ScarVio dlc kinda slapped. plot was super short on both ends and was pretty mid but the actual areas they added n the exploration was really fun. i sunk about 40 hours into the dlc just wandering around catching pokemon n shit. i actually completed the Blueberry pokedex. first time i ever completed a dex in my fucking life.

really love Blueberry Academy. Kitakami was alright but i felt the area designs were a little too generic and not very fun to explore. really like Carmine and Bloodmoon Ursaluna is one of my favorite mons now. loved all the Unova references in Indigo Disk. fun game. better than a lot of the base game imo.

Here's something I keep thinking about especially after the end of Starfall Street.

Can you imagine the hell that Director Clavell would have to go through and probably is going through even during the final battles, that he has to explain all of this to the Academy and the entire School Board? Hell even to the parents of the students too.

I mean those STCs would need approval from the School Board and maybe even the League and the local governments of the nearby cities because some of them are located near the cities and towns.

I'm sure he can avoid explaining some of the more sensitive stuff like the more in-depth reasons, the identities of the members maybe, and ahem even about the Clive disguise xD

But speaking of the Clive disguise, he would most likely tell the full story to the school board and that I bet will be a hurdle and a half for him to go through. I mean they all decided to issue that ultimatum or otherwise to just expel team star if they refuse right? Then out of nowhere, Clavell just decides nope I'm going to retract that and do this instead.

Even with a good proposal and the full story, people will still push back on him for that. Can't blame em and I mean he'll still get it all through in the end, but can't imagine it would be smooth sailing for him and for team star and I bet the protag too for a long while.

Then to add to that he finds out later that his friend, the professor has been dead for a while now...

Can individuals who are on the autism spectrum or identify as neurodivergent attend the Academy and challenge the League? How would the school board go about working with a student who's not neurotypical?

Absolutely! Anyone with any disability or illness or other neurodivergence may attend Naranja-Uva Academy. In fact, there are even quite a few scholarship programs to encourage neurodiverent people of all stripes to attend the illustrious Academy.

The teachers and professors are given mandatory training on how to best teach and encourage those with neurodivergencies, though specialized classes are available if anyone believes they need more specific assistance and care. The nurse on staff, Miss Miriam, is a trained medical professional who is available for counseling at any time and an expert at giving what care she can and referring to doctors who can do more than her. She recently got her teaching lisence as well, though she doesn't have her own class just yet.

We care deeply for our neurodivergent students at the Academy, so I do hope you apply!

(An addendum: Grandest apologies for slipping into 'our/we' when speaking about Naranja-Uva Academy. I, Geeta, am also the head of the school board. It's hard to not be possessive when speaking of a school as grand as Naranja-Uva.)

(sure, Clavell and Salvatore also have the thick, dark parts above their eyes, but they don't swoop up into a sharp wing or go past the eyelid like Arven)

who taught him that? did he learn himself? what prompted him to learn?

it's also a very interesting design decision, I think. Like, Arven is never emasculated or masculated, really- he has long hair, wears makeup, has a flowery phone case and loves to cook, but his identity and gender is never mocked or questioned for that. And for a game targeted towards developing children, I think that's really awesome. :)

That's not to say headcannons twisting Arven's gender any which way are invalid- they're not, and if I was saying that I'd be a massive hypocrite- but having a character like Arven, just a guy who has multiple feminine traits that are never questioned or pushed against is just... really great. I hope that makes younger kids who play Scarlet and Violet, who might be made fun of or ridiculed for not always perfectly presenting as their assigned gender- whether or not they're actually trans- to be more comfortable just being themselves. :)

I also feel like there could be some analysis on Nemona being the other side of the coin- a tall, sporty girl with a ponytail who's loud and passionate abt what she loves. And of course, Penny is... well, literally transgender, like, literally transgender, like, literally fucking transgender come on if TTYDHD could give Vivian one line saying she's trans so too could ScarVio let Penny be trans.

I headcanon Koraidon being the kinder, lovable, sandwich-loving legendary while Miraidon is the more violent one. Also Juliana is the one who has Koraidon while Florian has Miraidon. Florian didn’t fully except Miraidon into his team though until the legendary became less violent.

Dendra

She had an after school voluntary gym workout class.

This was meant for students who wanted to be physically fit but surprisingly you're the only student

but it means you get the best teacher to student gym training anyone could ask for!

During your training, Dendra is hitting you with the constant praise, affirmation, and encouragement to do your best.

After an hour, she gives you a sports drink and tells you go rest. As you're thanking her for the drink, you accidentally call her mom.

Her eyes go WIDE when she hears that, her face and ears burning. But she then lets out a hearty laugh and tells you to not expect any homemade meals unless you somehow want a burnt sandwich

Saguaro

You were a student that often never got to enjoy homecooked meals prior to coming here. You never learned how to cook prior to coming here, only really eating instant food.

Saguaro sees the potential in you to cook exemplary food so he offers to give you some easy recipes to try out in your personal room.

One day, you surprise him with misshapen cookies. The shapes aren't quite right but the flavor is great!

He compliments you to no end, taking in great pride that you are improving. He even offers to give you a great big hug!

You hug him and mumble, "thanks dad," thinking he would not hear it.

But no. He did. He cries later in private with how sweet you were.

Hassel

Hassel is known to be the most emotional teacher out of the group due to how much he cares for everyone.

He's known for making a lot of connections with the students. Some go on to become great dragon masters, artists, or just in general great trainers.

Hassel teaches not only the value of art but the value of connections and relationships you make with people, so naturally people draw towards him as a parental figure.

Openly sobs into his arms in public hearing you call him dad because of how sweet you are. Please be sure you keep in contact with this man even after you graduate because he'll be thinking of you for years.

Director Clavell

It's common to see why people love the director so much.

He's kind, courteous, lenient, and overall a great leader to have.

He cares for every student, every teacher, every pokemon.

When you call him dad, no matter whether it be by accident or intentionally, he takes in great pride in knowing you see him as family.

He does digress that though he is not your father, he is pleased and proud of you.

Blue: The original rival, you loved to hate him. :D

Erika: I loved her design as a kid, even though I had no idea what a kimono was back then lol

Bill: No idea tbh lol. I like his hair and that he's a nerd, I guess? Honestly, Gen 1 did not have that many memorable and fleshed out characters, so I kinda struggled here.

Gen 2:

Lance: Honestly, he was my fave in Gen 1 already. I love his strength, his design, his virtuousness, his bravery, his code of honour, his everything. To me he's like a knight in shiny armour from old fairytales. lol I could spend a whole day describing all the things I love about him, but I don't wanna bore you.

Eusine: Probably a weird pick for many because he is kinda obnoxious in the game lol I've always had a soft spot for him though and I really wanted him to get Suicune in the end, after he'd changed.

Morty: I love his design and colours and that he's Eusine's bff and voice of reason.

Gen 3:

Steven: He is classy, wears a really awesome suit, has very cool Pokémon and is still a huge nerd. I love it!

Archie: (I see you, @chipsncookies) Big hunk with a big smile and a cool outfit. Beard. Not a bad guy, actually. Learns that he was wrong and does everything to make things right again. Frienemies with Maxie.

Maxie: Scrawny beanpole with a silly (but very cozy looking) outfit. Secretly a dork. Not a bad guy either. Learns from his mistakes and wants to make them right again. Frienemies with Archie.

Gen 4:

Riley: I was a huge fan of Sir Aaron in the movie and Riley is just as awesome. I love his hat too. His personality is also similar to Lance's, so that's a huge plus.

Cynthia: I really, really like her. She is so cool and strong and her theme is amazing. Just like Charizard she's become too popular and that gets a bit tiresome sometimes.

Looker: Okay, I admit, it took me a while to get used to Looker. But now I like his quirky, funny Inspector Gadget shenanigans. What changed my mind was the aftergame of XY. ;__;

Gen 5:

Ingo & Emmet: I couldn't do it. I couldn't choose who of them I like more. So they share the first place.They're a duo anyway. And absolutely inseparable. R-Right?

Elesa: I like her mainly because of the fanon that she's bffs with the subway twins. But she's also not the bitchy supermodel that I first thought she was. She's actually kind and supportive.

Alder: Funny grandpa with awful hair, but a big heart and a great theme song.

Gen 6:

Lysandre: His design always gave me Ganondorf-vibes. That's pretty much it. His goal is stupid.

Emma: Her storyline in the post-game was by far the best thing in XY. And her theme is so beautiful!

Sycamore: I still wish he had actually turned out to be evil. I still like him.

Gen 7:

Kukui: What is not to love about him? He's a hunk, he loves his wife, he takes in Lillie, he punches Pokémon with his bare hands.

Lillie: Sweet little girl who deserves all the love from her friends and her adoptive parents instead of all the shit her psycho bio mother put her through.

Burnet: She's sweet and smart and kind and I wish she had a much bigger role in the game. Her anime part was great though <3

Gen 8:

Piers, Sonia and Raihan: Honestly... These are pretty much the only characters that I remember lol Gen 8 was very underwhelming for me.

Gen 9:

Arven: Just a poor neglected boy who wants to save his sick dog. In contrast to his shitty parents he's got a big heart, is caring, nurturing and supportive.

Clavell: The twist about this character was that there was no twist. He is just a very kind grandpa who genuinely cares for the well-being of his students. I also LOVE his battle theme.

Hassel: This game really is full of wholesome boomers. Hassel's got a huge heart for art and his students and Pokémon. He's also not afraid of showing his emotions.

The Paldean trainer had been meaning to give his team a well earned wash for some time now. And no one needed this deluxe treatment more than dear old Ogerpon. After years of living alone in the caves of Kitakami, there was definitely much to be desired for her personal hygiene.

So who better to enlist the help of than his best (cutest) friend in the whole world?

This zine's fic was meant to focus on color, which is obviously something difficult to depict in written media like this 😅 Still, I went with “Green”, and also good old fashioned candyappleshipping (gotta love shipping the MC with Kieran 💖)

It had just been a week since summer vacation started in Blueberry Academy.

Director Clavell called Florian to let him know he was free to stay longer if he so desired; surely one of the many perks of being a Paldean Champion was the fact he didn't have to worry about plane tickets or staying accommodations.

Which left the brunet with a couple of options—he could get a head start in his school work, maybe go back to Kitakami and finish the Pokédex Professor Jacq had been pestering him about, heck, he could just kick back and relax until classes started again.

But there was one task in particular he'd been putting off for some time now.

“I'm just saying I'm not the best at Pokémon care…” Kieran was rummaging through Florian's basket with a huff, but not really in protest. After finding the desired item, he handed it over while averting his gaze to the ground. “Besides, I dunno if Ogerpon would feel comfortable if I was here.”

After accepting the bottle of liquid soap handed his way, the brunet frowned in slight annoyance at his companion's comment. “Kiki, you've apologized like a thousand times and we've both forgiven you by now. She still adores you, otherwise she wouldn't even come out of her ball!”

Almost to prove his point, the Grass-Type Pokémon the duo had ignored during their conversation jumped from her seat in an inflatable pool, splashing away happily while calling in Kieran's direction. Florian couldn't contain a giggle from escaping his lips as he handed the boy a Mareep shaped sponge. “So could you please give her a scrub while I handle the masks?”

Kieran stood still for a moment, trying to psyche himself up no doubt, until eventually giving in and dipping the sponge in the soapy water.

The Paldean trainer had been meaning to give his team a well earned wash for some time now. Everything from the trip to Blueberry Academy to their battle against Terapagos in Area Zero had taken a toll, and didn't necessarily help in putting this mundane task at the top of his priority list. So after finally getting the vacation he deserved, he figured a little bath time with his Pokémon in the Terrarium wasn't a bad idea.

And no one needed this deluxe treatment more than dear old Ogerpon.

After years of living alone in the caves of Kitakami, there was definitely much to be desired for her personal hygiene. Vibrant pastel colors were obscured by patches of dirt, leaving her leafy green appearance hidden to most people. This also included her signature masks, which was what brought the Pokémon more sadness than anything else—they were her prized possessions, after all.

So Florian took it upon himself to ask Ms. Briar for tips on how to best care for these ancient relics. He figured if anyone would have good insight on how to handle something like this carefully, it would be her. Thankfully it seemed that some simple dish soap would do just fine.

The brunet scrubbed the grime off the Teal Mask gently with his fingers, making sure to get in between the crevices and small spots that a regular sponge couldn't reach. With a few splashes of water and wipes of his cloth, the emerald shine that the mask was known for began to come through once more, bringing a smile to the boy's lips. He couldn't wait to see the look on the Legendary Pokémon’s face when she saw-

“O-Ogerpon, wait! You aren't dry yet!”

Kieran's squeaks of protest brought Florian back to reality, making him turn just in time to witness one of the most adorable displays he'd ever seen.

Both boy and Pokémon were drenched from head to toe, the prior most definitely having been pulled into the water at some point by the sneaky little Grass-Type. Kieran was doing his darn best to keep the little creature from causing more of a havoc than she already had, but the attempt was futile.

Laughter bubbled inside and quickly bursted out of the Paldean Champion’s lips at the sight. His friend, who could only be described as looking like a wet cat at this point, had his cheeks redden significantly as he puffed in embarrassment. Truly adorable. “F-Flor, cut it out!”

“I-I'm sorry! You two are just too cute!” Florian tried to regain his composure while wiping the tears out of the corner of his eyes. After getting a closer look, he was rather impressed—Ogerpon's fur was sparkling clean, almost comparable to dew on grass in the early morning. Her signature pastel green color was much more prominent than it was before, and the Pokémon seemed to be as happy as ever because of it. Florian sent a smirk in Kieran's direction. “Not good at Pokémon care, huh?”

Caught off guard by the sudden compliment, the shorter boy faced away as he started squeezing the excess water out of his hair, a blush still adorning his features. “I-I mean, I'm used to giving them food and evolution items and stuff… never really thought of baths whenever I was visiting home…”

“Well I'd say you're a natural! Our little girl looks so much happier~”

“W-What do you mean by ‘our’, you idiot?!”

“We caught her together so that means we share custody!”

“What are you even saying?!”

Florian let out another cackle at seeing the other get more and more flustered, especially with Ogerpon joining in on the fun while trying to drag Kieran back into the water for another splash session.

Maybe Director Clavell was right.

One could find their greatest treasure even in the strangest of places.

When you decided to seek out a career in being an instructor, not once did you think that you would wind up with a job to teach at Mesagoza’s well-known academy. 

Clavell was more than pleased to welcome you to the faculty. You were invited to come to the academy and get familiar with the place before the new school year commenced. 

During that visit, you came across some of your new colleagues, who all happily introduced themselves and offered to show you around the academy. All of them were incredibly kind, but you found your gaze continuously gravitating towards one in particular.

The slightly disheveled, easy-going man who looked like he’d appreciate a quick nap.

 From the moment that his eyes landed on you, he smiled softly and greeted you with a cute, “Hello, hello!”

After that visit, you two started to become closer to one another. It was far too easy to fall into long conversations with him. Which only started to become a bit of a problem when you would both realize that you’re running late to your own classes. 

Speaking of your class, you teach Pokemon Handling. The ways to care for various types of Pokemon and what’s necessary to ensure they live healthy lives.

There are times where your lessons branch off to the biology aspects of these Pokemon types, which leads to you and Jacq planning lessons to do joint classes. 

It doesn’t take long for the students to pick up on how you stare at Jacq, most likely the most interested in his rambling, when he starts to get into specifics and the way that Jacq looks more energized and at peace when you’re stepping in to share your own knowledge.

This has led to these students coming up with theories about you two. A lot of speculations arise, questions going on whether you two were even interested in men. Regardless, there are those that compare the way you two are to Hassel and Brassius, which only spawns in more discussions on your guys’ relationship.

Of course, students being students, they attempt to ask in what they believe are subtle ways. Anytime Jacq asks if anyone has any questions, he’s surprised to see the amount of hands going on when he’s been accustomed to them being more prepared to leave over anything else.

There are no words to describe the shock that washed over him when the question pertained to you and whether he likes you. Of course, he’s chuckling lightly while he runs his fingers through his already messy hair as he struggles to come up with a response. 

No, he’s not surprised that his students managed to pick up on his growing feelings. They’re a smart bunch and very observant. Maybe a bit too observant for their own good.

He’ll try to direct the conversation back to the topic on hand though he does mention that he likes you very much, in a platonic sense (not that any of his students believe that part) and considers you to be a brilliant instructor.

The rumors only grow faster once that happened.

If you thought it was only your students attempting to meddle however they can then you’d be very mistaken. The other faculty start to get involved as well in their own ways.

Salvatore offers cute phrases in other languages to say, and Saguaro talks a lot about how you and Jacq should go out on a picnic and the many sandwiches you could make together. 

Once you both start dating, it’s as if everyone in the academy can tell. Many of the students are happy to see two of their favorite instructors with each other, especially when they caught on that they were crushing beforehand. The other faculty members tease you both for doing the slightest bit of affection in the lounge room.

Every time you head into the lounge room, you always have a second drink just for Jacq. And each time, he will thank you by pressing a gentle kiss to your temple.

There are moments where he feels so tired but one glance at you gives him the motivation to get through the rest of the day. He greatly appreciates that you’re able to sense when his internal battery is dwindling down and welcomes the cuddles that you initiate with him. Expect to have plenty of dates that involve napping together.

You’re the one to make sure that he doesn’t drown himself in his research. Jacq has the tendency to lose track of time, unless he has something scheduled with you, so you’re often the one that your other colleagues ask to go find him to pull him out of his work.

Anytime he discovers something new, you’re the first person he turns to. You always listen to him attentively. He does the same in return whenever you get in a rambling mood, especially when you’re caring for your or his Pokemon and talk about some fun facts about little quirks or things that the Pokemon like. 

Whenever he catches you battling for any reason, whether you’re helping him with his research or you’re both simply out and about, he’s always in awe at your strength. 

The second that you turn around to return back to him, he’s staring at you with such a tender look on his face. “That’s my boyfriend!” He praises, eyes closing as he smiles at you. Your strength and Pokemon is a wonder and he will never get tired of watching you.

He baby-talks to his pokemon but especially Mabosstiff. If anyone sees him doing it he will probably melt from embarrassment but it's Fine. He loves cooing at Mabosstiff and squishing its face and kissing its nose while making silly faces. "Who's a good boy" energy

He has dyslexia and is just so so so bad at traditional schoolwork. With all the work he missed he's failing all his classes, but is not really willing to ask for help because everyone knows how smart his parents are. That makes it hard for him because he thinks asking for help means disappointing them. This is especially bad with Clavell, since he's the one who talks about Sada and Turo the most (if Clavell realized this he would freak out tho, he cares about Arven a lot)

(points) inferiority complex. He's so used to being around overachievers that he's overly aware of his "shortcomings" and sees anything less than exceptional as a failure. Being compared to his parents all the time certainly doesn't help. He never gives himself credit for the things he's good at, and beats himself up too much over his mistakes. Boys who have low self-esteem to me

Related to the above points but oh man he NEVER admits when he's struggling. The cocktail of abandonment issues and low self-esteem means he feels the need to "prove himself" by never having visible issues and always working through things alone. He would rather die than cry in front of his friends. Luckily for him, everyone in Team Star is an expert at seeing through emotional facades and catches onto that pretty early so he has a support system that teases out all that buried nonsense and helps him work through it

You know those people who make food and share it with their dog? That's Arven. Mabosstiff is allowed to eat off Arven's plate whenever it wants, Arven spoils that dog rotten. They're rolling out of the Starbucks with a caramel frappe and a pup cup living their best life. Arven also bakes Mabosstiff a birthday cake every year, which is ironic because he doesn't make himself a birthday cake. Anything for Mabosstiff

I know canonically the 'raidon attacked wild pokemon but in my heart it attacked Arven, giving him a scar on his eye that he covers with his bangs. The reason the professor booked it to Area Zero without Arven is less because of the "oh they saw the 'raidon" part and more because 1. It hurt their son and they want to protect him and 2. If the League found out the professor was illegally keeping a mysterious pokemon who permanently scarred a child, they would definitely try and take it away which the professor is terrified of. They didn't explain this to Arven, however, who simply thought the professor abandoned him because they cared about the 'raidon more

Arven is very bulky and very strong. He can bench press more than anyone thinks, and is usually the guy to call if you need help lifting / carrying something. Despite his ability to snap your spine like a toothpick, however, she would much rather use his hands to help and not hurt. Boy who is so so sensitive and sweet

He loves to make cute little shapes with his food and has become absolutely enamored with the idea of bento boxes. Bunny shaped apple slices? Heart sandwiches? Sign him UP. His friends are more than happy to eat all the leftovers and scraps from his culinary experiments, so it's a win win for everyone

None of his pokemon are actually in pokeballs except for Mabosstiff, they're just free roaming. He'll call them when he needs them and they might stay in their balls for a short time, but overall they're more like work partners than pets like Penny's veevees. He managed to win all of them over with food, they just showed up at his picnics and followed him around. It's a good partnership, since Arven doesn't consider himself a traditional pokemon trainer anyway

He doesn't own any social media and is convinced all of Penny's terminally online speak is her trying to hex him. He's very content with this lifestyle and has no desire to learn anything about the web anytime soon. The benefit of this is that he hasn't seen most memes and subsequently finds them to be absolute goddamn riots. The "quieres" meme with a Maschiff was all he would talk about for days because he found it that funny

Nemona:

She is on the edge of her seat waiting for someone to send the "would you still love me if I were an Orthworm" meme to her. She figured out what her friends' natures would be based on their personalities and has a dozen page document detailing their new wormy battle strategy that she cannot wait to share

According to her, the reason she can't hit anything she's aiming for with a pokeball is because her family is descended from the King of Paldea. Because of that, they're subject to a multi-generational wizard curse where their arrows (and subsequently pokeballs) are destined to never hit their targets. No one can figure out if she's joking or not

I'm far from the first person to think this but this girl is autistic. Battling special interest, can't read the room, no volume control, relates everything to her special interest to understand it better, extremely bad at interpreting body language, fixates on tasks really easily, very often goes past her and others' limits without realizing, trouble relating to others, etc etc. Because of her obliviousness in social situations she often ends up being over-friendly to strangers and coming off far too strong, which scares people off

Genuinely, unironically does not realize her parents dropping her off with house staff and never seeing her is supposed to be a bad thing. Her friends are mortified to find out that her parents didn't show up to the League Ceremony when she became the youngest ever champion ranked trainer, but she's unbothered by it. Overall she's less sensitive to being ignored or forgotten or left by herself than any of her friends; she can vibe with solitude

She has a chronic illness. I have not thought too hard about which one but one of them, prolly related to nerve damage of some kind hence the arm brace. It leads to easy fatigue and some dull pain in her arm and shoulder, but the school doesn't know about it because she keeps conveniently forgetting to bring in the paperwork to Miriam. Dendra has her suspicions though

Ngl she gives school mascot energy. She's super energetic, genuinely loves the academy, and is hella tall which is basically a requirement for being the mascot. If she doesn't have the stamina for competitive sports she sure as hell is gonna cheer them on. Cue her rolling up to the bleachers in the most terrifying Pawmi fursuit you've ever seen in your life

Nemona is very very bad at having frank and straightforward emotional conversations but is absolutely SUPREME at cheering people up. Distraction queen. She isn't going to be able to address and solve your problems, but she can turn any bad day into a good one with some ice cream, a smile, and a positive attitude

Nemona doesn't know this but Arven doesn't like her (dw they get better). They used to be neighbors and would hang out as kids. At the time, Nemona wanted to be a pokemon professor-- she was chronically ill / fatigued so her parents encouraged her to talk to the Professor who lived in the lighthouse and maybe become a professor herself. Loving pokemon and being naturally curious, Nemona would talk their ear off for hours, but Arven just saw that as encroaching on the professor's super limited off-work time. He was pretty bitter that this other girl was getting more attention from his own parent than he was, not that Nemona ever realized that. But when the professor got the 'raidon, they became more reclusive, and Arven simply starting ignoring Nemona when she would knock on the door. It took a while, but she eventually got the hint, assuming they had moved or something and simply forgot to say goodbye. Arven is still mad about it all and finds Nemona obnoxious and overbearing, but she still thinks of him as a fond childhood friend, being none the wiser to his distaste for her. Eventually they get better

Her Pawmi / Pawmot was originally a therapy pokemon, intended to loosen any muscle spasms and help with the nerve-related pain in her arm. He's the pokemon she had the longest, but she didn't bother to train him for battle until recently

She's really bad at remembering people's faces, so she acts really friendly to everyone she sees to save herself the awkwardness of treating an acquaintance like a stranger. She also genuinely loves meeting new people and pokemon, so it's not really an act

Penny:

Penny doesn't really have a strong Galarian accent until she's yelling. She sounds like a native Paldean and then gets pissed and hits you with an "OI MATE" with enough psychic damage to kill a man

Her favorite ice cream flavor is "eeveelution sorbet" which is this giant rainbow mashup of flavor. It's lemon for jolteon, lime for leafeon, peach for sylveon, blue raspberry for vaporeon, orange for flareon, vanilla for glaceon, blackberry for umbreon and grape for espeon. Arven feels personally offended by its existence because "it's an insult to good cooking" and tastes like preservatives

In Paldea, "jelly" refers to the fruit spead, but in Galar, "jam" is the fruit spread and "jelly" is gelatin. Penny has been hearing Arven talk about "peanut butter and jelly" for ages now and is dead convinced that Paldeans just have shit taste. No one is aware of this miscommunication and just thinks that Penny hates fruit

Penny hacked the future paradox pokemon. She jailbroke Miraidon and can play compressed midi files on it and change the color of its lights. Future pokemon use super compressed files because things are better in the future and they don't need as much space, so Penny is currently working on getting past that limitation so she can play Doom on the thing

Good luck getting her to show up for class. She'll come and take tests, but god forbid it's a class that cold calls? She will literally never show up. Girl whose participation grades are Zero. Clavell does talk to her and authorize her to have Sylveon out of its ball in class because it's certified as a therapy pokemon, so its usually napping under her desk to help her cope with the anxiety of Being In A Classroom

Penny managed to convince Arven that blue raspberry is a real, albeit rare, Galarian fruit. He actually fell for it before Saguaro explained that she was lying to him. He still hasn't forgiven her for this

This woman vapes u cannot convince me otherwise. She has an eevee-shaped pen and always smells like watermelon. Luckily for her, miss student council president actually paid attention to those D.A.R.E lectures and read her the riot act when she realized what was going on, so she's being forced to quit and is a little bit grumpy about it. Giacomo is likewise disappointed in Penny's choices and has suggested she just switch to weed instead. Penny thinks this is a much more suitable compromise

Her eevee backpack is endless. Penny has pulled out snacks, flashdrives, a first-aid kit, a CD player, a toothbrush, Veevee treats, a cat-ear headband, and a taser from that thing within an hour. Anything you might need is probably inside whether or not it should reasonably fit. Hammerspace type beat

Geeta somewhat regrets hiring her. She does good work and the rest of the staff loves her, but she's also far less willing to put up with office bureaucracy things than any of the other staff and it's gonna give Geeta a migraine. One time Geeta asked Penny to work on a Saturday and she threatened to unionize. Larry thought it was so funny he bought Penny dinner. They're homies now

She can pick locks. Clavell is genuinely and rightfully terrified of her because they both know she can pick the lock to his office and completely wreck the school's security and financial system if you gave her a motive and a half hour
