Hogwarts Legacy Boys
Tumblr media
- how you two got together -
Ominis Gaunt
After a cold introduction outside the Undercroft, you and Ominis grow closer, fostering a shaky friendship over the shared endeavor of keeping Sebastian out of Azkaban (which is decidedly harder than it looks). Ominis realises his excitement over a new friend is something more in sixth year when the two of you are paired up in Sharp’s class working on brewing Amortentia. You are so gentle and patient with him and his lacking potion skills. You tutor him in potions, and although he tried as hard as he can, he’s disappointed when he can’t smell anything once it’s finished.
He does notice your perfume is a bit strong that day. He’s never quite been able to put his finger on the scent- both fruity and floral, some tantalising exotic orange with sweet and floral notes of vanilla. Imagine his surprise when Professor Sharp had commended the two of them on a perfect brew. With a creeping blush, he asks you what you smelled as the class packs to leave. You hesitate for a moment, shoving your potions book into your bag “pine trees and mint”.
You had left in a hurry after that. He had been too wrapped up in his own realisation to question why you left in such a hurry, pushing his own book into his bag, rattling against his jar of shoe polish and tin of hard peppermint candies. He was halfway down the corridor before his brain caught up with him and he tore off after you.
Sebastian Sallow
Sebastian knew he had a strong affliction for you after your first meeting— knocking him on his ass when you dueled in Defense Against the Dark Arts. The year following had only reenforced that idea. You followed him through thick and thin, and pulled him back from the edge when he had went too far. Sixth year had been busy with exams and it felt as if every person in the castle needed your attention- pulling you away from him.
Amit needed help mapping an uncharted constellation, Poppy needed your help with a brood of Giant Purple Toads, Natsai stole you away tracking a dark wizard camp into Romania, Garreth had begged you for assistance locating rare Pheonix feathers he needed for some new potion idea; even Ominis needed your attention on your joint charms project that was snowing both of you in. Every time he pulled you away for a few moments- under guise of studying or looking into some artifact Professor Hecat had brought in, the two of you had been interrupted and he had watched you be whisked off by some well meaning friend requiring your assistance.
He made it through first term before he’d had enough— grabbing your hand and dragging you from History of Magic class when Binns’ back was turned. He had shushed your protests, shoving you into the nearest broom cupboard following your abscondance. You had stumbled in, hand landing on his chest, pulled tight against him in the cramped space. He didn’t need to be an occulmens to see what you were thinking based on how you reacted to his touch- plans were set for the Yule Ball, and a promise was made that you would take him with you on your next adventure.
Leander Prewett
Leander had never been a sore loser before he met you— he had never been a loser at all. He prided himself on his wand work and his class work, top of his year in Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts (the latter likely only due to Sebastian’s penchant for rule breaking), he had been positively miffed when you defeated him in crossed wands. He had been less surprised but no less hurt when you repeated victory in summoner’s court.
Watching you do magic was no different than watching an artist at work. It was under this pretense he had requested tutoring from you in his worst subject- Divination. While he didn’t put much stock in the subject originally, a NEWT in Divination and work in short term precognition would put him over the top in his application for an apprenticeship at Gringotts following his final year at Hogwarts. Your patience with him and dedication to spending your evenings in a stuffy, unused classroom pouring over aged textbooks and drinking earl grey by the bucket full to practice reading tea leaves quickly turned into stolen glances and light caresses when exchanging materials.
It was one of these late nights, your cramped study space filled with tea steam, when passing you a cup of tea- your hands brushed and instead of looking away as he usually would, Leander looked at you and the blush creeping up your cheeks. The next time the two of you had tea, it was at Madame Puddlefoots, and Leander swore he would never take his eyes off you again.
Amit Thakkar
Amit was never shy or disingenuous with how he felt about you. He had complimented your intellect during a shared assignment in Astronomy and you had blushed, giggling at his forwardness. You had continued to work together, Amit becoming more and more awestruck by your brain. Your trip into the goblin mine had been overwhelming- it wasn’t for another day afterward he had recalled how impressed you had been that he could read Gobbledegook.
His face had been tinged pink for an hour afterwards. It took him awhile to find the courage to confirm mutual feelings, you were always being followed around by your “Slytherin henchmen” as Garreth had put it. Eventually, he was able to corner you after class, and the two of you shared a midnight picnic under the moonlight, mapping the constellations and theorising on Centaur star divination.
Garreth Weasley
You and Garreth had become fast friends after you convinced him against stealing from Professor Sharp in favor of you sourcing him a dozen Fwooper feathers from a den you had found not far from a poacher camp west of Keenbridge. It had been an easy trade for him- and opened up a new market for hard to find potion ingredients. He loved your easy smile, your love of adventure, and your never ending kindness toward man and beast alike.
He fell fast and hard, but was disuaged by your Slytherin henchman, following you around Hogwarts and capitalising on your time. You were away from the castle more time than not these days— although you had kept your word on sourcing nifler fur, Garreth just hadn’t expected for it to arrive via your owl with a short note.
stuck clearing out a spider infestation in Aranshire but I still want to know all about your new potion xxx
Garreth had never been a fan of spiders, but he was definitely a fan of yours and borrowed a school broom to go meet you out in Aranshire. What followed was a decent amount of blasting and small brush fires as the two of you battled arachnids out of the small hamlet. Garreth only managed to get tangled up in cobwebs twice, much to his chagrin and your amusement.
As the two of you sat in the aftermath, splitting a slightly squashed pumpkin pasty and picking pieces of cobwebs out of each other hair and clothes, Garreth confessed he had no immediate need for spider fangs or venom as was his initial reason for joining you, but rather had wanted to help and wanted to spend time with you without your cronies. You had laughed at that— the idea of Sebastian dressed up in a black hat and billowing coat like a muggle highwayman was downright comical.
You confessed you had also wished to spend more time with Garreth, but worried about detracting from his potions work (and on a lesser note, classwork). Sensing a chance and disavowing any chance for you to slip him by, Garreth kissed you - cobwebs and pumpkin pastry lips be damned.

NSFW & SFW HC for Amit Thakkar
Tumblr media
As an Ominis enjoyer and Sallow Worshipper, I adore them to death. But let me explain why Amit is so perfect for MC
SFW
The only character who doesn't ask anything of MC
Actually, in-game he only GIVES to MC.
The telescope. Assistance with Gobbledegook.
He’s devoted to MC.
Will literally do anything for MC.
He is bitter he can't protect MC like Sebastian
So he will find other ways to help
He will take care of MC's wounds when they come back to Hogwarts
Becomes an insomniac ever since meeting MC, due to his anxiety for their safety
A hopeless romantic
Love letters, roses and expensive gifts
His affluent background means he thinks it's NORMAL to spend galleons on you
Will always await MC's return with open arms
Inside his arms is the only time MC can escape from everything terrible about their life
As MC gets dragged further into dark magic because of Sebastian,
Amit will be there to bring them back to the light.
When MC feels like they're surrounded by enemies,
he will show that compassion still exists
When MC grows desperate, and is willing to do anything to protect their friends like use the unforgivables,
Amit will be the grounding figure, leading MC with his strong moral fibre.
He shows that there are ways to care and protect your loved ones without becoming a dark wizard
Literally, Amit is the Sun to MC.
Amit’s smile is so bright, so unbroken and untouched by the cruelty of the world
(Sorry Sebastian, Ominis, Natty, Poppy but we all see your pained smile)
MC will do anything to stay in his innocent world
Amit will shed light on the darkest corners of MC's broken heart.
And bring them back to the light whatever the cost.
Amit will compare MC to his moon.
He says MC "outshines every star in the night sky."
As much as MC outshines everyone, a moon cannot shine without a star.
He is in disbelief that he gets to have something so special all for himself.
And he will always remember that as he treats you with utmost love and adoration.
He will treat you like a literal star, plucked from the night sky that he gets to keep for himself.
NSFW
He IS possessive and a soft dom.
MC thought he was just a shy boy who needs to be led at all times.
But my god MC was mistaken. He was just raised very strictly to treat women with utmost respect and gentleness,
So he's learned to restrain any of his urges.
He was hesitant at first to display any desires for fear of scaring off MC or being rude.
Displays the amazing self-control that he was raised to have at all times.
He may be inexperienced and shy at first.
But once he gets comfortable, and learns that it’s okay to want MC, he will unleash everything.
His curious Ravenclaw ass wants to study MC.
MC's every moan. What works for them. What doesn't.
Everything is about MC.
He will go down on MC until they're shaking underneath him.
Smiling softly down at them as they have their fourth orgasm.
When MC starts to beg they can't take it anymore, Amit will tilt his head.
And gives the most charming smile as he asks "Your body seems to be begging otherwise,"
As he glances down at MC's core still pulling him in.
Studies everything about sex to please MC.
Reads up on Kama Sutra as he furiously blushes and tries to hide behind the pages.
Will literally train himself to last longer and come back quicker for round 2 and 3 so he can give MC the pleasure they deserve
---
There WILL be other guys who underestimate Amit and approach MC.
Sebastian offering his scarf to MC because it's cold.
Amit will somehow always find MC in dicey situations and intervene before things escalate.
"Thank you, Sebastian,"
Amit will smile, but his eyes are narrowed into threatening slits.
"But I can take care of MC just fine.”
Rest assured, he would later be taking MC in the Room of Requirement in a domineering display of possessiveness.
His favourite position is missionary.
Snaking his fingers with MC’s as he whispers how adorable MC looks underneath him
His favourite part is seeing a side of MC nobody else has seen before.
The fact that he gets to have their moans, their euphoric expressions, their incoherent babble all to himself
It ignites something he's never felt before
On particularly stressful days, when MC gets distracted by anxious thoughts about exams, ancient magic, etc.,
Amit will pound even faster, deeper, and rougher until MC can't think of anything but him
He pouts, "I want you to be thinking about just me."
He'll smile contently when MC begins to mutter his name like a mantra, knowing they're close.
Making MC come and forget everything is a massive ego-boost for him.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk. Based on the fic 太陽と月, which has thrusted me fully into Amit phase.

Tumblr media
SEBASTIAN SALLOW had no problems getting someone to agree to going to the Yule Ball with him, he was charming, charismatic, handsome, clever and funny. It wasn’t his lack of ability to find someone that was hindering him, but rather his inability to actually ask the person he wanted to go with: you.
You were sitting in the Undercroft with him one evening, drinking your classic fire-whisky and chatting about your upcoming exams and how the Yule Ball was a pleasant distraction when Sebastian asked who you were going with. Curiosity glimmered behind his brown eyes as he watched your face twist and turn, a variety of emotions flickering through your expressions. “I’m not going with anyone yet,” you replied with a slight shrug.
“What do you mean, ‘yet’?” Sebastian asked as he raised an eyebrow at your response.
“Well, Amit actually asked me-” you started, but Sebastian cut you off.
“Amit huh? That’s nice,” jealousy bubbled in his chest at the thought of you actually going to the ball with Amit.
“If you'd be so kind as to let me finish before interrupting me,” you reply with a cough, rolling your eyes. “Amit asked me to go with him, but there’s someone else I want to go with.”
Sebastian took a large swig of the amber liquid before responding. “Someone else you want to go with?” For a second, with the way you were looking at him, Sebastian felt some hope swirl through his chest but that was short lived when you replied.
“Yeah, but I doubt this person would actually want to go with me. I might just agree and go with Amit… What do you think?”
“Absolutely not,” Sebastian shook his head, determined to not let you attend the Yule Ball with Amit. Amit was nice enough, but he couldn’t treat you the way Sebastian could. “Who is this other person?”
“It’s nobody,” you mumbled, averting your gaze away from Sebastians.
“Why wouldn’t this other person not want to go with you? You’re smart, beautiful, funny and don’t even get me started on your personality!” Sebastian exclaimed, his voice slightly slurred from the fire-whisky. Your eyes widened at his words, a slight pink blush scattered across your cheeks in response. “Anybody would be happy to go with you.”
“You think so?” you asked Sebastian, playing with the hem of your shirt.
“I know so,” Sebastian whispered as he leaned in slightly closer to you. Whether it was the courage he had gained from fire-whisky or his dire need to go to the ball with you, Sebastian finally spoke up. “I don’t think you should go to the ball with Amit. In fact, I don’t think you should go with anyone.”
Your eyes widened at his words and you visibly frowned at him. “I want to go, Sebastian. I’m not going to not go just because you’re jealous.”
Sebastian smirked at you, shaking his head. “First off, I’m hardly jealous of Amit. Secondly, I’m not saying don’t go to the Yule Ball Y/N. What I’m saying is you should go with someone else.”
“And who would that be? Because I’m pretty sure the only person who wants to go with me is Amit.”
“That’s not true,” he whispered, his voice husky. He leaned in even closer, so-much-so you could feel his breath fanning across your face. “I want to go with you, as more than just friends.”
You blinked rapidly at Sebastian, wanting to make sure you heard him right. “You? Want to go with me?” Sebastian just nodded, watching as you thought and with every second that you didn’t respond to him, Sebastian couldn’t help but feel a little dejected. That was until you grinned at him. “I’d love to go with you, Sebastian.”
He was shocked. “Really?”
“Really,” you nodded your head.
Sebastian placed his glass of fire-whisky on the stone floor of the Undercroft before cupping your face in his hands gently. He caressed your cheeks with his thumbs before capturing your lips in a soft, gentle kiss. After a few seconds, Sebastian pulled away and rested his forehead against yours. “I’m glad. I’ll pick you up from your common room tomorrow evening, about six?”
“Sounds wonderful,” you whispered back to him, your lips tingling from the kiss. You couldn’t wait to see what the Yule Ball had in store for you and Sebastian, but whatever it was, you were eager.
Tumblr media
OMINIS GAUNT hated the idea of the Yule Ball, after all, socialising with his peers didn’t exactly sound like a good time to him. The only reason he was going at all was because you and Sebastian wouldn’t stop pressuring him about it. You were sitting next to Ominis in Charms class when you turned to look at him, placing a hand on his shoulder to gain his attention. “What is it?” He asked, turning his head to your general direction. He couldn’t see you, but he could sense you were staring at him.
“Who are you going to the Ball with?” You asked softly, your voice a whisper so as to not disturb the class.
“You and Sebastian?” Ominis replied, his voice sounding more like a confused question than an answer.
“I mean who’s your date?”
“Date?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Yeah, your date,” you replied as if it was the most obvious question in the world.
“I don’t have a date,” Ominis replied, swallowing the lump in his throat. Truth be told, he had wanted to ask you to be his date but had disregarded that idea altogether when Sebastian had told him to ‘dream on’.
“Ominis!” You whispered.
“What?” He replied, his voice a low hiss.
“You need a date!” You responded.
“No. I don’t,” Ominis hissed. Truth be told, if he couldn’t go with you then he didn’t even want to go. “Besides, who would want to go to a ball with a man like me? I’m blind, remember?”
“So?” You asked, furrowing your eyebrows. “What does that have to do with anything?”
“Well,” Ominis cleared his throat and sighed. “Usually women like to be complimented on how beautiful they look. I can’t see a thing.”
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes at Ominis. He was always putting himself down because he couldn’t see or compliment someone. “You compliment me all the time even though you can’t see. Just because you’re blind doesn’t mean you can’t show someone that you care.”
Ominis shrugged his shoulders, his behaviour half-assed as he turned his attention back to the front of the classroom. “It just comes naturally with you,” he mumbled under his breath, too low for you to hear. You drop the conversation and pay attention to Professor Ronan’s class, all while Ominis thought about asking you to the Yule Ball. He knew that Sebastian had implied that he shouldn’t even bother asking, but Ominis couldn’t help but think of the possibility you could say yes. Sure he was pessimistic about most things, but he couldn’t help but feel a slight sense of optimism when he thought about it.
Ominis, as usual, gathered his things after class and took his wand out of his robe ready to make his way back to the Slytherin common room when he felt a hand intertwine with his. “What is it, Y/N?” He asked, his voice full of intrigue.
“How did you know it was me?” You asked softly, your eyes widening.
“A few reasons,” Ominis replied sheepishly before changing the subject. He didn’t want to admit to you that he had memorised the size and shape of your hand in his.
“Who do you want to go to the ball with? Come on, I’ll help you!” You exclaimed, dragging him along the corridors.
Ominis let out a sigh and stopped in his footsteps forcing you to be pulled back against his body. You stammered out a quick sorry and put some distance between the two of you as you looked away from him with a faint blush on your cheeks. You were glad, in a way, that Ominis couldn’t see your flushed face. “Look, Y/N, Sebastian told me that I shouldn’t tell you but I can’t hold it in-”
“Tell me what?” You asked.
Ominis squeezed your hand lightly before running his free hand through his blonde hair, letting out a nervous exhale. “Will you come to the ball with me?” His voice was a whisper, almost as though he didn’t want anybody else around the two of you to hear.
“Are you, Ominis Gaunt, asking me to the Yule Ball?” You asked, a sly smile appearing on your lips.
“I understand, I’m sorry I-” Ominis stopped his sentence in his tracks as your response and inflections fully registered in his mind. Ominis knew when you were smiling, and he knew when you were about to agree to something. “Wait… is that a yes?”
“Of course it’s a yes, you idiot!” You exclaimed, squeezing his hand tightly. Ominis used his thumb to rub small, soothing circles on the back of your hand as he let out a breath he never knew he had been holding in. “Also, you spoke to Sebastian about this?” Ominis nodded his head sheepishly, his milky eyes looking away from your direction as if embarrassed. “Ominis you know never to listen to Sebastian’s opinion,” you chuckled, shaking your head in faux disapproval at your friend's judgement.
“I know but he really had me convinced this time,” Ominis shrugged in an attempt to defend himself.
“I’d be honoured to go to the ball with you Ominis,” you smiled softly before standing on your tiptoes to press a kiss to his cheek. “I’ll see you tomorrow evening.”
Ominis felt his face redden at the feel of your lips against his cold cheek, electricity igniting deep within him. He couldn’t, in that moment, find it in himself to kiss your lips. The moment he kissed you had to be perfect, and what moment was perfect other than a ball?
Tumblr media
GARRETH WEASLEY had asked you to the Yule Ball plenty of times during the run-up. In Charms class, in Potions class, hell he’d even come up to you during lunch and make a grand gesture, but each time you would turn him down. Not because you didn’t want to go with him, you really did want to be the girl on his arm, but you saw his asking as nothing more than what you thought it was: a joke. He had approached you yet again asking you the same question, if anything the man was persistent. “Will you go to the Yule Ball with me Y/N?” Garreth asked, on one knee as if he was proposing to you.
“Garreth I’ve told you a million times, no.”
“Why not?” He pouted, standing up and looking at you as if he were a lost puppy dog.
You pinched the bridge of your nose in frustration. “Look Garreth, you’re a really really sweet guy. You are-”
“If I’m so sweet and charming then why won’t you be my date?” He interrupted, causing you to roll your eyes at him.
“I never said you were charming, but if you let me finish I’d tell you why,” you snapped, clearly beyond frustrated with the ginger's antics. “I won’t go to the ball with you because I don’t want to be asked out as a joke. I want to go with someone who genuinely wants to go with me.” Garreth stood there looking rather stunned at your admission, and he quickly realised that you thought his hopeless attempts of asking you to be his partner at the Yule Ball was a joke. Before he could say anything in response you turned on your heels and walked away to your next class.
That evening, you had snuck out of your common room to go to the astronomy tower. The stars were shining bright and it was certainly a sight to behold. Your mind was swimming with various different thoughts between your exams and the upcoming Yule Ball when suddenly a cough caught your attention. You spun around coming face-to-face with Garreth. He eyed your curiously. “What’re you doing out here?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Needed some fresh air,” you replied, leaning against the railing of the astronomy tower.
“It’s almost midnight,” Garreth reminded you.
“So?” You asked, shrugging slightly. “What are you doing out here?”
“Needed some fresh air,” he repeated your lines back to you as he stalked over to you. Grinning at him, you rolled your eyes playfully.
“What’re you really doing out here?” You asked after a few seconds of comfortable silence.
“I had a feeling you’d be out of bed,” Garreth replied. “I wanted to speak to you.”
“Look, Garreth, if you’re going to make another joke about us going to the Yule Ball together, save it.”
“That’s the thing, I’m not joking,” he said quickly, his hands resting on your shoulders. “I want to go with you.”
You cocked your head at him curiously, searching his eyes for any sort of a lie. When you saw none, your mouth hung wide open. “You want to go with me?”
“Yes. More than anything!”
“So, you weren’t joking?”
“Merlin, no. I wasn’t joking,” Garreth smiled warmly at you and it sent your heart into a fluttering frenzy. You blinked rapidly at him, batting your eyelashes like a moth flying towards a flame.
“I swear to Merlin, Garreth if you’re joking you’ll never see the light of day again.”
“I’m not joking,” he chuckled, shaking his head. “Why did you think I was joking?”
“You kept making these big, overly affectionate grand gestures. Hell, some people even thought you were proposing to me earlier today because you were on one knee.”
“That’s my love language,” Garreth replied defensively. “The time to worry is when I’m not being overly affectionate and making grand gestures.”
“Besides,” you ignored him and continued talking, the words coming out of your mouth like vomit. “I thought we were just friends.”
Garreth took a step closer to you, resting his hands on your hips. “I want to be more than just friends with you Y/N.”
“Y-You do?” You asked, shocked to your core. Garreth continued nodding, his smile widening at your shocked expression.
“I want you to come to the ball with me, as my date, not my friend.” Immediately you nodded your head. There was no doubt in your mind that you wanted to go with Garreth, and so you didn’t hesitate to answer. You wrapped your arms around Garreth’s neck and pulled him close to you, nuzzling your head against his chest lovingly. It was sweet, the way his heart was beating so fast. “I take it the nodding of your head is a solid yes?” He asked, grinning widely.
“Yes,” you whispered against his chest. Garreth brought a hand up to stroke your hair.
“Wear something red,” he said after a few moments of silence.
“Red?” You asked, slightly confused.
“Gryffindor colours,” he replied, confirming your suspicion.
“Right,” you nodded your head and pulled away from Garreth’s chest. “I should go back to bed, but I'll see you tomorrow?”
“You can count on it,” Garreth smirked, pressing a tender kiss to your forehead. You felt your heart flutter in your chest as his lips met your head. You brushed your nose up against his before planting your lips softly on his. Garreth was slightly taken back by your boldness, but accepted the kiss nonetheless, eagerly kissing you back. When you pulled away, Garreth was breathless, his chest rising and falling dramatically with each deep breath he took. “I’ll see you tomorrow, beautiful.” And with that, he watched you walk away from the astronomy tower.
Tumblr media
LEANDER PREWETT was shy, nervous and anxious about asking you to go to the Yule Ball with him. In fact, he was insistent on not going at all, but when you batted your eyelashes at him and begged him to come, Leander couldn’t say no. “Who are you going with?” You asked Leander as you walked with him to your next class.
Leander stopped in his tracks and rubbed his neck awkwardly. “I don’t have a date, actually.”
You were shocked to say the least. Leander was a good looking man, who wouldn’t want to go to a ball with him? “Is that why you didn’t want to come?”
“Something like that, yeah.”
You sighed, sitting down on the bench outside the Defence Against The Dark Arts classroom and patting the seat next to you for Leander to sit down. Nervously he looked towards the classroom door before obliging, sitting down next to you but leaving just enough distance to be considered respectful of your personal space. “You know, I don’t have a date either. But just because I don’t have a date, doesn’t mean I don’t want to go.”
Leander nodded, a slight hum leaving his throat at your words. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to go, he wanted to go and enjoy his night. The issue was he wanted to go with you. “I suppose,” he whispered, looking down at his feet.
“Are you thinking of asking anyone?” You asked him softly, placing a hand on his knee. Leander became acutely aware of your hand gripping his kneecap and felt his breath hitch in his throat. He became a bumbling mess of a man as he tried to explain his predicament to you without telling you exactly why he didn’t want to go.
“Yeah - I mean there’s this girl - but I don’t think she’d want to go with me and, I feel too nervous to ask her in case she shoots me down,” Leander muttered.
“Who would ever shoot you down, Leander?” You asked him seriously as you furrowed your eyebrows. “You don’t give yourself enough credit. You’re smart, charming and handsome. Plenty of women are just dying to ask you to the ball!”
Leander felt his heart skip a beat at your description and he looked up from his feet to gaze into your eyes. Were you saying that just to be nice, or did you really mean it? Surely if you meant it, then there’s no way you’d turn him down… right? Leander let out a shaky sigh. “Do you really mean that?”
You nodded your head, a bright smile playing on your lips. You hated to admit it, but the thought of Leander asking someone else other than you to the ball cut you deep inside, but you were his friend and you had to be supportive. “Why don’t you practise asking me? Pretend I'm the girl.” Leander looked horrified at that suggestion and he felt his palms become sweaty. You squeezed his knee in reassurance. “Don’t be shy, Leander, it’s only me.”
‘That’s the problem’, Leander thought as he opened his mouth to speak. His throat ran dry as the words came tumbling off his lips, and fast. “Wouldyouliketocometotheballwithme?”
“Good, but…” you trailed off, giggling slightly. “It was a bit fast. Try to slow down, the trick is to act confident. If you act confident, but not too confident, you can’t go wrong! The girl will be like putty in your hands.”
Leander took another breath and ran a hand through his ginger hair. He looked down at your hand on his knee before looking into your eyes once more. With a deep breath, he spoke. This time sounding more serious and determined than before. “Will you, Y/N L/N, attend the Yule Ball with me?”
You removed your hand from his knee and clapped in approval. You couldn’t deny the beating of your heart in your chest at the thought of him truly asking you to the ball, but you shook your head, trying to get that thought out of your head. “Perfect! If you say it exactly like that, that girl is bound to say yes!”
Leander furrowed his eyebrows and pinched the bridge of his nose. He decided to try again. “Y/N… Will you accompany me to the ball?”
You blinked at him, heartbeat thumping in your ears. You wanted to believe that he was just practising again, but the way Leander was looking at you made you realise quickly that he wasn’t. “M-Me?” You asked him, pointing at your chest.
“Yes. You.”
“Why me?” You managed to stammer out, feeling your cheeks flush red from embarrassment.
Now it was Leander’s turn to place his hand on your knee. “Because you’re smart, charming and beautiful,” he replied, echoing the words that you had used to describe him earlier back at you. “And I would be the luckiest man in this castle if you agreed to attend this ball with me.” You hesitated for a moment, unsure if this was just some prank. Leander squeezed your knee slightly, a gentle push for you to answer his question. You opened your mouth to speak, but no words came out. Instead, you just nodded your head. “You mean it?” He asked, scooting closer to you.
“Yes, I mean it,” you whispered softly, nodding your head. You felt as though the man had just proposed marriage to you.
Leander smirked, all his insecurities washing away with a nod of your head. “Great! I erm, I’ll see you tomorrow?” He asked, nodding his head slowly.
“I’ll see you tomorrow Leander,” you smiled softly, watching as the man walked away from you. Leander couldn’t stop smiling as he walked back to his dorm room, the feeling of finally being able to ask you, making him feel as though he could do anything.
Tumblr media
AMIT THAKKAR watched you from across the room as you talked to Ominis and Sebastian, your two best friends. Amit desperately wanted to ask you to the Yule Ball, but he had managed to convince himself that one of your friends had already asked you. He had lost himself in staring at you, only noticing his gaze remained on you when you turned to look at him. Clearly, Sebastian had pointed out Amit’s staring to you. Just when the embarrassment couldn’t get any worse, you stood up and began walking over to him. Amit stiffened as you walked towards him, his eyes quickly diverting away from you. Then your voice came, “hey Amit.”
“H-Hi,” he managed to stutter out. Amit finally turned to look at you again, a soft, awkward smile on his lips.
“You okay?” You asked, voice silky and smooth. You sat down on the bench next to him, getting yourself comfortable.
“Me? I’m fine. Are you?” He asked, tilting his head to the side.
“I’ve been better,” you replied honestly. This made Amit frown.
“What’s wrong?” He couldn’t help but ask you.
“Well, it’s a bit silly,” you mumbled, shifting awkwardly next to him. “But nobody has asked me to the Yule Ball yet.”
Amit’s eyes widened. Nobody had asked you? How could that be? You were utterly stunning. He couldn’t believe that nobody had asked you, not even Sebastian or Ominis. “So you’re not going with Sebastian? Or Ominis?” His voice held a hopeful tone.
You couldn’t help but laugh slightly. “Sebastian? Ominis? Seriously?”
“I-I just meant as friends,” Amit stammered as you shook your head, still laughing slightly.
“No. I’m not going with either of them,” you stared at Amit with a grin on your face. “What about you? Who are you going with?”
Amit shook his head. “Oh. No one.”
“You haven’t asked anyone?” Amit shook his head, suddenly feeling very nervous. Was he making it obvious that he wanted to ask you? Should he ask you? He felt dizzy at your close proximity and sighed slightly as you asked another question. “Is there anyone you want to ask?”
Amit nodded his head slightly, almost shyly. “Yeah, but, I can’t seem to work up the courage to ask.”
“Why not?” You asked. “Surely whoever you want to ask would say yes! I mean, you’re amazing Amit. Don’t think about it too hard, and don’t think too harshly about yourself either.” You smiled at him, placing a hand on his shoulder comfortingly and squeezing gently. Amit looked at you, a slight blush peppering his cheeks.
“Do you think so?” He asked, eyes widening slightly.
You nodded your head. “Yes. I really do.”
“In that case…” Amit turned to you, a gleam in his eyes. “Would you like to go to the ball with me?”
Your lips turned up into a grin as you looked at Amit, both of your hearts beating rapidly. You didn’t even hesitate to nod at him, smiling widely. “I’d love to go to the ball with you!” You exclaimed, clapping your hands together excitedly.
“R-Really?” Amit asked, shock covering his face.
“Of course! I thought you’d never ask me,” you chuckle, shaking your head. Amit felt his face getting hotter at your comment.
“Honestly? I thought I wouldn’t ask either.”
“I’m glad you did,” you replied, taking his hand in yours and bringing it up to your lips.
“Me too,” he whispered, letting your lips skim across his hand. This was a dream come true for him, and for you too. “What will you be wearing?”
“Ah, you’ll just have to wait and see,” you grin, a slight giggle in your voice.
“Well whatever it is, I’m sure you’re going to look stunning,” Amit smiled, forcing you to blush lightly.
“Thank you, Amit,” you replied, slightly embarrassed. You stood up from your position on the bench to make your way back to your friends, but not before pressing a gentle kiss on Amit’s cheek. “I’ll see you soon, Amit.”
“Y-Yeah, I’ll see you soon.”  Amit watched as you walked away, a wide smile on his face. He was already excitedly anticipating the ball, but now he truly had a reason to: he’d be dancing with you. Drinking with you. He couldn’t wait to see how beautiful you looked. To have you on his arm, finally.

Sebastian: MC is pretty sweet to hang out with. Don’t you guys agree?
Garreth: Well, she is pretty cool. Brilliant at potion making too.
Ominis: I will admit that I rather enjoy her presence.
Sebastian: Yet, it simply isn't enough to be in MC's presence, is it?
Garreth: What are you implying?
Sebastian: I need to be inside of her...
Ominis: *sighs* Sebastian…
Garreth: That’s taking it too far…
I can just imagine Gar and Omi being so over Seb’s obsession with mc 😂
Needed something to lighten the mood today. 💚🖤

Okay hear me out, I thought of doing my own fic about this idea but I feel the world needs to hear this sooner and I’ve never done a fic so would be too long until this happens.
It’s an amortenia idea, but it’s like professor sharp has a personal vendetta that day. No one knows about the lesson plan and he’s got the pot sitting there brewing smelling all whatever it smells like. And like one by one students are trickling in questioning these strange scents and spilling their deepest darkest secrets and professor sharp is just sitting there with smug satisfaction reeling in the chaos he has created.
Some examples I thought of, someone who likes poppy complaining that it smells like she has been in the animal pen at beasts class all day (Jim from the office zoom to professor sharps face)
Ominis like asking the class hey wait is Anne here today? Coz he smells her perfume or something.
The classic mc and Sebastian smelling each other I’ll leave that idea to you.
Leander like smelling the greenhouse coz the loser has a crush on his teacher.
Someone who crushes on Gareth walking in thinking he has already exploded a potion.
And then there’s Amit smelling like books or something to do with astronomy coz that’s all he loves lol.
Please make this a reality 🥲🥲
Love your work btw 😍
Hi! So I love love LOVED this request. It was so fun to write these students trying not to spiral out during class, so thank you for this one!

Professor Sharp was a straight shooter. He valued hard work, self-discipline and intelligence. It showed in the way he ran his classroom. He expected students to be prompt, attentive and alert. He demanded effort and excellence. And he felt genuine satisfaction when his students succeeded – and impatience when they didn’t.
Sharp was a gruff, no-nonsense man. But every once and a while – or maybe just once a year – he couldn’t help but stir the pot… literally and figuratively speaking.
Every April, Sharp chose one day to hold a special lesson for his unsuspecting seventh-year students. Perhaps it was a bit cheeky, maybe even diabolical, depending on who you asked, but Sharp couldn’t help but bask in the controlled chaos that consumed his classroom on this particular day each year.
Today was his annual Amortentia lesson. And nothing was more entertaining than watching a group of hormonal 17- and 18-year-olds fall victim to love’s sweet scent.
Garreth Weasley was the first to enter class that day. No surprise there, Sharp thought as he watched the redhead find his usual work station. Garreth often arrived ahead of the other students to get a head start on his brews, which were often unsanctioned and illicit. Sharp knew this, but chose his battles wisely. Truth be told, he quietly appreciated Garreth’s enthusiasm for potion brewing, even when it was often accompanied by anarchy.
Garreth’s brow furrowed as he strolled into class, his nose audibly sniffing the air that wafted from the cauldron Professor Sharp had placed at the front of the classroom.
“Why in Merlin’s name does it smell like hay in here?” Garreth asked as Leander Prewett entered the class behind him.
“Hay?” Leander blanched. “What are you on about? It smells like… soil and dirigible plums.”
“Huh? It smells like hay and corn… like the Beasts classroom,” Garreth insisted. Professor Sharp blinked at the boys’ exchange.
“Oi!” came the sharp voice of Imelda Reyes as she tossed her books down at her work station. “Weasley, did you already blow up your brew? Why’s it smell like burning billywig stings?”
“Oi, I haven’t done shit!” Garreth said indignantly.
“Language, Mr. Weasley,” Professor Sharp sighed. He earned a sheepish grimace from Garreth, which drew a smirk from Imelda.
“Does it smell like the Herbology greenhouse in here?” Leander asked her. Imelda wrinkled her face at him.
“Herbology?” she repeated blankly. “Don’t tell me you’re already lusting after Professor Garlick first thing in the morning. Keep it in your pants, Prewett.”
“It smells like dirigible plums!” Leander said hotly.
“It smells like Weasley’s been concocting more of that forbidden fizzing whizzbee potion,” Imelda retorted.
They were interrupted by the arrival of Ominis Gaunt. His usual cool and calm features contorted the moment he approached, his hands feeling for the table as he found his work station.
“Was Anne here?” he asked eagerly. “Where’s Sebastian? He didn’t tell me Anne was visiting today.”
Imelda and Garreth swapped a glance. “Anne? Anne Sallow?” Imelda asked carefully.
“Yes,” Ominis replied excitedly, the glowing tip of his wand surveying the room in search of the source of the scent. “It smells like shrivelfig and dittany, like the pain management potion Anne takes. When was she here?”
“Er, she wasn’t mate,” Garreth said carefully. “It’s just been us and Professor Sharp here.”
“Ah, Sebastian, there you are!” Ominis said, ignoring the others as Sebastian Sallow approached. “When was Anne here? Why was Anne here?”
“Anne?” Sebastian repeated blankly. “Anne’s still at St. Mungo’s, Ominis. You know that. Why would she be here?”
“I can smell her,” Ominis insisted, his pale face turning pink. “She has a very distinct scent because of her potions.”
“She’s not here, Ominis,” Sebastian said seriously, his face forming a concerned scowl. “And besides, I think it smells like lavender and… is that cinnamon?”
“Cinnamon?” Ominis repeated blankly. “What in Merlin’s-”
“Good morning,” Natsai Onai said as she took the station next to Sebastian. “Why does it smell like the library in here?”
“The library?” Sebastian repeated.
“Yes, like old books,” Natsai said. The group of students shared a menagerie of confused glances when Amit Thakkar entered the room with you.
“Morning,” you said cheerily, stopping in your tracks at the familiar scent of smoke and licorice. You smiled at Sebastian, who was looking miffed about something.
“What’s wrong?” you asked, eyeing him carefully.
“Nothing,” Sebastian answered. “It’s just… Ominis thought Anne was here.”
“Anne? Here? I thought she was in-”
“London,” Sebastian finished. “Yes, she is. She’s still at St. Mungo’s for the medication trial with the alchemists.”
“Why did you think she was here, Ominis?” you asked, your stare shifting to the other third of your friendship trio.
“Because it smells like her,” Ominis said, looking exasperated. “I know it sounds mad, but it smells like her medicine in here.”
“Really?” you mused, your lips pursing to suppress a knowing smile. It was no secret to you that Ominis held a torch for Anne. You’d never mentioned it though, knowing damn well he’d be mortified if Sebastian found out.
“What’s that on your shirt?” Imelda cut in before you could tease Ominis about his secret crush. You glanced down at the front of your blouse and frowned.
“Oh, that’s just cinnamon,” you sighed as you tried to dust yourself off. “Must have spilled some on myself when I sprinkled it in my breakfast tea.”
“Cinnamon, huh?” Imelda mused. You watched in confusion as her eyes grew wide with slow, stunned realization.
“What is it?” you demanded, but Imelda shook her head as she turned to Amit.
“Oi, Thakkar,” she said. “What’s it smell like in here to you?”
“Beg your pardon?”
“What do you smell?”
“I smell grass,” Amit answered. “Grass and leather.”
Imelda glanced at the leatherbound journal Natsai always carried around.
“Imelda, what’s this about?” you sighed.
Imelda ignored you. “Professor!” she called out with her hand raised. “What’s the assignment for today?”
Professor Sharp, who had been sitting in his usual chair at the table at the front of the classroom, sat back and stretched his legs out. It was a rare expression of casual nonchalance you weren’t used to seeing from him.
He cleared his throat before his eyes scanned the room to confirm all students had arrived. “Class, gather around my table,” he instructed as he rose to his feet. You and Sebastian swapped a curious glance as you abandoned your work station to follow your classmates to the front of the room.
“Who can tell me what this is?” Professor Sharp asked as he motioned toward the large cauldron on the tabletop. It contained a bubbling brew that was a rich shade of magenta.
Your eyes darted around the room as you waited for one of your peers to answer. Imelda raised her hand and you couldn’t help but notice an alarming glint in her eye.
“That’s Amortentia,” she said matter-of-factly. A series of whispers rolled across the room.
“Correct,” Professor Sharp said. “Five points for Slytherin. And who can tell me what Amortentia does?”
You swallowed before raising your hand. “It’s a love potion,” you answered. “Or more like an obsession potion. It can’t actually create the true emotion of love, but it can create dangerous infatuation.”
“And?”
“And it’s said to smell different to everyone,” Imelda cut in smugly. “It smells like whatever they find most attractive.”
Your stomach twisted and you could hear Ominis swear under his breath next to you.
Eyes darted around the classroom as you and your classmates began to assess the inadvertent admissions many of you had made upon your arrival. You silently thanked the higher powers that you hadn't let slip what you had smelled.
“Say Imelda,” Leander mused. “Weren’t you saying it smelled like Garreth’s potions when you walked in?”
The satisfied smirk vanished from Imelda’s face. “Shut it, Prewett!” she snapped. “At least I didn’t walk in and get a hard-on for Professor Garlick.”
Sebastian snorted next to you. “Garreth and Imelda?” he muttered quietly in your ear, “Now there’s a match made in hell.”
“And what do you smell?” you asked casually, praying you didn’t seem too curious.
“Nice try,” Sebastian replied with his signature half smirk as he crossed his arms. You were afraid to know the truth anyway.
Meanwhile, Ominis was looking even paler than usual. You smiled with a blend of sympathy and amusement while your eyes darted back and forth between him and Sebastian, wondering if Sebastian would realize the object of Ominis’ attraction.
“Hey Prewett,” you teased. “What’s this about you and Professor Garlick?”
You grinned as a crimson flush crept over Leander’s ears.
“I merely find her to be a rather inspiring teacher,” he said indignantly.
“More like you want to pull those braids,” Imelda said with a snicker.
“Alright, that’s enough,” Professor Sharp’s voice cut through the chatter. “Get to brewing. Recipe is on page 493.”
Meanwhile, Ominis looked hell-bent on busying himself with his potion.
“Need some help powdering your moonstone?” you asked kindly. Ominis seemed to sense your knowing smile.
“If you don’t mind,” he sighed. You couldn’t help but notice the way he was fidgeting with his peppermint leaves.
You eyed Sebastian for a moment, watching him tease Leander some more, to ensure he wasn’t listening.
“Perhaps you should write to Anne,” you offered softly. “I know she’d love to hear from you.”
“She doesn’t need any more stress in her life,” Ominis muttered quietly.
“On the contrary, perhaps hearing from someone she cares for would help ease some of that stress,” you noted. Ominis seemed to mull your words over, but before he could respond, Imelda began pelting Leander with Ashwinder eggs.
It seems Leander had made a suggestive remark about Imelda fancying Garreth and was now facing the consequences.
At the front of the room, Professor Sharp sighed, though had anyone been paying him any attention, they might have noticed the twinkle of amusement in his eyes. Still, he had appearances to keep up and strode briskly toward the sparring students just before Imelda could grab a fistful of Leander’s hair.
He gave Imelda and Leander detention and surveyed the remainder of the room before returning to his table up front. Natsai had busied herself with her brew, leaving her oblivious to the shifty glances she was receiving from Amit, who was looking much sweatier than usual.
Sebastian, who had been enjoying the chaos with outward glee, finally settled in front of his own cauldron to begin the assignment.
“So,” you said with careful deliberation in an attempt to appear casual. “You’re really not going to reveal what you smell?”
Sebastian offered you a pointed stare. “Can’t go telling you all my secrets, can I?” You responded with a dramatic eye roll. “Besides,” Sebastian continued, “I don’t see you revealing what you smell either.”
“Sallow, I thought you said you smelled lavender and cinnamon when you walked in,” Imelda, who had been eavesdropping, offered. She flashed an innocent smile at Sebastian, though you knew Imelda well enough to be sure it was facetious.
Sebastian’s freckled cheeks were flushed. His features tightened and you began to fear for Imelda’s safety.
“I said maybe cinnamon,” Sebastian lied. “I don’t really know what I smelled.”
“And what’s that on your shirt again?” Imelda asked you. Your stomach somersaulted no less than three times.
“It’s cinnamon,” you said carefully. “I always put it in my morning tea.”
“Oh, how interesting,” Imelda drawled as she smirked at you. “And what kind of perfume do you wear?”
“I… it’s… it’s a lavender perfume my mother gave me,” you answered.
“Lavender, you say? Hey Sallow, that’s quite a coincidence,” Imelda continued. Sebastian was looking positively distraught. You wanted to crawl under the table and hide, or find a secluded place to scream. Perhaps Professor Sharp had some poison on hand for a quick and painless death.
“I don’t know what you mean,” Sebastian said simply. It was the wrong thing to say, because Imelda, when prompted, always pushed harder.
“I mean, you said you smell lavender and cinnamon in the Amortentia,” Imelda continued. “And it just so happens that your very best friend wears lavender perfume and puts cinnamon in her tea.”
“So what of it?” Sebastian snapped. You, unsure of what to make of these developments, remained quiet. What could you possibly say that wouldn't make both you and Sebastian feel like absolute and utter fools.
“Just think it’s an… interesting coincidence,” Imelda said simply before she returned to her potion.
You and Sebastian worked in excruciating silence for the remainder of the class, the scent of smoke and licorice assaulting your sense of smell as you completed your potion.
With 15 minutes remaining, Professor Sharp stalked around the classroom to observe his students’ progress. As he moved from table to table, he couldn’t help but pick up on the tension that emanated from each cluster of students.
He noticed Amit looking ill, possibly on the verge of passing out, while Natsai was locked in on her potion with alarming focus. Leander was scowling as he worked. Garreth was casting uneasy glances toward Imelda, who was still looking smug. Ominis was pretending to be hard at work, but it was clear his attention was elsewhere – like hundreds of miles south in London.
And then there was you and Sebastian, working in silence though the tension you both carried in your jaws would have been concerning to Professor Sharp had it not been so entertaining.
"Wait a minute," Sebastian said slowly as his head snapped up. His stare found Ominis and you shifted nervously from one foot to the other. "Ominis, didn't you say you smelled Anne's pain medication?" Sebastian asked sharply.
You held your breath as you watched the color drain from Ominis' face.
"Sebastian, look," Ominis started cautiously. "I'm not... I just- it's-"
"Why didn't you say something sooner?" Sebastian demanded. An uneasy hush rolled over the entire room. All eyes in the classroom were on the Slytherin boys now.
"I'm sorry," Ominis blurted out. "I didn't know how. I didn't want you to get the wrong impression."
"But if you'd said something, I wouldn't have had to put up with listening to Anne's senseless pining," Sebastian continued.
"S-senseless pining?"
"Yes, you prat," Sebastian sighed. "Anne's had a thing for you since our third year."
Your jaw dropped. Professor Sharp fought to conceal a smile.
"Oh," was all Ominis could manage. Sebastian shook his head at his friend.
"Unbelievable," he muttered. "You really thought I'd be angry with you?"
"You do have a proclivity for irrational ire," Ominis noted. You snorted over your cauldron.
"You're my oldest friend, mate," Sebastian continued. "You're the only person I'd want to end up with my sister."
"Oh."
A sudden scuffle at the back of the room stole the attention from the Slytherins. You craned your neck, your eyes widening as you realized Andrew Larson had Duncan Hobhouse in a headlock.
"Think you're going to steal my girl?" Andrew shouted at Duncan. "Coffee and biscuits? I know you smelled her." His hold on Duncan tightened, causing the smaller boy to whimper. Andrew finally released him with a shove, sending Duncan toppling to the floor. "If I ever catch you anywhere near her, I'll curse you to Marunweem."
Professor Sharp, who had rushed toward the altercation, scolded Andrew and sent him from the classroom. Duncan, who you could swear had tears in his eyes, slunk back to his seat.
“Hey Professor,” Imelda asked suddenly, her hand raised.
“Yes, Reyes?” Professor Sharp sighed.
“You didn’t tell us what you smell in the Amortentia.”
Professor Sharp blinked in an effort to suppress his shock. His eyes drifted over the classroom, and he was met by wide, curious gazes. He should’ve known his quiet, calculated scheming would try to catch up to him one day. He cleared his throat and retreated toward his office door. “And on that note, class dismissed.”
Sebastian gathered his books in record time, his eyes glued to the floor as he made a beeline for the door. But you were just as quick.
“Sebastian,” you said as you caught up to him. Your own eyes darted around, looking anywhere but at the boy beside you. “Do… do you still want to work on Confringo target practice in the Undercroft later?”
“Huh? Oh- right. Yes. Of course.”
“Okay. I’ll bring the snacks this time.”
“Alright.”
“I was thinking cauldron cakes and licorice snaps. I’ve been craving them.”
Sebastian finally turned to meet your gaze, his brow furrowed in a frown. “You hate licorice.”
“I know,” you agreed. “But I have a feeling I’ll have a hankering for it later. After all, that’s what I smelled in my Amortentia.”

wreathe ; sebastian sallow
words count: long read
fem reader! x Sebastian Sallow
warning: jealous Sebastian
summary: Sebastian looks like her bestfriend under the sunlight, but as soon as the night comes the lines get blurry and everyone's obvious to it.
part one, I guess?
English is not my first language, trying my best, enjoy :)
Tumblr media
Sebastian was known for being a charmer and a good learner; people whispered about his ability in dueling and his look was praised by many.
He had a habit of breaking the rules and he was stubborn, as much as it was allowed.
What most people didn’t know about him though was that the boy had in fact scares so deep, every once in a while they started to bleed.
And god was Sebastian Sallow hot headed.
"Ominis!" You couldn’t help but wrap your arms around the boy’s neck as soon as you saw him.
"I missed you" you whispered into the boy’s chest, his arms slowly holding you closer.
"Well well, isn’t this our very own savior" the boy muttered smiling.
After everything that had happened the year prior, Ominis had been a constant in your life; exchanging letters almost every day over summer, the two of you had met up to hang out a few times too.
He used to tell you about his family issues while you confessed yours.
Your bond became so strong you felt he was the brother you never had.
"Y/n!" You turned your head just in time to see Anne sprint your way and wrap her arms around your torso.
"Anne" you smiled, embracing her, "it’s good to see you".
She looked good, you couldn’t help but notice, her cheeks were pink, and she seemed to have gained a few pounds too; she was surely looking much better than the last time you had saw her.
"I can’t tell you how excited I am to be back, even if I have a load of work to catch up to", a breath and then a whisper: "uncle Solomon won’t admit it but he’s happy he is finally alone".
Anne left your side then to crush into Ominis.
That’s when your eyes had met his.
"No hugs for me?" The boy had asked, with that same playful tone you’ve grown to love.
If possible, your smile grew bigger.
"Sebastian" you mumbled, letting the brunette cage you in a hug.
Sebastian had always been your light in your time at Hogwarts: with all the fights, the heartbreak and the laughters he had somehow guided you through your first year in the magical world.
Sticking by his side at first felt natural, like you two were somehow tied together; that was, until you grew attached and your new best friend felt more like a man to you.
Everyone knew: you, Sebastian and Ominis were a solid trio, when you were looking for one you always found the other two nearby.
But this year, with the newfound health of Anne since the death of Lockwood, your trio was about to become a quartet and you were somehow excited.
"How have you been?" You whispered in Sebastian’s ear, his nose brushing against your hair as he muttered back: "Good, kinda missed you".
"Come on guys! We’re gonna be late!" Anne was excitedly pushing you towards the great hall before you could protest.
Back in your seats, with Sebastian’s shoulder brushing against yours, you realized how affected you actually were by his presence.
This year was going to be a long one…
The morning after, you woke up to an excited Anne walking around the room putting on her robes as she was chased by Imelda’s harsh insults.
"Please shut up" the brunette pleaded as the Sallow girl kept on rumbling how exciting this whole journey was going to be.
"It’s first day, can you guys believe it?" She squitted, disappearing into the Common room, leaving you two behind.
"I swear if she doesn’t calm down".
When you saw the girl again you couldn’t help but notice her bright eyes as she was laughing with Ominis at the Breakfast table.
"Goodmorning" you spoke, approaching your friends, sliding swiftly beside Sebastian.
"Good morning to you" the boy spoke, gently brushing your shoulder once you were seated.
"What were you guys talking about?"
"Ah! They were vexing me" Sebastian spoke "it is fortunate you came to rescue me".
"Oh Sallow, how many times will I have to save your ass?"
Anne chuckled out loud as Sebastian let out a scoff "nevermind, you’re even worse than them"
Before heading to your first lesson of the day, Charms, you passed by the Gryffindor table, hoping to see the friends you still haven’t had the opportunity to meet.
"Natty!"
The girl turned around with a smile, "y/n! How have you been? Did you receive my owl?"
"I very much did, thank your granny for those cookies, they were amazing".
"Which cookies? And why didn’t I get any?" Garreth’s voice rose from beside natty as you aknolowged the boy.
His red hair were longer and his shoulders broader, it was hard to tell since he was seated, but you could definetly say he had grown up.
"Shut up, Garreth" Natty had dismissed the boy as you left the table.
Ominis was waiting for you at the entrance as you both left to class.
That night, seated by the fire in your common room, you were reading a book while Anne was making small conversation with Imelda.
You didn’t know how the conversation led to it, but Grreth’s name was brought up, Imelda noticing how much the ginger had grown over summer, pointing out he would have made a fine beater.
"You were talking to him this morning, weren’t you y/n?"
Your attention was suddenly brought back to the present.
"Yes", "could there be something tender?" Imelda smirked as your nose left the pages to focus on the conversation.
"Obviously not" you had replied, to which Anne softly smiled, "Imelda, quiet down, people are gonna hear us".
"You’re no fun" she had replied, changing topic.
That night, as you lied in bed, you kept on asking yourself if in fact you were somehow charmed by Weasley, or any boy for that matter and the answer came like a whisper, so soft you couldn’t hear it either.
"Who do you think is gonna make team this year?" Anne had asked, walking with you, Omins and Sebastian to Hogsmade.
"Why do you suddenly care about Quidditch?" Sebastian had asked.
"I haven’t seen a game in ages!" She replied stern.
The bickering between twins bringing a smile to your face as you locked your arm with Ominis, "hey you".
While the twins bickering fell into the background, Ominis turned to you "what about this thing with Weasley?"
"Ominis!" You scolded suddenly, taken aback by his comment, "how do you know?"
Ominis scrolled his shoulders "so it is true? You fancy him?"
"Who fancies whom?" Sebastian had token a step forward, suddenly intrigued by your discussion with Omins as you held the blond boy’s arm tighter, that was enough of an answer for him.
"Oh nobody, just stupid chatters" the boy dismissed before Sebastian could investigate further.
The thought of you fancying someone hunted the boy for the rest of the day, even when the night had quieted the chatter down and everyone went to sleep.
He couldn’t stop thinking about it, so he left the warmth of his bedsheets, putting on a green and silver jumper and disappearing into the corridors.
Making his way to the common room Sebastian was surprised to see someone else there.
Their head was stuck in a book and their legs curled up onto the couch.
He had recognized right away the silhouette and he felt like smiling.
You had escaped your room that night, determined to finish the book you had been reading.
It didn’t startle you when you felt a weight pop beside you on the couch, instead you couldn’t help but smile when Sebastian lowered the book from your hands, meeting your gaze.
"Come back to me, will you?" He had whispered chuckling.
"I was just about to find out where the main character had disappeared to" you answered, your smile betraying your fake annoyance.
Sebastian chuckled again, his gaze shifting towards the fire.
"Couldn’t sleep?" You asked then, your gaze worried.
The boy hummed.
This scene had happened so many times already: the boy sadly confessing the pain of his sister’s illness to you, in the dark of the common room, only allowing himself to be vulnerable in your presence.
But this time, this time his sister was better, sleeping peacefully upstairs and you were there, with your eyes sleepy and your skin warm.
So Sebastian found himself smiling as he looked your way.
Your arm was resting on the back of the couch as it held your heavy head up, you were facing him, your breathing softly pleasant.
"Do you really fancy someone?" The boy found himself ask, suddenly.
You chuckled, looking at him playfully.
"Why?" You had asked.
"Just curious, you never told me you liked someone".
"It’s not- it’s Imelda starting stupid rumors to see me flustered, that’s all" you reassure.
He could finally relax, his back meeting the cushions as his fingers traveled to your leg.
"You want to finish the book, don’t you?"
"It’s fine" you laughed, but Sebastian didn’t buy it.
"Come on, finish it, I’ll keep you company".
It was hard to focus back on the story, with his hand tracing small circles above your bare leg, but it became quickly a gentle caress as you kept on reading.
It was ten minutes later when you started to get sleepier.
"Seb" you muttered closing the book, the boy humming while looking at you.
"We should get some sleep".
"Maybe we should"
Neither of you making the move to leave.
"I’m comfy" you admit laughing softly.
"Let’s not leave yet, then" he spoke.
The fire was cracking in the background when you shifted, moving closer to the boy, your head now resting on his shoulder as you fell into the warmth of his body.
Sebastian held his hand firmer on your leg now, helping you get closer, as he rested his head on top of yours.
"Would you tell me?" He asked then.
"Tell you what?"
"If you fancied someone, would you tell me?"
"Yes Sebastian, if I’ll ever find someone pleasant enough, I promise I will tell you first".
Four weeks had passed since the start of term and with October approaching the air had got chillier and the days shorter.
You had spent the last three hours in the library, making a research for a new species of mimbulus mimbletonia, something professor Sharp believed to be absolutely essential and you were ready to hide into the comfort of your room and fall asleep.
"Y/n!"
Your eyes travelled the room till they settled on the young man dressed in red and gold making his way towards you.
"Hey, Garreth"
"Hey" he smiled softly, "were you headed to your common room?"
"Yes"
"Mind if I accompany you?"
"Hu? Ah no, you can come".
You and the boy left the library, heading for the dungeons.
"I was wondering if you had a spere hour tomorrow morning? If I can be honest with you I’m not keeping up well with Onai’s crap about tea leaves".
You couldn’t help but slip a laugh.
"So now you’re laughing at me?" a playful smile plastered on his lips.
"No, no, I’m sorry."
You turned to your right, Garrett following behind as you started to walk down the stairs.
"I have a free hour right after breakfast, sounds good?".
Garreth’s smile widened "sound lovely to me".
"What is it that you fail to get about the art of predicting catastrophes?" You teased as the boy stroke his neck.
"I seem to prefer to see only the bright side"
Letting out a stern chuckle you jumped the last step, the sliver snake appearing on the wall as you turned around to face the ginger.
"First lesson: there are no bright sings in divination".
You herd someone caugh as you turned around, Sebastian was lying by the door, his eyes locked onto you.
"Goodnight, Garreth" you spoke as you made your way into the Slytherin common room.
Garreth looking at you disappear before Sebastian followed inside and the door turned to be a wall again.
"Escorted by Weasley, huh?"
The sound of the water fountain running in your ears as you made your way downstairs with Sebastian.
"It seems so" you had replied distracted, something that sent Sebastian’s soul on fire.
As soon as you stepped into the common room, Imelda’s voice rose up.
"So I was right? Weasley boy for the win?"
You scoffed and Sebastian felt his body go still.
Were you really going out with that loser?
He didn’t know how much it bothered him, until the following day, at breakfast as he was talking about something funny that happened in his class you excused yourself, mumbling you had to meet up with someone.
Of course, that someone was Weasley and of course, as impulsive as he was, he was tempted to follow you.
"Sebastian" Ominis had called, sensing the shifting of his robes, "please don’t do it".
Sebastian had scoffed then, returning to his place, violently eating was was left in his plate.
He had time to calm down until he saw you again: your shoulders were moving up and down softly as you rested your head on a potion’s book, peacefully swimming into sleep.
It felt like his anger disappeared for a second as he pulled a chair close to yours, his own head resting on the table as he looked at you.
He stole a few glances at your harmless form, before squeezing your shoulder softly.
He felt like choking when you softly smiled at him as soon as you your eyes opened.
"Sebastian" you spoke, a voice so soft he thought he had never heard something more adorable in his life.
"Why are you resting your head on the table?" You had asked then, to which Sebastian smiled.
"I heard this is were we take naps" the boy teased as you shifted softly, a strand of hair falling into your eyes.
Sebastian’s finger brushed it off softly, moving a strand behind your ear, discovering your face once again.
That gesture might have woken you up suddenly because you jumped on your seat, quickly collecting your things.
"Oh god, I really fell asleep!"
"Hey, hey, calm down there, will you?"
But your panic only increased as you saw what time it was.
"I was supposed to meet Garrett half an hour ago!"
"Garret? Again?"
"Yes, we didn’t get to finish this morning"
If he had known that waking you up would have resulted in you leaving him behind for Weasley, he would have much preferred watching you sleep.
Sebastian got up at the same time as you, his anger coming back to him in waves, "does Weasley really need your help?".
You looked taken aback "yes, he has told me himself he needs help in divination".
Sebastian chuckled darkly, "and he asked you?"
"Are you saying I’m not competent enough?" Your demeanour suddenly changed and Sebastian witnessed as your soft aura started to tint black.
He knew this side of you, he had seen it one to many times and it didn’t scare him, in fact, it fascinated him.
The fire in your eyes was matched now, as Sebastian grew taller.
"I’m saying you wouldn’t be the first person that pops into my mind".
You scoffed then, holding the books closer to your chest, pride filling your lungs.
"How about you leave the adults to study and mind your business?"
"The adults?"
"Yes you child"
You tried to turn away from him then, but the boy wouldn’t let you go far.
"Hey! Don’t turn your back on me while I’m talking!"
"You’re not talking Sebastian, you’re behaving like a five years old"
"Said the one who can’t finish a conversation like two mannered people!"
Your eyes got bigger "are you saying I’m not well mannered either?"
A sigh escaped your lips "listen Sallow-"
"Sallow?"
"That’s still your name isn’t it?"
"Thought you preferred to call me something else".
That unusual use of words didn’t go unheard from you, as you stared deep into the boy’s orbits.
"Careful there, Sallow, you sound almost-"
"Almost what?" The brunette challenged you.
You felt your blood boil as a voice raised from the students around"get a room!" Someone yelled out.
"Shut it!" You both replied, parting ways, boiling inside, holding hands with pride.
"She’s so stubborn!" Sebastian huffed.
"Mh what a news" Omins mumbled.
"It’s just, do you even think she’s good in divination?"
Ominis did seem startled by the question, but he answered nonetheless.
"I mean, is there a thing y/n is not good at?"
Sebastian couldn’t answer as he sighed flustered.
"He’s a nightmare Anne!" Y/n complained pacing back and forward into their room.
The twin of her best friend, who was at the moment an annoying prick, was resting on her bed, trying to take care of a strange purple plant.
The Sallow girl hummed, listening to her friend rumble.
"He practically attacked me! Saying I’m incompetent? After everything I did?"
"You know he doesn’t think that about you" Anne scolded.
"But he said it! The way he was looking at me Anne, I felt like jinxing him on the spot!"
The twin left a chuckle, "you know he’s protective of you y/n".
Y/n fell into the bed, her hands tight knots as she sighed flustered, "the way that boy riles me up!"
