So! I realised I've never made an introduction post to my blog, so here it is! (English is not my first language btw)

🌻My name is Eclipse, but you may also call me Moss!🌻

I'm non binary, my pronouns are He/They/It, I'm also asexual and demiromantic. I've known I was asexual all of my life, but it's been a journey to discover my gender identity and romantic orientation. As stated in my description, I have ADHD (diagnosed!) and mayyybe autism or non verbal learning disorder. I don't really know.

Recently I've come to the realisation that I'm otherkin, specifically a winged cat therian/otherkin.

Otherkin is a person who identifies as non-human, typically as being wholly or partially an animal or mythical being. Meanwhile, a therian is someone who identifies as a specific non-human animal. I still have my doubts, but my experience certainly is pointing towards that direction, with all the instincts, phantom shifts, and dream shifts.

I've doing a lot of research, lots and lots, it's been a really long journey to discover this about myself, lots of internal dialog, but I'm happy to settle into this identity. For the longest time I thought I was just a furry (I still am), but after discovering this community... Yeah, turns out that furries don't feel like the animal their fursona is. So whoops! Again!

I'm a college student studying Social Education, so I'm really interested in education. The list below is a list of my interests, so it's easier for people to know what I reblog about. This blog is not for my original stuff, btw, I have also lots of sideblogs for my own posts.

- 🌈Psycology and education are my passions. I'm also writing a book about a fantasy world with animals and monsters in it, so I'll also reblog a lot about that🌈

- You'll see that I post a lot about Palestine stuff. As a future social educator, I'm very concern with this situation, and this blog stands with Palestine on the matter. If it bothers you, DNI 🇵🇸

Hi Weird Question, but how many followers would you ballpark say you have gotten from posting about qsmp?

I ask this because Ive been on tumblr for a LONG while, I have run multiple fandom blogs and this is the worst follow to notes ratio I have ever gotten for a blog (it is relativity new as well though). I don't want to sound weird and complain about the number of followers I have, but of the 523 posts in my blog, 38 are original posts. I have 236 notes total from those 38. and zero followers. compared to when one of my other blogs was at this size I would have somewhere of a ballpark of 10ish especially with a few posts chilling way above the average of 6 notes

I feel like this could be an issue much like the issue pertaining to people not reblogging stuff, but also I may need to reevaluate the way im interacting with people on this site >_<.

that's kind of a hard question bc i was gaining followers from the trigun fandom very shortly before i started posting about qsmp, so there was a period of overlap, but i guess when i switched to posting primarily about qsmp i would say i've gained approx. 350-400 followers. i typically get anywhere between 100-1000 notes on any qsmp post i make (excluding liveblogging) and i am apparently a more popular blog because i write fanfiction and make analysis posts on occasion which has made me weirdly well known in some places of the fandom and that is terrifying i hate being perceived HELP

ANYWAY i think a better blog to use as an example would be when i had to use a new blog because this one was unfairly flagged for a couple weeks. i used a previously unused sideblog to liveblog and make posts on since posts on my main wouldn't show up in the main tags. i typically got a fair amount of notes, anywhere between 50 to 200 on each post, but i only ended up with maybe 4 or 5 followers on that blog (excluding mutuals i had advised to follow that blog as a backup in case my main went down forever [which it didn't thank fuck]).

honestly?? i assume the lack of following is because a lot of people in this fandom are very wary. qsmpblr likes to hail itself as better than twitter (and it is in some respects for sure, i'm not denying that), but it feels like everyone in this fandom has some kind of Opinion on Something at all times. there's always something to complain about or criticize about anything, whether it be the admins, an event, another cc's character, a cc themself, etc etc. if you follow a person you will be subjected to all of their opinions on every single issue that pops up, even if it's just a dismissal of whatever current discourse is making its way through the tag (and i'm guilty of this myself sometimes, i'm no angel here). there is not a single day that goes by without something negative crossing my dash regarding something that's going on with the smp. doesn't matter what it is, someone will have something to say about some kind of issue no matter what, and that shit gets tiring. sometimes it's better not to follow people lest you find yourself bombarded with opinions. that way you can still scroll your dash without worrying about seeing untagged discourse and infighting and criticism.

All this talk of “I don’t want the egg arc to end like THIS” and “I’m not ready for the egg arc to end but it has to sometime” and “STOP saying the egg arc needs to end already”

What are we even calling “the egg arc” anymore?

Is it the eggs’ being present on the server? Is it the parents having to take care of them?

If by “ending the egg arc” you mean like, the eggs needing less taking care of, maybe phasing out tasks and stuff, that’s one thing. I might not entirely be against that. I get that at the very least they do have to hatch at some point and all.

But the eggs’ presence on the server? How they relate to everycreature and everything? The families? None of that can honestly be called an “arc” anymore. That just IS the Qsmp. Has been for a long, LONG time. I’d say there IS no “ending” any of that. What would even be left, really, if any of that were to “end?”

I feel like at this point we really should just stop using the term “egg arc” at all, it feels like entirely the wrong way of framing anything.

I wish there were more fansongs being written in the qsmp fandom. Or, I hope people start doing that more at some point. I really really do.

Seriously. Why have I not seen anycreature drop a spiderbit song??? Or a bagina song??? Why do I not see more songs from grieving parents??? Why do I not see villain songs for the Federation, or for El Quackity???

Imagine a Chayanne song about his whole thing of wanting to protect everycreature he loves and feeling like he keeps failing to! Imagine a song about the complicated relationship q!Cellbit and q!Bagi have! Imagine a q!Slime song about Code!Flippa! Imagine a q!Roier song about Pepito and how he doesn’t trust him and how he doesn’t want to get attached to another kid after losing Bobby and everything! Imagine a q!Quackity song about all he feels about his memories being erased! Imagine songs about the eggs’ friendships amongst each other, about Chayanne and Tallulah, about Flippa and Tilin, about Bobby and Richas, not to mention Richas mourning Bobby’s death and the whole thing of him originally being younger than Bobby and being older now than Bobby lived to be! If I’m being honest, all the Tallulah redesigning is kinda hurting me inside.

It’s cool for her to look more like Missa and have some more of the death family aesthetic and all, and obviously I understand why they gave her a new model.

But, cc!Wilbur aside, q!Wilbur WAS and still IS very important to her. Their relationship when he was around was genuinely really good and genuinely really sweet, and she very clearly still cares a lot about him. Heck, there’s still a LOT about her that comes from him, a lot that we love about her — her love of music, her overdramaticism, so much of what makes her who she is is because of her being Wilbur’s kid. I don’t like the idea of her connection to him being left entirely in the past. It doesn’t make sense, it’s unnecessary, and it’s painful given how genuinely good their relationship when he was around was.

Yes, q!Phil has at this point been parenting her for a lot longer and been much more present in her life and they’ve been through a lot more together and he’s definitely had influence on her as well, but her connection to q!Wilbur is not Unimportant or Less Important because of that, and I don’t like the feeling that it’s being seen as such and that people are lowkey trying to erase it or bury it.

I get it, cc!Wilbur sucks absolute butt, but q!Wilbur is not cc!Wilbur and does not have to have in any of that in common with him. Heck, to my memory he never displayed any behavior particularly lining up with any of that on qsmp. And I get it, q!Wilbur has been gone for a LONG time and has missed a LOT, but plenty of people on here have talked already about how that isn’t his choice and doesn’t mean he cares any less or wasn’t a good parent when he was around. This attitude some people seem to be taking of “she has Phil and Chayanne and Missa now! they’re the family that stepped up! who needs her old deadbeat dad! she’s moving on!” is really unnecessary and unfounded.

Tallulah being very much also Phil’s kid at this point does not mean she isn’t still Wilbur’s kid, and neither q!Wilbur’s absence nor cc!Wilbur’s grossness means that she shouldn’t be. And I don’t like that it feels like people are forgetting that, or trying to.

Her looking like Wilbur was a constant visual signal of the fact that she IS still q!Wilbur’s kid as much as she is q!Phil’s too now, that the connections between her and q!Wilbur still very much exist, and I don’t like that that’s being taken away from. And I really don’t like that everycreature seems so eager to bury it.
