“Mmm, not to my knowledge.” Stevie starts, looking up at Scott with a mischievous grin. “They don’t tend to love the vibes I put out though.”

CHEEK bitten; lips purse to hide the grin. It fails as it does. “Darling, I’m sure they love the . . . what was it? Vibes?” He shoots her something fond before glancing back out the bay window. “Shouldn’t they be out there enjoying their summer hols?”

Watching him poorly try to hide a smile does nothing but improve her damper mood. “You can be sure all you’d like but,” She makes a soft click with her tongue, “I think they’re convinced I’m some sort of vampire.” A shrug, “Maybe I should keep it that way.”  Closing her book, she pads over next to him at the window, leaning her head onto him. “Who knows with kids now.” She scoffs, “They’re probably waiting to see if I murder you in your sleep or something.”

SCOTT could never understand as to why his girlfriend would have such a reputation. She may not be the most forthcoming but at this day and age, who is? Save for him, of course.

“Well, you are pretty good at sucking.” His grin breaks loose; an undignified snort leaves him at his own innuendo. “Aw, babe, we’ll be the scary house in the neighborhood then. How would we fare during Halloween? You think they’ll tell stories about you?” 

He shifts so he can wrap an arm around her, focus still outside. “You love me too much,” he points out, nudging her with a slight hip check. “But wouldn’t that be a way to go.” 

Scott presses a quick kiss on Stevie’s temple before finally pushing away from the window. “What are our plans today, love? The car’s still in the shop so if you want to go out, we’d have to take the metro.”
