ENT Rewatch Starlog, 26 April, 2024: Episode 3.20 “The Forgotten”

Enterprise heads to the rendezvous coordinates provided by Degra while Archer eulogizes the 18 crewmembers lost in the battle at Azati Prime. He asks Trip to write the letter to the parents of a young woman from Trip’s team who was one of the victims, Crewman Taylor. T’Pol meanwhile is not showing more withdrawal symptoms, and the Trellium is all but gone from her system, but she has lost the ability to ignore her emotions. 

Arriving at the coordinates, Enterprise initially finds only more subspace anomalies, but then as if from nowhere, Degra’s ship appears and leads them through a cloaking field to a nearby sphere.

Archer begins to talk to Degra and the Arboreal names Jannar, then brings them on to Enterprise to show them the Reptilians recovered in the 21st century along with their bioweapon. Jannar remains somewhat skeptical but Degra begins to believe Archer. 

Trip dreams of Taylor and realizes how much she’s reminding him of his sister Elizabeth. He’s called to action though when a plasma conduit bursts, and the flow must be shut off from outside of the ship. He and Reed go out to stop the burn, and Malcolm is overheated, but they are successful. Trip repeatedly confronts Degra angrily, with both T’Pol and Archer get him to back down. 

A Reptilian ship appears planning to capture Enterprise, but Degra works with Archer to destroy them; he has seen the data Archer captured from INSIDE the damaged sphere earlier on, and it all begins to come together for him. He give Archer coordinates though a subspace corridor to appear before the Xindi council in three days and departs. 

Trip realizes how badly he’s conflating Taylor with Elizabeth and breaks down in front of T’Pol, she comforts him and they each lament how they envy how the other experiences emotions. Trip completes his letter, and says farewell to Elizabeth afterward. 

This episode puts things in place for the last act of this season with the maker of the Xindi weapon now fully aware of how the Sphere Builders have deceived them, and willing to assist. Trip’s anger with Degra works here, and we get some really good work from Connor Trinneer as Trip goes through the torment of loss. 

Yes, I still despise the “T’Pol is an addict” storyline, however nothing but praise to Jolene Blalock in how she plays it, in particular the scene where T’Pol comforts Trip.  A lot of things I’d have done differently in her story, but my little TnT/Tri’Pol/Floridaman in Space and his Gorgeous Alien Girlfriend shipper heart feels that scene keenly.  

Also, keep your eyes open for a Trek/Orville crossover before there even was an Orville, as Seth MacFarlane has a short guest role as an engineering officer Trip yells at. And this episode is very ably directed by none other than Levar Burton expanding his Trek credits!

making and I plan on continuing the story

and posting the art about it on my page. It'll

be like a Manga or a comic book page, in a way!!

There was a small, mostly rural town in

Vermont: the population wasn't that big,

maybe about 1000-2000. They weren't that

fond or familiar with the paranormal,

besides a small group of friends and their

names were:

Orville (the group leader), PJ (His best friend), and Jenny (legally blonde).

They had plans to go into the local forest in

the middle of winter and go camping, and

they did.. Not without self protection,

though, Orville's dad gave Orville a giant

kitchen knife and told Orville to hide the

body well (jokingly) or he won't bail him outta

jail. They went into the forest and set up

camp in a small clearing, they even lit a fire!

(after clearing some of the snow, first)

Jenny said that she forgot her bag in the

car, so she went to go get it, but not without

the huge-ass knife Orville's dad gave them!

As she walked she heard a twig snap, but

she didn't step on any sticks.

she looked around and pulled out the knife,

that's when she was knocked down.

a strange, weirdly cartoony creature was on

top of her! She tried cutting the creature but

the creature sliced her throat wide open

with its claws.

It then proceeded to gut her like a pig and

eat her organs since it was hungry.

Orville went searching for Jenny and he

eventually found a trail of blood and the big

knife, he picked up the knife and followed

the trail of blood until he found a little

creature (the alien) eating someone's innards.

Orville immediately knew it was Jenny's

organs, for some reason. He yelled at the

alien and lunged at it with the knife,

stabbing it in its dumb fuxking head. The

alien knocked Orville over and scratched

him up a bit (it fucked up his left eye).

Pj was scared out of his mind, so he rolled

up his sleeves and went to go search for

Orville and Jenny himself, and he eventually

found Jenny's dead body but ran past it,

swallowing his puke as to not throw up on

himself, he then found Orville and a

creature, he was scared and went to go

reach for the knife and his friend, the c

reature growled and knocked him over onto

his ass, Pj screamed at the creature:

"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US?"

The creature alien responded:

"Leave my forest."

And Pj did that, he picked up Orville and ran

as fast as he can, scratching his arms up in

the process.

Tldr: small town friend trio goes camping:

one dies because an alien ate her, one was

badly injured, and the other ran away with

the previous person.

Also I never said or drew what Jenny looked

like so uhh.. she looks like this, basically:

She had a white hoodie on, skinny jeans, a

pink puff coat, and a pink pom-pom hat on.

she's pretty tall, let's say.. about 5'11, taller

than Pj, shorter than Orville.

(She also has a tooth gap)

Give a warm welcome to.. my new series!

I haven't posted in awhile but it's because I was working on this story, I really hope you all enjoy what is to come in the future.

I'll (hopefully) be posting more soon, but take the cover art, for now. :^)

whatever has been posted about it is just the prologue and/or a demo of the story, I was testing the waters =o)
