SO charmed by the little throwaway about ✨dragon lord consort esteemed diplomat revaan✨#who picks the vegetables out of his food and hides them under the tablecloth#everything i learn about this man makes me like him more. he was SO dumb.#now we know where malleus gets it from i guess#also unrelated but once again the fact that i named my mc tamago has had unintentional consequences#tamago take the tamago and tamago tamagao tamago#frikkin love that when yuu gives the egg back you can just be like 'i love him. this is my baby now.' 100% accurate.#also yuu continually referring to malleus as tsunotarou even to the senate = amazing. yuu really has NO self-preservation or awareness.#they fit right in with everyone else#<- see what did i tell you. huge rambling mess.#and i haven't even BEGUN to talk about MELEANOR -- (is dragged offstage by a hook)

I've been seeing the "endeavor is the best written character in BNHA" take for a while and regardless of if that's true or not (because that's an opinion, not a fact) do the people saying this not think it's questionable or off-putting that the "best" written character is a middle aged man discovering after over two decades that neglecting, abusing, and overall traumatizing his wife and children is BAD and he wants to be a better person now???
#i know i have mutuals that like endeavor. or at least want to fuck him. but come on guys pick a better dilf. have better taste#for the record I don't have an issue with the narrative putting a focus on endeavor#i just think the framing of that focus was garbage#using him as a narrative point to critique hero society and the HPSC was RIGHT THERE. IT WAS RIGHT THERE#ALSO. A L SO. i'm so tired of people being like 'hey this man makes me uncomfortable and I don't like him in the story'#and absolute clowns responding that ' yeah. but he's the best written character in the series!!!'#once again WHY has the abusive father been given the best writing in the series as opposed to literally any of the main characters?#horikoshi chose to minimize the ripple effect endeavor's behavior should have had on society in BNHA and shockingly that's not good writin#also because i know people like to whine about 'p u r i t a n i c a l' views. that is literally not the problem here#i'm not mad that endeavor exists as a character. I finished reading I Prefer Girls by 'Jessie Dumont' and it's God awful. Don't waste your time reading it. Also the author's name is a pseudonym and it was definitely either written by a man, or by a woman who hated lesbians. I'm gonna assume it was a man tho because the way love/sex/power/attraction is written +the insane amount of objectifying on boobs is pretty telling
#it was also originally published in 1963 and I doubt anyone besides a man could've gotten this garbage published back then#I did lots of research and one person assumed the real author was Marion Zimmer Bradley but I could find absolutely no evidence of that#so they must've been blowing smoke#but still it's so so predatory and awful and soulless it's just Bad like I was holding out on calling it bad but it is really just plain ba#i prefer girls
