Akira just spent all the energy healing their organs and the exit wound on their back that they had to physically stitch themself back together on the front. They wrapped those bandages not even 20 minutes ago. That much blood should not be seeping through.

The Thieves never woke up, they doubled down and started to turn their backs on Akira, avoiding them in the streets. Sumire is somewhere? She still thinks she’s Kasumi and Akira is afraid she’ll do something drastic to stay Kasumi. Akechi lives with his now alive mother but at least he’s visibly fighting against the control whenever Akira sees him.

(They’re desperate. Shadows are appearing in the streets, stronger than they ever should be. People are having sudden mental shutdowns, corpses lay ignored until they are consumed. Killing the cognitions brings Akira no pleasure but it’s a last resort. Shido was not a regret by any circumstances, and they think that expression on Akechi’s face was actually jealousy.)
