I initially thought the new hunger games snippet (with Anakin 21) was set like right before the Quarter Quell. Anakin silently thanking the games and then getting Obi-Wan taken from him by them seemed like your kind of angst. :P

no ok but I know I did decide to keep anakin at 19 instead of 21 when I put the first chapter up on ao3 but this is such a good ask to get because quarter quell fic is so in the distant future but you KNOW I’d start it the exact same way with them in the kitchen, both victors, and anakin thanking the games despite having been put through them because he doesn’t know the quarter quell is coming and obi-wan will go back in - he just knows they’re closer now than ever and he’s finally been let in on that secret part of obi-wan’s life he was always kept away from
