Episode 61 BSD spoilers ofc xoxo
I know a lot of people are upset at Fyodor's death this episode, but can we all just remember that this was probably one of the better options that could have happened of all the options?
I always knew that Fyodor would die - it was just a definite thing I had in my head. He couldn't stay alive like Fitzgerald, that's not the way his character is. He's too much of a danger to everyone else when he's alive. I thought this was a pretty great ending to his life, it's not perfect but it is? I don't know. Something about burning in the flames and succumbing to them in the vehicle you were supposed to escape in after being fooled by a cheap party trick.
For all the people saying "But Fyodor's the smartest character in BSD! How could he be fooled by Chuuya just pretending to be a vampire?"
May I remind you of the fact that Fukuchi fooled Ranpo? You know, the one who's known for never being wrong and solving things like this constantly? Because even when Mushitarou used his ability, the same ability that has hidden thousands and thousands of esteemed criminals with deplorable crimes to their name, and not one person has been able to find them, Ranpo was still able to solve it with only a few clues.
Yet due to his unwavering trust and faith in Fukuzawa, that led to him being completely oblivious to Fukuchi being Kamui. He didn't think that he'd need to look beneath the surface level, because Fukuzawa trusts him so much. He never thought that he'd need to look any further.
The same goes for Fyodor and Chuuya.
Fyodor isn't the smartest character in the series, nor is he meant to be! He's simply just one of the smartest. He can still be outwitted by the rest. Not everyone can win everything every single time. Eventually, no matter how good you are at chess, someone else will beat you.
Anyways lol.
We don't even know how Fyodor got Chuuya to Meursault, or how he had proof that he'd turned him into a vampire. Of course, it will all be revealed soon, but disregarding that for a second.
Chuuya has broken into Meursault after Fyodor tells him to, mowing down all the guards and killing them all and saving Fyodor's ass from getting shot or being thrown back into jail. It all adds up in Fyodor's head so far. Chuuya says nothing, only growls, hisses, and screams. Typical vampire. (Other than his weird yowl LMAOOO)
Nothing is fishy to Fyodor yet. Chuuya is helping him and doing as he says. Then, they both get almost drowned by Dazai. Again, this is all pointing to the fact that he is not on Dazai's side if Dazai is actively putting him in his plans to kill Fyodor too.
Fyodor assumes that their bond is shallow and fragile, easily breakable if he presses down hard enough and severs the knot, which is what hes trying to do. He teases Dazai because, in his head, it's a one-sided relationship in SKK.
Fyodor doesn't understand human emotions well. He sees people as pawns and is not afraid to use them to get what he wants. But he is different from Dazai in the way he thinks about them. He dislikes humans; he thinks they're sinful and boring and a waste of his time, whereas Dazai thinks humans are fascinating and complicated and wonderful. Fyodor does not see the appeal. Which is what separates him from Dazai. Fyodor uses the people around him until he has no use for them anymore, tossing them aside. He has no regard for their feelings, and anyone he associates with he automatically tries to see what he can get from them and what he can do with them. Dazai does not. Dazai uses people as a means to help the Agency, or to save someone else, or to get information on how to not let the fucking world end, and the character development is wild.
Dazai used to be much more like Fyodor than he is now. He was cold, ruthless, and heartless back then. Whilst Dazai still sees no point in living and wishes to die, and he sees no point in anything, he has still grown more compassionate and a lot more self-aware and he has become capable of more emotion and wanting to save people thanks to Oda. Yes, he still doesn't really care about much, but he genuinely does care about those closest to him and saving and protecting them.
That is why Fyodor couldn't understand - he didn't know just how much trust Soukoku had between each other. He underestimated the bond between them. How much they rely on each other, and always have, for seven years. He thought he had Chuuya under his thumb this entire time, but Chuuya had bested him and tricked him.
This also just goes to show Chuuya's intelligence that a lot of people seem to forget. This type of shit will come easy to Chuuya - he's a Mafia executive for a reason, God damn it. He can lie, he can manipulate, he can be sly and cunning and discreet and careful. He's not a fool, he knows how dire this situation is. And so of course he's going to put his all into a completely fool-proof performance. He literally fooled us, and we're the ones shouting at Dostoevsky for underestimating Soukoku's bond.
But see? This is precisely why this was a suitable "death" for him. (I'm only saying "death" in quotes because you never fucking know with this series.)
Burned in the flames of hellfire as he perishes with the thought that he was completely beaten.
I made a post a while ago about how Fyodor's downfall was going to be how he thought he was too untouchable, how everything is simply but a trial for him and how he is the messenger of God, forcing his will onto other people and just spreading what is God's plan to wipe the world of sinners. How cocky he gets in his own way about his intelligence. How he underestimates, undermines and belittles the people around him because he genuinely thinks that they're worth nothing more than a pebble on the ground to him. He has no empathy or compassion that we've seen so far. He tricked Sigma and stabbed him with absolutely no remorse despite them being in the DOA together. Nikolai was happy to see him out of prison, and he pretty much just blanked him and went straight to the topic at hand, despite apparently having all the time in the world to kill (not really he needed the antidote not to die tbf lol). His downfall was the very thing that sets him apart from the others and typically gives him the upper hand - lack of regret, compassion or empathy or remorse. He was prepared to (and did!) kill children. He lobotomized two people. He manipulates everyone.
I really don't think that Fyodor's story is over at all, but I do think he's actually dead. Maybe not though. As I said, you never fucking know with this series.
Anyways. My point in this post was the fact that whilst we're all upset about his death (well, not all?), it was suitable. You can't complain about BSD not having the balls to kill off any characters, and then when it does, complain that a character has died. Or that "Well, it should have been somebody in the Agency." And what logic would that bring to the table? What would an Agency member dying accomplish? Atsushi is the protagonist, so he's off the table. Things would be very fucked up if Yosano died because then none of them could survive the shit they get themselves into. We don't know enough of Kunikida's history for him to go, plus he's the next leader of the ADA, plus his story is not finished, plus it wouldn't give us anything but grief if he was to die. If Ranpo died, that would also be a big no no, because it would only possibly send Fukuzawa into some sort of corruption arc, and it would crumble the foundations of the Agency, considering he and Fukuzawa are the two founders and he was the first member, and the Agency was made for him. Kenji, I don't see any point in killing our guy off. Leave him alone <3 Kyouka, maybe. She seems, I guess, slightly reasonable. Give Atsushi something more to fight for. Give him reasons to go feral, give him something to be absolutely fucking distraught about. But after that... then what? What would her death bring but grievances to Atsushi? Tanizaki, also no point in killing him off. They'd lose a valuable ability that could get them out of so much shit, Asagiri wouldn't kill him off like that, especially when we hardly know anything about him.
And for people saying "Dazai should have died instead."
That would be really fucking unreasonable - we still have far too many unanswered questions and loose ends. Atsushi would lose his mentor and obviously not handle it well. What about Akutagawa? Kunikida? Chuuya?
Dazai is such an integral part of BSD and an integral part of Atsushi's life - my one hope whilst waiting for the newest episode was that Asagiri wouldn't kill Dazai because there was no logical reasoning behind it. Yes, it would cause some great angst, but if he died, it would have actually just been the turning point for this conflict to get worse. Fyodor would have escaped, and then what? The world would have been wiped, because I guarantee you even if that wasn't Fukuchi's plan, it sure as hell was Fyodor's and he gets what he wants. If Dazai had actually genuinely died, what happens to Chuuya who has to look at his partner's lifeless body in front of him and is like "I did that." If he was a vampire through this and came back when Aya pulled the sword out, imagine what the fuck would have happened when he saw what he'd done. We all remember him going absolutely fucking feral and off the rails in Beast, and he hadn't even killed him there. Chuuya comes to, looks at the gun in his hand, looks at the dead partner of 7 years in front of him bleeding out. My safest bet is that he'd use corruption. But, Dazai is dead. He can't nullify it. Fyodor is escaping on the helicopter. Sigma is still in that room unconscious. Nikolai is doing God knows what he can teleport and shit. Chuuya unleashes corruption, destroys himself and the building, and Fyodor is far away and so is Nikolai, and Sigma is caught in this wreck. That's three important characters all killed in one swoop, whilst the "bad guy" escapes and is free to enact his plan without them hindering it.
?!
I'd rather not see that ending of BSD I can't lie to you <3 (However, I do want an angsty SKK scene of Chuuya going batshit insane at realising what he's done whilst he's been controlled and used as a puppet which is fucking awful for him... maybe I would like to see a little snippet of what this world would be like. Anyways.)
Sorry this got SO off-topic.
MY POINT BEING FYODOR'S DEATH WAS ALWAYS GOING TO HAPPEN.
TL;DR: Fyodor's death was always going to happen. It was inevitable.
He's been likened to Jesus so much throughout this series. He's a messenger of God and God puts him through so much suffering, and so many trials, and he sees it all as a simple test that he'll be sure to overcome. He's so blinded by his faith and his Jesus Complex that he can't see where he goes wrong or where he has failed because he's so sure that he can win and doesn't understand human emotions and underestimates everyone around him therefore leading to his demise and being fooled by Soukoku, who he doesn't understand the bond between because he doesn't look beneath the surface of anything intwined with complex emotions.
An angsty outlook would be that Fyodor may be scared of emotions because he doesn't feel them, and therefore takes the approach of "what you don't know can hurt you" and he's afraid of what he doesn't know, much like Dazai. But hey that's just my brain wanting to be scratched and itched the right way and making all my favourite characters tragic.
ANYWAYS goddamn this was so long-winded to just say that.
I hope everyone has a lovely day/night <3

'TechPhee is rushed'
Nothing has been rushed because literally nothing has happened! The closest they've come is an awkward not-goodbye after an episode clearly showing them circling one another. What's there to have been rushed??? Phee attempting to express interest and Tech completely missing it? How do you rush the ground level, absolute first step of a romantic interaction?
'Phee needs more characterization'
Definitely! And yet somehow that's not a reason to not ship her with Fennec, whom she's never even met (that we know of), or Cid, who she's been on screen with for about 1/10 as much time as Tech. Those are the 'better' canon options for her despite little to no interaction with them. How does that make more sense than Tech??
'She was neurotypical at Tech in their last scene. '
As we all know, neurotypical people are immediately aware of how to interact with ND/autistic people, they're all taught from an early age about the differences, how to spot them, etc. <sage nod>
I'll come clean; what I saw in this scene was two people misunderstanding one another. That the reason is Phee is probably neurotypical was likely the root cause, but an autistic person in her position probably would have ALSO been frustrated, they'd simply have expressed it differently. Are you going to tell me any two autistic people are automatically better at communicating because, do I have news for you...
Phee is mildly concerned they're running off in the night, prods at Tech a little. Tech doesn't know what she wants/expects, so he offers her a briefing, which to him makes perfect sense. That's how you tell someone what your mission is about! But to Phee, it comes across as a distancing, a pushing away, which is why she reacts so negatively IMO. They've been there for, what, probably a month or more, helping rebuild after the tsunami, integrating into the community, and there's no goodbyes or anything, just a 'briefing'. So it upsets her, this cutting off that she perceives. Which is of course not at all what it is, just the entire Batch has literally no experience with telling friends/non-combatants 'going on a risky mission with little chance of returning, wish us luck!', and definitely Tech doesn't if his body language is any indication. (And yet he was standing outside the ship...)
And she tries to get through to him in the way she knows how, which obviously fails--you can practically SEE him thinking 'what does that MEAN' when she talks about not running off. What she means is, 'come back to us, to ME, in one piece'. But hey, she has her own reasons for being careful and not putting herself too out there, it's just Tech has zero context for her wording.
At which point she seems to realize there's still a long way to go in getting to know one another, in coming to an understanding about the differences in how they experience life and express themselves. So she stops, lets it go. They can discuss how friends--good ones, at least--do not go on do or die missions without at least an 'I hope I can come back' once they return. (*cough*)
I don't know how this scene could have gone differently without an implication of a lot of interactions happening which addressed some of their differences. Which would be the 'rushing' people are accusing the ship of--and it literally isn't implied! At all!! If anything this scene plays right into need to slow roll things. It's like the writing can't win; either it's rushed, in which case omg lazy writing, or Phee is being horrible to Tech for not knowing how to interact with him in more personal moments despite them still determining where they stand.
The expectation that Phee handle Tech 'more carefully' in this scene is both racist in its assumptions about her and infantalizing to Tech. Sure, she could have done better, but she didn't exactly do him some sort of irreparable harm, any more than Hunter did when saying Tech can talk for hours on a subject. But Phee is a black woman and suddenly the expectation she perform this interaction perfectly as acceptable by every fan (NT/allistic or not) is the only way for the ship to be even moderately acceptable.
No one says you have to like the ship or be remotely interested in it, but attributing characteristics to it that it clearly doesn't have reveals a need to negate it, to declare you're correct in not liking it.
You can just not like it. But claiming things with no actual basis in the writing or canon looks really suspicious.

The only interesting new character in Dawntrail and they didn't let me spend any real time with him.
I finished the Dawntrail MSQ last night and feel compelled to write up my thoughts. Even though the spoiler embargo has been lifted, I'm still putting it under a cut because I'm not an asshole.
The TLDR is I hated it from beginning to end and if whatever they're going to set up for the next expansion over the patch content doesn't seem at least as good my previous least liked expansion I'm quitting the game entirely.
I'm going to start all the way back in 6.55.
They introduce this new character who is naive and impulsive. They tell me I'm going to have to help her earn the right to rule a country. I'm like, "Okay, we're doing Lyse's arc again, but but this time we're doing it with a stranger instead of a friend."
In a cut scene someone (I forget who and I'm not going to check right now), asks why we should support Wuk Lamat in the rite of succession and the answer she gives is that there is a candidate who must not be allowed to win and that's just automatically accepted as a good enough reason. But it's not a good enough reason! All I've been given is a reason to oppose the person she mentioned. I have no reason or desire to help this woman in particular.
Lyse may have been dumb compared to the rest of the Scions, but she was still a smart woman with excellent leadership potential that she just needed a little direction to realize. And she was a friend. Of course I would want to help her.
Wut Lamat at this point is a useless idiot without a lick of leadership potential. She loves her people, sure, but that's not enough to make a good ruler. Add on top of that that she's a complete stranger... I just don't understand why it has to be her bid that I sign on to support and not someone else's. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
This being a linear game, I'm of course not permitted to refuse the contract that I would 100% have chosen to refuse if I were allowed to play my character the way she exists in my head. So I'm already irritated before the credits roll. But then they do roll and the post credits scene sets up the "friendly rivalry" arc. I find that trope boring and annoying at the best of times, but the fact that they specifically cast Thancred, the literal reason I play the game, in that role made it absolutely infuriating. I nearly quit right then and there.
As the months went by, I was able to calm myself down and console myself with the assumption that I would at least get to spend more time with Kryle and get to know her better over the course of Dawntrail. She's not my favorite character, but that's mostly because we haven't really spent much time with her beyond tactical discussions. And she's still more interesting than Wuk Lamat so I was looking forward to getting to know her better.
What little thought I gave to the "tournament" (another trope I'm not fond of) and "friendly rivaly" arcs led me to conclude that the "tournament" would end with two victors, meaning the "friendly rivalry" would end with a team up.
Then Dawntrail actually dropped and... well... I spent the first few quests yelling at my screen every time they made me act happy and/or excited about things that I was actually upset and/or disinterested during a cut scene. I told Estinien to shut the fuck up when he said the line I knew was going to force me into another one of those annoying duels I hate. (I did enjoy finally being given the option to say "I don't want to fight you," when that duel finally came up. Even though it was interpreted as a "I don't think you'll be a challenge" instead of the "I don't enjoy these things" that I meant.)
Then we finally got into the meat of the game and are introduced to the contenders. The moment they introduced Koana I was like, "Oh look. He actually has a plan that goes beyond 'win the throne.' He's a bit closed off, which is unfortunate, but I do see a hint of leadership potential under there. I want to switch sides." Of course, I wasn't allowed to do that even though the only thing it would have changed about the story is my enjoyment of it. I'm getting ahead of myself again.
On with the rite of succession and I quickly realize the only character I'm going to be allowed to spend any time with is my annoying dumb ass of a client. Farewell to my hopes of getting to know Kryle better.
When the rivalry really kicked off in that one cut scene and then the first dungeon, I was so enraged I couldn't see to do the mechanics of the dungeon properly. Then I struggled to sleep that night. Then I woke up still angry. I tried to continue with the MSQ that day, But every time Thancred showed up I got angry again. I was slightly more calm, but still angry the day after that, so I decided to ignore MSQ for a few days until I fully calmed down. It took 3 days of not touching the story before I was able to continue. Then the rivalry just... stopped being a thing. It was never addressed and never resolved. Which only makes it worse.
Around that point, I started to realize that during the little bit of screen time that was given over to anyone other than Wuk Lamat, all of the Scions felt out of character. Thancred got the worst of it, but even my beloathed G'raha Tia felt off when he eventually showed up. It gave the impression that the writer of Dawntrail assumed that every one was going to fall so in love with their brand new cat girl that they'd suddenly stop caring about all of the characters that they've spent the previous 5 games getting to know and love, so why not just treat them as set dressing.
Anyway. I go through the "tournament arc" expecting my annoying client to grow into the role she's obviously going to win because she hired me. But she doesn't. She has no character growth whatsoever and is the exact same person at then end of the arc as she was when we first met. The only smart decision she ever made was asking Koana to rule with her. Koana, on the other hand, did learn to open up and is on the path to becoming a good leader. But he did it off screen and it's just too bad if you wanted to witness that journey yourself.
Anyway, the rite of succession ended exactly the way I thought it was going to and it felt like nothing I did mattered. So off I go with Erenville on what I call "the intermission." I did actually enjoy this part. I liked Erenville when he was introduced in Endwalker and thought he was underused in that expansion, so it was nice spending a little bit of time with him.
Then the invasion happened and I was right back to being bored and annoyed. I'm forced to spend more time with my annoying client who does not understand that she paid for my sword, not my friendship, and my sword is all she got. Only this time I have to do it while surrounded by an aesthetic I cannot stand.
It was around this time I realized I'd gone from savior of the universe, to side character in the span of one expansion. It all kind of just washed over me from this point on. It was so boring and I was surrounded by things and characters that I hate, so I just stopped giving it my full attention. Until...
I got to the level 100 quests when I finally... Finally! got to learn a little bit about my friend Kryle and her history. Then it was over a quest and a half later.
Final dungeon. Final trial. Oh look! I'm finally rid of my annoying client. I matter again! Halfway through the trial my annoying client returns. Fuck you Square. The end.
In the entire expansion, the only time anything interesting happened, it happened in a "Meanwhile..." cut scene. I would briefly get excited to explore that interesting thing, and then the plot turned its back on it and ignored it for a minimum of 4 quests. I knew going in that I wasn't going to like this expansion very much, so I set my bar on the ground and they still failed to clear it. They tunneled 10 feet under it instead.

I'm very divided about the car thing, don't know what to think. With so many engineers from mercedes coming it seems to me they're will be building for lewis, which makes me concerned. Yes charles is adaptable but we saw this year, once the car got the update in japan that made him more confortable he became a beast and carlos had no chance.
So i'm concerned about 2026 because I know lewis have a preference for understeer and if they're taking his input more serious idk how it will be. At the same time, would they put all their cards in the guy who is in his forties?
I don't believe ferrari will demote charles to second driver tho, and make him just help lewis win the title. I think they will give the chance of them both trying and honestly? I'm putting my cards on charles in this one.
I hear your concerns anon. And I'm with you. I am also worried about all these things. Two things can happen in 2026 regarding the car:
Under the cut again because idk how to stop talking
1. The car is made with Lewis in mind (understeer)
This would undoubtedly be not ideal for Charles. Yes, he managed to beat Carlos in an understeer car but that's Carlos, not Lewis. In this case I have to put it down as Lewis having the upper hand and potentially fighting for a title.
But we have to consider a few more things: would this understeer car be as bad as the 2023 car? NO. Understeery cars can be fast understeer does not equal slow. It is not just understeer and oversteer that make the car. You mentioned Charles shinging at the end of this year and the car was still the understeery. It didn't magically become oversteer. Yes, they brought updates that suited him but ultimately it was Charles who drove the car. Charles can adapt. Give him some credit. I know we love to bash that the car was bad this and that but once Charles does good we imminently write it off to "the car did that" no. Charles did that in 2023. Because he is a monster who can drive anything he gets out in his hands. With a fast understeery car? I believe he Can still be a beast. Because he is a good driver. Drivers who can not adapt to other styles are the problem. If we say Charles can't drive a car that doesn't suit him we put him in the same category as Those guys. I'd rather not do that.
2. The car is made with Charles in mind (oversteer)
Just copy everything I said in the other category and put it here with the names the other way around. It's Lewis Hamilton. He can drive and be good in any car. Saying anything different would be disrespectful.
There is however a third option and this one is the most likely
3. The car is made to be fast considering both drivers feedback
This one is the most plausible one if you ask me. Does a fast car in the new regulations mean oversteer? Fine it can be oversteery. Does Lewis have feedback that will make the car faster? Great even better for Charles. We are going into this thinking Lewis feedback will somehow make the car slower for Charles (because we have been burnt) but again, Lewis is not Carlos. His feedback does not automatically mean an undeliverable car. Mercedes has made dominating cars for 7 years with his feedback. Give him some credit. With his AND Charles' feedback? What a beast of a car we will have.
Also there's still the possibility that they will listen to the feedback of the guy that did better in 2025 and since I am sure Charles will best him in 2025 I have no worries.
Thank you for sending me anons and discussing with me its very nice to see what other people think about the same topics I wrack my brain with 24/7 ❤️

(From @nobody33333333's poll about which characters it would be interesting to see under Curtain's Happiness Brainwashing)
This is such a good point!! All of these characters would be extremely intriguing to see, because it would say so much about their personalities!! Kind of like how you only miss something when it's already gone, there's a lot about each of them that wouldn't be easy to notice until they start acting different.
(Other options included Kate, Reynie, Sticky, Martina, and Cannonball)
Cannonball would be a lot less intense, so I think he'd be alright with the concept of stowaways and wouldn't be angry at seeing the kids again or anything. But I bet he never stops using nautical terms all the live long day. He starts a knot tying club/class and then it progresses into artistic macrame. He's honestly probably having a great time except for the fact that he's brainwashed and possibly going to go catatonic.
The most fun thing in my opinion would be S. Q. being forced to be happy, because while initially it might come off as innocent, like Mr. Benedict, it would quickly escalate into horror movie levels of creepy. Excessive positiveness goes against his personality so much, and he's such an attentive kid that him being all oblivious and passive would be wildly uncomfortable. (There are so many points that could be used in a multitude of ways in this scenario and I definitely agree that it would be great to read about it)
Even without the threat of going catatonic, any of the children getting brainwashed would be incredibly sad because of how much it changes them. In a way, it could be pushed as sadly ironic, since most of them had some kind of wish at one time or another to be more "normal" and be able to make friends, and this would technically give them that.
Martina is a whole other story, because while I don't think she'd be compliant even when she was Happy (Her passion is too much to be contained by Curtain's tricks and she'd probably start a tetherball team at the compound), she is probably highly susceptible to it because of how insecure she is. She puts a lot of pressure on herself to be perfect enough to win her parents' attention, and she is also struggling at that point with not fitting in with her new team.
Garrison definitely needs some relaxation, but I think she's too smart to fall for it for long. She helped invent half of Curtain's ideas, I doubt she doesn't know how the whole process works inside and out. She might decide to surrender to it just so that she doesn't have to be engaged with his harebrained scheme.
Jeffers, on the other hand. He would definitely be under it in a heartbeat, and, honestly? It might actually make him more competent at his job because he's not constantly seeking Curtain's approval.
I actually think that it would be kind of neat to see Jackson and Jillson brainwashed, because being Happy doesn't necessarily mean that they'll automatically listen to Curtain. In contrast to Jeffers, they might be worse at their jobs, because they would lose all their critical thinking skills. I guess that's why Curtain didn't brainwash them or the Grays, because he needs at least a few people who can do things. Aside from S. Q., I think that these two might be the most likely to get Curtain to realise what he was doing is wrong. (Maybe once he sees how much he misses them, he can recognise that he's making a terrible decision. Probably not, but one can hope)
Personally, I really like the concept that when we see Curtain talking to himself in the mirror in Season 2, he isn't practicing as much as he's attempting to brainwash himself because he feels awful and is slowly falling apart because even though Nicholas is there he isn't himself and Curtain is feeling very alone. So there's that whole angle, but I don't think that, especially as the creator of the technique and someone who's probably as smart as Mr. Benedict, he can ever fully be under. So he's constantly warring with himself, between his despair and his need to be in control but his growing fear of hurting the people he loves (Mainly Nicholas).

I think the main think that we should address about the Alpha Tauri debacle is that nothing good will come out of it and this whole thing was set up to fail from the start.
Let me explain.
No one apparently at RedBull seemed fully confident in Nyck. Most convincing seemingly came from Max putting a good word in for a friend.
Alpha Tauri was bound to be a disaster with the one constant they have leaving at the end of this year, Franz Tost, which wil be the final nail in the coffin. This team has been so consistent for many years because Franz is arguably the best team principal as he builds drivers up. Not only does he managed to get them back into a place where they are believing in themselves again but by doing this he automatically makes them better drivers because they learn while not having any pressure. He works with encouragement a lot of the time and he is one of the main reason why so many drivers got to the place where we are calling them good again. Him leaving was doubt to cause this team to recline especially because of the way they are run as a secondary RB team.
Alpha Tauri has always worked as a step ladder where they are only temporary before a driver either leaves for RedBull or leaves RedBull behind to go to the midfield.
But they at least managed to always have a driver that they could use as a secondary RedBull driver which let's be honest here is what anyone in that academy will be until Max leaves F1.
They abandoned that policy though simply because Alex and Pierre left. I think there was always some believe that Alex or Pierre will be kept there for a bit to train the younger one who will ultimately step up to Max, be there for a year or two before potentially becoming the main driver once Max leaves. But then Pierre and Alex left and they didn't have a driver to be that mentor anymore. No other driver from the current grid is a.) experienced enough for that and b.) willing to leave the team. The only three close enough would be Val (who will probably like Kimi retire at Alfa), Kevin (who is chained to Haas until the devil rips that contract up) or Nico (who at that time already probably had the talks with Haas.)
I am not discrediting Yuki or seeing he can't do it but the problem was Yuki isn't fixed. They wanted to kick him out but then saw him perform better and let him stick around which is where the problem begins.
The whole purpose is to have drivers from AT that can be pushed to RB alongside Max. Yuki has been slandered so much and threatened so often to be dropped that it would just seem weird to put him there. Add to that no guaranteed contract and especially now he would jump to any other team the second he gets because it is the smartest move.
Anyway, here's the dilemma. Yuki and Nyck are not your typical young rookie/older mentor relationship and Nyck also again was never a fixed thing in RB. The move to even sign him, knowing they will lose Yuki in a year or 2 is stupid. Rightfully they should have put a rookie who could learn under Yuki and then grow to step up once not only Franz but Yuki leave which they didn't because well.
Undoubtedly Vips was supposed to be that before shit went down.
Now there's Liam who also is in this weird limbo off many just drivers where they sort of just push F1 out of their mind. He's been doing so much other stuff that he is decent in so really, the possibility to go back to F1 was slim especially with an already signed contract.
The whole F2 drivers are all either too inexperienced or truly just don't stick out and after Yuki would they really go for some that had an average junior career again?
And anyone else is not an option with the inexperience glaring.
Now we come to the big problem.
RedBull have always had the golden boy thing. It was clear since his Monza win that Seb would be at that team. It was clear they would only win with him. Then after Seb, I truly believe Daniel was brought in as Webber replacement and place holder until they would finally shift to Verstappen who they planned to pushed probably since 2014. No driver really stood a chance between the Seb/Max transition because they weren't meant to, simple as that. Now, the interesting thing is Max bringing up retirement and no doubt running away with the next 2 or 3 titles probably. What people also tend to forget that in 2025 Max has been in the sport for 10 years. Not to mention he was as a literal teen. He was forced to grow up and be that star. Would it be really surprising if after establishing himself among the greats he would want to be somewhere else where he could win? No.
This now begs the question of who will be there next golden boy and well really this is what it ultimately boils down to.
While I do think Liam is a great driver you can't help but wonder that the reason they didn't choose him is simply because they don't think he will carry that greatness over to F1 and the lack of trust makes it obvious he isn't the next golden boy.
Apparently Enzo is a RB junior driver? Didn't know that but yeah it ain't going to be him either. Would be happy if he even got a chance at Haas for a season they will teams refuse to give rookies a chance.
Jak Crawford has a pretty unspectacular carting/racing record so there's that.
Isack Hadjar is still young but compared to most of the RB former talent pool again pretty uneventful.
Dennis Haugher looks okay but still compared to the achievements required to be golden boy probably not?
Ayumu Iwasa is apparently the most hyped? He has a good record from what I could find I guess? Stands out that he mostly switched between series so maybe that's more damaging to me.
For the little good, Formula experience he has and the regional titles he won I am surprised more people aren't considering him? To me he sticks out most from the F2 drivers but then again looking at talent pool we have had none of them truly feel like they are what RedBull saw in Max and Seb.
There also the F3 drivers of course so let's look at them. On a second thought let's not because really nothing stand out and you can barely find stuff.
For the F4 drivers you can truly not find any statistics so yeah.
Why did I make this long detour?
To show you that really RedBull doesn't have junior drivers they seem confident in or that have the promise their main stars, Seb and Max had. But even drivers like Pierre, Alex, Daniel showed overall more impressive or at least interesting records than most of the RB juniors.
In that regard getting Nyck makes sense. It doesn't make sense though considering that the possibility that Max leaves in the next 5-8 years is inevitable and there's no one they have who will stay long to carry teams leader. Perez will leave, Nyck was never supposed to be longer than maybe 2 or 3 years, Yuki probably will move to a midfield team and Alex likely will become a driver at another top team. They should have promoted a junior or even Liam up to see how they do. Give them 2-3 years at AT to see development while also getting a second junior after a year or 2 in that team so they can learn to develope as driver and team leader if they show potential.
Yet they went for Nyck, knowing the incredible shit AT is in and the unstable environment it would be + they already had no faith in him.
And before I see anyone suggesting Daniel: no. Yuki was bound to step up as team leader and supposed to try out the mentor role. That is what they wanted him to be. With Daniel that would have never worked out. + He made it very clear he wanted nothing below Alpine so of course they didn't consider him. He didn't make himself an option.
Anyway the long story short:
This entire line up was bound to fail and is undoubtedly the first of many steps that will lead to 90% of RedBull juniors being tossed aside without a chance. This is the first of many reactions to the fact that the RedBull will not promote their juniors, they will instead discard the problem and presumably get Norris once Max makes it clear that he isn't going to be racing much longer. There's no doubt in my mind none of the current RedBull juniors will never be considered an option and that the next RB golden boy will be someone of the current grid and not of the RB family.

The Chronicles of the Dark One: The Delicacies of Time
Chapter 29: An Unexpected Light Source
"This isn't over yet!"
He nearly sighed in relief when he heard David shout at the twenty-eight-minute mark. But at the sight of Emma, Regina, David, Robin Hood, and even Hook, he thought he just might cry.
About fucking time!
Though he wasn't quite sure what kind of force a girl with a bullet, two swords, one crossbow, and one magic-wielding half-sister were going to offer against Zelena with the Dark One Dagger. But...beggars couldn't be choosey. At least someone was going to make sure they went down fighting this.
"And who's going to stop me? Certainly not the Savior."
Emma looked like that comment stung. Given what he knew about their last encounter, as well as the fact that Hook stood there still very much alive, he was willing to bet that her plan had worked. Her magic was muted. But Emma was a strong woman, not easily prone to giving up or in. He watched as Emma swept her gaze over the room, landing on him and then her brother, before settling on David. "Go. Get him," Emma choked out. "We got your back."
"And I've got your heart," Robin Hood assured Regina almost romantically as both men broke ranks and began to move dangerously about the circle.
Dangerous…because of him. His magic was already beginning to come to life at Zelena's bidding. This wasn't going to be a long fight, but if just one of them was successful in rescuing either heart or child…it would all be over! And if someone could get that dagger from her hands, well...he'd be all too happy to put an end to all of this.
"Zelena! Stop, now!" Regina ordered as Hook and Emma advanced on him, and he automatically held his hand out to defend the portal. "We're not gonna let you succeed."
"Rid me of those pests!" Zelena commanded.
Freedom in his servitude…she hadn't specified how he was to rid them yet.
"Please, no more water," Hook requested as if he cared. He could fight her wishes a little for Emma and sacrifice Hook first if it had to! Anything to buy some time.
"Get the dagger. Then the Dark One will be on your side!" he pointed out as he sent Emma's gun sailing across the room when he stalled too long.
"It's easier said than done!" Emma insisted. Perhaps but there were still options, still several ways to win this even without her Light Magic, she had to see that!
"Do as I say, or I will destroy you both! I have no choice!" And then he tossed them both across the room and into some hay where the pair of them, unfortunately, would likely recover. Freedom within servitude. There! He'd incapacitated the "pest" that was the greatest threat, the magic within him was satisfied, but only for the time being. Arm still on the alert, he turned his attention now to Zelena, who was eyeing Regina with interest.
"Come for another beating, sis?"
"No. I came for some jewelry."
Jewelry. The necklace! Oh, thank the heavens they'd figured it out! But the second Regina made a step to come forward and threw out her hand as if to rip the fucking thing off her neck, Zelena angrily blasted her back and away.
With Regina down, Zelena finally noticed that David and Robin Hood were up again and moving ever closer to the baby and the heart. "Beautiful One! If you will…" Zelena called into the air.
For a moment, he prepared himself to resist again, but he didn't feel this particular command like he had the others. And then he noticed, up in the corner of the barn…there was something there, something screeching. Something his crazed mind had taken note of in the Dark Castle, but he hadn't paid any heed to until now. Something he hadn't been around until now.
The bitch actually had flying monkeys at her disposal!
One of them descended from gods knew where now, fluttering around, aiming for David and Robin.
"Remember, these creatures are our friends!" Robin yelled.
Really now?
"Don't worry, I'll use a gentle touch," David commented, reeling back with the sword.
Stop them! the command ran true in his head. Fuck!
"Unfortunately, that's not an option for me!" he lied. Just like Emma and Hook, he sent the pair tumbling back into a wall of hay. They'd get back up again, but he'd stopped them from harming whoever that thing was. And Zelena used it to her advantage to turn back to Regina. Oh, couldn't they see how carefully he was working! This could be so easy!
But in the blink of an eye, it didn't matter. Because one second, Regina stood there, ready to fight, and the next, Zelena had her suspended in the air, her magic gripping her around the throat. Oh, if Regina passed out and Zelena had the opportunity to commit all the energy she had to opening this portal-
"Only Light Magic can harm me, and you're as dark as they come," Zelena stated through gritted teeth. "It was your destiny to be this way and will also be your undoing!"
"Don't tell me what I can be!" Regina growled out despite the fact that her muscles were tense from fighting off Zelena's attack.
He held his breath, everything in him begging her to see what he saw. Robin Hood, quietly and carefully moving around the burning circle. Oh, all she had to do was fight logically, as he'd seen her fight the other night. Regina had no Light Magic, so she might not be able to win, but through logic, if she could continue to hold Zelena's attention long enough to keep her thoughts off the dagger, off of him and the portal, then she might be able to salvage the situation. She might be able to buy Robin the time he needed.
"I tried to be good once, but it wasn't in the cards," Zelena snapped as he eyed Robin, not a single bit of his magic itched to stop him. Heart, baby, dagger…if he could get his hands on any of those things, then all of this fell to pieces! If Regina could keep hold of Zelena's attention, then he could magic Robin far away to the town line where all he'd have to do would be cross, and they'd all be safe again. "This is who I am, and it's who you are!"
Oh, he thought he might cry. The magic of the portal began to die. He could feel it. And without even turning to look, he knew, just by the look on Regina's face, that Robin had done it. He'd taken something, removed it from its spot in the spell. He tried to rouse his magic, call it to him to send Robin away, but nothing budged. Her desire was blocking his will to help them. Now it was up to Regina. She was the only magic user on their side. She needed to get Robin Hood out of here and away from Zelena. Removing just one of her ingredients would stop all of this! But if she didn't do it soon enough…
"You're wrong, sis."
And then he felt it. A change in the air, something powerful and familiar, so familiar it had him glancing over at Emma. She was the only possible source of pure Light Magic in this godsforsaken barn, and it was a miracle that she'd overcome Zelena's spell but he'd-
But Emma had her wide eyes trained on Regina, in shock. When he followed her gaze, his own jaw nearly dropped as well. White light was coming out of Regina's palms, forming small little balls in the place where she might usually have called on her fire.
Light Magic.
Regina had Light Magic.
Cora's daughter, the one who had killed her own father to cast his Curse…she was their savior?
"What are you doing?" Zelena roared as Regina smiled unexpectedly.
"Changing," she responded.
The swell of magic he felt built rapidly, it grew and crested, and then-
He watched as a blast of white Light Magic flashed from Regina, slamming into Zelena with so much force he felt her breath leave her body!
He felt it...but only for a second. The connection was gone, broken.
And he realized the dagger had been knocked from her hand!
GO!
"What?!" Zelena cried as Regina stormed across the markings on the floor to the place her sister lay. He knew the feeling, he could hardly believe it either, much less tear his gaze away from what he'd seen. "How?!" she screamed.
Logic. Zelena, with her power, could have thrown a spell that would have Regina rocketing across the room, but instead, she'd been too stunned.
Because Regina was the better student.
"I make my own destiny," she explained, reaching out and pulling that emerald necklace from Zelena's neck.
For a moment, Zelena froze. Her eyes widened, and she fell backward into the floor as a green, mist-like magic flowed out of her.
He'd been right. He wasn't sure how, but somehow, she'd managed to bind her power to that necklace. It may have enhanced it while she wore it, but all magic came with a price, and now with it gone…so too was the Wicked Witch of Storybrooke. And he couldn't wait to show her the same mercy she'd shown Baelfire! Just as soon as-
With the emerald in Regina's hand, suddenly, the magical flames circling the portal died away completely. David made a beeline for the child. But the monkey who had been circling only moments ago, ready and willing to defend Zelena, was quickly falling from the sky, on a crash course with David, who pulled his sword and-
In the blink of an eye, the monkey was gone. Caught in David's arms was a giant, hairy man, looking around in confusion as David handed him his sword. "Little John, you're back!" Robin shouted as David reached his child and pulled the babe into his arms to examine it.
"David, the baby…is he okay?" Emma questioned as he held his own breath.
He. It was a he…a boy.
And he should be okay. The child had been meant to be the battery, and so while his magic might be drained for a while, the child should be intact since the spell had never gotten off the ground. Still a child that young…
"Yeah," David breathed, holding him in a way that made him cringe. He held the baby like a man who had never held an infant in all his life. But then again, he supposed, given the circumstances of Emma's arrival, this might very well have been his first time. "He can handle anything, just like his big sister."
Who's magic he'd be willing to bet was either already returned or would be in the days to come. All because…
All because the witch had been defeated.
But she wasn't yet dead.
He'd hardly noticed the way his legs had automatically carried him to the barn door entrance, as if he wanted more than anything to be out of there, but now his body turned back, the Dark Ones roared inside of him that he had to get the dagger first. They'd been screaming at him to do just that since it slipped from the witch's grasp, but all he cared for was making good on his promise, the vow he'd made for Baelfire. He wanted that witch dead!
"You failed," Regina laughed maniacally from above her sister. "You're not going anywhere."
"I beg to differ…" he knew of a wonderful town on the other side of death that would be happy to have her visit!
Finally, the Dark Ones reached out their magic to wrap around her ankle and pull her toward him, drag her through the muck and mud, the squaller she'd forced him to live in, to bounce off the holes she'd made him dig, to be just as humiliated as he'd been!
"What are you waiting for?" Zelena screamed at his feet. "Just do it!"
"With pleasure!"
"No!" Regina screamed across the room.
No!
A vise suddenly squeezed around his heart. The Dark Ones inside of him hissed as he felt his arm shoot back and away at…a command.
Foolish swine! Nimue snarled at him as he looked across the way to see Regina holding his dagger in her hands; his life and free will once more in the hands and the mercy of one of Cora's daughters. But while Nimue snarled and cursed and raged in his head, he tried to take a deep breath. Long ago, he might have felt the same way about Regina holding his dagger. Now he felt the situation was far different.
"Enough. This ends now," she ordered, though while she held the dagger, he could sense it wasn't a command. Just Regina reasoning with him for whatever reason he couldn't understand.
"After everything this witch has done…you're gonna protect her?"
"Good magic stopped her. And good magic doesn't exact vengeance."
"She killed my son!"
"How many lives have we taken trying to get what we want?"
Oh, for fuck's sake, he needed his Regina back! He needed the Villain that he'd created! One act of Light Magic, and now she was practically one of the Fairies?
"You can't be serious."
"I am. Heroes don't kill."
"So now you're a hero?"
He glanced down at the wretch who had uttered those disgusting words and sneered at just how upset she looked at the news.
"Today I am," Regina confirmed.
Villain once, villain always. It wouldn't last. And neither would all this…
"Very well…" he reached out his hand in her direction. "Give me my dagger."
"What…no!" Zelena plead.
"If you are a hero, then a hero wouldn't dare to force someone to do anything against their own will, give me my dagger."
"Regina…" Emma warned, her position clear in her voice.
"No," Zelena whined again. "He'll kill me. The first chance he gets, he'll kill me!"
"Enough!" Regina cried out, closing her eyes. After a slow, solid breath, she opened them again. She looked him in the eyes, then at Zelena, and then back at him. "You're right. A hero wouldn't force anyone to do anything against their will. But they would certainly do anything within their will to protect someone from harm."
He sneered, already sensing where this was going.
"Hey…when Zelena is safe, you'll get this back."
"When she's safe?!" he repeated. "Have you forgotten what she's just put everyone through?!"
"No, I haven't, which is why when Zelena is secure at the station, you will get this back, and we will pursue a fair punishment. I promise."
A fair punishment…his son was dead! Anything short of death would never be fair.
Unable to stand it anymore, he summoned up his magic and left the barn of his own free will.

With all the angst from "With You" and "No Matter What", how about a followup where Levi and s/o going to an adoption center to adopt a child. They see a little boy off to the side, not really mingling with others and they automatically want him, they feel a connection. The boy is quiet and didn't really talk to them at first, but they didn't give up. After a few day, the boy warms up and for the first time calls them mom and dad. Levi and his s/o feel all warm and like a family now :))
***Yeah, sure. Make me cry, Anon. 😭😭😭
💜Complete💜
Levi had been completely humbled when Y/N had brought up adoption. It the days that had followed his diagnosis, Levi had dropped the subject, retreating into his own thoughts as he mulled over the options. He knew that despite his own desires to have kids with Y/N, that was no longer an option. Still, he knew that Y/N wanted to experience motherhood.
He had wrestled with himself. The idea of using a sperm donor was uncomfortable for him. Not because of the child it would create, but because he was pretty possessive. He didn’t like the idea of another man’s sperm being inside his wife. He knew he was being ridiculous, but he had to figure out how to be okay with it. He loved Y/N more than anything else in this world and would do whatever she wanted. If she wanted to carry and have a child, he would love that little person like it was biologically his. Not only because a child is innocent, but because the babe would be a part of Y/N.
He had been out of their deck, looking out over the mountains when Y/N had joined him. She had brought him a cup of tea, which he had accepted gratefully. Sitting back in her own deck chair, he had caught her looking at him. “What?”
She looked back out across the open space behind their house and sighed, bringing her own mug of tea to her lips before answering. “I think we should adopt, Levi.”
He stared at her, watching her face for any signs of doubt. “Why?”
“I’ve been thinking about it. Seriously thinking about it. We have a wonderful life. Why don’t we offer that life to someone like you? We can give a child the same home you wished for when you were growing up. You will know exactly what they’re going through. We can’t have our own kid, so what? There are plenty that need someone to show them kindness, to love them.”
Levi looked at the woman he loved. He was overwhelmed by the purity of her giving heart sometimes. She had taken a risk on a sullen, dark tempered, abrasive teenager. Someone who every had said would amount to nothing. She had showered him with love and affection, showing him the good this world had to offer. Encouraged him to reach beyond his self imposed limits. Everything he was today as a successful, respected businessman was because of her showing him love.
“Okay. Let’s adopt.”
~~~~~
Y/N had held Levi’s hand firmly when they had reached the adoption center. Flashes of his past played through his mind as he walked up to the doors. Foster homes with screaming and fighting, lack of food. Being paraded around like a piece of meat to be analyze and found wanting. The dull punch of rejection every year as he got older, less desirable for adoption. Once kids got past the age of five, most couples didn’t bother looking at them. That was why Y/N and Levi had specifically requested to view older kids.
They had changed the procedures some, he noted as he watched the kids interact on the other side of a one way glass. This way the kids didn’t feel the eyes weighting them, judging them. They were just free to play and talk amongst themselves, not having to put on a show in hopes of winning the prize of a family.
There were kids between the ages of 5 and 10, all colors and sexes. They were playing or talking in groups, paired off by interest or age, except for one. He was smaller, something that Levi could definitely relate too growing up, but he seemed withdrawn. Secluded in a corner, he didn’t do anything but poke at the ground with his finger as he pursed his lips. Sitting Indian style, a hand on his leg propping his chin up, he gave the impression of being bored out of his mind.
Levi looked over and found Y/N looking at the boy as well. Turning to the caseworker, he nodded to the boy. “Tell us about him.”
Marc was 8, his single mother had been killed in a drive by shooting, leaving him a ward of the state. He had been in the center for the past 4 years. Levi’s breath caught and Y/N clutched at his hand. It was the same age that Levi had been left alone in the world, his own mother wasting away from cancer.
Y/N smiled at the little boy “Him.”
~~~~~
The first few days were awkward. Marc didn’t seem to want to talk, to interact with the strangers that had brought him home. Levi understood where the boy was coming from. It had always taken awhile to being to settle down when he was transferred to a new foster home. Y/N had fawned over him. Taking him shopping, she had attempted to have him open up but the boy had just silently pointed at a few things he liked and let her do the talking.
Levi worked at getting him involved as well. When they brought him home, they had both sat down with him in the living room and explained exactly what it was they expected of him. He was to try and help around the house when asked, be respectful, never be afraid to ask questions and work hard in school. But he was also to enjoy being a kid. The fridge was always open, but if it was before dinner time, stick to a fruit or vegetable if hungry.
Dinner was silent on his part. Levi and Y/N would ask questions and receive a nod, a shake of his head or a shrug of his shoulders. So instead, they began talking about themselves. Telling stories, like how they met, fun places they’d been to. Levi had even offered up that he himself had been a foster kid. Marc had perked up at that, subtly straightening in his chair as he pushed the peas around on his plate.
After being excused from the table, Marc had gone up to his new bedroom to take a shower while Y/N and Levi cleaned up. Talking about the situation, they scrubbed the kitchen while encouraging one another to not give up.
Since the first night, they had gone into Marc’s room to put him to bed together. Tonight as Y/N smoothed the covers over the clean and sleepy boy, Marc asked them a question.
“Can I call you Mom and Dad?” His voice was shy and hesitant, as if afraid of the answer.
Y/N choked up a bit as she answered “Of course you can, sweetie.” Levi felt himself begin to choke up as he cleared his throat. “Sure, buddy. That’s fine with us.”
He smiled as he snuggled into his bed.
~~~~~
Later than night, Y/N was crying happy tears as Levi pulled her against him their bed. They were complete.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War - Review
Did you notice that just a few weeks ago, Valve came out and said in uncertain terms that there'll be absolutely no Left 4 Dead 3 anytime soon? Well, the terrible news for several is astounding for Zombie Army 4: Dead War, which couldn't have hoped for better timing. He's here to follow those four-player cooperative steps - except that his zombies also are Nazis, and sometimes once you kill them you get a super-gross gross kill. It definitely scratches the itch, although the few new ideas it injects don't really reinvigorate the genre that Bill, Coach, Zoey, and Francis have built.
It may sound familiar on the entire, but Zombie Army 4 manages to separate itself from the already sizable horde of zombie cooperative shooters in some fun ways. For starters, the story is delightfully absurd, with occult forces bringing the Nazi army back from the dead, apparently from the literal bowels of Hell. His campaign of about eight hours ends with a ridiculous and surprising final battle that's worth seeing uncontaminated. there's also a simplified Horde mode if you only want to remain on one position and see what percentage waves you'll face as you are trying out different weapons. I prefer the variability and forward momentum to play the entire campaign, but the Horde offers many opportunities for intense shootings and last-second wins.
The WWII setting is disgusting and filled with blood, but during a creative way during which I could not wait to ascertain what I might have fought after. I enjoyed facing powerful enemies like zombie flamethrowers with explosive gas cylinders on their backs, Nazi zombie generals whose hearts must be removed to stop them from spawning more enemies and managers like tanks that reveal gigantic ribs when their armored sides are made the jump. And it's made all the more exciting by a superb soundtrack that seems straight out of the classic zombie movie George A. Romero from 1985, Day of the Dead - my only complaint about music is that I wish it had been mixed louder and channeled more often.
There is a layer of strategic dismemberment within the brainless massacre.
There's a little quite running and shooting because the way you shoot zombies encourages you to face the walking dead during a more nuanced way: getting a particular number of kills unlocks special abilities, like enhanced sniper shots or reload of superfast rifles, but you furthermore may have the likelihood to recover health by taking close kills. Killing a variety of zombies from afar to realize the proper to run and recover some health adds a layer of strategic dismemberment to the brainless massacre.
Additionally, there's clearly some Doom inspiration that helps keep the action moving, with some zombies offering ammo, grenades, or health packs if you tread on them after they're defeated. This led to some great moments during which I recovered from being cornered by coitus interruptus an enormous wave, healed myself with close fatalities then trampled on enemies on the bottom to recover ammo before rushing to subsequent target. Where it appeared to me that it had only been done a couple of moments before, I found myself at my best and prepared for everything that happened afterward without even an ammo cache pitstop.
The layouts of the eight levels of Zombie Army 4 (and the smaller final comparison) are neat and do an honest job of contextualizing why you would like to maneuver from point A to point B beyond basic survival. Sometimes you're exploring an abandoned zoo, other times you're getting fuel for a ship so it can make its way down a canal, or you're learning pieces of a bomb to mix at the top of the stage. the amount doesn't look radically different, but all of them have interesting layouts that are fun to explore and are disturbing and disturbing in their own way. The goals are simple enough where you and your friends will never be confused about what to try to next, but interesting and varied enough that it doesn't appear to be you're always doing an equivalent thing. There are never times when cooperative play is required - you'll easily play alone if that's how you roll - but the more players take part the action the upper the problem it automatically climbs and therefore the more important teamwork becomes.
You can easily play alone if that's how you shoot.
I like the crazy sprint to finish this sort of goal, but I used to be less hooked into the areas where you've got to carry your position for a particular period of your time. These defensive scenarios aren't all that common, but curiously enough Zombie Army 4 constantly offers you anti-personnel mines and electric cables that are not that useful when you're on the run rather than preparing for an assault. And even during the checkpoints once you have time to put the traps, most of them went after the primary wave and returned to plain shooting anyway.
The upgrade system is additionally rewarding, to some extent. The persistent progression of the character allows you to deepen across the board, so whether you're in Horde mode, playing the campaign alone or with friends, you'll add new skills like better defense or faster positioning of anti-personnel mines, among others. There aren't enough options to permit you and your friends to diversify and occupy classes with wildly different and synergistic abilities, but it's still worth increasing your skills from one level to a different.
Why should I exploit a machine gun when my rifle electrocutes zombies?
The gun upgrade system, however, is initially exciting but can hit a wall. the ditch Gun may be a personal favorite: by the top of the campaign, I had sped up my refill, boosted damage output, and added bonus damage to electricity. I added similar upgrades to my precision rifle, but after a short time I ended up with a load of weapon upgrades that I wasn't getting to use. Why should I take two steps back and begin employing a machine gun when my rifle electrocutes zombies? Since there are not any lessons, I even have not felt the rationale to travel back to the start line and alter things.
It's a nice touch, though, that once you die you switch into a zombie and watch, without control, as your character approaches the gang and becomes another obstacle for your friends to beat. Once they kill you, you'll regenerate (as long as they do not die first), so it works as a fun handicap to stop instant regeneration - and let's face it, it is also fun to kill your friends' zombie versions.
Microtransaction reaction
Zombie Army 4 at launch represents a good package with a considerable campaign, but a primary season of DLC is already planned and a Season Pass is out there for $ 34.99. alongside new characters and guns and new skins for all characters and guns, the primary DLC also will add three new campaign missions. There also are additional free levels for Horde mode, although at the instant it's not clear exactly when these new contents are going to be available. In terms of what is immediately available, there's a little selection of cosmetic items and alternative guns that are included within the Deluxe edition or which will be purchased individually for $ 4 or $ 5. So far, it doesn't appear to be the DLC content is going to be an enormous problem.
From a technical point of view, I didn't encounter any connection problems, but I had some general bugs. On quite one occasion I found a scenario during which the zombies were coming to infinity, albeit the goal had been completed, forcing us to start out over. I also had a few times when large black bars appeared, obscuring my view of ammo reserves and when my special skills would be available. it had been quite annoying.
The verdict
Zombie Army 4: Dead War feels largely familiar among the horde of Dead 4 Dead-style cooperative shooter, but it isn't without its clever mechanical touches and runs on the oldest computer game clichés: killing Nazi zombies. Between his varied election campaign and a fun horde mode, there are many opportunities for heartbreaking teamwork and gory, disgusting X-ray kills. The weapon's progression system doesn't provide many reasons to expand, therefore the attraction of his replay value isn't as strong because it might be.
Recently, I was listening to John Maxwell podcast about leadership and he said, “You cannot disconnect attitude from reality and expect success.”
This is very true, because when we disconnect our attitude from our reality our thoughts would be like, ‘I can do this, I can do that, and I can do everything I wanna do.’ Yes, some of us can do all the things they want to do in life with their resources, but the question is, “Do you have the ability to do the job? Are you competent to do it?”
If you wanna be an opera singer, you can hire talented coach to help you out, but can you be an opera singer without the talent?
There he tackled about what our attitude cannot do for us as a leader.
1. Our attitude cannot substitute for competence.
There are actually some people who confuse confidence, which is a function of attitude, with competence, which is the function of ability.
You can have the attitude to sing, but can you win the singing competition without talent? NO! You need to have a good voice, and that's the reality. ATTITUDE IS NOT EVERYTHING.
In addition to that, if we have a great attitude but incompetent, we are not gonna get to where our mindset were set.
2. Our attitude cannot substitute for experience.
Just like one of our presidential candidate here in our country, he have the attitude to run for the presidential set, but can he run a country without the knowledge and experience? NO! For someone to run a country, he must have the attitude, knowledge, and experience. It can be an experience of running a city or a province and they must have the knowledge of our law.
3. Our attitude cannot change the facts.
“If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain”.
-May Angelou
We can't change the facts of having a COVID-19 that made us froze all our work because we can't control things. We didn't choose Covid, it chose us. But we can choose to responds to it, we can work on it to be part of growing, learning, and hopeful experience.
Let us quit spending so much time explaining the facts or the excuses around the facts, instead, spend more time demonstrating a powerful attitude and how to get through with it adversely.
4. Your attitude cannot substitute for personal growth.
“A time comes when you need to stop waiting for the man to become and start being the man you want to be.”
-Bruce Springsteen
Just because we have the great attitude we are going to be the person we want to be. In order for us to attain that growth, we need to discipline our selves.
5. Our attitude will not stay good automatically.
- - - - - -
We have to be aware with our emotion, because we don't know what will going to be the consequences of our actions. Emotion is a blindspot that can trigger our attitude. It can change our attitude.
When you are into argument, put out your emotion and stay with your factual level and get that attitude where it is looking for a solution and not defying problem.
There are some people who have the personality of FIGHT or FLIGHT when they are in an argument, but there is actually a third option, and that is to look for a solution.
- - - - -
When we are in the position where we are trying to find our bearing and help our attitude and mindset, ask this 3 questions:
What do you think?
What do you feel?
What do you know?
We can continually improve our attitude through keeping in mind that, “I cannot allow my attitude go on out of pilot, it will not serve me will if I'm not being intentional with keeping and maintaining great attitude.”
Resident Evil 8: Village review (spoilers everywhere!)
Tumblr media
Now, I want to start off by saying I've never been very interested in the "Resident Evil" games. I've always preferred the "Silent Hill" series because of how macabre the games are, the creepy symbolism behind the monsters, and the intense moments of fear despite having weapons (well, in most of the games at least). I like dark, twisted stuff, and "Resident Evil" seemed too...action-oriented for me, I guess?
However, I did finally get involved when I saw the trailer for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard." I was shocked, but pleasantly so. Not only did it feature new characters, new locations, and a new disease, but it was in first person AND looked like a true survival horror game. I know some people may prefer the third-person perspective for RE games as that has always been one of their key characteristics, but I think horror games are much more effective in first person. They're more immersive because they give you the illusion of being in the game itself.
I really loved RE7, and still do. I actually have begun playing it again, the first time in a few years (I think 2019 was the last time I played through the game). I still see it as my favorite RE games and one of my favorite survival horror games, but I have enjoyed the "Resident Evil 2" and "Resident Evil 3" remakes and may play other games in the franchise just because.
Now, onto "Resident Evil 8: Village," a direct sequel to 7 (lol 8 does come after 7 but I mean that 8 is a continuation of the story introduced in 7. I mean, RE7 was not a sequel to RE6 at all). I was excited to see the franchise continuing with what it started in RE7, and while I did enjoy RE8, it does have some issues...nothing serious but things that prevent it from replacing RE7 as my favorite.
The Good:
There Four Lords and Mother Miranda were truly unique characters despite being bosses. I felt pity for all of them in one way or another and enjoyed learning their backstories. I think they are the most interesting and "human" villains in the RE games so far (at least, from what I've seen), and in games in general.
I felt so much pity for Moreau, though. He was such a tragic character, and I felt like I was putting him out of his misery by killing him. Clearly, there was something wrong with him mentally like his mental growth had been stunted and he thought and acted more like a child. His primary goals were to win the praise of the other three Lords since they didn't like him (I think Donna may have been ok with him but her mental health issues prevented her from expressing her feelings in a more effective and healthy manner) and to have Mother Miranda see him as her son. All these emotions over one character, a boss enemy, and possibly the least complex of the Lords and Miranda herself, I think demonstrate some fantastic writing. I mean, I've very rarely encountered bosses that I felt sorry for, and killing them was mercy.
Donna was a very strange character. She was the only one of the bosses who didn't transform into a monstrosity, and her boss fight was vastly different from anything else in the game. I liked it, though, for the most part, this sort of "calm" within a storm of deadly monsters and bloody battles. Of all the Lords and Mother Miranda herself, Donna was almost just there, like she was observing instead of actually participating. She respected Mother Miranda but, unlike the other three Lords, she seemed to prefer to live in her own little fantasy world with her dolls as her family and friends.
The graphics were, as expected, incredible. If you have a computer that can handle the game with high/max settings, it will look absolutely stunning. Also, the soundtrack was very fitting, but I don't have much concern for this trait unless the soundtrack is truly exceptional, which is rare -- or if the soundtrack is awful, which I have yet to encounter in a game.
I enjoyed the change in environment from RE7. I liked the creepy house in the woods and "ghost ship" in RE7, but RE8 had us in underground tunnels, a rundown village, a castle, a factory, a swamp town...I mean, you went all over the place, but it made the experience diverse and entertaining.
RE8 gave us a lot of answers to questions left by RE7, and, in some ways, enhanced that game's story. Finding out the truth behind Ethan's seemingly indestructible body was a twist I didn't expect. It did provide an answer for just how easy it was for him to literally patch himself up and put himself back together over and over again. It was no longer just "game logic."
Ending Ethan's story made sense. It was clear by the end of RE8 that his character had gone as far as possible, and it was time to switch gears. I'm curious as to how the next game will utilize Rose as a protagonist. She has powerful psychic abilities, unlike her father, and I don't think any other RE protagonist has had such abilities (as far as I know), so that could make for a very interesting gaming experience.
With that being said, I really do hope RE9 continues what was started in RE7 and developed further in RE8. I really do. I think there are plenty of things left to explore, plenty of room for some good twists and turns.
There weren't many puzzles in this game, but I didn't think it was such a bad thing. It was still a lot of fun to play with a reasonable amount of action-oriented challenges. There were so many bosses in this game, minibosses included, yet it never felt overwhelming or underwhelming. I thought the minibosses were fantastic "bridges" to each of the 5 main boss fights.
MAGNUM IS BEST WEAPON. Seriously, what is it with these types of guns and their insane amount of power? I liked the grenade launcher as well, despite how slow it was to reload. The use of flashbangs proved to be much more useful than the grenades themselves, oddly enough. I know they have been in other RE games, but they were much more essential in RE8.
The pacing was perfect. I felt like the game was the appropriate length, not overstaying its welcome nor leaving players underwhelmed by lack of content. I mean, I still wish it were longer but that's only because of how entertaining it is to play. Leaving players wanting more but in a positive sense indicates that the game was planned thoroughly with a lot of attention to detail.
Miranda's and Moreau'sboss fights were the most challenging in the game. Both were endurance battles and required you to move quickly and think fast and basically just survive until they died. Ammo was very important in both boss fights because the right weapons made things much easier but if you didn't have enough ammo for them, well...you're going to have a more intense challenge.
My favorite "location" was the Dimitrescu castle. I like the elegant "antique" aesthetic of old castles and houses/mansions.
Unlike in RE7, RE8 does allow you to upgrade some of your weapons, which makes things easier if just to allow your guns to hold more ammo before needing to reload. You also didn't need to pull out a weapon to open crates. If you "interacted" with one, Ethan automatically used his knife to break it. RE7 made you do it manually which was a little annoying, especially during fights.
RE7 pretty much just had the Bakers and mold monsters as enemies. They all put up a good fight, but RE8 has a much wider range of enemies: wolfmen, zombies, flying zombie bats, werewolves, cyborg monstrosities, witches (well, if you consider the Dimitrescu daughters as witches, and they kind of are), a gross but pitiful fishman, a mentally disturbed doll maker, and an egocentric engineer. Variety added another layer of difficulty and surprise to the game since it wasn't always the same enemy types popping up to get you.
Mixed Thoughts:
Donna's boss fight was unlike any other fight in the game -- or any game, really. It was a morbid hide and seek challenge that was a nice change of pace but I do wish it had been a bit more difficult. I liked the concept, and it suited Donna, but it was the easiest boss fight in the game, almost like it was a miniboss fight instead. Good concept, but weak execution.
RE8 allows you to upgrade weapons, but RE7 doesn't, and while it may sound like RE8 has the upper hand, I disagree. RE7's lack of weapon enhancements/upgrades made the game more difficult because what you saw was what you got, and you had to make do. You didn't have the option to make your weapons hold more ammo or shoot faster or deal more damage.
The Bad:
Most of the boss fights were...rather easy? Minibosses included. The only ones that posed a real threat were Moreau and Miranda. Everyone else was just standard boss fodder, unfortunately. In RE7, I felt that, while there were far fewer boss fights, they all were much more demanding and exciting.
Lady Dimitrescu was such a fun character, and yet, she was only in the game for a short time, and her boss fight was just so-so. With all the marketing surrounding her before the game was released, I expected her to have a much larger role in the game.
They had an opportunity to make Miranda a sympathetic villain seeing as how the loss of her daughter basically drove her to madness. However, the way she was portrayed, I honestly didn't feel any sympathy for her, which was a shame. If she had been portrayed as a more tragic, broken character, then it would have made the final boss fight very emotional since you would feel some guilt killing her knowing what she's been through.
Not very scary. I mean, it's not a terrible thing, but for a game that is part of the survival horror genre, I felt like RE8 focused on the action a little too often. It was an intense experience just not a chilling one. RE7 had so much tension and atmosphere that it truly played out like a survival horror game.
Overall, I do like "Resident Evil 8: Village" and want to play it several more times. It bested "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" in a few ways, namely with a diversity of enemies and customizable weapons but it fell short in the horror department and mishandled most of its bosses.
Final Grade: B+
Hints
Guns, Ammo, Herbs And First Aid Sprays
Obviously ammo supply can be an issue so here are the guns, ammo and priority of which to ones to conserve:The Magnum Revolver is number one top priority. There are only a few places you’ll find ammo for it like the aqua ring in the residence area and the 2nd floor of the mansion. You’ll find that when you need to find the battery for the courtyard elevator inside the room with the battery. The Shotgun would be tied with the Incendiary (Flame) Rounds for the Grenade Launcher, you only find 2 or 3 of those so save them for when you need them. The Shotgun on the other hand, you find a decent amount of ammo for it throughout the game, especially as Chris. The last would be the Handgun. You find ammo for that all the time. And as for the Survival Knife, its pretty useless for the most part but keep it on you if you’re running out of ammo. But Ammo isn’t the only thing you should conserve, Medical supplies are also something you should try to Conserve as well. Mix as many herbs as you can, Green+Red+Blue, Green+Red, Green+Blue, Green+Green+Blue, Green+Green, Green+Green+Green, all sorts. Also try to conserve First Aid Sprays, those will help. I recommend trying it on easy first to get a feel for it and to learn the locations and enemies so good luck and have fun.
View Kenneth’s Film
Once the first zombie of the game is dead, go to Kenneth and push A. You’ll get his film which will be considered a file, not an item. After a long adventure of survival horror, and your in the lab, you need to go into the small room where you find the Laboratory Key. In there is a video player. Go to it and push A. Select yes to see his film.
V-JOLT Formula
1 . Take the 4 empty bottles. 2. Water + UMB 3 = NP-004 3. NP-004 + Yellow-6 = UMB 10 4. Water + Yellow-6 = UMB 7 5. UMB 10 + UMB 7 = VP-017 6. VP-017 + UMB 3 = V-JOLT.
Headshots With A Shotgun
If you point your shotgun up on a zombie’s head, you will always do a headshot.
Infinite Rocket Launcher Guide
Here are some tips that might help you get the infinite rocket launcher (beat game under 3 hours): 1. Dodge zombies you can dodge. 2. Do the grenade glitch. 3. Go for the bad ending. 4. When not killing enemies, unequip your weapon (NOTE: This makes your character go faster) 5. Play as Jill and on either normal or hard difficulty. 6. Dont save that much. 7. Do a speed run. 8. Pausing, checking inventory, checking item box, and cutscenes all count as time. 9. Dont examine keys cause its just a waste of time! Now that you know everything! Are you ready to beat the game in under 3 hours?.
Weapon List, Ammo And Other Items For Jill And Chris
Okay so this is telling you who has what and what will it be replaced by what: Weapons: Survival Knife-Both Handgun-Both Shotgun-Both Magnum Revolver-Both Grenade Launcher-Jill Assault Shotgun-Chris Barry’s Revolver-Jill (optional/no extra ammo)
Defence Weapons: Knife-Both Stun Gun-Jill (requires Battery) Flash Grenade-Chris
Ammo: Handgun Magazines-Both Shotgun Shells-Both Magnum Rounds-Both Grenade Rounds (good against all enemies)-Jill Incindiary Rounds (good against Zombies)-Jill Acid Rounds (good against Jessica a. k . a . The bullet-proof thing in chains)-Jill
Lock-Pick-Jill Lighter-Chris (Jill can get a lighter but she has to find it)
So thats that now let me explain a few things Jill has a Lock-Pick therefore she gets around a lot easier, but chris has to find Old keys which replace Items such as ammo, ink ribbons etc. , which flat out stinks, I mean come on you can never have TOO many of one thing. And as for other ammo, all Grenade/Incendiary/Acid Rounds as Jill will be changed to Shotgun Shells as Chris and about half of the Shotgun Shells as will be Grenade Rounds as Jill. And every Battery found as Jill will be a Flash Grenade for Chris. Other than those things the rest of the items that are necessary to progress further through the game are the same so good luck and have fun.
Invisible Enemy Mode And One Dangerous Zombie
After I beat Real Survival Mode I unlocked Invisible Enemy mode and it also turned on “One Dangerous Zombie” too. Of course I had already beaten the game as both Chris and Jill twice each on Easy mode from the original mode but basically after beating Real Survival Mode, you unlock Invisible Enemy Mode and turn on One Dangerous Zombie as well.
Real Survival Mode
Beat Hard Mode with either Chris or Jill and then it will say you can now play on Real Survival Mode. Basically there was a prototype for the original Resident Evil game that would make the aiming of your weapons automatically set on Manual and all of the Item Boxes weren’t linked. It was never released but the makers of this version decided to add it as a harder level. So now you have to manually aim and remember all Item Boxes are not linked to each other.
Preventing Zombies From Coming Back To Life
If you shoot a zombie and he falls down he may not be dead. The following are indicaters and tips that help you determine weather a zombie is dead or alive. If you run from a zombie that you knocked down that is still alive once you enter the room again that zombie will be faster and be more brutal, so if you start killing a zombie you’d better finish the job there because it will cost you later on. 1) If you see a pool of blood under the zombie they are dead, you shot them enough times. 2) If you use a flash grenade as a defense item against a zombie they will die instantly. 3) If you shoot the zombie’s head off they will not come back. 4) You can use your Fuel Canteen and when the zombie is laying on the ground you can burn them.
Save Kerosene
To save kerosene all you have to do is kill a zombie till it falls on another zombie to make a stack then light sack with kerosene then you kill two or more zombies while saving kerosene.
V-Jolt With Chris
Doing the V-Jolt for Chris is a sacrifice of the Assault Shotgun. Once you get the Armor key, go into the room with Richard. When you are told to get the serum, don’t. Keep doing things until you need to get the last Death Mask. You’ll need to go past Richard. He should be dead by now. Now, you won’t get the Assault Shotgun in the area of the sharks. Once you get to Plant 42 in Residence, you’ll see a cutscene featuring Chris and Rebecca. Go into the room with the jars and get the V-Jolt. Bring it down to it’s roots in Residence B1. You still have to fight Plant 42 with Chris, but it’s alot weaker.
Unlock Jill’s Or Chris’ Cell
To save Chris or Jill, (You don’t have to, this is just if you want the “Good” or “Best” ending) you must get three MO disks. To get them, you must do these simple steps-
(1)When you get the Helmet Key, go to the area above the stairs that are next to the Drug Rm., and go into the room with an eagle that follows you. To get the first MO disk, you must get the Yellow Gym by pushing the two dressers against the wall. Next, flip the light switch off and run to the other side of the room. You must NOT let the eagle see you take the gems. (To know if the eagle sees you about to take the Gym, you'll see the Gym in the trophy blinking) Climb onto the dressers and get the gems. Use the yellow gem on the tiger with the blue eye/gem. It should rotate and give you the first MO disk.(2)Once you got the two doors open on the computer, (The Login name is JOHN and the first password is ADA. Unlock one room, then enter CELL as the second password to unlock the second door) Go to the room you past by when you were getting the second MO disk and go in. Go to the shelf on your right (Not Jill's or Chris' right) to get the second MO disk.(3)Now that you got the second MO disk, go to the end of the first part of the room or hallway of the lab to get the to get the third MO disk on the desk. (4)Now to put the MO disk in place. !WARNING! You must put the right MO disk into the right computer terminals! Get the first MO disk you got and go into the room with ammo in the sink and a zombie. On the desk where the zombie is, there is a computer terminal. (It looks like a black Gamecube) Insert the MO disk #1 in it. Once you do this it will show three red lights and one turning green.(5) Go into the green room with MO disk #2 and push the shelf back. (If you need Shotgun shells, just push it twice. Climb on the thing to your right, and go behind the shelf to get the shotgun shells on the shelf to your left) Climb the thing on your right and go through the vent. (Careful of the Chimeras! Destroy them with the shotgun or magnum) Then, go on the green dresser to go through the second vent and into the first green room. Go forward and to Chris' or Jill's right to find the computer terminal and use the MO disk #2.(6)Grab MO disk #3 and go into the red room and just go forward to find the last computer terminal. (Careful, there are more Chimeras) Use the last MO disk on it.(7) The Final Step. After the first battle with the Tyrant, go to the end of the room and use the switch to unlock the cell. (To bring him down use 5 hits with the Magnum Revolver or one hit with Berry's Magnum-Jill only with Berry's magnum. If you do have Berry's magnum because you didn't give it to him get Weskers key) Go down the hallway that the door next to the gate looking door. Go to the three switches and use each one to open the door. Go down the stairs to the cell and open it. You should have Weskers key if you didn't give Berry his gun and one or two bullets with Berry's gun. Get Ready for the second battle against the Tyrant.
Easiest Way To Beat The Tyrant (Jill)
The easiest way to beat the Tyrant can only be done with Jill. First of all, get the first MO disk. Then, when your in the area where you find Lisa (the mutated girl in chains) for the third time, don’t give Barry his gun. You’ll see Barry die. Keep doing the MO disks part to save Chris. When you get to the Tyrant for the first time, use one bullet on the Tyrant to bring him down. (WOW) When you do, go to the end of the room and unlock the door. When you do, there’s something else in the room. Get Wesker’s key or you won’t be able to get to the room ahead of this area. Go to the three switches and unlock the door. Go down the stairs to get Chris, go to the beginning room of the lab, (With the ladder, the Item box and the Type Writer) and go up the ladder. Keep going and get the fuse pack and put it into where it is missing. Go up the elevator and use the flare kit. Oh, just remember, when Wesker got hit, he injected himself with the T-Virus, giving him super human strength and speed.
Spider Boss
Run in circles, dodging it’s poison,& occasionally stopping to shoot it. When it charges you, you’ll get hit, but it won’t deplete much helth.Get the knife out & cut through the webs on the door to the right.
1. Deposit all items.2. Pull out your Gernade Launcher (Make sure it goes to the upper-left section).3. Pull out a case of Gernade Rounds (Make sure it goes to the upper-right section).4. Leave Item Box.5. Equip Gernade Launcher.6. Re-open Item Box and deposit the Rounds (Doesn't matter where).7. Go to the left (into the Item Box) and press A twice on the Rounds.
The Gernade Launcher should still be in your inventory with 20 rounds. Exit the Item Box and check your inventory and it should read 240 now. To get 240 of other ammo, just swap the 240 rounds with another type and repeat all steps.
