So what was the main inspiration behind TPiaG? I don't remember if you've said it before, but I do remember you saying that you wrote it to process your own things. I'm mainly curious as to what inspired the plot, and Ark I suppose.

Beyond the initial single scene written to vent about some stuff in my life, and how influenced the end product was by my experiences with self-loathing and subsequent journey to self-love, TPiaG was mostly inspired by my own projects! I borrow a lot of concepts between my stories and OCs, and TPiaG borrowed a lot. The plot is largely original, but the characters are inspired by a whole host of my OCs.

In particular, Twig was based on an early version of the main character of my Hyper Light Drifter-turned original story, The Wisewalk. The modern day MC of the project, the Walker (the character drawn in purple or with a big hat below), is very stern and angry now, but she was once an over-eager people-pleasing anxiety factory like Twig is!

Twig also borrows a bit from Imogen, the main character of my project Starchild, but to a significantly lesser degree than the Walker. She’s very similar to Imogen in how she behaves when confronting her abuser, at least in earlier drafts!

As for Ark, his characterization pre-memory-restoration is based on how I think a lot of my classmates perceived me when I was a teen— I spoke in weirdly formal + archaic ways, and was very quiet when I wasn’t answering questions about the materials in our English or Math classes. After his memories come back, he’s very influenced by my Among Us imposter OC, Soot— he’s very bitter about the fact that he ends up caring deeply about a human who keeps sabotaging his efforts to fulfill his job of killing off everyone on the spaceship he boarded, but she’s just so impossible not to worry about.

Ark’s brand of intimidating formality when he’s trying to threaten someone is very similar to a character named Kieran from another project of mine called The Name-Oath. Kieran is a fairy prince who ends up dating a mortal woman, who later divorces him in a spectacularly humiliating way. Ark doesn’t quite share Kieran’s desperation in his efforts to get back together with his mortal love interest, and would be very resigned to any papers Twig hypothetically served him with, but there’s still a little bit of Kieran in there!

Ark’s anger is also similar to Cocoa, a character who is the embodiment of the MC of Clover and Company’s self-loathing. He hates himself and everyone around him. Cocoa and pre-redemption Darkrai wouldn’t get along, but they’d be compared to each other all the time— and they’d be very bitter about that.

I recently decided to revive my old PMD OCs as Full Fledged OCs...So of course designs had to go with that!!

PMD: Explorers of Deceit

I'm surprised I haven't mentioned this yet but I am a creator of a PMD machinima series and I'd like you guys to check it out.

The machinima itself is created using an amazing tool called Skytemple

Its software specifically made for romhacking and editing PMD Explorers of Sky and nothing else.

Using this I am editing the cutscenes of the whole game to give you all a unique story with unique characters and a (semi) unique plot.

The idea is there are two major deities that control the various timelines of PMD, the creator right named The Stuck, and the creator of wrong named Barbasol,

Barbasol creates a new timeline in an attempt to claim it and rule it for himself, while Stuck is attempting to stop him from doing such a thing as that's not what a deity is supposed to do.

To do this, he and his helped Ice Lord send it Aidware

A Porygon-Z who takes the role as the partner of the story. He's completely aware of his mission and is trying his absolute best to stay in character. However as he continues down the line he notices this world is not the same as it usually is. Almost all the original characters of Sky have been replaced and Aidware has to somehow keep his roll up, find out who Barbasol's evil agent is, and stop them from taking over this timeline.

I think atp it's fair to say my pokemon hyperfixation's come back but the thing is I don't give a shit about any of the human characters or the story. My pokemon hyperfixations have always taken the form of memorizing pokedex entries and making up narratives in my head.

i really cant repeat this enough- its SO interesting to me that the devs just so happened to give kyurem the same ability that the pmd2 hero had. and is also attempting to create a new world for the sake of a different timeline.
