally, some do not, but I will use the terms “I/Me/We/Us” interchangeably:
“They’re brothers.” Some people ship brothers. Some people don’t consider them brothers, or purposefully make them unrelated in their fic.
“It’s Incest.” All the sides are part of Thomas, all ships are literally selfcest. “It’s CANON that they’re brothers.” Whether or not we agree with you on what is and isn’t canon, people are free to cherrypick what canon they use or discard at will. Fanfic does not have to be 100% canon compliant.
“It’s Gross/Disgusting/Icky.” Some people don’t think it’s gross. Other people like it because it’s gross. Most people agree that sardines are gross, but there’s still people who like them. Eating Bertie Bott's vomit-flavored jelly beans is gross, but it’s still “safe” because it doesn’t carry the same risks and repercussions that eating real vomit in Real Life does.
“It’s Wrong.” Lots of things are wrong - Murder. Violence. Abuse. Drugs. Etc. People still write about them, even in a “positive” light.
“It’s Illegal.” Wait, are you talking about incest in Fiction, or in Real Life? Because incest in Real Life is mostly illegal (I say “mostly” because the specific laws can vary in different places depending on gender and degree of relation), but writing about incest is not illegal. It’s important you know that there’s a difference between fiction and reality.
“Fiction influences Reality.” But fiction is not the same as reality, nor does it have a 1:1 direct influence. Things like the Scully Effect and the Jaws Effect don’t apply here - fanfiction doesn’t have the kind of mainstream or widespread influence that a prime time television show or a blockbuster movie does, and it comes with tags and trigger warnings that those kinds of media do not.
“Shipping RemRom means you support incest in real life.” No, it does not. Shipping is not activism, and enjoying incest in fiction does not mean we condone it in real life.
“Shipping RemRom means you don’t have any siblings, or that you want to bang your siblings.” No, it does not. Many shippers have siblings, and our relationships with our siblings are platonic - we have no desire to bang them. See again: There is a difference between fiction and reality.
“Children will read this and think incest is Okay.” Children should be taught by their caregivers and teachers/mentors to critically examine the media they consume. It is not a fanfiction author’s job to teach children morality - we assume whoever is reading our fics already knows “Incest is Wrong” and is willing to suspend their belief for the length of the fanfic.
“RemRom romanticizes incest.” I mean, I guess yeah? But you should know that going into it? Oxford defines “Romanticize” as “deal with or describe in an idealized or unrealistic fashion; make (something) seem better or more appealing than it really is.” - isn’t that what most fanfiction does anyways? Do you also complain that apple juice tastes like apples?  (Addendum 1: “Incest should not be Romanticized/Glorified.” Fiction is a safe space to explore taboo topics. It can be educational to see something “bad” (like abuse or incest) portrayed in a “good” light in fiction so that you can learn to recognize it and not get fooled by that kind of propaganda or situation in Real Life.)  (Addendum 2: What counts as "Romanticizing/Glorifying Incest” can be extremely subjective, and is not universal to all fic and shippers. There are shippers who don’t write Roman and Remus as brothers, so their fic is not romanticizing “incest”. There’s fic that portrays RemRom as abusive or destructive, or portrays a realistic reaction to the others finding out about the relationship, so that fic is not “romanticizing” incest. But people who accuse RemRom of “romanticizing incest” don’t really care about these distinctions, they just want to condemn/exclude all RemRom fanfic and shippers.)
“RemRom normalizes incest.” It really doesn’t. That’s why we use tags and trigger warnings, because we know it’s not normal and can trigger people. Incest shipping will always be a minor section of fandom, and allowing us to exist in fandom spaces does not mean we’ll ever be a majority or “normal”.
“RemRom is triggering.” People triggered by RemRom can block and filter the tags to avoid seeing it. (Addendum: “RemRom isn’t being tagged.” If a post isn’t tagged properly, OP needs to be contacted directly so they can fix their error. Posting generalizing statements about huge amounts of RemRom going untagged smells like slander, and I’d like some proof before I’ll believe any more claims of this.)
“RemRom is harmful.” A fictional story in and of itself is not harmful. Any “harm” that it can cause stems from things like a lack of warnings (which is why tags and trigger warnings are important), a lack of personal responsibility (people who know they will get harmed not filtering it out or choosing to expose themselves to it despite warnings), a lack of morality/critical thinking skills (which it is assumed a reader has before entering into the fic), or a violation of the fic’s intended use (the “grooming” argument).
“RemRom can be used for grooming.” And a hammer can be used to bash someone’s skull in. That’s not its intended use, and taking away one tool will not stop a groomer from using another.
“Thomas hates RemRom/doesn’t want people to ship it.” I’ve seen a couple people spreading this rumor, but there’s never any proof. Pics or it didn’t happen. (Addendum 1: Does this mean I think Thomas ships it? No, I don’t think he does. Considering his Catholic upbringing, he probably doesn’t like it. But he’s never said anything about it.) (Addendum 2: Does this mean I want him to say something about it, or that I encourage people to ask him or Joan about it? HELL NO. Leave Thomas and Co out of this, it is not their place to weigh in on fandom drama.)
“Joan said they were brothers.” Joan said they were “conceptually” brothers, like Patton is a Dad or Logan is a Teacher. Joan also said that they were not biologically brothers.
“Roman and Remus consider themselves brothers.” Patton considers himself the father of the others, specifically Virgil and Thomas. If you can accept one ship, you can accept the other. (Addendum: It is a common trope of romcoms for the female love interest to say that the male lead is “like a brother to her”, only for them to romantically end up together by the end of the flick.)
“Roman and Remus hate each other.” Feelings change. Roman didn’t like Virgil in the beginning either. Also, fic doesn’t have to be canon-compliant. Also also, “They hate each other” is the perfect foundation for tropes like “Enemies to Lovers”.
“RemRom is abusive because Remus knocked Roman out.” The sides are all imaginary, and Logan said that object impermanence renders him pretty unintimidating. Remus’s violence is as abusive and permanent as the violence in Saturday Morning Cartoons. Also, fic doesn’t have to be compliant to canon relationships.
“RemRom is disrespectful to Trauma Survivors.” No. Shipping fictional incest does not condone real-life incest, and there are Trauma Survivors who use proshipping to cope. (Addendum: “RemRom isn’t a good coping mechanism/Trauma survivors who proship are re-traumatizing themselves.” Falsehood. Therapists/counselors/etc. support proshipping as a coping mechanism. It’s not for everyone, but it can help people cope.)
“RemRom is disrespectful to Fictives and Kinnies.” No. My RemRom fic as no more to do with your Fictive than my Thomas/Jon Cozart RPS has to do with the actors themselves. It’s not about you, it’s about my version of this character. Also, there are Fictives and Kinnies who ship RemRom.
“Why can’t you ship any other pairing instead?” Because we like this pairing. Because this pairing has implications and themes that other pairings do not. If somebody is happily enjoying some durian fruit, you shouldn’t slap it out of their hand and demand, “Why can’t you just eat an apple instead?” (Addendum: Most people do ship other ships as well. But due to the wide practice of excluding/banning proshippers from large sections of Tumblr/Discord/etc., you won’t see your average Fander admit to also shipping RemRom on their main. This fandom shunning forces Fanders to set up secret RemRom-devoted sideblogs, which leads to a deceptive assumption that “RemRom shippers won’t talk about any other ship” without acknowledging that proshippers are often not allowed into other fandom spaces to talk about other ships because so many people refuse to interact with them.)

Rant Incoming:
I’m not blind to the fact a few thousand of you are probably only here for my rants at this point, but for those of you who are here for my more wholesome takes and guide-related content I encourage you to please block the #discourse and #fandom drama tags. As always, your dashboard content is in your hands. Please stay safe out there, and try to prioritize your own mental health over sipping the latest tea.
This post may include some vaguely accusatory language directed at a lot of “you”s and “they”s, but I am not singling out any one individual here. I’m just very frustrated and disappointed in humanity right now and no amount of editing is going to scrub that squeaky clean.
Now, with that said...
Y'all really out there actively threatening a woman's life and livelihood in the middle of a global pandemic over:
A: An opinion on a kid's movie;
B: Two paragraphs in said opinion warning that toxic fans might pull exactly this, which the author admitted herself was childish and apologized for very quickly;
C: Some reblogs screenshotted out of context and posted to Twitter, some months or years old.
Cancel Culture™️ is horrifying.
I've been sitting here for days watching maliciously crafted screenshots circulate on Twitter; screenshots taken in such a way that masks they are of reblogs, not original posts. To anyone who uses Tumblr regularly it's obvious, right? We all know that left-hand bar means quoted text that doesn't necessarily belong to "OP" or reflect their views (usually).
Twitter users and global news outlets, not so much.
Some people are taking advantage of that social media divide to blow this discourse way out of proportion in an attempt to decimate an innocent woman’s life and livelihood. Bot accounts are repeatedly posting accusations against OP with no proof only to disappear without a trace once their "tips” take off.
I sincerely hope that none of you reading this are taking part in the current brigade. If you have, I implore you to take a step back and ask yourselves if you have the whole picture. Ask yourselves if you truly believe you have the right to threaten a regular person over a difference in opinion, even if you think it's a bad take.
Try not to assume malice when ignorance could just as easily be the underlying factor. This is why civil discussion even when things get heated is so tremendously important.
Nobody deserves to have their life threatened over a fandom, no matter what their opinion is. Nobody deserves to have fame-chasers jump out of the woodwork claiming OP is a "racist ableist abuser of minors" without proof just because they're globally trending on Twitter. Nobody deserves to have their entire livelihood put at risk over a kids' movie.
This is a regular person, not some hot-shot politician or celebrity who has an agent to go over their posts with a fine-toothed comb. She doesn't deserve to have those other posts she didn't even write taken and added as fuel to the fire for the sake of drama. Folks are adding lies to the pile of “evidence”, either through malice or misinformation, and claiming they're some “smoking gun” with regards to both her strength of character and the supposed skeletons in her closet.
Even if they were: Our skeletons give structure to who we have grown to be in the now. Full stop.
Actually, once more for the people in the back who don’t understand why Cancel Culture™️ is so dangerous:
Our skeletons give structure to who we have grown to be in the now.
Even if you think someone’s suffered a fracture or two in their life, you don’t invasively cut them open to check the bones directly. You take an x-ray, say “Oh yeah, that was broken once but the patient has taken steps to make sure it isn’t impacting their current quality of life”, and move on.
(Or, alternatively, point out “Yo man you might wanna have that looked at further because I’m pretty sure it didn’t set right the first time.”)
I hope you can forgive the shit metaphor.
The point is be kind. Even if you don't agree, try to take the road of civil discussion. Keep a level head. Ask questions. Educate yourselves if not others, or leave it alone if you genuinely don’t care.
It's a choice we all have, and it’s all some of us have left.

Disclaimer: I suppose I technically know Hailey/Squigg in passing - she’s a friend of a friend, though since we frequent different social and academic/professional circles we’ve never really been acquainted proper. Does that still introduce some level of bias? Of course it does. However, I can condemn the mob mentality currently surrounding her without agreeing with the post she made.
This isn't black and white. She is more than a subject of discourse. She is a passionate theorist and a talented storyteller. She is an industry professional with several fantastic portfolio projects under her belt. She is in my limited experience kind and empathetic and more than a tad mischievous, but also opinionated and far from perfect.
We all have moments where our mouths outrun our brains in the moment; Not only is Hailey no exception, she near-immediately took the steps to correct her slip-up when she realized part of her wording was pointlessly accusatory. You’d be surprised how rare that is. Unfortunately the post had already taken off and Cancel Culture™️ deems the appropriate response is to glass the planet rather than acknowledge any gestures of correction or goodwill.
Anyway!
Standing up against bullying and cancel/doxx culture isn’t bootlicking, it’s just common sense.
Be kind.

If you don't like Misha, this post might make you smirk.
I did this post yesterday and then deleted it because the OP made me feel sorry for her.  Luckily for me, someone reblogged it and my momentary stupidity is now remedied.  This whole scenario makes me smirk.
Yesterday's post:
Doll face found @dean-supernatural-akf ranting in the main tags, including the Jensen tag, which is why she forwarded this biased drivel to me.  Thanks sweetie.  I scrolled though OPs blog, trying to figure this person out, because she ships wincest and destiel, apparently.  And she hates the haters.  It is convenient and dismissive to label those who don’t agree with you, don’t you think?  Label them rather than proving them wrong conclusively, because that would be difficult and you might lose the argument because of a lack of intelligence.  So call them names and be done with it.  Her rant is in italics, and my rebuttal in bold.
Rude and Missunderstood.
I CAN LIKE MISHA COLLINS AS AN HUMAN AND ACTOR WITHOUT BEING ONE OF HIS MINIONS.
Shocking right?
Here have a seat and lean back.
Very recently i got heavily missunderstood, and i’m making this post so it won’t happen again.
I asked someone if their blog is real . Because it was so full of hate against this actor named Misha Collins.
This guy right here, and I bet when you are one of the anti misha people then you even share the same look on your face right now, congrats.
Listen… I love JENSEN and i love JARED. And yes i love MISHA too.
But i don’t follow him around like a dog, i don’t kiss the ground where hes walking on.
AND i also don’t do this with J2.
Why is it that when there is an entire blog dedicated to hate for Jensen or Jared, there is no bleeding heart rant like this about that blogger?  But if you write a blog about all the mean things Misha and his fans do, you are a “horrible human being” with “toxicity and hate in your heart”.  No, I would prefer to call it discernment.  I wont like someone just because “it SPNFamily darn it, haters don’t belong”.  So if Misha gives me consistent reasons to hate him, I am still not allowed to hate him because I will be ejected from SPNFamily?  What is this?  A communist fanbase?  Nobody is allowed to have their own opinions?  Everybody must think the same way and feel the same fairytale happy feelings?  Which dandelion world did you pop up from?
I fight for all of them, i fight against the hate that all of those three get and Misha gets more hate then J2 and thats a fact.
Misha gets more hate?  Really?  You mean like death threats?  Like people tweeting him directly that they wish he was dead?  That kind of hate?  Please, show me where the hate is.  Bring me your receipts.  I want to see all the hate that Misha gets.
And it’s so fucking unfair, i have seen blogs and people that wish that he would die, a man with two children and wife.
This is so sick and it’s so not okay.
Prove it.  Screenshot and show me where all these horrible people are.  I will put it in a post.  I always do.  The death threats and death wishes for J2 have been screenshotted and are on my blog.  So I have proof for my claims.  Bring the proof for your claims.  Its called making mature statements.  Quantifying your claims.  So please, set me straight.  Show me all the nastiness poor Misha gets.  I would like to see it.
About the Misha minions, MISHA ISNT THE ONLY ONE WITH MINIONS.
Shocking again, right ?
From under which rock did you emerge?  Misha named his fans minions.  Very disrespectful.  No other actor has ’‘minions’’.  Benedict Cumberbatch didn’t like his fans referring to themselves as Cumberb*tches.  I respect him for that.  Misha did the opposite.   Shocking, right?
The people who only love J2 hate on Misha. And the people who love all of them hate back against the anti Misha people.
That is an incredibly simplistic way of putting it.  And it gives me the impression that this rant was written by someone who is young and idealistic in their notion of how the world works.  How come you don’t talk about the people who like Jensen and Misha and therefore hate Jared?  You cant.  You cant because that would be problematic to the narrative you are vomiting right now.  Those cockles perverts are the ones that tweet him, telling him that that they cant wait for him to die.  Receipts on my blog.
The way you support J2 is the same way that Misha’s people support him.
Actually no, J2 fans don’t get angry when Misha is interviewed for Elle magazine, yelling “where’s J2”.  They don’t ask “Whose line is it,anyway?” why they excluded J2.  They don’t threaten to burn Misha alive in his house for being anti-destiel and/or making a joke about Jensen.  That happened with Jensen.  I have the receipts.  The same group were discussing kidnapping Jared’s kids.  That group was made up of 3500 people.  So many haters slipped up your radar?  Well, now you know.
Minions and bitchy people are EVERYWHERE.
It is such a useless fight, don’t like someone?
THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT.
Yeah, take a page out of your own book.  If you don’t like the “haters”, as you dismissively call them, then don’t put this incorrect, unsubstantiated, unquantifiable rant in the main tags.  In fact, keep your uninformed opinion to yourself.
What you do when you hate someone so badly and make a whole tumblr Blog about it then you are not better as those highschool bullies.
Dealing with the entire subject of hate, in the most abstract manner, without any analysis into your darling actor’s bad behavior and without taking into account the nasty behavior of his fandom, shows that high school is all you know.  Hopefully, one day you will grow up and think on broader terms.
Cyberbullying is a serious subject, and thats exactly what you do with Hate Blogs and Hate tweets and Hate comments.
Keep using the word “hate”.  It will abrogate all the legitimate anger that the J2 fans have against Misha and his hellerminions.  Hellers are the biggest cyberbullies in fandom.  They sent hate directly to J2.  Some of the things they write will shock a person who has a real disdain to hate, not a daffodil like you who thinks Misha is infallible and doesn’t deserve an anti tag.  One said that she couldn’t wait for Jared to die.  And she tweeted that directly to Jared, along with a praying emoji.  Oh, you don’t know about that?  Well, then I guess you are not an authority on who is SPNFamily and who is not, now are you?
You want to be a bully ? You love spreading hate ?
THEN JUST FUCKING BLOCK ME AND DON’T REPLY TO THIS.
Don’t reply to this?  Then why put it in the main tags, as well as inappropriate tags, and still hope that nobody disagree with you.  Aren’t we childish?
Tumblr media
What happened after the post was put up:
She DM's me and says that she has since changed her mind because she did another post about the hate that J2 get, and if I could please remove my post, because she was suffering panic attacks over it.  I said I would, but she is going to remove the above misleading post and provide me with proof that Misha gets death threats.  Caught between a rock and a hard place, she said that she came across the death threats on two blogs, that had blocked her for some mysterious reason, which is why she couldn't screenshot the evidence.  I found what those reasons were, when I went to those blogs:
@castiel-needs-2-go
@destiew-must-go
I searched through their blogs, and found nothing.  No death threats.  They just point out the truth about Misha.  That is it.  She accused them for nothing.  Of course, that didn't occur to me until today, because I still felt concerned for her because the poor kid was suffering panic attacks.  So I deleted the post.  Today I find this message from her:
''So i asked like 10 different people Misha stans and Misha haters about those things you said he did. Nobody has ever heard of it, no one. You are telling your lies man, i aint stopping ya. But you are a horrible person if you need to attack a 19 year old on the Internet and 'Call me out' just because it gives you a kick. And just because you disagreed. My post will stay deleted because it wasnt up to Date anymore, but it wont be my last one. People like you need to be stopped, people like you are the reason why this fandom sucks so hard. Bye Bye. You are the sick one here .''
The weird thing is she attached this gif:
Tumblr media
I don't know whether she thought it was going to hurt my feelings or something but, it actually helps to show her true identity.  She is not a wincest fan.  She is a Sam-hating heller in disguise.  Who would have thunk it?

Hello ^_^ I’m just starting a OP imagines blog, can you give me any advice/tips? (You don’t have to if you don’t want to!!)
Hey, angel!! I did a post answering a similar ask on my old blog, so I just copied it here because it still stands imo.
consume! read op writings and headcanons from every single blog if you aren’t confident! read the manga scenes including the characters you’re writing, read the scripts of the anime (or simply watch the anime). read novels and articles! read prompts and fill out questionnaires - even if you never share them, you still receive the practice and it lets you dwell and flesh out the characters more. sometimes as an exercise, i like going into random fandoms i’ve never heard of and read writings from it to see new experiences, character types, and unique writing styles! take experiences from your own life and trickle them into the answers! watch clips from random shows and films, read poetry and look at words! stare at paintings and statues, listen to music! while this isn’t an excuse to copy directly from the sources, a wide pallete allows you to tinker with scenarios and thoughts to create something of your own. If you don’t have any time to consume, you don’t have any time to grow and innovate as a writer.
ask for advice! nearly every single ask i receive across all blogs i ask my friend to proof read or see if there is anything else they can contribute to expand my thoughts. of course, its polite to mention that you received assistance and link their blog or tag them so people can notice them as well!
briefly mentioned before, look at writing prompts! roleplay starter memes - anything of the sort usually helps! look at lists of unique words and their definitions! that can be fuel for your mind
practice! practice! practice! refine and use your skills. you don’t have to share any of it, but, just do it. make ocs! write for obscure fandoms, mindlessly draft poetry or prompts, or jot down random headcanons that pop into your mind. also, keep everything your write. even if you think its god awful, it may be of use one day. if inspiration hits you, write down your idea. even if its on your history notes or margin of your bookmark. you’ll use it one day, i promise.
a peculiar one, but, switch up what you write with! mainly type on a laptop? use a pencil! use a pen! sometimes i even use a typewriter! tinker around with mobile! write sideways in a notebook or strictly on sticky notes! it sounds really weird but i almost always notice a difference in style and flow. you can always go back and edit it as well!!
if you struggle with characters, again, i recommend filling out “ oc “ charts so you can dwell on things that make them relatable/ human. it could be as simple as “shanks hates making his bed” to “shanks struggle(d/s) with the day to day hardships of only having one arm, he had to relearn how to do basic tasks that are taken for granted on a daily basis.” just a little blurb and you’re like “damn. maybe shanks hates making his bed because it’s extremely difficult for him to do.” you usually you can make connections easily if you keep and reread/ rewrite your old stuff!
I’d also like to add that I recommend politely asking for promotions from other blogs/ making a promo post for others to reblog! It can really help to get a little boost of activity and more requests to start off with! Also, maybe find a OP discord that has a channel for promos or for writing just in general!!

Also other thing that is semi related to this but I have to say it to someone. For years I see people saying that Hetalia is dying bla bla bla support artists, support writers etc etc but in my opinion it's not dying bc there are always new people coming BUT it's completely stagnated. Hetalia has the capacity to attract people but very rarely can keep them interested for a long time (cont)
Bc there's this mentality of 'quick works are good but often more detailed stuff is ignored' especially on fanfics. How are people supposed to keep being interested if more serious and detailed stuff are being overlooked? Don't get me wrong both are fine but there should be a balance between both and not dismiss one of them. Hell I like when my memes are reblogs I laugh a lot with them but I wish that my fics that I worked hard on had the same attention (cont)
And i'm sure others would too. Idk where I'm trying to get here but I think that the fandom has potential that is not being used bc damn it after 11 years people are still coming so there are very attractive factors going on here but there's no power to retain people why? More support on both styles of work could help imo but that's me
@aph-belarusia
i’m making another post because i’m gonna get long and i don’t think replies are the most comfortable way to have a conversation...
i agree with you like, whenever people call hetalia a dead fandom i always roll my eyes because ... y’all... i’ve been in fandoms made of like ten people. these kids have NO IDEA what a dead fandom is dhsjfh but while it’s not dead i think there are a few issues, namely
some people are afraid to reblog hetalia because the anime/fandom has a bad reputation. i can’t count the number of likes i get on my works from people who do not seem to be into hetalia at all at first glance... and i always wonder if it’s a mistake but after i see the same non-hetalia person liking my posts... twice... four times... ten times it’s obvious that it’s no coincidence here. i do not think that the fandom’s attitude to self degrade and joke about how horrible and problematic and embarrassing hetalia is helps at all. if we content creators and fandom in general started talking positively about hetalia, and owned the fact that we like this anime and the related fanwork even more instead of being like “uwu i may draw and reblog hetalia but i don’t support it and i’m not in the fandom” maybe people would be less hesitant about reblogging hetalia content.
there’s this ... extremely widespread attitude among artists and writers to be like, “reblogs not likes! if you like my art you might as well ignore it and spit in my soup and call me worthless!” and yet... i rarely see the people who are so adamant about this ever reblog (or like) anyone’s fanwork but their own which is interesting, considering :^) i understand pride and no one’s forcing you to reblog anything of course, but sometimes a “nice!” in the replies if for whatever reason you cannot reblog someone’s work will make someone’s day.
quite a few people i talked with told me they feel too shy about leaving comments or talking to me and.... seriously. y’all. writers are huge fuckin nerds. if you are nice and don’t come with insults or entitlement, no one will snub you or be rude to you. i swear. i’m actually dying to yell in chat about headcanons.... and so are... 99% of writers from what i can tell
so here’s some Fandom Praxis i hold myself to, usually, as i try to navigate these tendencies in the hetalia fandom:
art made by people and posted directly on tumblr > reposted pixiv fanart (yes, even those that say reposted with permission) i usually never reblog fanart that is reposted from pixiv or keep it to a bare minimum. people seem to be super fond of the “Pixiv style” and often reblog fanart reposted from japanese pixiv accounts and disdain more “tumblr-looking” style of art,, but i don’t think it’s fair towards the person who gets their art reposted and there is never any proof in those posts that the permission was actually given other than “op says so”. even if someone’s style is not the most aesthetically pleasing to me, when i see art i like (keyword: i like) here on tumblr i try to support the artist and interact with the post even if i just leave a like
networking > guilt tripping build a network of friends and followers with similar interests who will enjoy not just your work but also enjoy talking to you and exchanging ideas because fandom is about FUN and about creativity and human relations not about the number of notes on a post.  engaging with people and sharing your ideas generally builds positive connections and community solidarity... it’s not about the notes you get but also about the notes you give to your friends and fandom peers and the relationships you form this way. i’ve found so many friends i’m grateful for through the hetalia fandom!!! any genuine relationship and genuine exchange of ideas and yes even of notes and comments is what makes fandom such a good place...
if you like a fanfiction leave a kudo and/or a comment it doesn’t have to be literary analysis a “(keysmash) i love this” ... is enough seriously as someone who’s been a passive reader for ages before i became more engaged in the fanfiction writing side of fandom it never occurred to me but it’s so important to let writers KNOW DIRECTLY that you enjoyed their work. so often people devalue the skills it takes to write something and take fanfiction for granted but it’s such a stressful and long process and it puts the person publishing their work in a really vulnerable place... because writing is always a piece of someone’s heart and soul that they are showing to you. if you like something, show it! and...
explore tumblr ship/character tags and fanfic writers networks instead of sorting by kudos/views on ao3- seriously, the best fics i’ve found never made it to the “sort by kudos” top pages and they really deserve to- but they can’t if people continue to stubbornly ignore smaller writers with this sort of filtering. fanfiction is not one-size-fits-all and finding writers with similar interests instead of going by the opinion of the faceless crowd will make your reading experience so much better
do not be afraid to talk to writers like seriously we are all fckin nerds i cannot stress this enough

Dude, you need to rethink what you’re doing before jumping in like this. This post doesn’t have much to do with RWBY or RWDE really, just a lot of faulty arguments.
1- call attention to the fact he believes that just because someone has committed what he BELIEVES to be a logical fallacy that their argument is suddenly void and invalid which in and of itself is the “fallacy fallacy.” He firmly believes that by pointing out a fallacy he’s completely destroyed the argument which is not only incorrect because the inherent lack of stated fallacy by Kob, but also because an argument that presents a fallacy is not inherently incorrect. But only someone actually familiar with these fallacies would know that and kob has proven time and again he is not
Incorrect. Fallacy fallacy implies that my conclusion to the fallacy is that he is wrong.
But if you take a look at what I said:
Here we seen an example of the person attacking the person and not the argument which is known as “Ad Hominin” while using loaded words to sway public opinion to their side known as “Manipulative language”. Not even a paragraph in and the person has already shown an inability to even debate properly.
I never dismissed their argument. While you could say I was looking down on the argument for being fallacious, I am not dismissing it as I have an example of me pointing of a logical fallacy and dismissing the argument.
Now we see a use of the logical fallacy known as “Buzzwords” as we seen here with “gaslighting” which is a logical fallacy used to sow distrust in people by making them question their own memory and sanity. However, we do not see the OP at all question the reblogger’s sanity or memory. Thus the above is simply using the negative implications of the word to slander the OP.
But here, I show why the argument is incorrect as the argument at and does not connect to what their opponent is saying.
The two are clearly different from each other because the second is about disproving an argument a nd the other is about showing the fallacies in it because the first is a judgement about a subjective look at OP’s arguments when in reality, there is no way to get an objective view because even asking OP could result in them giving a biased answer. There is no way to argue it because every argument would be a statement of opinion. So0 instead, I showed that my opponent was using fallacies in order to show why their arguments are untrustworthy.
2- Kob’s so wrapped up in his crusade against RWDE and has YET to realize that he’s fighting- not a hivemind of people all with similar thoughts and opinions and a desire to engage him in debate- but DOZENS of different bloggers all with different and often conflicting opinions. He’s so concerned with “Rwde being the worst members of the fndm” that he hasn’t actually realized that “Rwde” IS NOT A PERSON. It’s not even a concept. IT’S A TAG USED BY PEOPLE TO ARCHIVE THEIR NEGATIVE COMMENTARY. The phrase “I hate Jaune Arc for no reason in particular” is just as likely to be in the RWDE tag as a twelve page thesis on why Jaune Arc is a bad character who’s done nothing but detract from the show. But Kob hasn’t realized this yet and lumps people’s shitposts and general negative commentary with actual think-pieces and assumes that because the op tagged RWDE that they’re somehow related or even aware of each other. He’s created an “us vs them” mentality where the “them” is anyone who’s ever used this tag for any reason whatsoever and it’s ASTOUNDING how obtuse he has to be to not have realized that he’s fighting a losing battle against a TAG especially considering his own CRTQ tag failed to gain any real traction outside of his own group
....
Appeal to motive.
You are dismissing my arguments simply because of what you assume my motive is. And while this does look like a fallacy fallacy: Look at the above and tell me where an argument pertaining to my arguments outside of their motive exists.
The answer is: nowhere. There entire paragraph here is an argument about my motive and not my argument. It basically boils down to “Since KOB has a motive against the RWDE tag, then his entire argument is invalid!” with no other arguments.
And while this might be worth looking into if my entire post was about the RWDE tag: it’s not. In fact, I only refer to a group ONCE.
I do declare: Shouldn’t that line of reasoning apply to the entirety of the group you are defending? They exhibit the exact same behavior as you accuse the OP and unlike the OP, the group here has a history of lying and attacking and is widely regarded as the worst of this here fandom. So perhaps you should heed your own advice?
And the fact of the matter is: Tis only tangently connects to the RWDE tag. People who think that the show belongs to them, in the RWDE tag or not, are in fact the worst people in the fandom. It doesn’t matter if they like RWDE, hate it or is even knowledgeable about them: Because of their tendency to force their opinions on other people as well as their massive hostility and entitlement makes them the worst of the fandom. RWDE has this aspect but they don’t have sole ownership of it.
This argument doesn’t even connect directly to RWDE nor is there any evidence I was referring to rwde. This is just about arguing a supposed motive to dismiss my arguments without addressing them. And while I may do it and I will work on that, that doesn’t give them the right to do it. Just means we’re both wrong.
3- “no such thing as a bad trope” while I am oh so disturbingly inclined to agree with him on this he fails to realize that his “tropes are tools” statement literally creates the next argument “these tropes are incorrectly utilized” which has been a HUGE problem for this damn show from the beginning. This is something that the crew have admitted themselves and something that’s widely known to be true “the tropes in RWBY often distract from the central plot in a negative way” but Kob will INSIST on sealioning and pretending he has no idea that this issue exists and force you to explain every tiny detail and fight you the entire time as if any intellectual debate can be formed against someone who hasn’t yet grasped simple facts such as “Jaune stalked and harassed Weiss during v2” or “the RNJR components of v4 were largely filler providing little to no support to the overall plot of the story” OR “the handling of TWF subplot raises uncomfortable and disconcerting issues with people who’ve had to fight for their rights in a similar manner to the Faunus and TWF.” These are basic facts about this show and Kob REFUSES to so much as entertain the idea that they might be correct and it’s impossible to have a civil discussion with someone who refuses to accept the truth in favor of praising their favorite show.
... But that wasn’t the point.
If you take a look at the post I was responding to:
And here we witness one @siennataurus skillfully demonstrating the Stan Power of “Disregarding The Fact That People Are Allowed To Have And Express Negative Opinions Regarding, And Dissatisfaction With, The Media They Consume.” Astounding! Though immediately following it up with such a badly botched attempt at obvious gaslighting really detracts from the overall quality of the Stanning.
P.S. Sienna. Dear. Deliberately going out of your way to seek out content that disturbs you, to the point where it obviously causes you psychological distress, is an extremely unhealthy and terribly immature behavior. Just sayin’. You might want to discuss your anger addiction with someone before it inevitably escalates, for the sake of your own well-being.
(P.P.S. I don’t even go here and I know for a fact that I could do a better job of writing the show in question here. Mainly because, y’know, my intellectual and emotional development didn’t come to a screeching halt at the tender age of 11; also because I’m not an actual piece of shit and I’m capable of recognizing the fact that certain tropes and behaviors are really shitty and should be avoided at all costs.)
They never refer to the execution of RWBY’s tropes but JUST the tropes themselves. I am not arguing the execution because the person I am arguing against is not arguing the execution. They are arguing certain tropes as a whole are wrong so I argued against that statement and that statement alone. This is just Moving The Goalposts , demanding that I argue more and more points when the initial point was adequately debunked without acknowledging it was debunked. I do have to go any further than this simply because your argument at it’s base is wrong.
Tl;DR: Kob is a mess who refuses to understand the basics of the tools he attempts to use and only seeks to use them in order to defeat his opponent- and like an untrained civillian presented with an armory against an enemy, will never learn the tactical advantage the tried and true Glock-9 will have over the flashy gold plated SMG who’s safety is on
...
This analogy has nothing to do with what you’ve said. This implies that I use fallacies as a flashy weapon unskillfully but you never debunk the way I use the fallacies nor how I used the wrong aside from the first post.
And the ironic thing is: You seem to be the one concerned with appearance over substance when I am not. You use fallacy fallacy incorrectly and in the process, making an entire argument you made turn against you while I just used them to show scummy methods. You also go on to arguing my motive when not only did my motive have nothing to do with my argument thus you were committing Fallacy fallacy yourself but there was no proof that the motive you said I had was what I had and you had no other argument in that. And the third time is you using Moving The Goalposts while not addressing my argument against the person I was arguing.
In short: You only barely address what I am saying and not once did you argue me directly, instead being vague or talking about subjects that don’t matter.
There’s a reason why you have to keep a clear head when arguing people: This and myself are reasons why.

thesplendidangharadd replied to your post “That's why I didn't understand your logic. While you admitted that...”
I know you hate it when I kinda " hijack" your post but seriously I couldn't stop myself on this one . Kubo did "show" us several times ichigo had latent feelings for Orihime . The lust arc ? The grimmjow fight ? The way he reacted when she was taken to hueco Mundo ? All of this happened around chapter 200 /300 it's not the end of the story . The fandom went out of its way to prove those moments meant nothing and IT DID . The thing is that
all those ichiruki moments you think Kubo "showed" can be interpreted as a strong platonic friendship . Ichigo's showing his feelings for orihime though ? Can only be interpreted as romantic . It's the peak of mauvaise foi for you to show us yoruichi telling ichigo to say something nice to orihime and not show those like 6 panels of him blushing out of his mind just because orihime wore a revealing outfit which was the " show" part of " show don't tell"
Kubo did not separate ichigo and rukia in order to push for ichihime . He separated them because from a story telling point of view their relationship reached its narrative end at the end of the fullbring arc . Ichigo doubted rukia was still his nakama because she did not come to see him while he was powerless but when she came back to gave him his powers he understood the bond he had with her was unbreakable which made him understand the bond he had with his other frien
friends ( who were under tsukishima influence at the time ) was also unbreakable . Showing scenes of them together had no point because the readers knew where they stood , their bond didn't need further developemment . Ichihime did and renruki though and that's why there is more of it in the last arc . Bleach was not a victim of ichiruki chemistry but of the ichiruki fandom who had a frienship who could be interpreted as love for the first 100 chapters and clung to it
for the other 580 chapters of the manga blindly refuting what was irrefutable proof that the manga was going in the ichihime direction
*sigh* You do realize that the reply feature is meant to be used for short messages? Save your interlocutor the trouble and hit ‘reblog’ pls?
(putting this under a cut because I care about my fellow man and their dash)
I know you hate it when I kinda " hijack" your post but seriously I couldn't stop myself on this one
Tumblr media
Er... When have I ever said that...? I’m not even sure what you mean by ‘hijack’? Replying to/reblogging a post is not hijacking.  I can ignore your rebuttal if I so wish and if I didn’t want people to react to this post I wouldn’t have made it (though I’d blame the requester for the impetus, I was just replying to an ask).  S’all good 👍
I’ll tell you what I do dislike, though, since we’re on the subject (hate is a pretty strong word): people who reply to a post in underhanded ways.  Liiiike, say (and this is completely off the top of my head, totes random example) taking screenshots of a post (not even in its entirety), then uploading them to their blog and going off on a rant the OP will receive no notification for and thus cannot respond to unless they stumble upon it by chance. Which of course allows them to be as unpleasant as they like before their audience of sycophants and call the OP names without fear of them actually weighing in.
Wouldn’t happen to be familiar with a class act like that, would you? :) Just curious!
And yeah, I bet you couldn’t help yourself.  It’s, like, so harrrrd to stay out of the tag of your NOTP.  It’s not like you want to stir up trouble, no siree, not you, not ever.
The thing is that all those ichiruki moments you think Kubo "showed" can be interpreted as a strong platonic friendship . Ichigo's showing his feelings for orihime though ? Can only be interpreted as romantic
[...] Showing scenes of [Ichigo and Rukia] together had no point because the readers knew where they stood , their bond didn't need further developemment . Ichihime did and renruki though and that's why there is more of it in the last arc .
I’m confused.  If the only way to interpret all of Ichigo’s interactions with Orihime is under a romantic light, then why did IH and RR need further development? Weren’t the endgame pairs perfectly clear?
Also, both those points are in my original post.  I do mention the platonic aspect of IchiRuki and I do say that IH and RR needed a lot more development.
It's the peak of mauvaise foi for you to show us yoruichi telling ichigo to say something nice to orihime and not show those like 6 panels of him blushing out of his mind
Mauvaise foi??? Are we talking about the intent to deceive here, or Sartrean existentialism?????? Because either way, how on earth does it apply? Did I maliciously neglect to show some sort of huge moment in IH development? Because let me tell ya, Ichigo blushing at the sight of Rukia’s ass doesn’t really rank high in a list of top IR moments, either. I’d be surprised if it even makes the top 20.  It’s little more than icing, because the rest of the cake is already there.
Ichigo blushing at the sight of Orihime’s outfit isn’t exactly the best pro-IH argument, because this isn’t the first time he’s blushed at the sight of a pretty girl/woman showing some skin:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If blushing is meant to be interpreted as a surefire sign of actual affection and not the result of being a 17-year-old boy in the presence of sexiness, get ready for IchiRukiRanYoruHime, y’all. And they say Harem Anime is unrealistic.
But you know what?  The Orihime moment is unique in a very obvious way: Ichigo didn’t even notice Orihime’s outfit until Chad brought it to his attention, which is precisely the point.
You’ll notice I didn’t use the panel of Ichigo looking at Rukia’s ass and juxtapose the two in my original post, because that would’ve been pointless.  There is a reason I chose that panel of Yoruichi and it’s two-fold: 1) the post you read was the third response in a series of asks I got about Ichigo being teased about Orihime, and 2) the Yoruichi incident, just like the Chad incident before it, is an example of ‘telling.’
Ichigo’s friends need to constantly draw his attention to Orihime because he’s not doing it on his own.  If he was in love with Orihime, he should have been paying attention to her without anyone having to pester him into it. Up until the final arc, Ichigo is completely oblivious to her and her feelings unless they’re the only two people in a room or she’s directly talking to him (the scene where she heals him in SS and tears up comes to mind, or the one directly post the Aizen fight before he collapses).
And it shouldn’t be this way for a guy who’s in love with a girl, even if he doesn’t yet realize it (since you mentioned ‘latent’ feelings).  She should be the first person he notices in a group, the person he singles out.  That would be showing.  The only time this ever happens is after they meet up with Ishida and Ichigo notices Orihime crying.  And it’s too little too late by that point for someone who, as you claim, has liked her for a while now.  If you want to argue that Ichigo has only just started falling for Orihime around chapter 661, that I can understand and get behind, even though I’m not a fan of the ship.
I never claimed all those moments you talk about in the Lust arc are meaningless.  I can’t speak for the bulk of the fandom, but I’ve always believed Ichigo cares deeply about Orihime.  That much is undeniable.  But the reason I never thought of this affection as romantic is because it’s not followed through in the story until the very end.  Ichigo would die for every single one of his friends; his rushing to HM to save Orihime has no romantic connotations (just like the act of his rushing to SS to save Rukia is not romantic when examined in a vacuum).  But every time Ichigo and Orihime had a moment in the series, it wasn’t ever shown to change his feelings.
I mean, hell, when he carries Orihime in the HM arc, her ass is literally next to his face and there isn’t a blush in sight.
Tumblr media
Have fun trying to picture Ishida in the exact same scenario, guys.  I know I did
Orihime, who actually, canonically likes Ichigo, is blushing like no-one’s business, while Ichigo is all: “Bruh, this is the quickest way.” He just casually picks her up like it’s no big deal, when before he rescued Rukia in SS, the friggin’ dork just stood there with the flames of the Sōkyoku blazing behind him, grinning at her like an idiot and trying to look cool. Which is exactly the kind of crap teenage boys pull to impress the girls they like.
Even after that moment in the Lust arc of Ichigo being brought back by Orihime’s voice (which I know is very big with IH shippers) nothing changes in the way Ichigo sees her.  When he activates his Fullbring, Rukia is still the person he singles out, even after he literally rose from the dead to save Orihime.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is what I mean by “Show, don’t tell.” In a properly developed romance, the climax of the Ulquiorra fight should’ve been the start of Ichigo at the very least starting to pay more attention to Orihime.
We get all this panel time of Orihime thinking about Ichigo, talking about her feelings for Ichigo, but nothing on his side.  He’s the friggin’ protagonist.  He should’ve spent at least some time thinking about Orihime without anyone having to push him into it.  It wouldn’t even have to be explicitly romantic like it was with Orihime, all Kubo needed to do to show his changing feelings was to occasionally show Ichigo thinking about her.  The only time I can ever recall him specifically doing so was to point out that her powers had grown and that was always after either talking to her or watching her in action.
You said it yourself: IH and RR needed more development.  And that’s the problem right there.  Ichigo and Rukia could’ve jumped straight into a romance almost immediately post Yhwach fight and even people who don’t like the pairing couldn’t have claimed they needed more development.  Even in the RR novel, Ichigo and Orihime don’t get together until 3 years post war.
I can picture Ichigo and Orihime growing closer and Ichigo falling in love with her at some point after 684.  What I don’t see and never have is evidence of that romance from his side in the manga. The fact that they got married isn’t in itself proof of Ichigo having been in love with her from the start, it’s proof that he’s in love with her now and has been since whenever it was they started dating.
Kubo did not separate ichigo and rukia in order to push for ichihime . He separated them because from a story telling point of view their relationship reached its narrative end at the end of the fullbring arc .
Oh, that is complete bullcrap and you know it.  Setting aside pairings for a moment, can you honestly tell me that when you thought of the final showdown in Bleach you pictured Ichigo, Aizen and Renji with a dash of last-minute Ishida thrown in?
I’ve seen posts from IH fans rejoicing in “Kubo trolling the IR fandom” and talking about how he deliberately kept Ichigo and Rukia apart, or made certain choices just to spite the fandom.  You can’t have it both ways, claiming that Kubo merely followed the narrative one day, then saying he did it on purpose the next one. It’s one or the other, can’t be both.
Kubo himself called Rukia the protagonist of the Shinigami side and she wasn’t there for any of the confrontations against Yhwach.  Orihime, at least, fought alongside Ichigo in the first one, but Rukia was completely sidelined.  ‘From a story telling point of view,’ she deserved to be there instead of Renji, but since Kubo was pressed for time, he had Renji join Ichigo on his own so they could have a talk on the way there and cement RR.  Renji literally did nothing in the final battle, unlike Aizen and Ishida.  It could’ve been anyone but Ishida in his place and the result would’ve been exactly the same.  There was no reason for him to be there on his own other than to talk about his reconciliation with Rukia.  Which was a lovely moment, but it could’ve happened at literally any other time.  Orihime wouldn’t have been left alone, either, if Rukia had joined them: the Fullbringers were all there to stay with her.
Kubo didn’t have the time to do a full-on nakama fight, so he gave Orihime her moment earlier on; shat all over Chad; shoehorned Ishida in because this was kinda his arc after all, oopsie; used Renji as canon fodder, and devoted a full chapter on Aizen swinging his dick Kyōka Suigetsu around.  But no Rukia.
Because you know, just as well as I do, that if she had been there for the end, fighting alongside Ichigo (since a group fight wasn’t feasible), the negative reaction to the ending would’ve been ten times as bad.

@pageoflore
Well, you told me to be brief, I shall be brief.
PS. I’m doing this on my own post so the OP can’t delete my reblog.
1. It doesn’t matter if op was “mean” about the headcanon, it doesn’t diminish the fact that you brought up blatant transphobic points, such as implying that queer headcanons cause people to become “dependent” and prone to lashing out. You’ve mentioned these points multiple times when dealing with people with queer headcanons. The fact that you’re unwilling to acknowledge that queer people get ticked off at other fans because of their queerphobia, that their anger is perfectly understandable and provoked, doesn’t mean that it’s not true.
Hey, here’s some facts on trans representation in media:
http://pacificcenter.org/trans-representation-in-the-media
2. Heterophobia does not exist in the same way that homophobia does. Heterophobia is born out of actual fear of getting murdered and homophobia is when bigots hate and want to diminish queer folks. When there have been hundreds of years of The Straights being murdered, experimented on, sexually assaulted, and socially outcast purely because of who they love, then you can fucking get back to me you little shit.
Compulsory homosexuality also isn’t a fucking thing that actually exists, while compulsory heterosexuality is well established https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compulsory_heterosexuality
https://www.goodtherapy.org/blog/psychpedia/compulsory-heterosexuality - for the exact same reasons. Nobody is gonna arrest you for not shipping gay ships, even if you’ve let your alt-right buddies brainwash you into thinking so.
3. The post not only humanizes a man who is the face of genocide, but it implies that everyone has the capacity for the amount of hatred and cruelty needed to orchestrate the extermination of an entire ethnic minority. By agreeing with that post, you’re diminishing the horror that Hitler and his men committed.
4. If you actually read your sources you would know they’re alt-right - Breitbart in particular has been in the news lately because Bannon was advising the president for a time. So either you did read them and knew damn well what they were or you were pulling any random source that would support your points, which makes you the liar here, bud. Btw, here’s another time you pulled from alt right/far right sources to prove your point. Showing that you continue to be biased
https://knightofbalance-13.tumblr.com/post/163935557185/httpssokumotanakatumblrcompost163928898054r#notes
5. Assuming that any queer people that have lgbt head canons are inherently more likely to react violently is aggressively queerphobic. Like do I even have to explain why calling people with trans headcanons delusional and unstable is fucking awful? I will, by equating trans headcanons with instability and mental illness, you’re being transphobic
6. Humor that punches down, which you’ve defended, is shown through studies to be a gateway for other oppressive acts, and humor in general is used to define social groups and point out “outcasts” that make the group more cohesive. By defending stereotyping humor, you’re saying that censorship is more terrible than racism.

As for why I’m specifically addressing your posting history and political alignment, it’s because I want to be quite clear on the fact that I don’t detest you arbitrarily or because you have “different opinions~”. You’ve repeatedly shown yourself to be a bigot with no intention of allowing others to educate you on things outside your scope of reference. That’s why no one who is actually familiar with your behavior can stand you, unless they’re also already steeped in this bullshit.
So now that we have that out of the way, let us continue with this fuckery.
2. You’ve shown far more tendency to stalk, belittle, humiliate, and attempt to control others than anyone - in the rwde tag or otherwise. I’ve personally witnessed you attack people over minor phrasing or opinions different from yours, completely unprovoked and out of the blue. Admittedly members of the RWDE tag can be abrasive in their opinions, but generally speaking they stick to the tag and don’t really go out of their way to bother people unless they’re being shitheads. Case in point, tbh.
Also you have admitted yourself to creating sideblogs in order to circumvent people block you, in order to bait people into agreeing with sockpuppets spewing suicide-baiting behavior, and in order to have arguments with yourself. Which I guess is necessary since you couldn’t argue your way out of a paper bag.
Here’s links to your alt accounts, btw:

https://shadecritic3.tumblr.com/post/158646451814/corn-on-the-kob-sounds-like-hes-just-starving-for#notes
4. As a final comment, not everyone who disagrees with me is a bigot! However you personally? You’re an asshole, and you have absolutely no sense of nuance. You have zero grasp of what it means to belong to a minority, which is ironic as fuck considering how much you love using your autism as a shield while at the same time implying that others’ mental health makes them unreliable and dangerous.
“RWDE” as a tag is not moderated or controlled by anyone, and though most regulars take care to call people out when they’re assholes, there’s nothing we can do if people choose to use the tag. You, on the other hand, have full control over who you follow and what you choose to reblog. This is just a thought, a suggestion, but maybe fucking look closer to home and start knighting on yourself before you try preaching to anyone else you little shit.
Oh and just in case anyone is confused about whether or not you’re a huge piece of shit, here’s you talking about pedophilia with your usual charm, grace, and sense of morality.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that with how media impacts us in reality and how pedophiles groom children that AdultxMinor ships can be used to harm minors involved in fandom culture by sexual predators. Also, since I don’t deal with pedophile apologists, don’t expect anymore responses from me.
Take all of this...and throw it in the trash. It has nothing to do with the topic at hand and is in fact a form of logical fallacy. Three in one in fact: “Poisoning the well” (The points about the “alt-right” sources when they give one example playing of people’s hatred of Trump when in fact there is no proof that said adviser approved anything viewed as alt-right Trump has done), “moving the goalposts” (The entire first part of the post) and “Ad Hominin” ( the first ahlf of the post, and pounts 2 and 4.) Within these are the three uses of fact manipulation by RWDE: Lie, Cheat and Misinform. (Lie: Saying that I made transphobic statements in the link, talking about a post that “humanizes” Hitler when actually it was showing he just did stuff normal people did, doing nothing about his crimes, Saying that I was talking about queer peopelw hen my posts were about people who obsess over headcanons to the point that’s all they talk about. Cheat: not reblogging this directly as to manipulate the facts more easily as well as calling all my sources as alt-right simple because one person advised Trump and not showing how they acted alt-right, let alone showing how the other sources were “alt-right.” Misinform: Talking about how I was defending pedophiles when I was actually defending media and saying that the people (AKA the pedophiles) should be the ones punished and locked away, not the media itself.)
All you should take from this that out of about 15 points, only two even remotely pertain to the original two posts. For the math, they spent 86.7% of the post attacking me instead of addressing the points I original made. That is how little is actually here. Now this isn’t for my benefits: I could go in depth and totally deconstruct
So let’s address the actual points shall we?
1. You admittedly didn’t become a fan of the show until after Monty died. You don’t know what M&K or other members of the RT crew have or have not historically said and done. You’re completely unaware of the various developments the fandom as a whole has gone through, both purely as a fandom and in our relationship with the creators. Why you think you can know everything that has gone on and is going on in the fandom is anyone’s guess.
Research. I’ve asked people and looked back through the history of fandom as well as drawn upon long term fans of the show to see what was going on. I know for a fact that the LGBT character was never promised in a specific volume. I can also show that Miles, the one accused of being egotistical the most, has shown modesty and humility, thus disproving or at least casting very severe the whole argument about RT being egoistical isn’t true.
3. Every bit of criticism we’ve given, even in the beginning has been met with a handwave and then was ignored. From the queerbaity “Just wait for it, it needs to feel earned, it needs to be natural.” to the pretty racist “Here’s some more poc characters, one is a villain and a few are heroes but it won’t matter because none of them will get any lines after this” to the white fang plotline which is a complete dumpster fire - though there are others who have covered that better and more in depth than I have. Also, if you have any proof that Miles is actually listening and implementing things because of criticism, I would like to see that.
A. That is limiting their creative freedom and freedom should never be waved for anything aside from physical harm.
B. That is racist thinking that because a racial minority is villain means it’s racist, especially since 1. not every person who fails under your generalization as a few of people who fit under that classification have called you out and numerous others have not aid a word against it thus it comes across as “these people don’t count because they don’t fit the mold I think they should fit” and 2. Thinking that racial minorities can’t play any role other than the “perfect, can do no worn, center of attention” hero and thus preventing them from being realistic and good. Also, POC stands for Peoplel of Color. Which is Colored People backwards, the same title that these groups were getting called back in the days of blatant racism. Good job there.
C. Jaune Arc getting less and less focus with each Volume. he went from having an arc in Volume 1 to sharingan arc with Pyrrha and Blake in Volume 2 to being a plot/angst device in Volume 3 to being built up only to have Jaune push away all of his build up to make Ruby look good in Volume 4. You all just refuse to acknowledge it and focus solely on him, which ironically makes you all sexist by your own logic.
The fact that only two points of yours, 13.3% of your post, is actually about addressing my points and the rets is trying to attack me personally shows how little you actually have against me. And what little you have is easily debunked.
You claim that I am a pedo apologizer but judging by your arguments, what you actually mean is “Um...I have nothing to actually so....PEDOPHILE!” which is an example of Godwin’s law which states that when you use a universal insult against someone, you’ve pretty much consceded the argument. In fact, it should have ended the minute you called me alt-right AKA a Neo Nazi, showing that you just keep trying lob more and more labels onto me because I disagree with you and you can’t prove me wrong. Just as I have said in the past.
