I was looking for Big Five info to a history, and I'm SO disappointed that the AssClass Wiki don't even have their height... What do you think are their heigths?
First, I'm going to use B4 specifically when referring to the group without Gakushuu.
Second, you have every right to be upset. The B4 are apparently so unimportant they don't get their own profiles like Gakushuu or the 3E kids. Even Karasuma's boss, who's arguably more irrelevant and has less screentime, gets his own freakin' profile, with a birthday! Why??? (I mean, I don't mind some extra info on background characters, but a birthday for every B5 boy would've been nice, you know?)
The wiki says Ren's height is 180 cm, even though it's not mentioned anywhere in canon (#JusticeforB4Boys). I think it's because he's taller than Shuu (175 cm), so I guess the wiki meant to say he's around 180 cm.
For the other three, let's take a look at this character design reference.
Tumblr media
So, Ren is obviously the tallest. Seo seems a little shorter in comparison, even if he's leaning to the side. It's safe to say he's around Gakushuu's height, give or take. I like to think he's shorter by one or two centimeters just so Gakushuu can enjoy being the SECOND tallest Virtuoso 🤭
I never realized this, but Araki and Koyama seem to be around the same height only because Koyama is hunched over. Imagine if he had a straight posture, I think he'd tower over Araki by 2-3 cms, which isn't a lot, but as Gakushuu likes to say (to himself) "Every centimeter counts" as he stands tall next to Seo.
So, from tallest to shortest, the order would be:
Ren
Gakushuu
Seo
Koyama
Araki
I'm not going to give each B4 kid a specific height because this may change later. It's been ages since I last watched the anime or read the manga. I used to think Koyama was the shortest because he looked so small around the others. Maybe after a good rewatch/reread and a healthy dose of scene over-analysis, these headcanons will change again.
TL;DR:
The B4 don't get respect
Araki is a pipsqueak (affectionate)

୨୧ On Purpose Karma x (fem) Reader || Chapter: 07 ୨୧
Prev || Secrets 07 || Next
You'd think after seeing the images and reading a lengthy description of what to anticipate when joining End class,  [Name] might have mentally braced herself for what she would be exposed to.
"LET ME GO YOU CAN'T FORCE ME TO STAY." Her voice ripped at her throat, Agent Karasuma restrained the girl as she kicked and screamed. Sure, she read Korosensei's description and seen the image attached to his file but something about seeing him in person for the first time sunk reality into her.
"I can, I'm legally mandated to keep you here until you calm down," Karasuma said, out of breath. She "bolted" down the hall the second she saw her new teacher, but as it turns out she's a pretty slow runner. He caught up to her walking, that was until she started rolling down the hill.  He had to run down before she could reach the end of said hill and blab everything to the first person she saw out of sheer adrenaline.
Korosensei could have easily cornered her the second she walked out the door but instead, he was busy sulking to his students about how frightened [Name] was by him.
"Time to head back, you can decide if you want to switch back to the main campus once you're in the right headspace," Karasuma spoke as he dragged her back to class.
[Name] stood behind the halfway-opened door, as Karasuma encouraged her to walk in and introduce herself.
"It's understandable! I'm muscular, I have a chiseled jawline and an intimidating demeanor, it's only human instinct to run away." Korosensei spoke like he was trying to convince himself of his own words.
"Sir, I don't think that's what happened." Isogai raised his hand to reply.
[Name] stiffly walked in, her body aching from her attempt to run off or roll off the mountain.
"Go on, introduce yourself." Karasuma nudged her forward. Her hands were still jittery from the nerves. "I'm [Name]."
'Really? That's all she's going to say?' Karasuma decided to give her a break, her day had been hectic enough.
"[Name's] a transfer from A class. Do your best to accommodate her and make her feel welcome."
"[Name] you can take the empty seat next to Karma..." Korosensei meekly gestured, trying not to scare her away for a second time.
Once [Name] took her desk, Karma reached over to his new seatmate's head. "You got grass in your hair."
"Don't touch me you pathological fucking liar." She glared daggers into him.
Karma annoyedly clicked his tongue. If that’s how she’s going to act he can too, "I hope the spider in your hair lays eggs."
"Spider?! Karma get it off me! I didn't mean it! Honestly, I did, but still!"
Lunch break had rolled around, and [Name] was sitting outside with Karma. "Ya know he won't hurt you right? Or did they leave that out?" Karma asked, referring to Korosensei.
"More like you left that out, you decided to leave me clueless."
"Can you blame me? You probably would've gotten me locked up in some mental asylum."
"I wouldn't have! I can't visit you every day there."
He flicked her forehead "You're an idiot."
"Don't be cute, I'm angry at you."
Karma leaned in closer, their faces only a few inches apart. "Are you?"
Nagisa accidentally stumbled into [Names] shoulder, "Sorry [Name]- Ah, I’m interrupting aren’t I? I'll go!"
"No you're not, what's up Nagisa?" She tugged on his sleeves encouraging him to stay.
"I just wanted to see if I could help you introduce yourself to everyone, and make more friends so you feel comfortable."
"Really! That's sweet, I'd love that." Her face lights up as she pushes Karma further away and cheerily walks off with Nagisa. Karma sighs in response as he trails right behind them.
    —⁺˖°ʚ୨୧ɞ°⁺˖—
"Gakushuu! I've been looking for you!" Kaho rushed over.
"Kaho, I've got places to be."
"I just want to ask if you've heard from [Name]. She hasn't shown up to any classes or contacted me today."
"You don't know?" For a moment he questioned if it was his place to talk.
"Know what?" Kaho tilted her head in confusion.
"[Name] has been demoted to E-class."
"What? How?!"
To save his breath, Asano pulled out his phone and let her scroll through your latest conversations.
[CHAT LOG]
[Gakushuu]: Father won't explain why you were dropped all of a sudden, he says it's none of my concern but as the president I disagree, so you tell me.
[Name]:  I was nervous about the upcoming exams &
his office was wide open so I tried to steal the answers
That wasn’t exactly true but it’s not as if she could be honest with him, so [Name] told a little white lie.
[Gakushuu]: Unbelievable. What did you expect to gain out of cheating?
[Name]: A high test score?
[Gakushuu]: That's a shame. I thought you were smarter than that.
I'm sure you'll be allowed back once you prove yourself but I doubt you'll get your student council position back.
[Name]: yeah… I hope my end of the workload doesn't pile on you.
Kaho shakes her head in frustration as she hands him his phone back. "This still doesn't explain why she wouldn't tell me. Seriously I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, I love her but people will give me shit for hanging out with an end-class student."
"That's what you're worried about? Explains why she didn't tell you."
"So what, you're going to continue hanging out with her?"
"That's different our relationship was purely work-related, it's not like we have much to talk about other than council responsibilities. I have no problem being cordial with her and wishing her the best."
"I guess you're right, it wouldn't be cool of me to ghost her over one mistake."
While [Name] wasn't the most popular out of the council she was adored by much of the student body due to the fact she put everyone before herself. She'd spend hours helping her peers who grew to rely on her.  That didn't matter anymore, Gakushuu was well aware everyone would turn on her once the news got out she moved down to the lowest class. His father could be a spiteful person but thankfully he wasn't bitter enough of a person to announce it to the entire school, the rumors would spread sometime soon but it would take time for people to believe them. "Teppei Araki here with the school announcements! I regret to inform everyone that Miss [Full Name] will no longer be a member of the student council. We have decided we will not be opening her position, and our council will simply continue as five members. In more positive news the Art club is holding a event for..."
Well, that was ironic, Even Gakushuu didn't expect his father to murder [Names] social life so mercilessly this soon. Gakuhō talked to the girl plenty of times, more than that, she was the only friend Gakushuu ever heard his father approve of. He expected his father to be lenient towards her.
He walked towards the meeting room bracing himself for the mess he would walk into.
Ren launched himself at Gakushuu the second he stepped foot through the door, "Did you hear? Our [Name] is gone!"
"You make it sound like she's dead, get off me." Asano shoves Ren off with his shoulder.
"She practically is dead! She's in End class with the filth."
"She's not replying to my messages either." Koyoma added.
"Does she ever reply to you, Koyama?"
"She replied last week, and it was only one month late! New record."
"Well, we can talk to her in person one of these days and see how she's holding up if that makes you all feel better."
Asano spoke as if he were suggesting it for their sake but in full truth he was a little worried. Not that he cared but everything seemed so out of character for [Name].
Sneaking into the principal's office for test scores? [Name] more often than not was a chronic nervous trainwreck, but a delinquent who sneaks around to steal answers? Not her style. In all the years he knew her, she was a stickler for the rules, it was one of the traits that earned her a position in council and set her apart from other students.
It was too unusual to ignore, he asked himself who could ever instill these ideas into her head, more importantly, how did they convince her to go through with it? He came up with a few theories, perhaps someone asked [Name] to steal the answers in exchange for something. Maybe she’s taking the fall for a friend. In any case, he figured meeting up personally might lead him to unravel whatever it is she’s hiding.

...so, @lazytoday went and asked for all the wips in the wip ask game XD Here we go, then! (This isn’t all of them, yet, though. Just the Gakushuu-centric AC ones: tabula rasa, secrets, Yotsuba, and Dangan... well, Dangan isn't quit Shuu-centric, but he is important in it.)
tabula rasa
One day, after summer break, Gakushuu wakes up to find his father in oddly good humor, humming happily in the kitchen as he’s preparing breakfast. Everybody else seems to be having a great day, too. After the nearly perfect day, he’s almost forgotten how weird the morning was, but then the following discussion takes place.
“On a day like this, one could almost forget that the E class exists,” he said lightly. “The what now?” Ren asked, and he gave a little laugh. “Heh, good one. But we can’t afford to forget them for real. They’re getting cocky after their victory. We need to make sure that…” He noticed the way his friends were looking at him and frowned. “What?” Ren met his eye, looking confused. “What are you talking about, Gakushuu?” His frown deepened. “What? The E class of course! 3-E!” he specified as they kept on staring at him in growing confusion. “There… is no E class, you know?” Araki said. Others nodded. “A, B, C, D,” Ren said. “And that’s it.” “What the hell are you… okay, this joke isn’t funny. I know they beat your asses and won that stupid bet, but pretending they don’t exist isn’t going to fix anything, so stop.” His friends stood still, watching him in silence. Something about their absolute stillness was nearly terrifying. “Gakushuu,” Ren said, his tone very kind and gentle. Suddenly it brought to his mind his father’s kind smile from the morning, and he took an involuntary step back. “There is no such class. And besides, this is school, not competition. The exams don’t exist for us to beat each other, but to measure our growth.” “But…” Gakushuu looked from one face to another, each of them looking kinder and friendlier than the other. “But… the E class? You know, the… the untouchables of this school? Who stay at the old campus…?” “At the old campus?” Ren was shaking his head. “Does that make sense to you? Cause it sure doesn’t make any sense to me. Why on earth would any class of this school be separated from the rest like that?”
So what do you do, when everything is right, and yet nothing is right? ^^
secrets
I’ve written barely anything for this fic, but it’s about Gakushuu deciding he truly wants to find out 3-E’s secret and setting out to do that. I kinda want to do this as a choose your own adventure thing. XD
Yotsuba
Well, yes. Obviously a crossover with Yotsuba&! Gakushuu has promised to keep company to the daughter of his dad’s business associate while they’re having a meeting. He’s waiting for her at the hotel, growing impatient. Then a green-haired girl finally shows up.
Gakushuu stared, a sinking feeling in his stomach. “Miss Kawai?” he called out, just in case. The girl blinked and glanced at him. “Kawai Yotsuba?” he asked again. Her face broke into a grin. “Thank you!” she exclaimed. He sighed. “You’re… Yotsuba?” he asked once more, just to be sure. “Yep! Koiwai Yotsuba! I’m five!” She held up four fingers at him. Gakushuu sighed again. A little girl who could barely either talk or count… just his luck. Why had his father lied to him about the girl’s age? She was supposed to be the same age as he. Or… had the man been mocking him when he had said that? He put a smile on his face. Oh well. Five, fifteen, so what? He could look after a kid, sure.
In other words: a story where Gakushuu accidentally kidnaps a 5-year-old but ends up having a great day.
Damn I love Yotsuba. ^^
Tumblr media
Dangan
Again, kind of obviously, a crossover with Danganronpa. I've posted a snippet of it before, here.
So, I've combined Kunugigaoka and Hope's Peak for this fic. Or, to be exact, the school is Hope's Peak, but Gakuhou is the principal. Those who've played the second game can probably guess what role the 3-E kids have here (not saying it, cause spoilers. ^^ For the game that is!) The story sort of combines the two canons. Add the exploding moon and the escaped Reaper (who doesn't become Korosensei) to Junko & Ultimate Despair, and there are fun times ahead, indeed. ^^
(Incidentally... I realized that I could make Gakuhou the chairman of *censored cause spoilers* and keep Jin Kirigiri as the principal. That’d make perfect sense, really. I'm still torn about this... cause that’d mean I’d have to scrap one plot point I'm really fond of. I don’t know, we’ll see.)

I'm finally awake enough to write something coherent so if I may, allow me to ramble back :
You're 100% right about the fact that this AU changes nothing about their actual dynamics, honestly I used to dislike the sibling AU so I totally get you. But now I just think it'd be hilarious, plus we can put some depth in this scenario so here's my takes on the Asano-Akabane Drama :
Gakuhou disowned Karma so he's just acting as if he has only one son and that's all. Gaksuhuu isn't allowed to mention his brother at all.
There's a woman out there who divorced Gakuhou Asano and wasn't completely ruined by the process and I fucking love the idea of them fighting with a fake politeness in front of their lawyers (I think she must be as manipulative and smart as him if they were married). I'm sure she took a few valuable things from him.
Gakushuu and Karma try to hide that they're related. When people find out they just throw a bunch of lies to explain the family drama.
Karma is petty and angry and hurt so he wants to prove to his dad that he is worth something. He's going to show him that he can beat his golden boy without Gakuhou's special teaching, he'll show him that it was a mistake to abandon him. So the reason why Karma cares so much about not putting too much effort into his work is especially because Gakuhou encourages everyone to push through their limits, and Karma is willing to prove to him that he can be better while being lazy. And this is also why Karma is one of the few in Class 3-E who really cares about his grades since the beginning and is ashamed and dissatisfied with himself when he's not at the top.
Gakushuu kinda resents Karma because he got to leave the home and live happily far from their father. Karma has everything Gakushuu secretly wants but knows he can't have, so he's jealous and wants at least to beat him at exams to prove to Karma that he IS the better son. Crushing his enemy is what he has been taught since childhood and his academic status is the only thing he really has.
Gakushuu thinks his father's weird attitude toward Class 3-E has something to do with Karma being there, but he can't ask about Karma because Gakuhou keeps pretending the boy doesn't exist, and he can't ask Karma himself because... well they're not really close actually.
Their mother didn't want to leave Gakushuu with his father, but the boys were given the choice of whose parent they wanted to live with and they had different preferences. The mother tried to stay in contact but Gakuhou actively stopped her, and she eventually got too busy with work to keep trying.
(I also read a fanfic where Karma changed his first and last name so Gakuhou genuinely has no idea that the boy is actually his son)
Alternatively, if we want to step out of the resentment route : they both dickheads and they do fight for the first place but they don't actually hate or dislike each other. They have a "normal" sibling rivalry and they care about each other. They bond over trashtalking about their parents. And just imagine their friends' reactions when they find out that the two are related. Karma's just like "yeah he's my brother" as if it's not the second most improbable thing in the world after Koro-sensei's existence.
What do you think of Siblings Karushuu AU ?
Short Answer:
It's fine, they're cute... I guess. I don't care much for it, not because I dislike the idea, but because I feel like them being siblings doesn't really add much to their existing dynamic.
Long Answer:
I attempted to write Siblings!Karushuu early on. I have 1 complete oneshot, and I think one WIP (I don't remember if I published it in my Scrapbooks collection).
Thing is, I'm not sure what exactly about them being siblings is a draw as opposed to them being unrelated or just interacting in any other premise.
The both of them already have quite a robost family setup that influences their personality - Karma with absent parents, Gakushuu with his too-present father (and ?absent mother).
Sibling AU fics that I've read tend to shoehorn in Gakuhou to be Karma's father, which is expected since he's an established character in canon, and his role can't be omitted without too much damage to the rest of the plot. (Furthermore, if you're the kind of person who is writing a Karushuu siblings AU, you're clearly interested in the Asano family dyanmic (that's actually all there is to Gakushuu) so you're just not going to omit Gakuhou.)
Unfortunately I've observed that this rarely influences anything about Karma. Karma either remains as he is in canon and it's explained that he's a black sheep in his family to have ended up in 3-E, or the plot puts him in 3-A and it's explained that he either has an impending transfer to 3-E/it's his last chance; or that his nepotism is what keeps him in 3-A. Karma's values and principles about academics and the inherent worth of human beings is rarely affected in these retellings (because that's what people like about Karma) but because that's Gakuhou's main shtick, it feels like the whole premise didn't matter at all.
There's even less to say about Gakushuu's mother because neither Karma nor Gakushuu's mothers are present in canon anyways and it's easy to just explain them away as unimportant, given how much space Gakuhou takes up in the mind. Usually I read that their mother takes off with Karma and leaves Gakushuu alone with Gakuhou, so... no changes there.
Another potential appeal is the sibling dynamic between Gakushuu and Karma - but then I'll just question what exactly about a sibling relationship differs from... any other relationship between two unrelated people. Karushuu in canon already has the sort of snarky-bantering-rivalry energy anyways, if that's the thing you're looking for. I've seen fics that write them as estranged by having their parents split them up as kids, but then that's essentially the same as a childhood friends AU. I guess we really can't replicate familial love and the obligation of being blood related unless it's this specific context. The idea that they're cut from the same cloth, only separated by time, but they will eventually reunite... oh hey, we can make them soulmates, put a curse on them, or make a demon pact.
There's also the resentment angle, as overcompeting siblings tend to have, "you look like the other parent" acidity if we throw in a divorce plot. But that doesn't affect their existing interaction, I feel - it gives them different things to say when they fight, but they're still rivals as they would in canon.
I don't know. My point is that I guess I can't think of a premise that would interest me in a sibling au above any other au if I had the option. Any differences that do arise feel miniscule and don't affect the broad strokes of whatever I'm looking for in a fic.
...Not even incest, which is a hot take. Yeah, I read/write and enjoy incest. But come on, whatever Gakushuu and Gakuhou have going on in canon already is far more interesting than anything I could ever manufacture for sibling Karushuu. The strange enmeshment and tension that the canon Asanos have in Mamasano's absence, ...could work similarly to sibling Karushuu's furtive us-against-the-world codependency under their Father's omniscent gaze... if you're into that sort of thing. I could be, but more often than not the Asano family dynamic pulls me away from looking elsewhere.
I mean, I'm just not into the siblings thing. You could be. Don't take this post as my condemnation of Karushuu siblings, I still enjoy reading them and the quality of the fic takes precedence. I've had my expectations pleasantly subverted before.
Hehe thanks for the ask! I love rambling

Karushuu Headcannons
-Who is more likely to bring in a stray animal?
Karma. He would bring in a cat. He has brought in many animals before and he would bring them in the vet or animal shelter. He would sometimes talk to them as if they were a normal person because he was lonely a lot.
Who puts their cold hands/feet on the other?
Gakushuu surprisingly. He gets cold very easily and Karma is super warm. Karma tries to get back at him by doing it as well but Gakushuu is always colder than him whenever he does it. Bonus: Gakushuu threatens Karma that he would do it to him if Karma does anything stupid.
Who would use more nicknames for the other?
Karma. He would call Gakushuu: Shuu-chan, GakuGaku, Second Place-kun, 3 points away-kun, and other nickname he could think of. He would also call him the cringy ones as well. Gakushuu tries to give Karma a cute nickname as well but he feels embarrased saying it. It was strawberry head. Most of the nicknames they call each other are just insults.
Who worries more about the other?
Gakushuu. Karma gets into a lot of fights and many enemies outside of school. Karma would worry about Gakushuu's home life but would feel a bit relieved that their ex-principal was changing.
Who stays up later?
Gakushuu. Spends most of it doing school work or other stuff. Karma would sometimes stay up late sometimes because he has a weird sleeping schedule. He spends it playing video games or setting up pranks. Karma would try to get Gakushuu to sleep together and Gakushuu does so because Karma was annoying and he couldn't focus on his work properly so he puts it off for the morning.
Who has a weird hobby that the other teases them for?
Karma would watch kids shows and Gakushuu would tell him how childish and immature it is. Karma would get embarrassed and tells Gakushuu that he had no childhood. He realized what he had said and said sorry. He managed to get Gakushuu to watch with him and Gakushuu tells them that they're stupid bur he secretly likes that he could spend time with Karma. Gakushuu would roast the show on how illogical it could be and Karma joiner in. The TV ended up getting destroyed.
Who is more likely to accidently lock themselves out of the house?
I don't really know about this one. Gakushuu was really tired and forgot the key and locked himself out of the house. He didn't realize that until he got home. That was the only time. Karma locked himself out with the door but that was fine because he knows how to picklock or he would get in through window.
Who would slide down the hall in their socks?
Karma. No explanation needed. He crashed into Gakushuu once and Gakushuu scolded him.
Who likes weirder food combinations?
Karma definitely. Since his parents traveled a lot, he had tried some food around the world. His most prized possession is his collection of spices. He has tried to blend some of them together. He had Gakushuu try some. At first, Gakushuu is suspicious and asked if he added poison to it. Karma tells Gakushuu that he's mean but Gakushuu still tries it anyways. Gakushuu has an average spice tolerance but it was spicy when he ate it his face turned red. At restaurants, Karma would mix their food together or ask the chefs for some weird modifications. Gakushuu would be like: Not this again.

*SOBS* SHE’S FINALLY DONE!! 😭
Trying to replicate the Lerche style was...painful and took forever lmao
I’m just gonna info-dump a lot about her under the cut! Honestly less than half of this is relevant, but I figured I’d include as much as I can so you can get to know her.
I’m not making a fanfic for her or anything: but she will pop up a lot in mini drabbles, art pieces, etc.
Kamiya Mai (神谷舞) - Possessing charisma and a knack for navigating around any type of terrain; Class E’s Investigator
“Bravery doesn’t come from nowhere. You have to be scared first to have courage.”
Description
One of the class moodmakers, Mai is fun, witty, and cares deeply for her peers. She puts her all into everything she does and isn’t afraid to stand up for others.
She has an extremely strong photogenic memory and a natural knack for exploring new places, gathering information and memorizing routes with ease.
She’s a skilled athlete as well, very quick, agile and able to use it to her advantage in assassinations.
Codename: Honeybee (ミツバチ/Mitsubachi), Sugino’s Idea
He’s been struck with disbelief after having breakfast at her house once and finding out she puts honey on her pancakes instead of syrup. Also the name is fitting overall, as her short temper and cute looks remind him of a honeybee.

____________
Bitch-sensei’s Fashion Check
Mai has a very tomboyish, soft grunge style. She seems to be equally fond of pants and skirts, although prefers the former for the sake of mobility. Overall her style is street-savvy, and she’s most fond of pink, white, black, red, and gray tones.
School Uniform
With summer being the exception, Mai wears thigh-high black stockings with her uniform. She wears the uniform with little change besides that. Mai changes her hair up very often, but some common styles are space buns, pigtails, or half-up. She’s quite fond of hair clips and wear them everyday.
Street Clothes
Mai wears hats very often, and it drives me crazy. Why cover up that cute face of hers all the time?? She’s very fond of Doc Martens, and usually pairs those with leggings. On her girlier side, skater skirts are a good look for her. And paired with whatever, she seems to really like hoodies.
______________
Relationships
(All of these have so much depth, I’m gonna have to make a separate post o_o)
- Sugino Tomohito (addressed as Tomohito)
He was the first friend she made once she joined Kunugigaoka. They’re best friends and stick to each other often. She greatly supported him during the baseball game against the main campus, to the point that she joined it herself to keep an eye on him.
- Okano Hinata (addressed as Hinata or Lesser Hina)
They hit it off instantly, but upon learning they shared the same birthday, Mai joyfully declared them sisters. They’re very close and bond over a lot, especially sports and thrill-seeking. They can clash at times with their similar temperaments.
- Kanzaki Yukiko (addressed as Yukiko)
Their relationship had a very rocky start. Neither of them liked each other and had very differing natures. It wasn’t until the Kyoto Trip that they began to understand each other. After that, their friendship steadily grew and they became very close. They balance each other as opposites.
- Asano Gakushuu (addressed as Asano or President-kun)
After the first semester mid-term exams, Mai’s family decided to request tutoring for her, so her grades could stay fine/rise. Who else was assigned to her but Asano Gakushuu? It’s a challenge keeping 3-E a secret, but Mai enjoys teasing him and having conversations about anything. And Gakushuu won’t admit it but he does enjoy her company. They grow to have a friendship over the course of the year.
- Kurahashi Hinano (addressed as Hinano or Superior Hina)
They started out as casual friends for a while, but still got along super well. Then summer break began and they found each other to be great bug-catching partners. They have a lot in common, being excitable and chatty. Their conversations never end. Mai is glad there’s a biology nerd besides herself.
- Akabane Karma (addressed as Karma or Satan)
They’re very good friends, and surprisingly clicked fast! They have a lot of similar interests and occasionally, Mai will volunteer to help him in pranks. Karma loves to ruffle/mess up her hair, half out of fondness and half genuine enjoyment at her ire. He calls her “May-chan” in an exaggerated American accent to make fun of her. They can disagree at times but when push comes to shove, they’re there for each other.
-Kayano Kaede (addressed as Kaede, later Akari)
They’re definitely close friends and it’s just so obvious to everyone how much Mai adores her. She’s constantly hugging her, getting her pudding, etc. But more than that, Kayano was someone she could confide in and felt comfortable around. The reveal hits Mai hard, and she needs a while away from her. Once her anger fades, she feels more empathy towards Kayano than anything else. Their friendship repairs and grows stronger afterwards.

Members of the Kamiya family:
Mother: Professional Choreographer
Mai gets along with her mom and they’re quite close, being each other’s only immediate family. But they don’t have much in common and her mother’s demanding job doesn’t allow them to spend much time together. Mai has grown relying on outside friends more for company.
________________
A hidden side of Mai Kamiya
She loves biology...but anatomy and anything human body-related makes her very squeamish. She especially can’t handle the sight of blood or needles before feeling dizzy.
_______________
Extra notes:
^^ Actually that ties into a lot about her. She has really awful test anxiety, which is how she dropped down to 3-E. She either did poorly in the exams for her worst subjects...or in the final exam of 2nd year, she skipped school to avoid the test all together. That’s how scared she was.
She gets very nauseous and feels sick under a lot of academic pressure, especially in exams.
She’ll never admit this though. No, in every other aspect of her life, she tries her hardest to keep a brave face, look independent and strong and everything she doesn’t feel she truly is.
Before I forget to mention this, she transferred to Kunugigaoka in her second year! She met Sugino since they were in the same class, and he was the first friend she made.
She has a lot of pride in things she is good at (sports, art) and it can push to the point of arrogance sometimes.
Will take any chance to prove herself, even if it’s reckless or stupid or ruin things. For someone who’s a moodmaker and loves people, she’s not the best team player but that improves over time.
Generally is easygoing and goes with the flow of the mood...but she can have a short temper, and go from 0-100 fast. Only if someone is insulting her or her loved ones though.
She’s pretty confrontational, but don’t be fooled: she’s more bark than bite. She’s a sweetheart deep down, and all her classmates know it.
She’s bubbly, cute, and a total chatterbox once she gets comfortable around people, and can drop her “cool rebel” facade
Very creative and resourceful UwU. Super quick-witted too.
But she also can be incredibly ambitious and has big aspirations for the future. She’s fairly realistic though.
Her biggest flaws are that she can be self-centered, very stubborn, rash, short-tempered, overdramatic, and slightly arrogant. She has little confidence in herself.
Her name “Mai” means “dance” and it was given by her mother, a professional dancer. She wanted to name her daughter after her greatest passion. Even though Mai grows to have absolutely no interest in dance lmfao. She complains about this but stops when she learns of poor Kimura’s plight.
She grew up speaking a lot of English within her family since her mother used to live in America so her language skills are great...but she is far from perfect at literature. She mostly just lacks the patience to analyze it and finds it boring.
And...that’s it UwU. Also just gonna drop this transparent version because I worked really hard on drawing her and I’m proud 💜

Chocolates for two -Karushuu week 2018
(Yo, never wrote for the pair before, probably won’t write for the other days besides Valentine, but I was inspired so consider this a friendly gift.)
It was alone in a café, surrounded by note sheets, that Asano Gakushuu choose to spend his late afternoon on Valentine’s Day.
Not one of his usual cafés, if usual was a word that could be used for the places he hanged out with the Virtuosos now and then, but at least one that met his standards, at least. Good hygiene, decent coffee, silent enough to work peacefully. Most of all, far enough from Kunugigaoka senior high school to not meet on accident the very students he have been trying to avoid all day, and the sweets they have been trying to give him.
If it was only obligation chocolates, he wouldn’t have minded. It would have been more work, that’s for sure: remembering every girl who offered him something and giving them an appropriate present on White day, as well as a personal comment? That was just troublesome. But so were many things that, in the end, helped distinguish Gakushuu from the others and raised him on the top of the school. A born leader would, of course, show he cared about his subjects in small, subtle ways, and it would look- it would be effortless, a part of his natural charisma. (An apt comparison, ‘natural charisma’. How many part of his public image were carefully crafted, from reading into psychology books, training his expressions in the front of the mirror, or from observing carefully his father?)
However, Gakushuu wouldn’t only receive those kind of presents. Love letters. Heartfelt confessions. Chocolates too expensive for a simple obligation gift. All the things that could make his comrades jealous, or break a few hearts as he had to refuse. He could affront all those trials and end up unscattered, but why waste time and energy on this when he could just avoid the situation all together and focus on what mattered, that is to say, the final exam of the year that would decide in which classes they would all end up?
Really, that’s what the students should be concerned about, instead of romance and dates. Even his own group of friends couldn’t feign disinterest in the festivities. In fact, Ren have been especially pleased by the occasion, but all four of them were guilty, from Koyama’s thrilled expression on the girls he would be able to look down on to Araki’s grin as his bag slowly filled with chocolates. Even Seo’s complaints on Valentine’s day being a commercial day didn’t fool anyone who knew of his -once again- break-up with Tsuchiya Kaho. Oh well. Gakushuu probably should have been disappointed in them, but mostly he was glad they were willing to stay behind to distract their classmates while he left school early.
His plan have been perfect, of course. Nobody had followed him, nobody could have known. Except, of course, for one person.
It was alone in a café, surrounded by note sheets, that Asano Gakushuu choose to spend his late afternoon on Valentine’s Day. However, Akabane Karma had others plans for him in mind.
“Hey.” The boy sat at his table, in front of him, without waiting for any approval. Rude, but wise: Gakushuu wouldn’t have allowed him. “Fancy meeting you here. -As if.” He wasn’t really surprised, to be honest. Just annoyed. “Did you track me down with my phone? Is it something else you have learned back in junior high?”
Gakushuu had memories of a certain incident involving the princess of the Norgo Kingdom. As annoying as class E was, they have been effective, and he had started to slowly understand why once senior high started, along with every test on which he have been able to beat Karma. For each superior score, a revelation on those odd times as a reward. That was what his rival had promised him.
“Eh, you could say that. Say, what are you doing? Studying again?” Karma changed the subject, taking a sheet to inspect it. He knew Gakushuu wouldn’t ignore that, he hated someone going through his belonging. “Not quite. I made a list of all of our classmates and their weak subjects in the precedent tests and exams. Plus the questions they failed to answer in class. -I see, so another study session with the whole class is coming? -Yes, I plan to have us all get the top ranks.” Gakushuu then added after an instant. “You’re free to join us. -No thanks, I’m way better doing my own thing. Are the red names the ones who will need the most help? I’m pretty sure Takahashi-sensei told those two they will go end up in class B. -Not if I can help it.” The reply was firm, as if not allowing anyone to doubt it.
It was a promise. If class A followed Gakushuu, he would lead them to victory. Plus, second year would be easier if the class A stayed united, instead of having a few new students join and having their relationships disturbed. A small voice in his head, far too adult, far too familiar, was telling him a few sacrifices were necessary, even healthy. He should sort out the weak and focus his efforts on the strong. He tried his best to ignore it ; it would probably be years before his father’s toxic influence would disappear, but both of the Asano were making an effort in that direction. Gakushuu wouldn’t have listened anyways. He had his own beliefs.
“My name isn’t on your list.” Karma said after a few minutes. “Of course, I didn’t plan to help you. I only proposed you to join so you could assist me in teaching the others properly. -Just admit you didn’t do your work properly. Here, let me rectify that.” Karma grabbed a pen from Gakushuu’s pencil case. “You better not make any unnecessary com--Here’s your order!” A waitress approached, a smile on her face and a sugary menace on her plate. “Strawberry and white chocolate milkshake with extra whipped cream and strawberry syrup! -Yes, it’s for me.” The woman nodded at Karma’s answer. He certainly ordered before coming at his table. “Excuse me, could I get a refill of coffee?” Gakushuu was annoyed at the interruption, but he might as well benefit from it. “Of course, a moment please.”
The waitress left quickly, leaving behind her a strange pink and white beverage, topped with various treats, white chocolate shavings, bits of strawberry and an overly sweet red liquid. Gakushuu didn’t even want to know how many calories was in that drink.
“Of all the things you could spend your money on, you chose to buy that. Do you not care about your health? -My money? I was actually planning on you offering it for me. -Well, you have terrible plans. -Come on. Be nice. Look, I even brought you something as a sign of peace.”
Karma took something out of his bag, and carelessly placed it on the table. Chocolates. An upscale brand, with a sober, tasteful packaging allowing to see its content. All dark, the only kind Gakushuu ate.
“...You’re giving me chocolates. -An amazing deduction. As expected from Kunugigaoka’s second best. -You can skip the ‘second’. What the hell are you even thinking. -Why, can’t even give chocolates to my favorite person in the whole world?” Karma’s voice was as sugary as the milkshake he was drinking from, which make it even more irritating than usual. “What did you put in it? Wasabi? Chili pepper? -Nothing like that. Look.” Karma opened the box before Gakushuu could inspect it: now he had no way of knowing if it already have been opened before. “A perfectly normal assortment of chocolates.”
They did seem ordinary, upon visual inspection. Of course, it was Karma he was talking about, there would be no obvious trace. Gakushuu was tempted to go buy another box to compare, but he doubted people would ignore a single boy buying a chocolate box for himself on Valentine’s day. What a bother.
“I’m not going to eat them. -Really? I thought you were braver than that.” Karma grinned, pleased with himself. “You won’t mind if I take one, then.” His hand wandered over the the chocolates, seemingly at random, before choosing one to gulp on gracelessly. “Delicious.”
This was silly. Gakushuu shouldn’t bother. He didn’t want to either. But, somehow, it still managed to annoy him. How Karma had planned from the start that Asano would refuse and he would get to eat... everything? No, maybe not. It might be a trick so Gakushuu would try to eat one too, like some kind of reverse russian roulette. Then again, Karma knew him better than that, he could have also planned for Gakushuu to come to this conclusion and then have a good laugh once he will have emptied the box. Damn it.
“Hey, I was going to eat that one.” Karma complained as Gakushuu took a chocolate, the red and orange decoration likely promising spiciness. “I know, that’s why I’m eating it. -Then I’m going to eat the coffee one- hey, wait for your turn at least. -You ate more than one before I started, I’m just filling the gap.”
After a few minutes, Gakushuu had to admit that, for all the bad taste Karma could have, he at least knew how to chose his chocolates. Some of the flavors were classic, most were unusual- he savored a delicious Earl Grey flavored ganache chocolate-, but all were sweets he himself might have chosen if given the choice. That, in a way, was irritating too, because how Karma dared know his tastes this well. But, at least, he could have the satisfying feeling, for this time, of the knowledge his rival haven’t been able to outsmart him.
“Well, that was fun.” Karma got up, having finished what he was here for. “I look forward for White Day. -Wait. You don’t seriously think this counted as a Valentine’s present? -It totally counts. It’s chocolate and we’re the 14th. -You ate half of the box. -Twelve on twenty-five. That’s not quite half. That’s fine, I’m willing to share, if you ever feel like eating white chocolate or marshmallow. -Don’t decide your gift by yourself.” Gakushuu grumbled. So this was the trick. “Anyways, I’m paying for your milkshake, so you better pay me back in triple too.”
Karma stuck out his tongue at him, then left, obviously happy with his mischief. What an annoying guy.
Gakushuu organized his notes, then groaned once more.
On the top of the list was added, in another writing, ‘Asano Gakushuu’, with the weakness category filled as ‘Akabane Karma’.

What do you think would of happened if during the finals the Chairman managed to beat Korosensei; Asano scored in first place, and A class dominated E class using their 'hatred' method?
Hi anon! There’s so many bad things about this scenario thatit should be illegal, but I’m going to dive in a bit anyway -
First of all, it would have definitely been bad news forGakushuu. He wouldn’t be happy about getting first place at all. He was alreadycertain he was going to be first place anyway, so it would have been a hollowvictory for him. He probably would have been frustrated at Class E for losingto such an obviously flawed method like Gakuho’s, which could kill the budding camaraderiehe felt for them. After all, their loss means that Gakushuu’s time in highschool is going to suck if he stays at Kunugigaoka, since his followers are allgoing to begin relying on hatred more than ever before. Perhaps Gakushuu wouldhave opted to go to another high school, rather than attend Kunugigaoka High.Based on chapter 120, he’s clearly opposed to leading broken followers, so he’dprobably cut ties with his peers at Kunugigaoka and rule over a differenthigh-level high school.
The loss would surely affect Class E, too. At this point inthe series, Korosensei has instilled enough confidence in them to be able totake a loss fairly healthily, but I think the story would have changed ratherdramatically in some respects:
As mentioned in the school’s policy, Class E would have beenexpelled after the second semester ended, so they would have needed to find anew location to have class. Perhaps the government would have arranged a newbuilding.
Gakuho asked Korosensei to reveal why he became a teacher ifhe won, so we would’ve gotten Korosensei’s backstory early. I would have likedto see Gakuho’s reaction to Korosensei’s backstory, as well as confirm how muchhe already knew because Matsui never made it clear just how much Gakuho knewabout Korosensei’s past, but that would’ve been the only good thing about this entirescenario.
Speaking of Gakuho, defeating Korosensei probably would havecemented him onto his dark path. If anyone else ever tried to confront him onthe unethicality of his ways, he’d just remember that his “unethical” teaching methodswere enough to surpass an superhuman octopus’s methods. I mean, he went fromhaving his students kill themselves to having them surpass students trained bya superhuman creature, so surely he’s on the right path, right? At that point, you’d have more luck persuading a rock to breathe than changing Gakuho’s mind. Healso wouldn’t have publicly supported Korosensei when the media was houndinghim, so he would’ve shifted the blame to someone else and continued to presideas Chairman of Kunugigaoka, continuing the Class E system for many more yearsto come.
Although Class E wouldn’t be crushed by the loss, theirconfidence would surely have been shaken. A lot of students in 3-E chose to joinNagisa’s side in the Civil War arc because they had faith that they would beable to save Korosensei. However, it’s likely that many of those studentswouldn’t have had the confidence to make that choice, and so they would haveopted for the safer and more pragmatic Team Red. If the Civil War still occurredat all, Team Red would have had a crushing victory.
Which would mean the space arc wouldn’t have happened andRitsu wouldn’t have had the opportunity to expand her abilities using space exploration technology.
And that would also mean that the rift between Karma andNagisa would never have been addressed. Considering the fact that Karma hadalready distanced himself from Nagisa after catching a vague glimpse of Nagisa’sinnate talents, he almost certainly would have distanced himself from Nagisa oncethey started attending different high schools since, at that point, he has directly witnessed Nagisa’s fearsome talents as an assassin.
Speaking of Karma, if Gakushuu chose to go to another schoolbecause of this, Karma’s high school would have been different, too.
Well, those are the first things that come to mind. Basically, the both Asanos would have very different lives and certain events in the story would have changed outcomes. Probably a lot of events, actually, but the Civil War Arc is one I think would be changed drastically based on Class E’s morale.
Thanks for the ask, anon!  (=^^=)

Speaking of scenerios, of course we have to add the cliche sick event! how about if their s/o is sick in bed with a bad fever/cold, what would chiba, hayami, rio, touka, nagisa, isogai , gakushu and karma do?
Finally posted!! Here you have them, sorry they’re short, there was just a lot of them to do!
Chiba RyuunosukeNo less than five minutes after you texted your boyfriend you were sick did he come over to your house with some medicine. “If you need anything else let me know.” he smiled slightly, beginning to get you an extra pillow.“Thanks.” you grinned, relaxing back into your bed. Chiba simply sat down near you, getting out a book to read. “Do you want any food? I can go out and get some for you.” he offered, and you nodded your head. He came back a few minutes later with some bread and some soup. You devoured it all eagerly. That was the gist of how the rest of your day went, with Chiba staying by you, getting you things if you needed them. While it wasn’t exactly an ideal couples day, it was good enough in your book.
Hayami RinkaHayami was never the type to do anything overly extra. She, of course, got worried when you didn’t show up to the archery class you two had signed up for. Afterward, she pulled out her phone and immediately dialed your number.“Hello?”“Hi, this is Rinka. I just wanted to ask where you were at archery today?”“Oh… sorry, I’ve been asleep all morning. I came down with a fever.”“Ah, I see. Well, I hope you get better, then.” she smiled.“You too… wait, I mean thanks. You’re not sick.”Hayami let out a giggle. “Okay, bye.”“Bye.”Later that day, you received a package. Inside it was a beautifully knitted scarf, as well as a note that read ‘Get well soon - Hayami’. You smiled and wrapped the scarf around your neck. Even if she didn’t always show it, Hayami truly did care.
Rio Nakamura“Surprise!” Rio shouted, waking you up with a jolt. “Rio…” you groaned. “It’s literally only eight on a Saturday… and I’m sick…”“I know, that’s why I came over!” she grinned. “I came here so you wouldn’t be lonely! I brought snacks, movies, video games, everything!”“Oh… thanks.” you smiled, looking through her bag full of entertainment. “You really didn’t have to though…”“Nonsense! If you’re dating someone, and they’re sick, it’s common sense to go over to their house!”“But usually they bring stuff that helps with a cold…”Rio’s grin grew larger. “Well, I’m certainly not typical! Let’s just play some video games and stuff, maybe you’ll forget you have a cold!”Your smile returned to your face. “Yeah. Let’s do it.”
Touka YadaThe ringing of your phone woke you up instantly as you rolled over lazily in bed. 10:45. That was the current time. You had a good excuse for not getting out of bed, however.“Hello?” You croaked.“Oh, y/n! Are you okay??” Touka’s comforting voice sounded through your phone.“Yeah, I’m fine. I just… have a bad cold.”“Is it okay if I come over?”“You really don’t have to…”“I will though. I care about you! Be there in ten!”With that, she hung up. You couldn’t deny you’d love some care from her, you didn’t want her to go through the trouble of coming over, or even worse: get her sick. True to her promise, in exactly ten minutes she unlocked the door to your apartment and entered your room.“Okay, so here I brought…” she rummaged through the two bags she had with her. “Some soup for you… tissues… a towel if you want it, I can put warm or cold water on it… some medicine…”Around this time, you completely tuned out to what she was saying. You’d only had a cold, after all, and didn’t need all this stuff. It was kind of her to bring it though. She was an amazing girlfriend.“… and some crackers!” She beamed at all the things she’d brought. “Anyways, do you need anything?”“Some soup would be nice.” You said, taking her hand in yours. “Okay!” She gave your hand a squeeze, then went to go grab the soup. Touka was truthfully amazing.
Nagisa ShiotaToday was officially the worst day of your life. First, you were sick. Second, you were going to go to a concert with your boyfriend today, but now you had to miss it. As you were laying in bed, unable to get up without feeling nauseous, you heard the sound of keys unlocking your door.“Hello, f/n.” the sound of Nagisa’s voice instantly surprised you.“Nagisa? What are you doing here? Don’t you want to go to the concert?”“Well,” he started sheepishly, walking into the room. “It wouldn’t be much fun without you, so I was thinking we could just watch movies together tonight?”You smiled, scooting over so there was a place for him on the couch.“Yeah… I’d like that.”
Isogai YuumaThe sound of the doorbell rang throughout the house as you lazily got out of bed to get it.“Hi, f/n.” Isogai smiled, holding bags of ingredients. “I heard you were sick from one of your friends, so I wanted to make you some soup. Is that alright with you?”“Of-of course.” you stammered, blushing. The thought of Isogai’s food was making your mouth water already. He walked into your kitchen as you laid back down on your couch. The smell of cooking wafted through the air as you closed your eyes.About an hour had passed before you woke up. By then, the soup was done and cooled off.“Here you go,” Isogai smiled and sat down next to you. “Do you need me to feed you?” seeing the blush on your face after he said this, he chuckled. “No worries, I’m only joking.” You sighed with relief. You were not, absolutely not going to go through with this cliche. “Do you need anything else?” he asked, beginning to pack up his things to leave.“No, I think I’m alright.” you smiled. Isogai’s magical soup may not be able to heal you up physically, but it sure did heal up your spirit.
Asano GakushuuWhen you told your boyfriend you were sick, the last thing you expected was for him to show up at your house in a limo with medicine. The instant he walked through the door, you were bombarded with questions.“Have you been taking care of yourself?”“Yes-”“Eating enough, and taking your medicine?”“Of course-”“Getting enough sleep and not staying up late watching TV?”“Um…”He sighed. “Honestly, you need to get more sleep. Especially when you have a fever.”You pouted. “Gakushuu, come on!! I just happen to really like watching certain shows, you know how it is!”“Actually, I really don’t know how it is.”“Well, whatever. Just let me do my thing!”A smirk appeared on his face. “Like that’s ever going to happen. I have a brilliant idea.”“W-what is it?” you stammered nervously. “I’m going to stay with you. Make sure you don’t do anything stupid. Don’t stay up late, things like that.”You groaned. “Gakushuu, please.”“I’m not letting you be irresponsible.”You sighed in exasperation. Gakushuu could honestly be such a mom. “Fineeeee.”And so, a responsible night was spent between the two of you, and you felt a LOT better the next day, to say the least.
Karma AkabaneThe first thing you expected to see when you woke up was your bedroom wall, not the face of your red-headed boyfriend staring back at you. Immediately, you jolted back, which, unfortunately, resulted in hitting your head against the back of the wall.“Relax, it’s just me,” he grinned, leaning back into the chair. “You gave me a heart attack!” you grumbled, laying back down. “And why are you here anyway??”“Nagisa told me you had a cold, so I figured I’d drop by.” “How did you get in? You don’t have a key.”The devilish smile on his face after you brought this question up said it all. You facepalmed.“Geez, sometimes I wonder why I’m dating you.”“Come on, you know you love me.” he smirked, leaning over and kissing you on your cheek.“Karma, I have a cold. You’re going to get sick.”“It’s worth it if I can tease you~”Thus, the rest of the day was spent with Karma teasing the shit out of you. Thankfully, the day after, he got what was coming to him (he got sick too).

Karasuma x Gakuho- 88
LET ME TELL YOU, ANON, YOU PICKED A HARD PROMPT FOR ME TO WRITE AND STILL KEEP THEM IN CHARACTER. Honestly, crack. I had so much fun writing this. It is literally so ridiculous. I don’t know if I succeeded in keeping them in-character and I don’t think this is even legal in Japan, but I tried.
TW: drinking, implied sexual content (hey, they wake up in bed together, but I’ll let you imagine it for yourself)
88. “Don’t panic but I think we might have accidentally gotten married…”
Karasuma hasn’t gotten drunk in years. His job comes first, and it does no good to stagger into work with a pounding headache and cotton mouth. He’s not sure what he’s like when he’s drunk, because his memories are often fuzzy, but he’s definitely not going to work like that. It’s the height of unprofessionalism.
So when he wakes up in a bed that isn’t his, with Gakuhou Asano lying next to him and a brain that’s hammering on every wall of his skull in its determination to escape its prison, he thinks, Well, fuck.
(Swearing is also unprofessional, but again, well, fuck.)
The chairman — wait, no, not the chairman anymore, he resigned — stirs next to him, but because it’s an Asano, and of course no one in the stupidly perfect family has to deal with the sluggishness that comes from having just woken up, he sits up with his eyes wide and alert.
“Good morning,” Karasuma says, his voice low and gravelly. His throat feels like a desert.
“Don’t panic,” Asano says. “But I think we might have accidentally gotten married.”
“What,” Karasuma says. Perfect. Flat. Enough to make a lesser man cower and beg for mercy. Unfortunately, Gakuhou Asano is not a lesser man.
Asano points at the ring glinting on his finger, then nods at the one on Karasuma’s own. They are both made of cheap neon-coloured plastic — Asano’s is purple, Karasuma’s black — and are studded with multicoloured rhinestones. Karasuma distantly remembers seeing similar items at the counters of convenience stores.
“My apologies,” he says, about to politely explain that he can’t quite remember what happened last night, but he decides to dump that. “I would just like to express, what the fuck?”
“I believe what happened is that we decided to go out for drinks, seeing as you’d just finished your rather strenuous job babysitting Class E and I’d resigned from my position in my school,” Asano says.
“And the married part?”
“Well, I became rather too intoxicated to remember what happened after that, unfortunately.”
The Night Before
“—I know you’re a bit on the young side, but it’s remarkably difficult, having such a precocious child,” Asano says, taking another shot. A sober Karasuma would know the let’s see whose job involves more suffering drinking contest is a bad idea, but drunk Karasuma doesn’t care. “Always trying to overthrow me, remove me from the throne I so carefully built. Imagine, Karasuma, every day of your life, your son was trying to steal your position from you. You cannot, because you’ve never had a child.”
“Fair enough,” Karasuma says, downing another shot. They’re in one of the bar’s back rooms, a place normally reserved for more illicit activities than drinking contests, but Karasuma insisted; he wasn’t about to let the bar’s other customers hear classified information. “Fine, then, how about this: for an entire year, you had to deal with this smug, arrogant man who extorted billions of yen from you and made your life difficult at every opportunity?”
Asano has taken a shot before Karasuma’s finished his sentence. “If it makes you feel better, it was a pleasure dealing with you.”
“From your side, perhaps,” Karasuma snaps, wobbling in his chair. His voice came out a little too loud there. Oops. Too late.
“I’ll make it up to you,” Asano says with a chuckle, which is also too loud. “With real dining next time. Come over to my house when my son isn’t home, and we can share my finest champagne.”
Karasuma laughs for a little too long at that. He’s still not sure why. “A year. A year of suffering under your command, did you know that?”
“Is it really that egregious that I wouldn’t let a computer take my exams? It would’ve inflated Kunugigaoka’s exams average.”
Two hours and far too many shots later, Karasuma is declared the winner of the contest. Red-face, barely able to stay upright, and unable to hold a thought for more than two seconds, he says in the most sophisticated slur he can, “So what’s my prize?”
“My hand in marriage,” Asano declares, and punctuates it by almost falling over when he tries to get down on one knee.
Afternoon
“What’s all this paperwork about?” Gakushuu asks, his eyebrows furrowed. He arches his eyebrows at Karasuma. “Are you in trouble with the government?”
“Not at all,” his father replies, signing one of the forms with a flourish. “I’m getting divorced.”
“If I recall correctly, aren’t you and Mother already separated?”
“I’m not talking about my marriage to your mother.”
Gakushuu looks back and forth between his father and Karasuma, the arch of his eyebrows becoming even more pronounced.
“You’re a smart boy, aren’t you, Asano, I’m sure you can figure it out,” and his father is unwilling to give any hints after that.

Note
So, you mentioned how you can create an interesting dynamic with every possible combination within the B5. To prove this, I challenge you to describe (doesnt have to be long, maybe just the vibes) what every combination (there are 10 combos) would be like!
Hohoho, challenge accepted! And I know you said it doesn’t have to be long but, erm...I couldn’t help myself okay? It was supposed to be a simple dynamcs list, but then I went and added some bits and pieces of character analysis.
So without further ado, here are ten B5 dynamics, ranked in no particular order!
1. Gakushuu and Seo
Simply put, these two ground the other when needed. Seo's (later on in the series) not afraid of calling Gakushuu out; that sharp tongue of his is useful for giving his leader a much needed reality check. However, his tongue can be a little too sharp, which is why Gakushuu needs to rein him in every now and then like the good leader that he is. They basically act as the voice of reason for the other.
Other times however, they're not so mature. I've mentioned before how I hc they're karaoke rivals. In fact, I hc it was Seo who got Gakushuu into Karaoke in the first place (because no way would Mr. Eye-bags walk into a Karaoke bar on his own; that's too much precious study time wasted!) Look, these too are passionate about music. Do you know what happens when two hardcore music lovers clash? You get 4-6 hour Karaoke marathon. That's when the voice of reasons job is passed onto the remaining three virtuosos…or at least onto Ren and Araki. Koyama just continues enjoying the musical madness.
2. Seo and Araki
The opposites attract kind of besties. It started off as Araki lowkey worshipping Seo for living abroad, and while Seo loved the ego boost, he did later grow to genuinely enjoy the company. Behind Seo's tough guy act lays a massive superhero fan: Marvel, DC, Sonic Ninja, and maybe some good superhero manga, too; and it's Araki's own nerdiness that brings that side out. That said, Seo's a bad influence on Araki tbh. Prior to their meeting, Araki was your standard good boy— a true stickler to the rules, though he did secretly harbor some dark sentiments towards others, and it was Seo who brought it out by existing with the same radius as Araki. Who knew Seo was so inspirational?
3. Ren and Araki
These two just get along naturally. Their dynamic mirrors Yukiko and Okuda's—peaceful, if not a little formal. I hc these two had a similar upbringing, though Ren's was a little stricter. (I see the Sakakibaras having a slightly higher social status)
Since Araki's a trivia nerd and Ren's a literature lover, of course they'd bond over reading and overanalyzing books, usually romance. These two can talk books for hours, and if Seo or Gakushuu think it's stupid, someone should remind them how long their Karaoke battles usually lasts. They'll shut up real quick. They do this with dramas by the way.
And because I hc Araki to have a romantic side, he sometimes goes to Ren for love advice. Yes, I know a womanizer is not the right person to ask, but that's exactly why I said sometimes. It's not like Araki's planning on amassing his very own harem (He's monogamous, I swear!) he just wants to know how you ask a girl out, what's the right thing to say, How do you say it, is there something as too much cologne, what brand should he use, etc… He asks precise questions.
Still, it doesn't get him any bitches. Araki just doesn't have the cool vibes to pull off a Ren… poor Raki boy
4. Gakushuu, Ren, and Araki
This is what I call "The parent group" since it's comprised of the (mostly) mature members of the B5. Ren and Araki are pretty much Gakushuu's second-in-commands. It's not uncommon to find the three of the staying behind after school for some council work or A Class-related plan (Seo and Koyama don't attend as often either because they don't want to or aren't needed). Contrary to what Gakushuu thinks, he would’ve gone mad without these two by his each of his side. I hc these three were the earliest members of the B5 so they go way back. They have this special bond that Seo and Koyama just aren't apart of.
5. Araki, Seo, and Koyama
Presenting the Kids' group! Seo alone is a bad influence on Araki; add the chaos-loving gremlin into the mix and our trivia nerd has fallen to the dark side. I see Araki as someone easily influenced by the type of company he has—someone who goes with the flow. Sometimes, he's a responsible young man, other times he's stupid teenager.
Honestly, I don't think it's always a bad thing. Again, pre-Seo Araki was a good boy, maybe even too good. It's normal for a boy his age to unwind and partake in whatever stupid shit boys these days are into; you can't expect him to always act like an adult. The question is how far will this trio go before Gakushuu has to save their asses? 99% of the time it's Seo or Koyama's big mouths that gets them in trouble, and 80% of the time it's Seo finds himself as the adult when he realizes they may or may not have gone too far. He's not always stupid, okay? Koyama is hopeless so don't count on him to do anything other than enjoying the chaos.
6. Ren and Koyama
A surprisingly wholesome pair; when Koyama's around Ren, he goes from chaotic little shit to sweet little baby. Ren's the cool party guy and has always made sure to include Koyama in the fun. Ren also likes to sample Koyama's cooking. He's too nice to say no, and usually, it's good so there's no problem. When it's not so good, Ren's pretty gentle with his constructive criticism and Koyama takes it like it were the Holy Grail.
They can also be goofy sometimes. Koyoma's photographic memory makes him remember most, if not all, of Ren's essays and poems, and he uses them in writing tests and assignments. Ren's flattered and it makes his day when koyama suddenly sprouts some of his poetry when the mood calls for it. Seriously, once they were trying to encourage Araki to ask a girl out and Koyama recited one of Ren's motivational poems and Ren just joined in. Seo suffered major second hand embarrassment that day…
7. Ren and Seo
Even Ren's patience has limits, and Gakushuu seems deadest on testing those limits with his overambitious nature. So what does a concerned friend do in this situation? He complains to Seo.
Araki's too nice and will just agree to everything Ren says, but he won't actually do anything else. Koyama, especially early on in the series, won't see the problem. Not only is Seo blunt and honest, but he also understands Ren's concern. They all can see past Gakushuu's BS, but only Seo is willing to be vocal about it, which validates Ren's concerns.
But these talks aren't just limited to Shuu, Ren usually goes to Seo for an honest opinion on anything, no matter how mundane. Sometimes, he likes having a debate and seeing a different perspective.
8. Seo and Koyama
Much like Ren, Seo's always made sure to include Koyama in the fun. He of all people knows the fear of being left out, so when Koyama came along, Seo felt like he gets this guy. Plus, more pals for him :D
These two are the resident trouble makers, plus they've got the sharpest tongues. They're like brothers, and Seo likes to think he's the cool big bro guiding his little bro Koyama through the ropes and all. So inspirational
But like any younger sibling, Koyama. Is. A. little. Shit! Remember how the Kids group gets in trouble and it's Seo who has to fix everything? That's 'cause Koyama would rather sit back and watch instead of lending his "big brother" a hand, even when the mess if his fault. You can bet Seo is not happy, yet for some reason, they continue hanging out. 🤔
 9. Koyama, Araki, and Ren
The book club which of the fantasy Wiz Natsu, Romance lover Teppei, and the supreme lord of literature himself, Ren! This is the byproduct of the aforementioned Ren-Araki friendship and they do more than reading and analyzing. You'd think that having two members of the parent group would keep the chaos to a minimum. Gakushuu sure did, but it turned out having Koyama was alone to summon the chaos. It was Koyama's bright idea to include cosplaying and acting out their favorite scenes. Araki's really passionate about getting the costumes just right, down the tiniest detail. Oh, and we can't forget about the snack.
The "club meeting" usually starts out as formal as a court hearing before gradually devolving into enthusiastic ramblings that consist of analysis, theories, squealing, and random poetry thrown around by Koyama and Ren.
10. Ren and Gakushuu
Originally, I wasn't going to include this since it's such a popular dynamic, but then again, why not include Candy's two boys? It's a canon friendship, but people ship them so much that the platonic aspect is HIGHLY underrated.
I believe Ren is crucial for Gakushuu's growth. The fact Ren can speak to him as an equal may be the reason why Shuu went from seeing the B5 as minions to seeing them as real friends. He could a taste of genuine friendship from Ren, which opened him more to the possibility of getting close to the other three as well. Essentially, Ren acted as the middleman between Gakushuu and the Virtuosos, whether he knew it or not. He just has this soothing affect on others.
What makes this friendship even greater is how much Ren and Gakushuu have some sort of family pressure and can relate to one another. Sure, Gakushuu's case is arguably worse, and I don't think Ren's parents actually bad, they just put a lot of emphasis on their image which can really annoy their son, but it's still comforting to know someone shares the same sort of struggle with you. It also helps with Gakushuu's growth because he then feels encouraged to Ren about some issues with his dad, which takes some weight off his chest.

KaruShuu Week Dec 16
ONLY A MONTH LATE WE’RE DOING WELL FOLKS
DAY 1, 4, 7, 8
25th - Runaway
Sometimes he wishes he could be free as Akabane. But he had to wonder if being that free meant running away from his problems.
Akabane was still irritating, still a smart ass, still fighting to stay number one. But Asano noticed he’d space out at times. His notes often featured a little octopus giving motivational advice.
Physically, the red head was fine. Most others didn’t, couldn’t, see past the act, the slight change that happened every now and again. It was nothing in the physical realm, but there was definitely something that Akabane wasn’t dealing with.
And like 3-E’s secret, he was going to find out what it was.
28th - School Trip
He’d bought all the photos to the rides they’d been on. “Souvenirs”, he’d said. Horrendously expensive souvenirs, but better than useless merchandise with USJ plastered all over it that he’d never use.
He wondered if he fooled anyone. Usually he was sly, but these were the five smartest guys in the school (apart from himself, of course).
But if they’d noticed that he’d always managed to sit next to his crush, they didn’t mention anything.
29th - Temptation
Curiosity killed the cat.
America was vast. The amount of people there was amazing. Sure, Tokyo was stuffed full of people but it wasn’t the same. It was Japanese, Japanese, Japanese, Japanese, tourist, Japanese. America was different. There were people from all walks of life.
There were so many opportunities. There was less hierarchy, less time wasted on useless fake politeness, more freedom, more innovation.
It was different. It was new. Fresh. Exciting. A place he could grow without his father’s influence, a place where he could give them both some space. He was curious.
But every now and again he wondered about what was happening back home. How was his father’s new work venture going? How were Ren and the others? How was Karma?
He wondered if he’d ever be finished with America. He wondered if satisfaction would take him back.
31st - Family Neither of them had excellent families. Karma’s had only gotten more distant with time, partly due to their travelling, workaholic natures, but partly due to Karma’s moving on from his bitterness to them - when he was bitter, they were still his parents; now they were just strangers whose house he used to live in.
Things had gotten better in the Asano household. His mother was home more often now. She’d often done a lot of volunteering, which had left the men of the house to play their power games. Gakushuu appreciated her involvement now, but her watchful eye would have been a lot more useful when Gakuhou was more of a dictator than a father. Their relationship had gotten better, but it was a long road to anything resembling a father-son relationship.
He’d planned to go to America to study but ended up staying in Japan. A minor change in plan, but nothing controversial. What was unexpected was sharing an apartment with Akabane. What was more unexpected (to some; Gakuhou wasn’t shocked, nor was Rio) was that neither found girlfriends despite them being the ‘perfect boyfriend’ (according to all the leading ladies magazines).
(Ren had idly wondered aloud if they were gay for each other during their first Christmas party together. Karma shrugged and said ‘maybe’, while Gakushuu spat out his drink. They started officially dating a week later.)
They easily became a well known power couple, much to Karasuma’s dismay. (“Please don’t cause too much trouble. I’ve got enough on my plate as it is.”) Irina didn’t care what they did, as long as they looked after her precious little princess when they could.
(“Why can’t Nagisa do it?” “You know damn well she’d have him whipped in two seconds flat!” “Kayano?” “Busy! Everyone is busy but you so help out! It’s the least you could do for skipping all my classes!” “That was half a decade ago…” “And?” “Fine…”)
So they babysat. They went to the zoo, the movies, the beach, the forest. Anywhere she wanted to go, they went. A chorus of compliments followed them.
“She’s adorable!” “You’re so kind, helping out a friend!” “You two are so cute! You’d make such great dads!” “How would they even start a family?” “Oh shut up Terasaka! These people don’t know they’re together!”
It wasn’t until after graduation that Gakushuu thought about it. And that was mostly because Karma came home, drunk, and demanded they start a family right now! Usually Karma would forget whatever demand he’d made by morning, but this time he was particularly stubborn.
So Gakushuu googled it. And after thorough research he took Karma downtown. Two hours and three cats later, they paid their bills and went home, with the beginnings of their family.
1st - Escape
After school, behind the building at the back of campus, hidden in the trees - it wasn’t special, but it was theirs. Neither were in clubs - they focussed on their academics, and if necessary, they helped out other clubs when required. So they had time.
Sometimes they bickered, or words became a bit sharper, enunciated by hits and kicks. Sometimes they took a few moments to catch up on sleep, only to wake when the sun was well and truly down - not a problem in the summer, but awful in winter. Other times it was their own private study session.
In the quiet times, they sat next to each other, voices low, sneaking fleeting touches. It was always their escape, their own space, just for the two of them.
Graduation loomed and both hated it. They’d be separated afterwards. A space like this was temporary. It’d never be able to exist outside of this school. A place where they didn’t need to worry about the judgement of others, where they had an ally who was strong and smart and understanding, even if they were irritating and arrogant at times. Someone who they could tell all their secrets to, without fear or misunderstandings. Where they could get advice, a shoulder to lean on, anything they needed. A place that gave them everything the real world couldn’t.
Gakushuu mourned all the things he hadn’t learnt about E Class, about Koro Sensei, about his father. About Karma.
Karma was bitter that Gakushuu was throwing away their rivalry, throwing away the relationship they’d worked so hard to make, abandoning him.
But that was the real world. You could run and pretend for so long, but reality would catch up eventually. There was no escape from that.

AssClass OC
Mai’s Relationships: Part 1
I’m procrastinating on homework and decided to work on this random ass post about my OC 😂
Her profile is linked here UwU
Warning: this is extremely long and detailed
Tomohito Sugino
Tumblr media
Address each other as: “Tomohito” or “Domo” and “Mai”
(The Domo nickname is inspired by one of Fumiko’s ideas UwU)
Besties. Nothing can ever change that. He was the first friend she made when she transferred to Kunugigaoka in 2nd year, and they’ve stuck together since then.
Although their very first meeting was a little unconventional...Sugino almost accidentally hit her with a baseball and she almost threw hands hehe. But they got along instantly after that.
They bonded with similar outgoing, positive personalities and a shared fondness for sports. They hang out all the time and have become so comfortable with each other, they can just randomly show up to each other’s house. Sugino’s family basically adopted Mai, and her family loves him. It’s common to see these two hanging out at a corner store, tossing baseballs at each other to catch, sending memes in class, etc.
Mai is very defensive of him, and will absolutely speak up about his baseball skill, kind nature, leadership, etc. She even stays by his side during the baseball arc to support him. Nakamura calls them platonic soulmates, and both of them honestly agree.
They bicker sometimes since they both can be fiery, but it’s out of fun 95% of the time. The rare occasions they seriously fight are because of Sugino’s overprotective nature/patronizing, and Mai’s clinginess and tendency to get jealous. But regardless of any differences, they will always have each other’s backs. Chaotic besties forever.
Yukiko Kanzaki
Tumblr media
Address each other as: “Yukiko” and “Mai”
They did not get off to a good start...it was rather rocky. They just didn’t have good impressions of each other, and neither cared to truly get to know the other. Kanzaki thought Mai was hyper, brash, and difficult. Mai thought Kanzaki was stuck-up and vain because of her idol status. The girls avoided each other, and Mai was less than ecstatic to hear about Sugino’s crush.
Finally they’re forced to spend time together during the Kyoto trip, when Group 4 forms. They begin to get along more and find a couple shared interests, the ice slowly breaking. Then the kidnapping happens, and Mai stays with the boys and Okuda to find them. Mai is given a job to discreetly locate the girls inside the warehouse and basically figure out it’s layout. She sneaks in and sees the girls, and unintentionally hears Kanzaki’s secret about her 2nd year gaming phase, and is shocked. But now she feels more understanding for her. Mai and the guys and Okuda save the girls, and she especially approaches Kanzaki, making sure she’s okay. Kanzaki opens up to the whole group about liking video games and such.
Later that night at the hotel, Mai admits to Kanzaki that she overheard her family story and rebellious phase without meaning to. Kanzaki says it’s okay, and thanks her for saving them, and for understanding. They both admit they had misconceptions about each other, but see that they’re not true.
The girls have an extremely close friendship after that, sharing interests in video games, e-girl fashion, etc. Mai’s competitive nature dies every time she plays against Kanzaki and gets completely owned and teased. They hang out a lot, and Kanzaki comes to basically live at Mai’s home, with how often she’s there. They’re the type of friends to sneak out of an important meeting to play games and talk together. They both become very protective of each other, and grow to think of each other as family.
They definitely balance each other out in terms of personalities and attitudes. Kanzaki is more calm and rational compared to Mai’s bold and outspoken self. Mai’s open-book nature contrasting against Kanzaki’s aloof image. Even if these differences can lead to some clashes, they both appreciate it a lot, and value each other’s views.
Also they definitely try to help each other with their best/worst subjects. Kanzaki trying to help Mai with Japanese work is the funniest thing to see because eventually they just mutually give up and move onto video games.
Hinata Okano
Tumblr media
Address each other as: “Hinata” and “Mai”
These two are like two halves. Plain and simple. They hit it off super well on the first day of meeting each other, which was in 3-E. Well, it’s more like Mai wouldn’t stop bothering her or starting up conversation lmao. But they had instant chemistry, especially when around mutual close friends like Kayano and Maehara.
As soon as she realized they had the same birthday, Mai happily declared them to be sisters, and nothing would ever change that. Okano rolled her eyes, but secretly loved it. Okano uses that against her, saying that “Since she’s the older sister, do as she says.” But Mai always retorts with “But I’m taller.”
They’re extremely close, and bond over so many things. Being sporty, liking skate-boarding, teasing Maehara, etc. They’re definitely each other’s go-to person for venting and confiding in, since they somehow are almost always on the same wavelength.
They can get into bad arguments though, given their similar temperaments. But it’s over in 2.5 seconds, and after screaming at each other, they’re laughing at memes together.
They love challenging each other in PE and assassination-related things since they have pretty similar styles. They love when they get partnered together, although it’s not as common as they’d like. Overall just an adorably vicious combo of short-tempered cuties.
Justice Kimura
Tumblr media
Address each other as: “Kimura” and “Mai”
Oh boy. Whenever these two are around each other, they just become a wild gremlin duo. They equally enable each other when it comes to being chaotic. They’re just really good friends who can be playful with each other.
They became friends and got to know each other mainly thanks to PE and mutual friends like the class athletes. Before they knew it, they started to just hang out without others, they vibed so well.
Kimura lives to make Mai burst out laughing with his random edgy jokes and humor. There’s just always a lot of laughter whenever these two are together.
That said, Mai is not immune to Kimura’s worst antics, like the parkour incident. For the first time, she gets so upset at him but after yelling her head off like he expects, she just crumples to the floor and cries. She really needed that good grade to show her mom, and because Gakushuu had spent so much time tutoring her...
Kimura feels like shit and apologizes, and they don’t talk for a couple days. Mai definitely forgives him and moves past it though. Sometime during watching the kids at the school, she hugs him and apologizes for going off on him. Kimura says it’s okay since he was being a selfish idiot in the first place. Their friendship goes back to normal UwU.
Mai loves to tease Kimura for A LOT of reasons, but his name is never one of them. She calls him “Shorty,” “Dumpling,” and always pinches his chubby cheeks, to his annoyance. She definitely roasts him whenever he pulls some harmless stupid stunt that results in disaster. But on a serious note, she’s his biggest hype-man and always cheers him on in PE and in schoolwork. If anyone makes fun of his name, she absolutely will deck them.
Karma Akabane
Tumblr media
Address each other as: “Karma” and “May-chan”
Almost everyone was nervous on his first day, and how these would inevitably meet. The class was certain that Karma would test Mai’s already-thin patience, and they wouldn’t get along.
But to their surprise...these two did get along. Really well, actually.
Mai, a natural moodmaker and very open-minded girl, appreciated Karma’s quirks and the odd mystery surrounding everything he did. She thought he made an already weird-situation even wackier and more interesting. She also couldn’t help but have respect for how successful he was at his first try, although it was buried under her envy.
Karma in turn also appreciated her, and how she was so easy to read. Mai is literally an open book, which Karma gravitates towards. In the first ten minutes of meeting her, he realized she was totally fun to tease because of how irritated and snappy she’d get. Hence, their friendship formed and Karma teases her every single day. He also calls her “May-chan” in a very exaggerated American accent since her name is commonly mispronounced like that, and it’s the quickest way to annoy her.
Overall, these two are really good friends, but definitely in a very sibling-like manner. They make fun of each other a lot, but would murder anyone else (outside of 3-E) who dares to. Even though they’re around the same age, it sometimes feels as though Mai is his younger sister. She loves to drag him around by the arm sleeve or wrist, for no other reason to drive him crazy. Also, they both are strawberry snack enthusiasts, which they bond over. Occasionally, Mai will assist him in his pranks, just to try and make sure she doesn’t become the target of one. Nope, she still is. She’s either entertained by or tired of his shit.
Also...these two clash a bit in Civil War, because Karma’s vagueness really frustrates her. In general, Mai tries to keep an open perspective of the issues surrounding Group 4 leading up to Civil War, so she’s not completely pissed at him. But she does call him out and speak to him upfront about what problems he’s causing.
Don’t worry, their relationship definitely improves afterwards, once everyone receives some closure. Their teasing sibling-like dynamic continues to stay throughout high school and in the future.
