as a six fan AND a mono fan i gotta thank you for having our backs fjskfjlskjf. the entire final conflict hurts a lot when you think about how mono thought he was doing the right thing and helping his friend out but six gets hurt by it instead. the way mono's voice goes from being soft and gentle to hurting her ears is uh. hmmmm!! symbolic maybe. i genuinely hope the cycle is broken eventually because damn...tarsier studios fucking us all up...

it sucks so much for both of them and I'm just like (clenches fist) I'm begging people to look past the initial anger and truly analyze why six might do what she did other than raw malicious spite. Yes I was also angry and upset because I care about mono a LOT but also. Six. Six sweetie something terrible happened to you. Neither of them deserved this

I have a dumb headcanon that both Mono and Six use they/them pronounce for each other and themselves,cuz they probably don't know what the hell gender is and don't really understand it's concept since probably nobody ever taught it to them lul (I doubt they had parents,and even if they had they likely to not remember them at all).Idk it's just something that i had in my head for a while,like they are kids and they might actually not know xd

I can understand people being reasonably upset and angry over the ending but then there's some people calling Six the worst names and acting like she did this to be "sadistic" or something as if she was skipping for joy beaming ear to ear after she did what she did. as if she's not literally 9 years old. y'all she's gonna play pokemon heartgold for the first time and eat fruit gushers she isn't rubbing her hands together like a fly after dropping someone she had genuinely at least once come to trust

Do you think Bandai Namco will continue Little Nightmares without Tarsier?

Honestly? Yeah. I'm pretty sure some DLC is already in the works, and they've said they've been eager to continue the series. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it without Tarsier, but I'm hoping they just respect the dev's original vision and don't do anything weird or drastic in continuing it.

*SPOILERS FOR LN2* What tripps me up about monster Six is that she doesn't even sound demonic or scary like the others (the teacher the doctor etc). She sounds like a scared crying little kid. She's not even that aggressive twords Mono she will just swat you away if you get too close and when you do die to her its often not intentional and you get hurt by some rubble she slung around without thinking. That's why the betrayal does not make sense to me because six clearly cared even as a monster.

THIS is exactly the reason why I don't buy it when people are straight up calling Six sadistic and that she did this because it brought her joy or something. Her monster form is herself in her rawest and most vulnerable form. This is the culmination of all the hardships she's faced and the trauma that sticks with her, and what's one of the first things she does? She doesn't attack Mono like literally any other LN monster does. She grabs an object of comfort to her, that music box, and tries to protect it, shying away from Mono despite her being three times his size. And you know what else she does? She reacts to his voice. She reacts positively to his voice and follows him. This shows that at least part of her trusts Mono right then and there, especially because she sets the music box she was JUST PROTECTING down RIGHT IN FRONT OF MONO without shielding it. She was showing it to him. It really reminds me of how Six dragged that music box to the other kids on the Maw (if those comics are still canon). She was sharing that with him. While Mono was trying to free Six from this state, Six didn't know that. She's being distorted and manipulated by the Signal, and it's very likely that she doesn't even completely understand that something's wrong with her form. All she can focus on is that music box, which I have no doubt the Signal or whatever is going on is manipulating her with, especially if it feeds off of someone's fears somehow. Six just reacts accordingly when Mono goes to destroy the music box. WE may think it's obvious that it's to help her, but to Six? It's really not. It's raw hurt and betrayal. It's no wonder she freaks out and lashes everywhere.

So one thing im so curious about that a lot of people havent really brought up... whats with all the abandoned clothes? When i first saw it my first impression was that people just vanished right then and there, like some big apocalyptic thing happened at some point

I'm not 100% certain, but I think it has something to do with the TVs. Spoilers for LN2, but do you remember the scene where one of the Viewers drops from the top floor of a building and just runs headfirst into one of the TVs? That reminds me immensely of the clothes hanging from the TV at the beginning of the game, when you first enter the Pale City. I imagine that at some point, in close proximity to the TVs, you just get absorbed or something like that. If that's the case, though, I wonder how long it takes?

But this doesn't explain why there's clothes here and there from people where there are no TVs visible. Before the game came out I was honestly thinking that maybe the Thin Man would absorb people for the Signal Tower and leave the clothes behind. Although I'm not sure why only some clothes are around while there's countless other Viewers about that haven't been consumed yet.

Either way, absorption in some form would explain the, uh, big fleshy mass. And the lack of eyes on Viewers. I think there's also a piece of concept art that shows clothes lying in front of a TV, so that's something to chew on.

Oh, and speaking of some big apocalyptic event. I know there's a few theories out there that the events of LN and LN2 is after some sort of war took place? Or at least something kick-started the destruction of everything. I mean, it seems like there's things all over the place that point to a "normal" that was once there. Stores in disuse, restaurants, houses and homes...wonder what could've happened. I like thinking that the signal is some sort of like. Parasite? Parasite that just gets into everyone's heads and absorbs them. Much to think about!

Would you happen to know the following fanart or the artist who made it? It was about Six and Mono playing chess they were talking about the kind of pieces each of them would be and I think Mono had suggested they would be pawns because they were easily discarded, but six deny it saying they would be either the queen or king pieces, it was such a cool concept, but now I can’t find the fanart or the person who made it, I was wondering if you knew.
