Okay wow so, here is the Situation of Suckage™:

Uni I went to last quarter is same one I went to a decade ago

back then I had shit grades and dropped out second quarter tldr because seizures and suicidalness

didn’t know till a month into this school year that those grades still effected current me

had very very strict grade requirements I had to meet to not get “academically dismissed”

missed them because I was an idiot who thought she could jump right back into Calculus after a decade off

could either petition for reinstatement (low probability of success) or

just go sign up for the CC

so I sign up for the CC

except CC’s first payment date = 2 weeks before quarter start

so I sign up after payment due

am entirely reliant on financial aid to pay for classes and living

financial aid can take 3-4 weeks to come through

advisors tell me this is a normal-ish situation

basically every Saturday I’ll be automatically dropped from all classes for nonpayment, but I can keep re-registering

after first week I need professors to give me an override code indicating I’ve actually been going to class

as of Saturday only one teacher has sent me override code

wind up in hospital for four days

go to put in other override codes when I get home

“account on hold for nonpayment”

system has me on hold from just one class this week instead of all three because that’s all I’d signed up for before Monday’s auto holds went into effect

call financial aid office

“you just need to make the down payment and set up the payment arrangement”

“yeah my financial aid was supposed to do that”

“well if your financial aid comes through this week it’ll be based on just the one class”

“yeah that’s what i’m afraid of”

rock and several sharp places

Options basically are:

come up with $581.25 (which would pay entirely for the one class currently in the system and count as my first payment for the payment plan when I signed back up for the other classes)

or

take no classes/only the one class this quarter and figure out some other way to pay to live

which involves finding a job before my gallbladder surgery scars have even healed
