Will visit Caesar’s and your island just to mess with you and gift your villagers ugly clothing and furniture.

Is absolutely obsessed over aquatic Villagers and filling the fish part of the museum to take pictures there with you.

Organized Town, pretty layout, casual player that takes his time to slowly work towards everything.

Will make his house gaming themed.

One part of the island is dedicated to recreating the cafe and fill it with references to you and his other friends.

Eager to get his friendship up with all his villagers, loves to give them gift and talks to them daily.

Loves the Nookmile tickets/ Kapp'n trips and goes on them whenever he can.

Froggy Chair obsessed.

Owns the Sanrio Amiibo cards and decorates with it.

Also has all the villager amiibo cards and everyone is welcome to borrow them to get their favorites on their respective islands.

Loves the museum and eagerly works on filling it, gifting anything he already has to you.

Cute natural island theme with loads of plants and occasional duplicated statues spread around.

Made a cute park for you that has lots of hybrid flowers and cutesy furniture.

Loves all villagers, but his favorites are the frogs.

Anasui is banned from all islands, and you designed a custom pattern with his face and a red X on it that all of you have next to your airport.

Johnny wasn't big into it at first and then got completely hooked.

Loves Gyroids and has multiple in each room.

Gyro and he trade furniture and ignore the museum completely. They are only interested in decorating their homes and island to have it perfect.

Made it big with turnips but refuses to explain to Gyro how it works.

Was confused at first why you liked the game so much.

Yasuho and you made him his sailor outfit and buy him some furniture to start him up with.

You two explain the whole concept roughly to him and then let him play.

You never expected him to figure it out super quickly and making loads of money with turnips.

His house was upgraded faster than yours and Yasuho’s, he began making his own custom paths, made an orchard on his island.

He quickly takes a huge liking to the game and loves everything about it.

He leaves the island largely as it is, the only stuff he really decorates are his house, the orchard (reminiscent of the Higashikata one) and the little area with his villagers.

The rooms in his house are all dedicated to a person that he then decorates accordingly to. (You, Yasuho, Holly, the Higashikata Family etc)

I just got an NFC plastic ID card printer which is like the most hyperfixation random purchase but:

make a copy of my game collection in a card deck with custom art. Right now the scans will just have to go to a link containing the ROM, but when NFC gets more storage capabilities I can just carry entire retro games on a plastic card with no volatile memory!!!

PROXY CARDS! I'm never buying trading/game cards ever, I'm just gotta print them on some nice plastic that's never gonna rip or break, and if you scan it it'll go to some link that'll read the entire card aloud or smth. This also lets me go make my own card games or weird wacky stuff! Maybe my favorite videos or websites I'll just place on a card as a physical bookmark.

— Choosing Villagers —

As always I recommend choosing at least one villager from every personality type (there's 8 total) and pick any of your remaining favourites for your remaining two - making 10 villagers in all! The reason for this is your villagers will teach you random reactions based on their personality list or send you items according to certain types or styles. So without have a diverse island, you could be missing out on cool new stuff!

Finding specific villagers can be hard, but here are a few ways to find them if you have an open slot or a villager moving out!

Always check who's in your campsite when you have it unlocked. You never know who's going to pay you a visit and it could be someone you never thought of or met before! Or maybe someone you really want!

If you're able to get some nook miles tickets (NMT) - use them to explore new islands! If you have an open plot you have a 100% chance of finding a random villager there! Even if you don't like the villager you find, don't forget to look around that island for some resources - chop those trees for wood, collect those seashells, hit the rocks for clay and iron, and dig up the flowers or fruit trees (by eating a piece of fruit) so you can plant them on your own island! If you're lucky enough to get a bamboo island, I also recommend chopping bamboo or digging up the shoots. These come in handy for some DIY recipes!

If you have amiibo cards of a villager you want - head into your resident services building and scan it using the ABD to your right by using your right joystick. This only works if someone isn't already in your campsite - so be careful! If you scan them in on three different days and do the tasks they ask of you, you can talk to them about moving in! Even if your island is full, you are able to ask a villager to move out to make room. Kind of a rude eviction, but they'll find an island that's their forever home!

If you aren't afraid of chatting up a few strangers and trading things in-game like bells, items, other villagers (if they are in boxes - or in the process of moving out!) or NMT I recommend sites like Nookazon or even Discord Servers or groups dedicated to all things Animal Crossing. These places are a great way to find someone who can help you get that villager you want! They'll simply invite you to their island after you agree on a fair trade. You'll bring whatever they asked of you to their island and drop it on the ground for them. Afterwards, they will direct you to the villager's house who you can go in and ask if they'd like to move to your island!

Animal Crossing amiibo cards for Sale

I've made a number of amiibo card trading and, later on, selling posts in the past. After I brought my number of needed amiibo cards down to nine and the most recent trading/selling post stopped gaining notice for some time, I bought the final handful individually on eBay. Now I still have a bunch of duplicate amiibo cards left over from the first four series, the Welcome amiibo series, and the New Horizons fifth series. So...so many from the New Horizons fifth series.

Since I have pretty much all the cards I want now, I have nothing left to trade for, so this is exclusively a selling post. (Unless maybe you have a spare Japanese promo "CP" card for Isabelle or K.K. you're willing to trade off, because I'll take 'em for collection purposes, but I am not desperate enough to spend over a hundred bucks to a couple of scalpers.)

Most of the duplicates I have are North American versions (they are labeled with two alternate name translations and their birthday formatted as MM/DD), and the occasional European versions of the cards that end up in my duplicate piles are labeled as such in the list below (they are labeled with four alternate name translations and their birthday formatted as DD/MM). I will sell anywhere between 1 to 6 cards at a time, and the price I am asking for is 1 dollar per card plus 64 cents to the total. If I’m mailing outside of the United States, that’s 1 dollar extra.

Here's what I got for Christmas for 2022.

I got Diary of a Wimpy Kid Diper Overlode, a Sonic Unleashed Suitcase if I were to put something in. I got an Isabelle muchi muchi pillow. Which I was gonna get a Tails one, but didn't have it. Speaking of Tails, I got a Tails Plushie and even got a Knuckles one as well since I have like a 2003 version of the Knuckles Plush from like Sonic X or something. I got two Pikachu Plushies that are summer themed since Summer is my favorite season. Like I got the one with the hat and the one with the blue hibiscuit, since I remember seeing the Pikachu Plushies like that at GameStop since I didn't know GameStop can sell merchandise like plushies and clothes and other misc stuff since it usually sells Video games. Cause I have been to GameStop for many years every time I want to go and buy a video game. And for video games, I got 3 Switch games and a PlayStation 4 and a PlayStation 5 game. For PlayStation 5, I got Destruction All-stars and for PlayStation 4, I got Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, since I do love Need for Speed a lot since it is my favorite Racing game I can play. But for Destruction All-stars however, I'll give the game a shot just depends if I have enough memory on my PlayStation 5 until I get a SSD Hard Drive that can get them all in. For Switch, I got Kirby Star Allies which I'll be playing until I get Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which would be bizarre if I had to get 2 Copies like one for me and one for my sister. Cause my sister does want to try that game out too. I got Pokemon Scarlet cause I know if some people have Pokemon Violet, I might play with others especially if I want to battle or trade. And avoid any of the glitchy parts until they decide to update the game. Next I got a Mario Party Superstars game which I have played Super Mario Party with other people including like my sisters played it and same for people online, which I should give it a shot with playing Mario Party Online since it isn't fun when playing multiplayer games by yourself. I got a Bluey cup like if I were getting a small drink like Hot Chocolate or something warm. And for Bluey in a Christmas special, what's confusing is that Bluey celebrates Christmas in the Summer. That's cause in the Summer Hemisphere like Brazil, Australia, New Zealand Etc. Bluey does come from the Country, Australia cause the seasons are a lot different compared to the Northern Hemisphere. I got a PlayStation 5 Controller in Red since I do enjoy some of the different colors of the controllers. And if my White Controller is low on Batteries, I can always charge it and use a different controller. And if they're both fully charged, I'm sure I can invite a friend over and play a 2 player game as well as for having either my brother or Sisters playing with me. I got some new Pure Bass Wireless Bluetooth Headphones like the JBL Brand, now I can still use some Noise Cancelling stuff so no sounds would ever bother me like if i were sleeping or wanting to listen to music while not being interrupted for anything not important. And finally, I got a Sonic Unleashed Suitcase like if I were going to put something in it like pencils or bookmarks and stuff. And I got some Sonic theme socks which are from the Sequel to the Live Action Sonic Movie even though I haven't seen it yet, which I should if I want to watch it on Hulu or Paramount+ I also got these Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards from Series 5, but they're so small that my mom said they still work. But I have to test them when I get the chance. And that's all the Presents I got for This year's Christmas. I hope everyone will have a Merry Christmas.

So, for people not tuned into the Farm Sim Localization Divorce, every time a Story of Seasons title comes out, Natsume puts out one of their titles using the old trademark (which I will avoid using here in an effort to evade the search function because this is by its nature gonna be a 'point and laugh' post and THIS ONE looks like it might actually be decent, perhaps.)

We don't know much about the upcoming title, except that apparently Natsume HAS caught up with *checks notes* literally everyone else in the genre down to SQUARE ENIX'S foray-but-not, Harvestella, and FINALLY un-gender-locked romances! Yay! We have seen a trailer, and for once it looks... promising? Maybe? But we've all been burned before here.

I admit, if it weren't for the eyes, it would be a pretty cute backpack, but I can't shake the thought that it's staring at me.

Week 10 - All This...For a Cat???

When you think of Animal Crossing New Horizons, what comes to mind? Soft, calming music? Friendly neighbours who give you presents just for saying hello? A life filled with peace of mind and financial freedom the likes of which you could never even dream of having in real life because capitalism is-

Moving on...Surely when you see an image like this:

You don’t think of seedy blackmarket trading and obsessive fans all in the pursuit of one cat, right?

Some context first; Animal Crossing New Horizons follows you, the player character, playing as yourself as you escape to a deserted island in order to create your very own island paradise filled with flora and fauna and loads of friendly villagers alike. (Nintendo n.d.) It’s truly the epitome of the ideal life many of us wish to lead. Speaking of villagers though, as you expand your island and carefully curate it to your liking you’ll be approached by in-game villagers also seeking to get away and live on an island paradise with you as their mayor. And that’s where it all started.

This is Raymond.

A smug little cat villager dressed in business attire, you have to admit he is kinda cute. He’s also one of the hardest players to get within the ACNH universe. You see, Raymond can only be gotten through either by buying his Amiibo cards, which are sold in random packs of three so it’ll be ages before you actually get him, or by just sheer blind luck and determination with visiting other islands and hoping, praying you run into him. With over 100 different villager options though, you’re hard pressed either way. (Megarry 2024)

You can however, get your friends who already have him to trade him to you for a small price. With how rare he is though, and with so few players having him, it started an underground black market of trading between online players. Prices to get Raymond skyrocketed, with users who already did have him charging ludicrous prices to those who wished to buy him. It was truly a dark time in the once cheery community. However, good always wins in the end..somehow?

For a short period of time, the Internet was flooded with people sharing their own tips and tricks to get Raymond without needing to go through scalpers. The entire community came together to help one another through the use of online forums like Quora and various Animal Crossing related wikis all to get this particular cat. Now while I don’t necessarily see the hype behind a cat in a suit (please don’t kill me I have a family), I can enjoy the touching display shown within the community to help one another.
