HELLO ALLIE DEAREST!! im so thrilled to hear you're learning japanese, language learning is soso fun :D

for hiragana, katakana and kanji, flashcard programs/apps like quizlet or anki help. i think duolingo also has something similar for learning the characters? i recommend anki especially for kanji and radicals, it uses spaced repetition for learning/testing your knowledge

the textbook i used was genki, and i think it's pretty good! there are also jlpt exam workbooks and test exams but idk if my teacher used those in our curriculum lmao

some other free online resources i love!!

jisho.org -> the english/japanese dictionary i use

satorireader.com -> readings and audio, with varying levels of difficulty! the articles go along with each audio, they have a bunch of genres from culture to silly little stories. i really like how you can toggle kanji/furigana and other settings, it's pretty interactive

HELLO i haven’t played bg3 in ages but i’m like This Close to going back. i stopped during act 3 because it was really unoptimized when i played it and it was a struggle to get it to load even on my relatively good pc :(

Initially, I didn't think I was going to post about her quite as much as I have, but with how gorgeous and intriguing this game is, there was no way I couldn't!

In 2020, I needed a way to occupy myself while in lockdown. @amochi introduced me to this game - specifically, Solas' character arc - and boom. I was hooked. With no way to play it, I instead spent so much of my time researching and learning everything I could about the game, the world and its characters.

It brought back my love for writing. Elowen was created on a whim over two years ago because I needed an Inquisitor name for a solavellan drabble I was writing, and since then, she's sat in my head and slowwwly become more and more fleshed out. Getting to finally play her was a dream. This beautiful, complex world taught me how to be creative again - I'm so grateful. ;-;

The last two months have been wild. Inquisition has made me laugh, cry, shout at my screen, and pretty much everything in between. I adore it. And while I really use my tumblr as more of a photo archive for all my characters and their shenanigans, it's been really heartwarming to see people respond positively to Elowen, because I cherish her with literally every fibre of my being.

Love you all lots - bring on October 31!
