#for the record I hate 'angel Crowley is a pretransition Crowley' takes with passion#Crowley repediatly states that he didn't want to fall it wasn't something he chose willingly and it was traumatic and painful for him#and for now I haven't seen any takes on this that could've convince me that this analogue is compelling there#I mean maybe there is some people that see their transition as forced at them! everyone's expirience is different! but no#people get hung on 'he was an angel and now he's a demon and Aziraphale won't respect this!'#(side note: I actually made a plot in my head where this metaphor could work but like it's 18-century human au and it's the only way)#I firmly stand on Crowley putting themself at genderweird ground around Golgotha#when he asked to use his new name#and to make THIS metaphor more grounded we have Aziraphale clumsy but eagerly using correct name from the start#and Crowley's demonic cowokers being like 'use your REAL name' when signing contract#anyway why need for gender metaphor when Aziraphale literally offer (mind you he's not making him do anything by force because I saw some#really uh. far-fetched takes about it.) him to go back to the cult\church\abusive family\pick your metaphor#(side note two: of course everyone can interprent things as they want it's just me being grumpy)
